Fairies, Shugos and Mikos, oh my!

Synopsis:	Rena runs into Utau again and tensions rise after their last run-in and Utau's attempted kidnapping of Dabble. Fortunately, Hokuto is there to ease tensions. And cookies are offered!

Utau Hoshina has posed:
    It's a bright, sunny spring afternoon; Perfect day for window shopping! Of course, Utau is always in need of pretty costumes for her upcoming concerts, and there are some quaint stores along this particular street that have caught her eye.

    Iru flutters alongside her excitedly, zipping this way and that as she searches for something small enough for her. No doubt, she will have to look at dolls' fashions for something her size. Sadly, Eru has been hiding in her egg ever since she was returned to Utau, feeling a little blue after all that has happened recently.

Hokuto Minase has posed:
    Hokuto steps out of one of the shops, a little specialist retailer that handles model kits and other memorabilia. She's rather pleased with what she found, and the price she paid for it as well - the Bentenmaru will be a fun build, and she loved the series anyway.

She takes a look up and down the street, considering where to go next. It's fortunately not very cold out, so she's dressed rather casually. When she spots something fluttering about one girl's head, she focuses in on it - Is that a shikigami? Or some other sort of spirit?

Rena Sakai has posed:
Things have been mostly quiet for Rena of late. She has spent some time getting acquainted with Dabble and they have both come to an understanding or three. Namely about sleeping times and the like. The Fairy has finally gotten onto Earth time. Its something she's needed for quite a while.

Rena is on her way home from school. Dabble is flying along with her trying to take in all the archaic tech at least, Its archaic in her eyes. Quickly she makes her way down the street, looking at the various clothing and stuff. As much as she would love some new attire, she simply can't afford it right now.

As the two travel along, Dabble catches sight of someone familiar. Her eyes go large and quickly she flies behind Rena. "Rena!! Thats the girl from the show! The one who tried to give me to Craft!!!"

Utau Hoshina has posed:
    "Utau-chan! Let's check out dolls' stores! I wanna new outfit!" Iru makes faces as she checks out her reflection in the mirror, turning this way and that. "I know! How 'bout some sorta lacy black lolita dress? Yeaaah!" she grins wickedly, but freezes, when Hokuto spots her. "Gack!? That girl can see me!?"

    Utau arches a brow, pausing by the same store that Hokuto steps out of, peering at her curiously and shrugs, "Another Mahou girl, I suppose? Seems there are a lot of them lately.." She'd just leave it at that, except that it seems someone else has spotted her too, someone else who might see her as an enemy. Unfortunately, Utau hasn't spotted Rena and Dabble yet.

Hokuto Minase has posed:
    Hokuto blinks, pausing briefly, and turns her course towards the girl. She doesn't recognize her, which means Utau probably isn't a Minase, but there are other Onmyou families in Tokyo. She's even had a chance to meet one or two of them. It might be nice to meet and chat with someone new, so she heads over in that direction.

    Along the way, however, her attention is drawn to another shop. This one is showing clothing, and she's got her eye on a sweatshirt that is almost, but not quite, a perfect match for a certain television sci-fi series' uniform. "It'd need a slightly different collar... and the right decs... but I could do it," she tells herself, as she debates going in and buying it.

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena quickly picks up the pace. She is making sure that she is between Dabble and Utau as she moves closer. "You stay behind me, Dabble. I don't want anyone trying to send you back. You are safe with me okay."

There is an odd look in Rena's eyes. Its not common for her to show anger. She is usually very happy and very sweet. "Hiya! I didn't get a chance to thank you. You know, For trying to send a friend with that jerk Craft? You do realize that him and his friends enslaved Everyone on their planet right?"

Utau Hoshina has posed:
    Utau seems disinterested in Hokuto at the moment, however Iru seems interested in her attire and immediately buzzes over towards her, flailing to get her attention. "Hey hey! where can I get an outfit like that? I think I'd look soo cute with those gloves and belt!"

    Utau just sighs and rolls her eyes, about to continue on when she spots a familiar figure up ahead. Okay, she's only vaguely familiar, from a certain unfortunate and rather awkward incident but...Oh. Oh THAT one. ARgh...

    "Oh. Hi. You must be that girl from the play. With the fairy.." She doesn't seem as interested in capturing the fairy this time, however. A soft frown does mar her features however, when the girl 'thanks' her, clearly pulling some sort of sarcasm on her.

    "I'm not entirely sure what you're talking about." eyes narrow slightly, "Oh. That Craft guy, you mean?" she smirks, "Oh, I suppose you've come for vengeance, or something.." With a sigh, she peers around for her chara, "Iru!"

Hokuto Minase has posed:
Hokuto blinks, tearing her eyes away from the gold sweater, and peers up at Iru. "Hello there, small one." Pretty much has to be a shikigami, and probably a fairly well-established one, too, to have its own personality.

"They were custom made for me, sorry," she explains. "I don't know if the tailor who made them would be interested in doing such a small set... he can be a bit stuck up sometimes." Like most of the family. At least the man in question is from one of the branch families, not the main house.

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena Sakai frowns as Dabble flies up and lands on her shoulder. the young woman just looks at Utau for a moment. "No. I don't want vengence. I'm not here to fight. I do want you to know who you threw your lot in with. You seen what I am. There were more like me on Dabble's homeworld. Craft and the company he works for took over that planet. They basically enslaved the Sentinels on that planet. Dabble came here for help." She sighs.

She glances over and sees the girl chatting it up with Iru. "Another new Mahou?" She asks Utau quietly. Its not her place to give this new girl the shock and awe. Still she is willing to help though.

Utau Hoshina has posed:
    Utau relaxes, not really in for a fight herself. "Fine. I'm not here for a fight either, I was only following..Orders." Yes, orders. Clearly she's a member of Eclipse, although not necessarily an enthusiastic or willing one. Although she does arch a brow when the girl mentions how he enslaved the planet. So that's what that guy was up to. She sighs.

    "Really? That's what Craft is up to? Then..." She shakes her head. "I have no desire to come after you, or your friends. But if I'm ordered to again, then I guess I have no choice." She peers thoughtfully at Dabble and smirks, "So. You're not a Guardian Character then. Just a fairy..?"

    Iru pauses in her flitting, peering back at Utau and frowns, "Utau needs me!" she pouts, looking back at Hokuto, "But I want a cool badass outfit! Come and meet Utau-chan!" and she tugs at Hokuto's sleeve, "I'll bet your tailor can make her a cool outfit for her next performance too!"

    When she spies Rena and Dabble again, she grins wickedly, "Hah! You guys again! And that whimpy fairy! C'mon, Utau-chan! Let's transform and kick their butts this time!!" she starts punching and kicking the air, eager to kick some butt!

Hokuto Minase has posed:
Amused by the little chara's antics, Hokuto turns to follow where it leads. Which brings her up nearly to where Utau and Rena are talking before she pauses and blinks...

Is that really Utau Hoshina? Apparently it is.

"Wow. Famous singer and magical badass, all in one? Tell me, please, how you find the time for all that and school?"

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena frowns, "I hope it doesn't come to that Utau-san. I would rather not fight. His planet has been fully industrialized by one company and they are going to expand. I'm willing to bet they will come this way eventually." She sighs over that.

Dabble looks at Utau and shakes her head. She adjusts her hat and gives a smile, "I am not a guardian, I'm a fairy. We created the watches that allow Steam Sentinels to awaken. I was lucky and found Rena. She's the only one who the watch will work on.

Rena turns and looks at Hokuto and gives a little wave, "Hello! Nice to meet you. My name's Rena. I go to Seishou Middle School. How about you?"

Dabble looks at Iru and shakes her head, "Really?" Quickly she pulls out something and tosses it near the Guardian fairy. Suddenly there is smoke everywhere. "I ran across the universe to escape Red Tree. I'm not going to be captured now!"

Utau Hoshina has posed:
    Hokuto comes up with Iru and Utau peers at her blankly. Nope, doesn't recognize this one at all. Is she another potential enemy or a fan? But it seems likely she is the latter which causes Utau to relax somewhat, simply shrugging. "I suppose I just work hard. Dont have much time for school though, so I usually just get supplemental homeschooling during busy periods. And you are..?"

    Iru just grins, "This is my new friend! Err...I dunno her name yet! But she's got a badass tailor who made her clothes and accesories! I want a badass outfit too!"

    When Dabble tosses a smoke bomb at Iru, she squeaks and flails. "Heeey! Who turned out the lights!? Grr, no fair!!" But she can hear her voice and she snarls in the blinding cloud, "Waaah! I'm gonna get you for that, Fairy! Then we'll see who gets the last laugh! Utau, c'mon! Let's transform and kick her butt! Turn her over to Eclipse and we're sure to get generously rewarded!"

    Utau frowns softly at Dabble, reaching out to pull Iru out of the smoke bomb. She doesn't agree or berate her guardian chara however, but peers thoughtfully at Dabble and Rena, as if she might just be considering Iru's suggestion. "So. This fairy is of value to Craft, is she? What else can she do besides create magical girl watches?"

Hokuto Minase has posed:
Hokuto might well be a fan. Or maybe not. Sometimes she changes her mind. "Hokuto," she answers. "Hard work, eh? Uncle's Maxim? Well, it happens." And she is rather interestingly dressed, apparently.

The purple-haired girl smiles warmly and returns Rena's wave. "Hi! I'm Hokuto, I go to Verone, festering hole that it is." She's about to ask something else when Rena's little friend conjures a smoke-screen.

"What the... get control of your shikigami, girl! Do you let her run wild like this all the time?" Hokuto blinks and waves her hand, trying to clear the smoke. "Apparently, her farts don't stink," she answers Utau. "Fairy?"

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena does notice that look. She smirks a little, "Dabble's already done the main thing. She found the person who is destined the wear the Watch. I am sure she can do a lot more. And keep in mind, If you have any love for this planet you won't entertain the idea of turning her in to Craft. He is a lot of trouble and I can tell you right now what Wraithton seen when Craft reported his findings. A planet full of cheap labor and plenty of resources."

Dabble glares over the whole thing, "I'm not going to be captured and I am not a Shikigami! I'm a Fairy from the planet Gearwork. I came here to find help and save the planet. I didn't expect anyone to try to send me back unless they were working for Red Tree."

"She's her own being. I don't control her. I do help and protect her just as I protect this planet." Rena comments.

Utau Hoshina has posed:
    Utau nods to Hokuto, "I see. I suppose, having a utility belt like that would be a handy way to carry my chara eggs, but..." Not exactly her style, she prefers a bit more feminine victorian. Still..Something to look into.

    "Apparently, Dabble is a fairy. But Iru is a Guardian Chara, something entirely different. However.." She glances down at the shaking Iru who continues to glare at Dabble, listening to Rena's story about what happened to her sad little world. Certainly Utau would not want to support such an evil person like Craft, but she may have no choice.

    "Then for right now, my fight's not with you. This planet is in my best interests too." Utau looks back at Hokuto thoughtfully, "And yet, you seem to be able to see my Guardian Chara. Which means you must possess magical potential too." Hmm. Or she may possess a powerful heart's egg. But it would be unwise to attempt to draw out an X-egg from her right now.

Hokuto Minase has posed:
"Yeah, it comes in really handy when you've got to carry lots of stuff and get at it quick." She opens one pouch and pulls out a string of prayer-beads, for an example, then tucks the beads away again. "I can maybe ask about other people who do that kind of work, give you a referral."

"Fairy, guardian chara, shikigami. Right." She makes a mental note of the terms. "So, why does she think you're going to kidnap her and drag her off or something?"

She shrugs as she continues listening to the others. "Well, yeah, shikigami. Spirit animating an object. It's a thing." She waves a hand. As far as she's concerned, they're all the same thing, until and unless she gets some evidence of difference shoved in her face.

"I kinda like this planet too. I keep all my stuff here. I'd appreciate it not getting blown up or anything. As for magic... duh?"

Rena Sakai has posed:
Dabble flies over to Hokuto and hovers in front of her. "Because she's already tried." She puts her hands paws on her hips and gives a rather frowny face. "It was mean! I was lucky that I found Rena and she helped me!"

Rena frowns a little. "Well, thankfully its not just my enemies trying to destroy the world. I'd hate to corner that market ya know. Oh and umm, Dabble is definitely different. She's an alien." Turning to Utau she gives a little smile, "We're cool then. As long as we are all on the same side for the time being no one's got a reason to go crazy and start fighting." She pulls her backpack around and reaches in, "So, anyone want some cookies? Or cupcakes maybe? I made them this morning!"

Utau Hoshina has posed:
    Utau frowns softly as Dabble tells Hokuto what happened, but leaves out some details. "It's not exactly that simple. We were putting on a play, and Rena and I were both part of it. This man interrupted the play and started threatenning everyone. I only helped to search for the fairy so he would quit ruining the play. I had no idea he had plans to destroy the world."

    Of course, she does leave out some details, like how she's in fact working for Eclipse, which would kinda make her and Craft allies, even if it's not exactly what she wanted herself.

    She looks pointedly at Iru then as the little chara continues to glare at Dabble. "That's enough, Iru. Even if it might be what they order us to do, I cant be a part of destroying worlds."

    Iru just pouts, folding her arms as she flits over towards Hokuto, attempting to open the other pouches on her utility belt and see what else she can find there. "Ooh ooh! This is perfect for my egg! So cozy too!" she stares up at Hokuto again, curiously, "So how come you can see me?"

Hokuto Minase has posed:
Fortunately for Iru, Hokuto's belt pouches won't open for anyone but her. A little utility magic is useful that way. "Okay, so it was all a big misunderstanding, then?" She lets the bit about orders pass for now.

"I can see you because you're here. Why shouldn't I see you?" she asks of Iru. "And if you keep doing that, it'll shock you."

She looks back up to Rena and smiles softly. "What kind of cookies?"

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena smirks as she pulls out several bags. Each of them contain different kinds of cookies. "Oh I made Chocolate peanut butter chip, Chocolate chip and White chocolate macadamian nut cookies. I also have a few cupcakes and muffins!"

Dabble swoops down and snags a bag of chocolate peanut butter chip cookies. She gives a sharp look over at Iru before moving closer to her. "Would you like some?" She pulls one out and nibbles on it.

Utau Hoshina has posed:
    Iru shakes her head, "Most normal people cant see me! So are you a magical girl? A psychic? A priestess? Huh? Huh?" she whizzes around her, but doesn't see any guardian charas around her. So, she's not a Guardian then..

    Then Rena offers cookies, and Iru's eyes open greedily, following Dabble's lead. "Oooh ooh! COokies! And muffins! and cupcakes!" she tries to grab a little bit of everything, which is quite humourous given she's not much bigger than a cupcake herself! With her hands full, it's hard for her to stay afloat, and she starts to sink slowly towards the ground before Utau scoops her up.

    "Well, I really must get going. I suppose we will meet again, sometime.." Not even a smile or a wave. Utau just heads off and is soon followed by her bodyguards who accompany her to a big black limousine, which was apparently waiting for her all this time.

Hokuto Minase has posed:
Hokuto shrugs. "I'm just an ordinary little Hokuto," she tells Iru. "I see what I see." And she hasn't bothered calling out her Shikigami, or Iru might indeed have something to see.

She reaches over to take one of the cookies with peanut butter in, and murmurs a brief "thank you" to Rena before biting in. "Mmm, not bad."

And then she's waving as Utau hurries off to be picked up by a limo. "Oh. So that's how she does it."

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena pulls out some cookies and begins munching them. "Mmmmm I love cookies! I do this every morning so I can give some to people at school! It really helps to make new friends. Its tomething I enjoy doing." She smiles a little and gives a little wave to Utau. "I met her before and even rescued one of her Guardian Chara from drowning. That was before things changed. That night was just nuts. One of my best friends got turned into a monster."

Hokuto Minase has posed:
Hokuto makes a mental note of the car's license plates, then turns her attention back to Rena. "Well if they're normally this good, you must have lots of friends."

She listens to the tale with definite interest. "Hmm, that was well-done, then... I'm very sorry about your friend. Were you able to get help for them?"

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena Sakai smiles a little, "Most people are my friend. I don't like getting mad. With Utau-san there, I was really worried. I love to do this though. Its always nice to give stuff to people and especially when they get to try the stuff and they smile!"

"Oh yes. I was able to rescue my friend. I was really worried about her. I am glad I could help her. It was sad because of how it happened. This guy used her desire to fit in to make a monster out of her. It was really freaky."

Hokuto Minase has posed:
Hokuto takes another cookie and continues nibbling. "Having friends is always good. Except when they argue. That can get annoying." She grins again, disarmingly, to lessen the bite of the last bit.

"Good, good. I'm glad for you and your friend... Turning people into monsters never works out well."

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena Sakai smiles and nods, "I love my friends and would do anything to protect them." She beams. "And when they argue, You get the chance to help make things better!"

SHe sighs, "Well, Sometimes the means to help your friends comes with a very big cost. In my case I have the weight of more then just this world on my shoulders. But I know it will all work out.

Hokuto Minase has posed:
Hokuto nods, and lets out a soft little sigh. "Making things better is almost always worth it. If you can shoulder the cost... then you do it."

She reaches out and clasps Rena's shoulder briefly, giving the girl a warm squeeze. "If you ever need someone to talk with about it, or a shoulder to cry on, or whatever..."

Rena Sakai has posed:
Rena Sakai smiles, "You got it. Well, you can see Dabble so, I got the weight of Earth and the planet Gearwork on my shoulders. I just wish some of the fairies that came here would find some more Sentinels soon. It's really too much for one person.

She smiles to Hokuto and hugs her, "Thank you. I will remember that. I have a feeling I'll need help before this is over."

Hokuto Minase has posed:
"You'll find a way," Hokuto assures Rena. "Have faith in yourself, and in your friends, and keep on keeping on." She returns the hug, warm and pleasant.

Then she steps away again. "Thanks for the cookies, too," she adds, and offers you her card.

"I do hope you have a much better rest of the day."
