Synopsis: | After offering herself to Lacrima, Ayana is feeling terribly drained. |
Cast of Characters: | Ayana, Ikiko Hisakata |
- Ayana has posed:
Exhaustion is not an experience Ayana is used to, anymore. Certainly, when she was Riventon's familiar--when she did rely on energy draining and giving much of that energy to her master, Ayana knew this sensation. But it's not been a close companion for some time.
Not that she hasn't kept herself out too late, or overworked; this is a very different feeling. This is the bone-deep weariness of a kitsune that has given almost everything she has to another person.
It should feel good, given she allowed her own energy to be taken in place of someone less capable of making that choice with a clear mind. Unfortunately, it just feels exhausting, and frustrating.
As they slip back in through the window to their shared bedroom, Ayana rolls onto the bed, then stands immediately and stalks to the dresser, allowing Inariko's guise to fade away.
She never bothered putting real shoes on; this leaves the kitsune in just a pair of spandex shorts and a loose cotton tanktop. "She's dumb," she grumbles unhappily as she pulls out a drawer and starts tossing clothes aside as she searches for ... something.
- Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata had headed out for the patrol from their room, so she's already without shoes once she de-henshins. "I'm sure we'll eventually get through to her," she remarks to her girlfriend while flopping onto a bed. She rests for a bit before wriggling towards the nightstand. A small snack before cuddling would be a good idea; all she has to do is get over to the cache.
(Getting up would undoubtedly be faster, but she's tired, and what she really wants to do is snuggle and nap. And maybe not in that order.)
- Ayana has posed:
Ayana's ears flick back against her head, and she legitimately growls at the dresser as she digs through it, sending shirts and pants and unmentionables flying in all directions. "Where are my socks?" she asks the dresser unhappily. Nevermind she's tossed aside at least six pairs of socks that would fit her already.
"Here they are," she grumbles, pulling out a pair of ankle socks with padded puppy paw soles. Flopping down on the same bed as Ikiko, Ayana rolls back until she's leaning against her girlfriend, tails trapped between them, feet in the air so she can pull on her socks at what must surely be a ridiculously awkward angle.
She leaves the clothes strewn across the floor.
"I just don't understand why she'd refuse my help," Ayana grumbles. "She doesn't have a Master who will kill her for being our friend. I could teach her how to do this safely and in a way that no magical girl would be upset about! As is, they're probably going to try and beat her up. And you know she's not going to call me tomorrow."
- Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata leans over and kisses Ayana on the forehead. "Some people are just stubborn, beloved," she points out, skritching the kitsune between the ears. "So. How are we going to handle this? Step up patrols so we can find her again? Ask our friends if they've seen or heard her before?"
She does glance at the mess on the floor, but mostly ignores it -- it's not in the way for tonight, and cleaning it up would take effort. Effort better spent in snuggling the foxgirl.
- Ayana has posed:
"I don't know," Ayana admits, scrunching her toes in the socks. She rolls over, once she's done tugging them on, until she's on her hands and knees. "I wanted to punch her," she tells Ikiko grumpily. "I don't know how you did it; managed to stay calm and sane and loving through me being that kind of girl."
She sighs and crawls towards Ikiko, then flops down on the bed with one arm thrown over the younger girl's body. "I just ... wanted to help her. Why didn't she understand that?"
- Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
"I mostly didn't want to undercut what you were saying," Ikiko admits as she rubs Ayana's ears. "And... I think on some level she's already given up on herself. Like she's going 'woe is me' so she can feel self-pity instead of despair, instead of struggling to avoid either."
She snuggle close to her girlfriend. "Still, you should talk to Saito-senpai about it," she points out. "He might have advice and suggestions that could be relevant for this quirk of a situation."
- Ayana has posed:
Ayana leans heavily into those ear-scritches, clearly calmed by the effect. Soft, mumbling noises of happiness emerge from her mouth, despite the apparent grumpy attitude she's fallen into. Huddling up a little closer, she sighs and squeezes Ikiko gently.
"Yeah, maybe I should," the kitsune agrees after a few moments of thought. "But he's not Saito-senpai anymore," she points out. "He wanted me to call him Kunzite-senpai, remember?" The orange-haired girl wrinkles her nose, then admits, "That's a weird name."
- Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata nods and cuddles. "Still getting used to the name," she agrees. "It sounds sort of like some kind of rock!"
She nuzzles Ayana's neck, one arm around her while the other hand idly pets at the kitsune's tails. "Post-drain cuddles are good cuddles," Ikiko murmurs. "Maybe not the best of cuddles, but certainly the best thing to do after being drained, so they're good cuddles."
