Cast of Characters: | Hannah Sharpe, Sachiko Hayakawa, Reiko Touyama, Tadase Hotori, Momo Akatsuki, Greta Legend |
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Seishou Public. Not a place that Hannah has had much need to come to. She's in the far more upscale Infinity, with a place to live and everything. Those she knows from there? Well, she finds them in other places of the area, usually.
School's out, too. Yet, Miss White is at the playground of the school, leaning against a slide. She'd been casing the entire school for some time. It seemed a good pick: a public school, with a variety of young dreamers. She'd need to know the layout for when she went hunting for the Professor.
And dear /God/ does it make her feel like a creeper to think like that. She shudders, sighing.
Absently, Hannah holds out her hand and summons a ball of wind. She's quick to start drawing pictures in the sand, her Device feeding back information. An idle bit of busywork as she thinks, ruminates, and tries to banish herself of the growing guilt over what she knows to be something awful.
Anyone with the slightest bit of magical sense could feel the careful drawing. Or anyone with curiousity to see such a sight.
- Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
Sachiko has never really been on a playdate, before. But when her nanny needed to run errands, and Reiko agreed to chaperone one, she certainly latched onto the idea right away! Happily running towards the playground from the car that dropped her here, Sachiko is almost a boundless font of youthful energy. She's dressed ina pair of jean shorts over tights, and a white teeshirt with a pink cupcake on the chest, along with her usual black Heelys. As soon as she hits the concrete, Sachiko hops onto her wheels and starts to roll, calling out, "Momo-chan! Momo-chan! Are you here yet?"
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
There's the sound of feeting running. Hannah stops with her little bit of artwork, and she frowns immediately. That voice sounds young. Lines of magic flow from her Device, and confirms it. This girl shouldn't be here. But, she's exactly the age that Hannah's looking for. Her heart catches in her throat. Reaching into her barriet jacket, heart hammering, sweat on her brow, she downs a flask to cut off the edge of her fears.
"No mercy. No hesitation. This...it's all for the Professor. You owe this. It's not like you're killing the kid." She mutters to herself.
And then, experimentally, she snaps her fingers. An emerald-green Barrier forms around the playground and the nearby concrete, de-phasing reality as Device users are wont to do. Then, she's over to the kid, to see if she's still there.
Maybe she got lucky. Maybe this one has that spark. Hannah's there, in her suit, one arm clenching that spiked knuckle.
"Hey, kid. You don't know me, and this might sound strange. But...do you have a dream?" She asks, offering what she hopes is a disarming smile.
Of course, such a barrier isn't subtle. Those magically sensitive would pick up on it easily enough.
- Tadase Hotori has posed:
Tadase shouldn't be in the area today. It's, frankly, a coincidence that he is. He's looking for someone else, keeping an eye on someone who Tadase thinks might make a good future guardian. It's not Sachiko, though.
And then the barrier goes up. Hmmm. That's curious. A barrier doesn't mean evil - but it does mean a fight, and Tadase is headed for the center, transforming in the process.
It's pretty soon that, as Platinum Royale, he comes upon the two keepers. "Hey, Orange - do you know what's going on?" he asks, before his brow furrows at the very young Keeper Pink. He doesn't /say/ anything, though.
- Reiko Touyama has posed:
Prism Keeper Orange is walking Momo to a play date. She is, in fact, really happy to help- per usual! She's the cool not-big-sister afterall! She smiles down at Momo as she walks along. "Looking forward to this?" she asks softly down to Momo, while she looks up and around the area for a moment. Reiko stops however--- there's a subtle change. Some nearby kids dissapear. She knows this feeling it's a barrier.
She frowns down at Momo. She stops. "Momo... do you feel this and see it?" she asks the young girl. "This is called a 'Barrier'- it's something a kind of magical girl called a 'Mage' uses. It's meant to sort of phase us out- so they can do things without hurting the 'actual' world." she says.
"Something's happening." she says to herself with a sigh. "We better investigate!"
"So-- remember? Just follow me - but with 'Pink' instead of 'Orange', okay? Like last time." she smiles as best she can. Yeah she's worried.
She sighs and leans back up as she throws her hand up.
"Chroma Prism Orange, Transform!" she calls out- her Chroma Prism glowing that brilliant orange-- turn into her Chroma Wand-- a pretty dress forms around her- starting out as orange wisps-- tiny adorable koi tie a hairbow-- one becomes a clip against the bow!
"Come on--! Let's go, okay?" Orange asks back to who should hopefully be Prism Keeper Pink right now!
- Momo Akatsuki has posed:
Momo Akatsuki had been trailing along happily with Reiko, grasping the older girl's hand in her own. A brilliant smile was on her face as they made their way towards the play-date. She nodded vigorously at the question. "Super excited, Reiko-sempai!. That is, until something feels weird near her. She looks around and her eyes go wide.
She tilts her head at Reiko, blinking a little. "A berryer? Mage?". Momo had heard about mages on TV, but she suspected these weren't the same kind and she furrowed her brow as she tried to commit what Reiko was saying to memory. After a moment she nods and looks at it with determination.
"Okay, Reiko-sempai! Or... Orange-sempai!". She watches Reiko changes, her eyes wide as a different sort of excitement mixes in with the excitement she had left about her play-date. It could still happen, she just had to hope right?
"Chroma Prism Pink,Transform!" Pink light engulfs Momo momentarily and then she stands there in a pink dress, a bow with a camera-themed clip in her hair. She even does a little pose as she moves along beside Orange towards the barrier.
- Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
Sachiko puts her toes down and stumbles two steps to a stop. She's right in front of Hannah, confusedly staring at her. "D...dream?" she asks uncertainly, then her eyes widen as the barrier flares into being around them both.
Sachiko turns and regards the barrier, making a full circle as she tries to take it all in.
"What ... " she starts to ask, then turns back to Hannah. "Who are you? Why do you want to know about my dreams?"
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
The woman openly sighs, and waves her hand.
"Who I am isn't important. In fact, it's probably better that you don't know, kiddo. Trust me." A chuckle, and a shrug. She swears she hears footsteps off in the distance. Not good.
She leans back slightly, already reaching into her barrier jacket.
"No, it's just things will go better if you tell me what they are. Then again, given you're actually still walking around right now? Well. You've obviously got potential. And from the sounds of things, I don't have much in the way of time. So I'm going to cut to the chase."
The weapon she pulls from her barrier jacket is roughly the size of a rifle. The barrel is strangely star shaped, and overall it has a futuristic appearance: not unlike some sort of fanciful laser gun. Her motions are as in humanly fast as any magical girl's. Doubly so given it's /Hannah/.
She presses the tip right towards Sachiko's chest.
"Sorry kid. You were in the wrong place today. Crap luck you've got."
Part of Hannah's heart dies as she finds pulling the trigger to be far easier than perhaps she'd thought it'd be. The whine of negative energy can be heard within the barrier as Professor Tomoe's gun warms up.
And then, a blast of darkness, right at a poor kid.
"Nothing personal."
- Greta Legend has posed:
Shouldn't Greta Legend be somewhere else? Like over at Infinity? Well she would be, if she had not developed a massive amount of paranoia for the wellfare of Sachiko Hayakawa, attributed to the fact that she promised to protect the little girl ever since her big siser Anshi died, which is its own barrel of monkeys of an issue.
So she's jogging over to Seishou Public, humming and bouncing with a step, carrying a bento in hand, as she says, "Of course Sachiko's going to be fine! she's always fine, after all---" Then she senses MAGIC! Her intelligent device beeps out some numbers confirming it. Magic is a thing that's occuring, and Greta blinks a little, "What... No... What's going on...? No no no...! SACHIKO!"
She holds her device out and transorms, before bolting off into flight! Eye wide as she holds her device in axe form out, gritting her teeth, "Sachiko! I'm coming! It'll be okay Sachiko!" She is yelling as she zooms!" She's getting closer and closer, "Almost there! Sachiko where are you?!" She gets to the school and flies in!
*BANG*
Greta freezes up.
- Reiko Touyama has posed:
Prism Keeper Orange smiles at Tadase. "Hey! Yes!" she says. "Something's going on..." she pauses. "Oh um. This is. This is Prism Keeper Pink. She is Red's Sister, okay?" she says. "This is her second time helping out!" she smiles. "Pink, this is Platnium Royale, he's a friend! He'll help us out!"
She arrives on scene just to catch...
"Miss White!?" she spits out. She looks to Pink. and asides- "This isn't /our/ Miss White, but she's still not a great person----" then she pipes up. "What is she doing to Sachiko!?" she calls out.
"HEY I SEE YOU'RE PICKING ON EVEN YOUNGER KIDS NOW, YOU JERK!" she calls out. Yes. Orange is still carrying a torch for- 'that one time they beat Mei up'.
She raises her Chroma Wand and fires off a small swarm of vibrant orange koi that move to try to slam into Miss White. They are entirely too late to stop what just happened- but still!
- Tadase Hotori has posed:
Platinum Royale follows Prism Keeper Orange in, and he doesn't really even give Miss White time to explain herself. Considering the last time he saw her personally she was a raging sword-wielding fightbeast, her acting menacingly towards a young girl is about all he needs to see.
But what happens next actually puts pause to him, only for a moment, just because of the sheer calousness of what she does. But only for a moment.
"Holy Shot!" Platinum Royale calls out, a laser-like burst of positive (and kinetic) energy surging towards Miss White only a little after those fishies. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"
- Momo Akatsuki has posed:
Prism Keeper Pink 's eyes widen as she sees what's happening to Sachiko, the pink a minute rim around a large black pupil in her shock. She doesn't know who this Miss White is, or why she wants to hurt Sachiko but that is *Sachiko*. Nobody is supposed to her her best-friend, nobody ever.
With a narrowing of her eyes she raises her own Chroma Wand and levels it in a shaking little hand at Miss White. A pink camera manifests in front of it and with a *CLICK* a bright flash of pink light shoots forward.
- Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
Sachiko freezes up as Hannah draws the gun. Some small voice in the back of her mind is screaming at her to run. Run away. Run fast. Run far. That voice is not loud enough to overcome the sound of the little girl's own hearbeat ... nor the other small voice reminding her that this is certainly one way to get to see Anshi again.
As the tip of that gun is pressed to the little cupcake on Sachiko's chest, she has just enough time to look down at it in wonder.
And then it fires.
Sachiko stumbles backwards as the magical blast rips her dreams straight from her chest. The little egg that flies out is pristine black, but for a single white 'X' on one side.
Sachiko stumbles, she falls to her knees. Her arms are listless at her side as she stares at her own darkened dream egg, uncaring. "Useless," she mumbles quietly as that egg floats in the air before her.
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
That voice. It /COULDN'T/ be!?
Miss White squints, and turns. Yup. It is. She lets out a massive sigh, and smacks her head to the butt of the weapon.
"Oh you've got to be kidding me. Are you still going on about that? Seriously. If you want something to be angry about, focus on the here and how, Fish Girl!" Comes Hannah in turn, shaking her head.
And then there's a dozen orange koi sent after her, followed by a blast of positive energy only to then have the newest Prism Keeper uses the power of photography and pink!
Miss White doesn't move. She's fast enough to dodge, certainly. But she has something precious to protect after that shot. Her Device pings, a shield raises...and its master dismisses it. The attacks slam into her, she stumbles, gritting teeth and heels as she simply takes the attack on her back. The sheer force of both has her shoes digging into concrete, and when it ends?
Part of her barrier jacket is destroyed, leaving damaged, reddened back.
"Nnngh! Not bad. Not bad at all. What am I doing?"
She chuckles, bitter, and there's more than a small hint of guilty ice in her words.
"Let's just say sometimes you have to get your hands dirty to...ah, forget it. You guys know this kid? Anything I say is just an excuse at this point, right?" That gun is calmly slid into her jacket. Down Sachi goes, and then that egg appears.
No remorse. The hesitation wasn't the problem. Hannah clamps down hard on her feelings.
"...I'll make you proud." She mutters. Some of the others might just hear it.
A hand reaches out to grab the egg. Magic flares around the young woman, and an emerald green ward flits into place, reinforcing itself dozens of times over around that black egg. Time and space is once more put to odd dimensional stillness, a see-through emerald box. She flicks the thing, spinning it about on one finger.
"Now then. What are you guys going to do? Going to stop me? Or try to help your friend, huh?" Her eyes narrow in judgement at those gathered, even as she puts a single foot upon Sachiko's head, pushing it to the ground as gently as she can.
She's not /yet/ a complete monster.
- Greta Legend has posed:
"SAAAAAAAAAAAAAACHIIIIIIIIIIIKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"
That, is the battlecry of the Sunshine Spark, Gretta Legend, as she has finally entered the building, finally entered the area, and finally witnessed what's just occured. And the only thing she could think of is to just hurtle herself at the monster who did this, Intellegent Device in full Magic Axe Swing Mode, and screaming like a beserker!
- Reiko Touyama has posed:
Prism Keeper Orange twitches. "What!? Why are you stealing her heart's egg!?" she calls out. "Are you working for /those/ jerks too!?" arrrrrgghhhhh /cats and bussinessmen/.
"Sachiko!" she calls out. "Don't lis-listen to that!" she says. Yeah that isn't going to work. "Pink, call out! You need to call out to her, okay!? Please.." she says.
"That girl's sister died during Waplurgisnacht you jerk! Hasn't she gone through enough!? GIVE IT BACK!" she calls out.
She's gonna let Pink try to handle Sachiko-- as she levels her wand at White and just blasts a flurry of orange energy- threats be DAMNED!
- Tadase Hotori has posed:
Platinum Royale's heart sinks as he watches the X-egg erupt, and be sealed. And for a moment, a thought runs through his head. 'Maybe if I hadn't helped save her, I wouldn't be dealing with this right now.' But he shakes that sort of thought off quickly. Because that thought isn't very Virtue, at all.
"I think I can do both!" Platinum Royale says, as he moves up, trying to stop Hannah from going anywhere. Brandishing that scepter like a club - because it often is. "Do you even know what you're doing? What they're making you do? I thought you didn't work for scum like Easter." he says, pointing the scepter at her as if in judgement of her actions.
- Momo Akatsuki has posed:
Prism Keeper Pink started to cry the precious tears of rage of the truly young, and it almost seems like she might throw a temper tantrum. It wasn't so though, and all she did was focus the floating camera again, the lens on the front twisting around before *CLICK* after *CLICK* sounds off.
Pink wanted to run over to Sachiko, to do something but her breath caught when Orange tells her to call out and she does so, her voice filled with anger and sorrow, and a little bit of confusion. "Sachiko! Sachiko! You're supposed to have hope with me!".
Hope was Pink's answer to so many things. Her sister leaving, Sachiko's worries about her own sister which Pink still didn't know the futility of, her mother disappearing, her life getting harder, and anything else a little girl could find to worry about. Pink fought them off hope and she had thought Sachiko was doing it with her.
- Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
"Hope?" Sachiko asks, as she's crushed into the ground. She doesn't even bother trying to get out from under Hannah's bootheel. She doesn't attempt to get back up when Hannah takes that foot away. She just lets out a soft sigh. "There's no hope. An-chi's dead," she mumbles. "What's the point?"
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
When Greta charges? Hannah manages a smirk. It's a dark one.
She leans back, keeps that egg far away from the berserker woman, and raises a leg in a hard kick. A magically enhanced leg meets the other girl's axe, and magic wars with magic. Hannah is sent skidding backwards from the impact of the bodily charge, and she can't help but laugh.
"That's it! That's how you should react! I like your style! See? THIS is loyalty! YOU GET IT!" Her voice is slightly manic, but inordinately pleased. Her shielding shatters, and she's kicked aside, finally off of Sachiko.
She lands, the egg unharmed. She can still move. That's what matters. Already her body aches. No, Hannah's not fully recovered yet.
Orange and Platinum get a laugh.
"What, those guys? Heh. Sorry kids, can't spill the beans! Would be pretty bad for me, and a lot of other people I care about!" A shake of the head.
Reiko almost makes her pause. Teeth grit. "...That so? Then you don't have much time, do you? Stop wasting your time with me. Words are useless. Only strength matters if you want to change the world. If you really think all that? Well, just prove yourself stronger than me." She offers.
In comes that barrage of koi-energy! She leaps up high, dodging most of it, only for a stray blast to hit her already wounded leg from the clash with Greta. One eye closes in pain, it twitches, and then she's landing awkwardly.
"Damn. Should've stayed in the hospital a day or two more..." She mutters to herself.
And right about then, she eats a scepter straight to the face. WHACK! There's a sickening crunch from the impact, as Hannah leans her face into it, practically headbutting the thing out of the way. She has a /massive/ bruise thanks to the impact.
"You seem like a good kid, Platinum. So I'll give you a hint. I work for my own ambitions, the people I love, and the people I owe loyalty to. Call that an excuse, but..."
She concentrates, and leaps up into the sky, magic gathering into her legs. Then, she lashes out, a massive emerald green tornado kicked first at Platinum Royale, then picking up speed and rushing for the other magical girls that just attacked her!
"So don't bother blaming a corporation, show me that you're loyal to your friend here, show me your strength, and THAT YOU'RE NOT ALL TALK!"
- Reiko Touyama has posed:
Prism Keeper Orange just spits out. "You're wrong! Just trength can't get you everything!" she calls out. She knows this is true- she just can't prove it right now, she's just so /angry/. "I'm never going to forgive you for this!" she calls out. Wait, she forgave her in the first place!?
She fires off another array of koi- these hone in on White-- weaker- but more accurate shots in greater numbner.
"It's one thing to beat up people, but you're literaly /stealing someone's dreams, you jerk!/." she seethes.
"I THINK ALL THIS TALK ABOUT STRENGTH IS A COVER FOR YOUR OWN INSECURITIES!" she seethes more.
Yeah she's really really upset and making sweeping acustations.
- Tadase Hotori has posed:
Platinum Royale glares at her. "You talk an awful lot for someone who's so sure what she's doing is the best way." he says, coldly. "Like you might be trying to convince someone other than us." he says, nodding at Prism Keeper Orange.
"Royal Seal!" Platinum Royale calls out, as tendrils of golden energy erupt like a burst of shimmering ribbons from his scepter, aiming to bind Hannah's arm or legs in such a way as to prevent escape or combat.
"Drop the act and do what you know is right." he shouts as the attack surges towards her. Good is not always nice - even forgiving good.
- Momo Akatsuki has posed:
Prism Keeper Pink was oblivious to the rest of the fight, the pink energy that had manifested the camera fading away as she ran towards Sachiko. Tears glistened in the air as they fell in glittering drops from her eyes as a torrential flow of physical emotion. She dropped to her knees beside Sachiko and pulls her into her little lap.
"Th-that may be true...". The fact that it might nearly broke something in Pink, but the hope inside of her had been hardened from continued use and withstood the strike against it. "But you can have hope about other stuff... Magic is real... Maybe she can come back! Hope she can come back! Or hope that you can do something to make her proud! You just have to hope with me! We /pinkie-promised/!". With the mention of the promise she bent her body over Sachiko, trying to hug her tightly. "We pinkie-promised, so you have to...", she whispers.
She didn't know what exactly her friend had lost, but she knew she wasn't supposed to be like this. Something was wrong with her and she just had to make her remember, right? Right?!
- Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
"It's useless," Sachiko repeats quietly, as Prism Keeper Pink pulls her limp and mostly lifeless body into her lap. "I can't make her proud. I can't bring her back. Maybe a wish ... but what's the point?" she asks quietly. "There's no point. It's useless."
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Momo, it seems, is safe for the moment. Similarly, the victim is utterly left alone as Momo tends to her. But there's a trio of very annoyed magical girls to deal with right now.
She can't deal with quite that many koi, and thus like lots of suspiciously koi-shaped shuriken, she gets nice and peppered in the legs and arm. It helps when Platinum uses his scepter, and she's tied up at the legs too!
Her teeth grit, and her face flushes in anger. "Shut up! SHUT UP! You don't know anything about me! Either of you!" It seems the two hit one hell of a weak point on Hannah!
Concentrating, a sawblade of emerald wind slams into her own legs, cutting through the bindings. Freed, she leaps back, pocketing the x-egg! Ignoring the self-inflicted wound, she raises a hand.
A massive orb of wind magic forms, only for Hannah to give a hard kick to it. It shatters like glass, sending a spray of shards at Royale and Reiko, not unlike a massive shotgun blast.
"Walk away! No point in you guys getting hurt here."
- Momo Akatsuki has posed:
Prism Keeper Pink stared at her Sachiko laying in her lap, mouth slightly agape at what she was hearing. This wasn't something Momo was equipped to hear, and it was like throwing a wrench into a train engine. Uselessness and hopelessness were, so far, foreign words to Pink.
The engine started up again and she sighed softly, wrapping her arms tightly around Sachiko so that her mouth was close to her ear. "It's never useless. Everything is important.". After all, it's why she took pictures every moment was important.
- Reiko Touyama has posed:
Prism Keeper Orange frowns-- ugh, Momo.. and Sachiko. They need to get that egg back right now. "Pink... keep at it!" she calls out, as she snaps back to Miss White with a lock of utter anger and upsetness. "Actions speak louder than anything else, you jerk!" she seethes.
Wind magic rakes out at her. She tries to avoid it, but it's shotgun-like nature makes it difficult- at least one of those 'shards' catches her and sends her flying backwards and upwards a bit as she flutters those tiny fairy-like wings to resteady herself and stop herself from hitting dirt.
"Running is for jerks who are outnumbered! Like you!" she spits out, a little more raggedly than before.
She raises her Chroma Wand again- shooting another another few beams of color energy- simple attack to fire back quickly-- rather than more koi projectiles for the moment.
- Tadase Hotori has posed:
Platinum Royale sees those shards coming, and... well, Hannah Sharpe is still a very fast combatant, and before he can get Holy Crown up, those shards of wind are cutting into him. A chara transformation sure isn't a barrier jacket, and his ruffly outfit provides less damage mitigation than a lot of other henshins. So he just makes a pained, hissing sound. But he's not giving up.
"No strength gives you the right to tarnsish someone else's dreams!" he shouts, holding his body where there's scrapes and cuts. "Nothing you could want could make it okay to take an innocent young girl's dreams away from her for your own selfish desires. Nothing!" he shouts.
"Someone told me you were better than something like this, and I believed them. Are you going to make a liar of your friends?"
- Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
Poor Prism Keeper Pink. For all that her words are well-meaning and well intentioned, how do you get through to someone whose very inspiration for life has been stolen?
Sachiko lets out a soft whimper of sorrow, then turns to bury her face against Pink's stomach. "It's useless," she reiterates, "hopeless. I'll never see An-chi again. I'll never get to show her my dancing. She'll never see how pretty I could be. So why should I bother? Why bother with anything?"
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
It seems the energy blasts are slightly more effective: Hannah raises an arm, blocks it in a classic boxer's pose, but with only one arm it's not too useful. She gets shoved back, bits of barrier jacket fading. The young woman is looking tired, not yet at all recovered /and/ being pressed by multiple strong magical defenders all at once!
Orange gets a smirk. "Really? You're not looking much better than I am right now. Same with your royal friend."
But it's Platinum Royale that scores the greatest blow. Not through any attack, but through words. The growing guilt hits her like a truck, all of a sudden. She laughs. It's long, slow, bitter, and a little unhinged from damage, stress of the past few weeks, and pure self loathing that no amount of excuses can entirely wash away.
She turns away, and teleports, landing atop the nearby school building. She /looks' down upon the girls and boy gathered.
"Maybe you /were/ right. I really should drop an act. Let me pose a question to you."
She shakes her head, trying to look collected. Her lips mouth the words the Professor told her.
"If someone gave you everything, and they asked you to return that loyalty, would you do it? Even if it's something you yourself don't like? Even hate?"
- Tadase Hotori has posed:
Royale looks up at Hannah. It's obvious she'll get away soon, and he's not sure he can bear to see it. But instead of coming up to fight her with scepter and blast, he leans on his words, listening to what she says and responding.
"It's blind loyalty, blind devotion, an ability to ignore what you know is right in order to serve some purpose or calling - that attitude, the one you're holding up?" he says, and he lowers his scepter.
"That's the attitude that is responsible for some of the worst moments in human history. Those things you call out to - that loyalty you're so attached to? I'm sure you've already come up with some things that's caused, without me even needing to give examples."
"Don't turn your back on what I know your heart is saying. You have to know this is wrong. Just give the girl back her Heart's Egg."
"You want to think about loyalty? Don't betray the people who have faith in you. Don't betray yourself."
- Reiko Touyama has posed:
Prism Keeper Orange frowns and shoots Miss White a glare- a super hard glare, at that. She mulls this question. "I think I'd need to be true to myself- and tell them no dice!" she says with a huff. "--and let my friends know! Because I know they could help me!" she insists.
"And they wouldn't ask me to do something so horrible- /because they're my friends/." she calls out.
She actually doesn't fire more indignant blasts of energy, yet. She still sounds /horribly angry/.
- Momo Akatsuki has posed:
Prism Keeper Pink was oblivious to what Hannah was saying because her friend was right here, and something was wrong with her that Pink she just couldn't understand.
"Stop saying that, Sachiko....". She starts to sniffle, tears streaking down her face. "Don't ever ever ever ever give up hope, it's not useless. Try for me? Pretty please?". She strokes a small hand through Sachiko's hair as the other girl buried her face into her stomach.
- Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
Sachiko just shrugs and says nothing, out of arguments, for the moment. Instead, she quietly mumbles, "Whatever you say, Momo-chan. It doesn't matter." Nothing matters to the cinnamon-haired girl. Not anymore. Not with the full weight of Anshi's death weighing on her.
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Hannah, for once, gives the gathered magical heroes thought. She turns, 'looks' to the setting sun, and runs her hand through her hair silently. A deep breath. Torn between what she knows is right, guilt, and loyalty, it's a heavy burden weighing on her shoulders.
"I agree on that, at least. Yeah. I know. People have done horrible things for that kind of loyalty. But..."
Her teeth set, and then she turns around.
"That same kind of loyalty has changed the course of history, too. Giving everything you have for something you believe in, /for/ someone who's helped you. No. I don't have the right to refuse. That's completely impossible."
Her sightless eyes sweep the magical defenders gathered. Their spark seems to have dimmed just a bit, the young woman almost looking resigned.
"I never cared about 'right' or 'wrong' in the first place. They're useless in a world like this. Because unless you have enough power, there's nothing you can do to change it. I won't stand by and let those friends you're talking about suffer. I've done that already enough times. That's real loyalty. Even if I'm cursed and called a demon for it."
Hannah turns, and magic flares as she starts to teleport away. Her eyes are closed, and the last thing one can see?
The smallest tear, born of all of that frustration and /wrongness/ she's trying to argue away.
- Reiko Touyama has posed:
Prism Keeper Orange seethes some more. "You're wrong!" is all Prism Keeper Orange can say--- and when Hannah begins to run-- she takes one last glancing shot at her- because lord if she isn't getting one last hit in before she runs away.
"Dammit..." she mutters... "C-couldn't save this egg either..." she mutters--- remembering all too well when Utau got away with those eggs from Kukai- and how horrible she felt about this. Somehow, this one is super worse.
She races over to Pink however, almost immediatly after. "P-pink, is she okay!?" she calls out.
She looks over at Tadase. He'll be coming over here. Right? He knows way more about this stuff than she does.
- Tadase Hotori has posed:
Platinum Royale turns away from Hannah, now. He's said his peice, and she seems ready to set everything on fire to bask in the warmth of her twisted ambitions. No, there's another thing to worry about here. An innocent, a victim.
He walks over to Sachiko. "I'm sure there's something you can find within yourself that matters." he says, quietly. "You're going to be fine." he says, knowing he's telling a half truth. "You have the strength deep down to find something else to give your life meaning."
Then he kneels down to her level. "I'm sure the person you care so much about wouldn't want to see you sad, right? She wouldn't want you to give up."
- Momo Akatsuki has posed:
Prism Keeper Pink looked up at Orange, tears still streaming from eyes irritated to a bright pink as she tries to shake her head and shrug at the same time. She can't think of any words to say with her friend there with her and saying these things, and almost seems glad for the presence of Platinum Royale as he comes over and starts to speak to Sachiko. He's older, so he'll know what to do right? He seems to with what he's saying.
- Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
Sachiko clings even tighter to Prism Keeper Pink as the bigger kids start to crowd around. "She's dead," she says, voice muffled by Momo's stomach. "She's dead. There's no point to being a pretty dancer for her if she can't see me because she's dead."
"It's useless," she reiterates. "She can't want me happy anymore. She can't want me to not give up. Because she's dead. So it doesn't matter anymore. I should just let the vampire drain me to death. At least then I would help someone before I die. Maybe then I could see An-chi."
- Reiko Touyama has posed:
Prism Keeper Orange frowns and tugs at Pink and gives her a hug. "Don't worry... T--Platnium Royale will be able to help! He knows a lot about these things!" she says softly. "If anyone can help, it'll be him and--"
"Pink, you can't give up, okay? You need to be there for her. Right now. Until this gets better." she says. "I know this.. this isn't fair for you to deal with. So soon after---"
"All that happened recently." she says softly. "But I know you can do it... okay?" she says trying very very hard to instill something in Pink. Hope or determination!
- Greta Legend has posed:
"Sa-Sachi-ko..." Is the groan coming from the Sunshine Spark, after somewhere in the middle of it all she got smacked the hell away and sent flying more or less face first into a wall. Under normal circumstances, Magical Girls don't really feel that much damage from such things, but from Magical Girl to Magical Girl, that can be a bit painful.
So Greta finally pulls herself back up, and grits her teeth as she gets her senses back, "Where... Where did she go...?" And then her ferocity filling back up as she growls, "Where did she go?!" She growls and looks to the others and yells, "You let her get away?! HOW CAN YOU LET HER---" And then she sees the super-depressed Sachiko and goes wide eyed, dashing over, and without really caring about who's currently in the way, shoves them out of the way to get in close, "SACHIKO! Are you okay? Did she hurt you? Everything will be okay! I made a Bento for you, you know!" Her tone as much desperate and hopeful for the girl to be okay.
- Tadase Hotori has posed:
Platinum Royale puts a hand on Sachiko's shoulder. "She didn't fight so you could just give up. And you know that's true, too. I know you want to see An-chi, and I know you will again, someday." he says, smiling at the little girl.
"But just because she left you so soon doesn't mean you should leave all of your friends so soon, too. When you two meet again, don't you want to be able to show her how strong you were, the kind of things you learned from her?" he asks.
Then he looks to Greta. "She'd be sad if you gave up, wouldn't she?" he asks. "And she cares about you. So now it's time for you to look into yourself, and realize the strength you've always had. Not just for Anshi, but for yourself, too."
- Momo Akatsuki has posed:
Prism Keeper Pink 's heart stirs with Orange's words, the light of hope that was her own beacon in life flooding through her and damming the tears. She was pushed away by the older girl, her small pink-clothed body slipping away from Sachiko and a few feet away. She stands up and without even bothering to clean off her dress she stomps back over to Sachiko and pulling her back into her lap with a furious stare at Greta before looking back to Sachiko.
She leans her head close to Sachiko's and starts to whisper. "Don't give up, we have to stay strong together. Don't let the dark things inside get you, Sachiko. I'm here for you no matter what, forever and ever and ever because we're best-friends forever and best-friends are there for each other and you're not useless and and...". She seems at a lost for a moment, her eyes staring at the ground beside her lap as she's leaned close. Shortly, she resumes speaking. "I'll make sure you know that you're important forever and ever, and if I have to I'll get your thingie back that the mean girl took and I'll beat up anyone that hurts you.".
- Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
Shoving Prism Keeper Pink aside results in Sachiko hitting the ground, though not hard. "Bento?" she asks, then sighs. "Why bother eating?" she mumbles quietly. But soon, Momo is back, pulling Sachiko's head into her lap once more.
The cinnamon-haired girl's eyes fall on Momo's face listlessly as Pink speaks such a beautiful proclamation. For a moment, Sachiko says nothing. Then, with one hand, she reaches up to gently touch Momo on the cheek. Almost, almost, the little girl smiles. But then her hand falls away and she says, "You don't have to do that, Momo-chan. I'm not worth it. There's no use. An-chi's dead. So don't waste your time for me, because I'm not worth it."
- Greta Legend has posed:
Greta will probably apologise to Momo in a bit, once she's not quite so crazy concerned about the well being of the little girl, and shakes her head, "You've got to eat, Sachiko! I made it just for you!" Her eyes welling up with tears as she tries to keep the smile forced.
Hearing the line about Anshi freezes her up, and she slumps back and looks to the others, "She'll be back to normal, right? What do we have to do to make her better? How do we fix it?"
- Tadase Hotori has posed:
Platinum Royale shakes his head. "It's not a waste of time, if it's for you. Don't think that way. Look at all of these people who care about you." he says, gesturing to them with his hand. "If you were worthless, useless, there wouldn't be all of these people with love in their hearts gathered around you in your time of need."
"Even if you don't think you're worth something, clearly all of us do. And so, you're outvoted." he says, but there's only a half smile there.
- Momo Akatsuki has posed:
Prism Keeper Pink watches Sachiko's hand touch her face, almost smiling as she thinks it's working. When she realises it really isn't she scowls at Sachiko a little, and speaks in her absolute best big girl voice. "Don't you say that, Sachiko. You're worth all of it.".
She looks at the two older kids, her expression unreadable in this moment before she looks back at Sachiko. There's obvious hope when she looks at Sachiko, even if it's just in her pink eyes.
- Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
"Worth it?" Sachiko asks, looking from Momo to Tadase, then back. Then she sighs and rolls away from them all, burrying her nose against Momo's stomach again. "Go away and leave me alone," she says. "Momo-chan should go away, too. Leave me alone. An-chi's never coming back. What's the point? What's the point? She'll never see me dance. Never see me ice skate. Never see me be a good magical girl for her. It's hopeless."
- Greta Legend has posed:
It appears that trying to encourage Sachiko wasn't working, so now the Sunshine Spark sits herself up, rubbing her eyes dry, and repeats louder, looking to Tadase, "What did that girl do to Sachiko, and how do we undo it?" Her panic desperation now being substituted out for angry determination. "Whatever it is that girl did, we have to get her to change Sachiko back."
She stomps and growls, "WHAT do we have to do?"
- Tadase Hotori has posed:
Platinum Royale shakes his head. "But you don't know that for sure, do you?" he asks, tilting his head. "Just because you can't see her doesn't mean she isn't watching you right now." he says, and fully sits down next to her. No, he's not going away.
"Watching over you from afar, like a guardian spirit, and waiting to see what an amazing girl you become." he adds. "And I don't think you want her to watch you give up, do you?"
"Well, we can try to get the egg back. But I think... I think Sachiko can also recover from this by finding her dreams again. Maybe another one, but..."
- Momo Akatsuki has posed:
Momo Akatsuki held Sachiko tightly, sending the pink energy from her as she looks at Platinum Royale. After a moment or two, Momo speaks up, her voice hesitant. "Dr-dreams? Could I dream for her? Would that work?". She looks down at Sachiko, her eyes bright with the hope as she twines her fingers in her friend's cinnamon coloured hair.
- Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
"An-chi can't see me," Sachiko replies to Tadase defeatedly. "She doesn't love me anymore. She's gone to be Sky Jack-onii-san's guardian angel, and left Sachiko all alone." Now the tears are starting to form; Momo can feel the warmth of her sorrow as her tummy is wetted.
"Dream for me?" she asks, then shakes her head. "There's no point. No point to dreaming. My dreams can't ever come true. I wish I was dead."
- Greta Legend has posed:
Greta clenches her fist as she says, "Well if all we have to do is get the egg back, then I'm definitely going to get it back for Sachiko!" She pumps a fist. "Alright! All we have to do is find that girl and beat her into giving it back! You guys in---" She turns and blinks as she looks at Momo.
Blink.
Blink.
"WAAAAAAAA!!! I'M SORRY! I PUSHED YOU OVER WITHOUT THINKING!!" She just now realized what she had done, "I'M SO SORRY! How can I make up for it? I can make a bento! Does a bento sound good! Two bentos? A HUNDRED!" She's genuinely regretting her behavior earlier.
- Tadase Hotori has posed:
Platinum Royale starts to tell her no... but then, after a moment, he tries something different. "Why don't you tell me what you liked about Anshi, Sachiko?" he says, smiling. "You obviously loved her very much..."
"What were some of the things she did that made you smile? That made you know she cared?" he asks, trying to approach this problem from a different direction. "Tell me about what she meant to you."
- Momo Akatsuki has posed:
Momo Akatsuki shivered as she felt the warm tears seep into her clothes and turn cold, but she doesn't push Sashiko away. She continues running her hand through her friend's hair, comforting her with little touches when she felt words had failed her.
She looks at Greta and blinks for a moment. "Co-cou-could you promise to make Sachiko bento's forever and ever so she always has a nice bento?". Momo remembered the pitiful bentos her best-friend had come to school with in that moment and she thought she saw something happy-making she could try and bring into Sachiko's life.
- Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
"An-chi," Sachiko quietly intones. "She made sure I was safe. Gave me the best clothes and the best food. She made sure I was always happy," Sachiko explains. "Now she's gone. It's useless," she says, sniffling wetly against Momo's tummy. "Just leave me alone," she reiterates with a sigh.
- Greta Legend has posed:
"OF COURSE!" Greta frantically pulls a bento pack out of nowhere, and holds it out, "It's got a little bit of everything! Some veggies, some rice, a little bit of meat and fish! AND A TREAT!" She holds it out and presents it. It definitely is a nice looking bento, designed to appeal to a 7 year old.
- Tadase Hotori has posed:
Platinum Royale nods. "She sounds wonderful. And she cared enough to put all that effort into you. So you're not worthless. Anshi knew that. You have to carry on. For Anshi." he says, even though the girl's still resisting.
"I know it's hard. I've lost someone very near to me, too. I know it can be hard to carry on when the light of your world has gone out. But you have to carry thier light with you, and not let it fade out." he says.
"It's for Anshi sake that you have to keep going. That you have to smile again. That you have to dream again." he says. Though he's already thinking that this time, Easter's gone too far. And he'll make them pay.
- Momo Akatsuki has posed:
Momo Akatsuki tries to stir Sachiko to look at the bento. "Sachiko, look. That bento is awesome, isn't it? Maybe you can be happy with that good bento?". Children and their weird ability to think even the simplest things can make someone happy. She feels her shirt starting to stick to her tummy with Sachiko's tears. "I won't go away, never ever and I'll feed you bento and I'll brush your hair and and I'll do everything for you if I have to. Don't give up, Sachiko. Have hope with me.".
- Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
"Have hope?" Sachiko asks. She turns over at Momo's urging to face the bento, then sighs as she looks at the food arrayed. "I'm not hungry," she says quietly. "There's no point to eating. An-chi ..." she trails off softly, then sighs. "She'll never get to see me dance. " Nevertheless, the food does look good, so the little girl reaches up to touch one of the little carefully made fishies. This, she puts in her mouth and chews on slowly. "I miss An-chi."
