Hunting the Hunter
Date of Scene: 26 March 2016
Location: Pikarigaoka - Clover Tower
Synopsis: While hunting innocents for X-eggs, Utau is in turn being stalked by a psychic vampire. However, realizing they have something in common, Utau freely allows her to feed on her.
Cast of Characters: Utau Hoshina, Norie Okana

Utau Hoshina has posed:
It's a quiet evening on the clover tower. Not many people are out here this late at night, but of course, there are bound to be potential victims. And better yet, potential victims that are alone and unable to fend for themseles.

Utau had once promised herself that she would fight Easter to the bitter end, and with a brief glimpse of someone to believe in outside of Easter, she had been more sloppy in the evil tasks that Easter had set out for her.

Of course, having her heart broken had only hardenned her emotions, and instead, she'd gone into full reverse, pouring her heart and soul into doing Easter's bidding.

Which of course brings her to this night, prowling Clover tower, searching for one who might possess a powerful dream, and the potential of a brilliant heart's egg..
Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana hasn't quite had a heart for the past eight months. Instead, there's some sort of void where that should be. If there was ever a heart egg here- it's been gone for just as long- perhaps a tiny dancer in a swan lake themed egg. Instead, what you have is Norie Okana following Utau in the shadows.

Utau is looking for potential targets. Norie's already found her potential target. Utau herself.

The girl steps from the shadows and begins walking towards Utau. Her eyes are blue right now- for the moment. She looks normal, if a little pale- like someone who spends all day inside might.

"Miss, excuse me!?" she says with a mock worry. "I think you should come with me...!" she says.

Her eyes shift to purple. When Utau looks at her- she can feel this soft oppression /trying/ to get through. But Utau's magical nature protects her from anything this is apparently trying to do. It just 'feels' weird.

What is this girl trying to do? She appears to be failing at hypnotism. It doesn't seem like she knows Utau is magical. She's probably mistaken her for a mundane- which is most likely- she's just walking around as Utau!
Utau Hoshina has posed:
She had her the voice of someone singing earlier; Probably another idol wannabe, but the voice had potential. And potential meant that individual possessed quite possibly a strong heart's egg. The voice however, was still further up the tower. She continues to walk around the walkway, following the sound of the voice..

But is soon interrupted by the sound of another voice; A young girl by the sounds of it. But what's she trying to do? Ordering her around like that? What nerve! Utau spins around to face the girl, glaring at her coldly with those amethyst eyes of her. "Excuse me? Are you trying to order ME around?" she huffs quite arrogantly! No one orders Utau around!

But what's this? Looks like a young girl. What' she doing wandering around these parts? And furthermore, there's definitely something a bit off about her. Is she magical in nature? Does she posses a strong heart's egg? Utau would normally just ignore her and continue after her original target, but she is curious to know why she feels so off.

    "what do you want?"
Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana blink... during the blink, her eyes shift back to blue. She frowns--w--why didn't that work!? It's never... not worked! She hypnotizes someone, she drags them behind a corner, she drains them. She makes sure people can seem them. Instead....

Nothing with this girl. Is she more drained than she thinks? No.. she isn't.. feeling like she's 'starving'. She gives a dour frown.

"Why aren't you...." she mutters more to herself than Utau---

Hahahahaha~ sings a voice in Norie's head.

Norie does indeed feel very strange on a magical level.

"Why aren't you falling under the spell." she says more questioningly at Utau. "A--" she spits out. "You're one of them aren't you...!" she says accusingly.
Utau Hoshina has posed:
"what..?" She stares blankly at the girl as she starts muttering things that make no sense. Her eyes narrow suspiciously when she asks why she didn't fall under her spell, and Utau still has no idea what she's talking about.

"What manner of rubbish are you rambling on about, girl? And one of what, exactly?" Utau for the most part, doesnt seem the least bit afraid of the girl standing before her, nor does she feel threatenned. However, she is a little frustrated that she is wasting her time and possibly allowing her true target to flee before she can stop her.

And maybe she's just a bit more than curious.
Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana is also being loud, her general candor changes-- from quiet to almost half crazed within moments- her body language changes dramaticlly. "One of -them-." she says. "Like that /Sky Jack/ or that /Spark/." she says. She seems defensive and accusatory.

"I bet you have some words of wisdom for me don't you!? Well! I met someone- who said I shouldn't care what other people think!"

What the hell is this crazy girl rambling about?

"I'm going to take all the energy I want from someone here and you're not going to stop me!" she says pointedly.

Norie seems to think Utau is some sort of 'hero' who's here to 'stop her' in some manner, it seems. But for all Norie knows she's just looking crazy to a mundane.
Utau Hoshina has posed:
Utau arches a quizzical brow when she listens to Norie complaining about heroes. Her lip twitches at the mention of Sky Jack, although no, she's never heard of this Spark person. As for words of wisdom, she really has none - at least none that would sound heroic, and instead she just silently shakes her head.

"Oh...I get it. You think I'm some sort of hero, do you?" She smirks, almost laughs at that. "Please. I couldn't be further from the truth. I'm just a musical idol, trying to make a living. I don't really care about 'doing the right thing', or 'stopping evil people', honestly. That means nothing to me. Because to be fair, who am I, or anyone else, to judge your reasons for fighting your own battles?"

Of course now this is starting to sound like some sort of cheesy speech and so she decides to leave it at that. "But I am curious to know what it is you think I'm going to stop you from doing?"
Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana is in an accusatory stance---- when Utau says she isn't a hero- she seems to 'relax' for some definition of the word relax... she looks around as she seems to sort of 'snap back' into some form of reality- though she still looks dour and upset.

"Yes." she says. "How else did you resist my attempt to lure you somewhere so I could feed!?" she says just a little wide-eyed. It seems the sudden shock has been enough to make her a little crazed then the more relaxed girl she was when she approached.

"To--to feed. Ha...I need to feed on energy to survive." she admits finally. "I--I'm a vampire. So I need to do this. It's easier to do when.. when I'm in control then let myself get crazed-- or feral!" she says with a soft blink again-- then----

She pauses.

"So you're not actually going to stop me?...." she asks cautiously.
Utau Hoshina has posed:
Well, this gets more interesting by the minute. "A vampire, you say? How very interesting.." She muses, but oddly doesn't seem at all afraid about it. Perhaps Utau truly has seen too much and experienced too much to be afraid of something like this. Nor does she bother to mention her own magical aptitude. No need to go into all that.

"But no, it's not my place to judge you, even if you might be doing the wrong thing for the right reasons. Besides, I'm afraid I'm in a similar predicament."

But she's feeling generous, and maybe a little curious. It's not that Utau does not value her life, but moreso that she empathizes with a fello reluctant villain. She boldly takes a step closer to the girl, with a shrug.

Maybe this is a crazy idea, but again Utau understands what it's like to live such a questionable life and be judged by others. "At any rate, you'll die if you cant sustain yourself, so..Go for it. I dont care if you feed off of me, if just a little."
Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana frowns and squints. "You need to feed too?-- or are able to?" she asks. She leans forward. "A--are you like the man I met.. Riventon?" she asks softly. "He was very nice to me-- he talked to me! Everyone just-- attacks me-- and-- that hoverjerk..." she says. "-- said I /should ask/ first!" she says. "I'd /starve/ if I did that." she says.

"But he said---I shouldn't care what others think that-- if I'm powerful I don't need to!"

She sort of frowns. "But..." she says she just shakes her head. "Nevermind it isn't important!" she says. She doesn't smile all this time, the best she gets is.. 'pleasently neutral' at the best of everything she talks about.

"B--but if you're sure..." she says reaching out softly for Utau. "If you're not going to recoil..."

"This is going to sting..."

"It's unpleasent."

She flitters off in spanish as her hands touch softly against Utau's upper arms, near her shoulders. "Drenaje." she says. Not a Japanese word.. Spanish. Indeed, there's a soft purple glow, a painful sting--

There's still time for her to back off. At least Norie seems to be controlling it.. doesn't she?
Utau Hoshina has posed:
"Hmph. It's stupid to ask someone to take something they wont be willing to give freely, even if it's for a good reason." she laughs, shaking her head, "No, I'm no vampire. But let's just say I too, am forced to do the wrong thing for the right reason."

There's that name again - Riventon. She'd met him only briefly, when Eclipse was called to stop that book thief. Utau still needed to talk to him about what exactly that book was capable of - and if she could use it to free Ikuto and bring down Easter. But that's for another time, and she stores it away for later.

"Of course. I have no regrets. Take what you need. But I do ask, if I'm ever in a bind, that you will help me out someday too.."

And with that, there's no going back. Utau's never been one to shy from a challenge, even if it might seem uncertain, scary even. With a nod, she steps forward, allows the girl to touch her shoulders. At first she feels nothing and listens to the curious language. Then suddenly, a painful sting shoots through her body. Her eyes widen at the sudden shock, but she doesn't back down, knowing she had made a promise afterall.

Let's just hope she survives this..
Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana is taking what she wants--- but... she also takes only what she needs right now. It's rude, isn't it, to eat someone out of house and home-- she removes her hand soon after-= Utau should have more energy than she needs.. technically, as a magical girl. She lowers her hand.

"There." she says with a soft breath--- she seems to relax-- become less crazed-- "--al-almost feel normal." she says. No smile, but there's relief there.

"I only feel normal when I'm 'full'..." she says dourly. "It's horrible. I hate it." she says. "Having to feed-- to- to feel normal-- and even still I can't do the things I used to like."

Her speech is stilted, but it's not crazed or accusatory. It's just low. Like someone sad or depressed may sound.

"T--thank you! For that um!" she pauses.

"I am..."

She seems to be fighting with herself. Whenever she gives a name, this happens.

"L--Lacrima." she says shakingly. "That's.. the vampire.. I'm.. Norie Okana... the girl..." she mutters.

"Ah--sorry! About.. the misunderstanding."

She's not herself when she's hungry, apprently.

Too bad a snickers can't help.
Utau Hoshina has posed:
Utau is a magical girl, although currently unhenshined, she possesses less energy than she would if she had transformed. Still, Norie is considerate enough not to leave her unconscious or in a coma, but when she's had her fill, Utau still finds herself feeling considerably exhausted afterwards.

Well, tonight might not be a good night for hunting X-eggs, and she silently curses herself for allowing this to occur. However, Utau also could not forgive herself if she had judged someone for doing the wrong thing for the right reasons - which is exactly what she is doing.

Once Nori lets go, Utau stumbles a bit, grasping the nearby railing for support. Glancing back at the girl, she nods slowly, "Nori Okana-san. My name is Utau Hoshina. You might have heard of me." Hey, she's a famous idol afterall. "So, you're a psychic vampire then. But how did this happen? Have you always been this way?"
Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana sort of has to squint a bit.. "Utau Hoshina...oh...I..I think I used. To listen to your music." she pauses. "Yes--I did! I.. haven't had much intrest in it lately. I apologize." she says. She feels sad. Very sad suddenly and it shows. Maybe- eight months ago-- Norie would be squealing in delight, Utau Hoshina! But right now. Nothing. No feeling.

"You'll be okay." she assures. "I usually drain till they fall asleep. It's better that way. They don't remember much when they wake up. If they recover, you will too." she asides.

She frowns. "En--energy. Yes. Maybe that. I don't-- drink blood." she says. "That would be weird." Yes. /that/ would be weird.

"I--I don't really know. I know it was-- the necklace..." she says pointing to the one around her neck. "...but it's already done what it needed to, to me. Destroying it just destroys a useful tool to me." she says with a frown.

"I bought it in an antique shop. Because it looked pretty..." she mutters. "Stupid shop..."
Utau Hoshina has posed:
"Yes, that's me.." She frowns however, when Norie expresses a current disinterest in her music. "Oh? Why is that? Are you saying it's not as good as it used to be?" Well huh. She cant help but feel a bit insulted by that even.

It is perhaps fortunate that Utau didn't just pass out however, as she still has a job to do. And with Ikuto's condition currently so inexplicably precarious, she's been working harder than ever. There's no way she can stop now.

"I see.." She nods, peering curiously at the girl's necklace. "So, you're saying that necklace was once cursed, and it turned you into a vampire..But once the spell was cast, it couldn't be undone? That's troublesome.." Utau frowns again, feeling suddenly very helpless in this particular situation.

"Then, I guess you will just have to make the best with what you've got. And dont let others judge you or tell you what to do because of it, because they could never understand."
Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana listens. "No..I've been.. concerned with.. trying to keep normal and---"

"Lots of things... don't.. make me feel much of anything anymore." she admits softly. "So I don't know if it'd be good or bad. It's just... music to me." she silently admits.

"It's troubling. The closest I feel to happy is when I feel normal." she says. "But it's getting harder to keep that." she admits.

"--yeah. I don't. Really want to hurt people. But I need to. It's better that way if I can keep it painless and .. and make sure the people I'm draining can be found when I've put them to sleep." she says.

She blinks. "And you're right. No one understands. I've only-- met two people who have-- you-- apprently. And Riventon." she says.

"Riventon-- told me about a group.. that he said I'd fit in... have friends. I don't have many friends. I had to leave them all... and---"

"Oh---right--you..mentioned early..."

"I can do my best to help." she says.

She sighs.

"Um--! Right! Um."

"I--I should go. You're probably getting bored anyways. It was nice to meet you." she says. As best as a polite tone as she can muster-- like the tone was meant to be more chipper but doesn't reach even reach subtly enthused.
Utau Hoshina has posed:
"Normal, huh." she smirks, knowing she is herself, far from normal. But even so, Utau realizes the burden she bears is probably nothing compared to this girl's burden. And she doesnt even want to do it. "It's a tough thing to live with, but do what you can to survive, no matter what. And maybe, someday, you'll find a way to break the curse. Besides.."

Utau almost smiles, although she's never really been good with smiles, "Besides, it's not like the people you draw energy from will die if you are careful." she arches a brow at the name Riventon again. Hmm, she'll definitely have to meet him sometime.

"A group hmm? You mean Eclipse? Well.." Well, it's not one that Utau would suggest, as they mostly intentionally harm others to get what they want, but. "I couldn't really say. However, I wish you luck." And seeing the time herself, Utau realizes that she has some unfinished business to attend to herself, namely, her would be target who is still singing further up the tower.

"Well then, good night, Nori-san." And with a brief nod, Utau continues on her way.
