Cast of Characters: Norie Okana, Sora Hisakata

Norie Okana has posed:
Everytime, Everyday Lacrima had to feed, she felt something break inside. It was early morning, rather than the dead of night. The twilight of a rising sun was just barely visible, but it'd still be a good hour until it got light out. She'd left a small trail of five drained people in the mouth of alleys- easily found- not dead. Just very very drained. People working late, coming home from graveyard shifts--- no school meant she didn't have easy access to the student body to prey on during a school day.

Now there was a dour looking Lacrima sitting on a dumpster nearest her most recent victim. She wasn't particularly worried about being found. No one seemed to stop her anyways. At least they didn't fight her- after the fact- though they did try to stop her if they caught her.

Sitting on the dumpster put some sort of weird rememberance in her head- as she presses her teeth together a moment, pointed just a little as she sighhhhed.

"Maybe..." she says to herself. "...I need to make a choice." she mutters.

"At least this one'll be easier than some." she says as she crosses her arms again.

She's probably easy to sense or find for anyone with those abilities.
Sora Hisakata has posed:
Meanwhile Shiniko has been following a trail of drained people, curious about the source of this disturbance, and ready to exact her twisted idea of justice upon the responsible party. Only for her to come across Lacrima at the end of that trail.

"So you are the one who has been draining innocent people?" There's an obvious amount of contempt in her voice, she clearly doesn't approve of such acts. At least, not currently. "What am I going to do with someone committing such nasty deeds?"

Does she even remember running into Lacrima at the boat?
Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima softly glances toward's Shadow Witch Shiniko. She does, in fact, remember Shiniko from the boat- she had time to look around before anyone even approached her or she acted. She took in a lot of chaos at her own pace. Her purple eyes scan Shiniko, up and down.

"Are you going to fight me?" she asks curiously. "I'm not much of an opponent." she says.

She sort of arcs a brow. "Weren't you helping Riventon attack a boat full of supplies like I was?" she asks. "Or did you just happen upon it like I did?" she wonders.

"Sky Jack was fighting you. You seemed sad you hurt him." she says somewhat-- a little sympahtetically, though there's not much emotion to her voice.

She looks to the nearby man, just up the alley. "I need to feed to keep coherent. I eat energy...I am a vampire. Of sorts."

"...it took five this time. That's up from... three. Last week." she says with an almost annoyed tone. "I hope that isn't the new norm now. It's going to make things harder for me."

She looks back to Shiniko. "If you want to fight me. Go ahead. All it'll do is cause me to need to feed more to replace the energy. Otherwise... my name is----" she sort of seems to need to gather something like courage in the middle of the sentence. "Lacrima." she says.
Sora Hisakata has posed:
"I was there, yes. I promised Riventon I'd ward off anyone who'd interrupt, and I don't make empty promises." Shiniko admits and justifies her actions at the same time. She doesn't seem to make any overt attempts to attack either, merely hanging there in mid-air while surrounded by her shadows.

"I won't do anything to you today, as long as you follow my advice from here on, Lacrima." Shiniko promises, and the edge to her voice suggests that she means it. "It may be necessary for you to drain people, but surely you can choose who to drain?" She asks, and then doesn't proceed to give the advice, not yet.
Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima listens. "Riventon-san made me an offer to join him. I'm thinking on it." she says. She crosses her arms. She listens to what Shiniko goes on about.

"I've heard this spiel before I think." she says. "From Sky Jack. Or rather. The boy who is Sky Jack." she says. "'Why don't I just drain bad people'." she raises a finger politely. "Am I right?" she asks curiously.

"I don't have the luxury to pick and choose- and honestly, Riventon says I shouldn't care what other people think." she says. "I'm starting to think that may be better for me in the long run."
Sora Hisakata has posed:
"You just have to expand your definition of bad people. Sky Jack's is ridiculously narrow." Shiniko doesn't deny that was what she was going for, but does seem to have gone into this debate before. "Cheating spouses, thieving children, gangsters, and those people who are knowingly upholding the corrupt system we have. Cops, politicians, judges, lawyers, bureaucrats. There's plenty bad people to target~" Well that's a cynical view of reality...

"You just need to check first, there's no need to go after the /worst/ people, as long as they're bad, they're fair game. It's what I do. Over half of the people in this city are bad." Shiniko shrugs, and leans back, "And if you keep draining good people I'll make it so you can't drain anyone anymore at all." Her eyes gleam red, and shadows in the area coalesce into vile looking clawed hands, while in front of her shadows coalesce into a cold, cold, flame; sucking the warmth out of the area. "I'm pretty sure Riventon-san is bad people, of course he doesn't like the idea of targeting bad people."
Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima frowns. "I don't have the luxury. I have.. a few days, in between feeding at best." she says. "To-- do 'research'." she says exasperatedly. "- and It's not like I can see peoples thoughts or moral aura or whatever." she says as she leans her head back.

She leans forward. "You can hinder my ability to drain." she says. "Then you'll have a feral beast to deal with until someone force feeds me." she says. "I almost killed people when I refused to feed at first. I don't remember any of those moments, except when I 'came too', I'd hurt people I've cared about." she frowns.

"If it was up to me, I'd rather not feed. I'd like to be normal again. Being this isn't my choice." she says as she places her hands against the dumpster. She traces a finger against the grime on it and frowns.

"Something about this feels familar but I can't place it." she says.
Sora Hisakata has posed:
"Let me be clear then." Shiniko's clawed shadowy hands start to approach Lacrima while the ball of fire grows. "If I catch you drain innocent people again, I will stop you from draining anyone else. Period." She giggles lightly, "Because silly goose, I will kill you~"
Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima sighs and leans her head back. "Please understand that I take your threat seriously." she says matter of factly. "But you're more likely to just hurt me a whole lot and send me somewhere unpleasent for a bit I'd rather not go- because of what the place does to me over an extended period." she says. "Unless that'd suffice for you?". She does however, slide back on the dumpster, putting some distance between her and the witch.

"That weird place we went when Riventon teleported us away." she says. "Unless you closed your eyes. It's okay. I closed my eyes the first few times too." she admits.

"I'm confused however." she says.

"You were helping Riventon, yes? You attacked a ship on a humanitarium cause. yes?" she asks. "I had a talk with that unicorn girl that approached me on the ship. She talked to me a little about it."

"Is it really just the promise you made him? Or did you get something out of it too?"
Sora Hisakata has posed:
"Then I'll just have to find a way to kill you~" Shiniko giggles, a creepy high pitched giggle, but at that point she seems content to let the matter rest for the time being. It's clear to her that they both know where they stand on the topic.

"I made the promise as part of a deal. I got nothing directly out of that, but he owes me a specific favour in return~" Shiniko clarifies why she was there, seeming to think nothing else of it, "I don't do anything for free, why would I?"
Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima just frowns. Well. Frowning more than usual. She gives Shiniko an off-look at that giggle and the tone. Something about this tone is familar. Then it hits her this may be what she sounds like when she goes off on one of her incoherent uncontrolled laughs- with the weird laughing.

"If this is something you're willing to do again..." she says. "How long do you think before you're where I am?" she asks. "Some hero breathing down your neck threating to tie you to a stake and light you on fire?" she asks.

"I don't have a choice in what I need to do. I guess this gets me sympathy. I hate it. It's patronizing. But you seem to make the choice." she says. "To be like that."

"I need to speak to Riventon-san again. If he can offer what it is I want-- better understanding of what I am and my power..." she offers. "I think it's an even trade to help him in turn. But there's a foxgirl who's also offered to teach me things. But I've only met her once. I'm not sure if I trust her yet." she says dubiously.
Sora Hisakata has posed:
"I won't be, because I am stronger than my power~" Shiniko giggles once again, though the arrogance in that statement and the implied sense of superiority might not go over well. After all, she pretty much said that Lacrima is not with that little statement.

The mention of a fox girl causes those red eyes to narrow, and the flame to burn darker. "The only fox girl I know can't be trusted. A trickster and a thief." Shiniko says in a tone that suggests she loathes that fox girl. "Trusting her will bring nothing but pain and misery."
Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima frowns, but doesn't seem to comment on it- because it's a sad truth Lacrima knows- that at the moment, she's at the mercy of her power. She has to feed it, or it takes control- and it does it consistently when she doesn't want it too. Lacrima might not fight honest or true statements, just meet it with quietness.

She does purse her lips about the foxgirl. "A trickster..?" she asks. She frowns in a more upset manner. "I hope that's not what she was trying to do to me. She made overtures about draining people in a manner that isn't... what I'm doing currently, and more subtle. If she's lying then..."

"Then what's the point!? I'd better off with Riventon-san then." she says softly.

"Do you know anything else about your foxgirl? I don't see many foxgirls, but this one and yours may not be one and the same." she admits.

"Unless you're making a blanket statement about foxgirls." she says.

"Is it?" she asks.
Sora Hisakata has posed:
"She claims to have been given some kind of special exception by Inari." Shiniko says, her tone filled with distaste. Apparently this alleged claim upsets her. "I expect all fox girls are the same, there's a reason the stories call them tricksters, but I only know the one."

"Riventon-san seems honest at least, though I doubt he'd be a good influence. I'd say give the fox girl the chance to prove herself trustworthy, if it's the same fox girl I promised her that chance." She sounds like she doesn't believe that this fox girl will prove it, "Just keep in mind what she is."
Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima listens. "Wouldn't that be important then?" she asks. She scoffs. "And if there's /gods/ I have a beef with them. Where were they when I bought that necklace that did.. this to me, to stop it!?" she asks.

"Apprently, they're all too busy helping /foxes/." she says. The look on her face suggests she doesn't find this funny and more potentially infuriating.

She continues to frown at this fact for a bit with her arms crossed--- then suddenly looks down and awkward in a 'Did I really just say all that?' manner.

"Regardless, if you think I should give her a chance. I will. I will still need to speak to Riventon-san regardless." she asks. "I have questions of a more personal nature for him." she admits.
Sora Hisakata has posed:
"It's important if it's true." Shiniko answers, and lets the whole tirade after it fall by her side, she doesn't really seem to think much of gods; regardless of Lacrima's own complaints. "She might have a way, I doubt it, but it's worth given it a chance. Right?" She shrugs, "And talk to him if you must, I don't trust him but he seems... educational." And with that, she starts to cloud herself in shadows, and the area as a whole grows dark with shadow.
Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima merely watches--- then she lets herself sink into shadows herself-- off into the dusk zone- someplace anywhere but here for now.

She has more to think on, perhaps.
