Synopsis: Now that she's recovering from the nightmare of losing her Heart's Egg, Sachiko realises that Sayaka offered to answer her questions about Anshi and being a Puella. She calls her over, and the information Sayaka reveals is a terrible burden for seven year olds to bear.
Cast of Characters: Sachiko Hayakawa, Sayaka Miki, Momo Akatsuki, Reiko Touyama

Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
It's been two days since the Nightmare attempted to prey on Sachiko's fears. Two days of recovery, and Sachiko has already been in a much better mental place. She's been much more willing to play and have fun with Momo, and there hasn't been a single mention of hopelessness. She's even talking about dancing for Anshi again, even if she knows Anshi will never get to see it.

Come saturday morning, though, she finds a little slip of paper with a phone number on it. Still dressed for bed, Sachiko picks up her cell phone and makes a call. The discussion is brief, but she winds up giving Sayaka the address to the large estate in Juuban, then hangs up and rushes to get dressed.

By the time Sayaka arrives, Sachiko has put on a fanciful brown dress with ribbons everywhere and four layers of petticoats. She opens the door herself, although there is a well-dressed woman watching curiously as Sachiko opens the door.
Sayaka Miki has posed:
To be honest, Sayaka wasn't expecting to hear back from the sad little girl. Afterall, she had given her some frightenning revelations about what it means to be a Puella Magi; Enough perhaps, to scare most people away. However, she's always happy to help Sachiko out - afterall, she seemed so young, and vulnerable. And she still didn't know the truth about her beloved big sister. Sayaka at least owed her that much.

She arrives some time later after receiving a call from Sachiko, and finds herself standing at the front door of a beautiful Victorian house, waiting for her to answer. Looking around, she's quite impressed with the place, wondering what sort of parents the girl has, and remembering the nice car that chauffered her and her friend to and from the arcade the other day.

But of course, her parents are pretty wealthy, so she's pretty used to fancy places like this. Sachiko doesnt take long to answer the door, and she smiles and nods to the girl, noting another pretty dress that she's wearing. "Hello Sachiko-chan! How nice to see you again? How have you been?"
Momo Akatsuki has posed:
Where Sachiko is, it isn't inaccurate to say Momo isn't far away. She steps around the corner in an equally fanciful dress, although in a pastel pink shade with garishly brighter pink ribbons all about it. Including a massive one on the back. Clearly Sachiko has been spoiling her friend with her adopted father's money.

She hovered behind Sachiko's shoulder like a doting little pink bee, looking at Sayaka with wide-eyes. She wasn't quite worried about her scaring Sachiko anymore, since the girl wasn't extremely on the dark side at the moment. Plus, she was here and she'd comfort Sachiko if she had to.
Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
"Sayaka-senpai," Sachiko says as she steps back, beckoning the bluenette into the room. "I'm doing a lot better. Momo-chan and Sky Jack-san-onii-chan and Reiko-chan and Unicorn-chan got to watch me dance in a dream, and now I know that even if An-chi doesn't get to watch me dance, she'll still want me to be a good dancer."

The little girl forgets to close the door as she grabs Sayaka's hand and starts dragging her towards a spiral staircase. "C'mon, let's go to my room," she says.

The well dressed lady watching from the corner quietly steps up behind Sachiko to close the door for her, but she doesn't make any move to interrupt.

"Come on, Momo-chan, let's go tell Sayaka-senpai about what happened. And maybe then she can tell me about An-chi."

It's not one flight of stairs but two that Sachiko drags Sayaka up. But soon they reach a pair of wide double doors that lead into a large room obviously meant for a child. There's a large queen-sized bed with four posts and silk curtains--a princess bed!--a dirty, dingy teddybear on the floor, and a few children's books in a bookshelf. Not nearly enough toys, though. And of course, lying at the foot of the bed, is Kyubey, watching as the girls enter. "Hello, Sayaka Miki," it says.
Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka smiles as Momo arrives a moment later, admiring her dress as well even though Sayaka's pretty tomboyish herself and has never dreamed of dressing up so fancifully. "Good afternoon, Momo-chan! I see you're taking good care of your dear friend again. I'm glad to see that."

She pauses, listenning to Sachiko explain recent events, nodding slowly as she follows the two girls upstairs to their bedroom. "Wow! A dream dance?" Sayaka chuckles, having never experienced something like that that others could see. "That sounds fantastical, but I'm glad it helped you deal with some of your issues!"

As they arrive in her room and Sachiko asks her to tell her more about Anshi, Sayaka pauses a bit, and frowns even, as she sees that Kyubey is here. Again. "Kyubey. Then I guess this girl must have a lot of potential if you have been following her for a while.." Or maybe he's not getting as many pickings, now that Madoka is capable of healing witches.

"Well Sachiko-chan, maybe we can start with you telling me what exactly happened." With any luck, she will forget to ask about Anshi after that point.
Momo Akatsuki has posed:
Momo went and sprang onto the bed, wriggling around to get into a sufficient position to watch Sayaka and Sachiko talk. She wanted to give Sachiko her own chance to tell the story, and it would be nice to hear how everything offucred from Sachiko's own point of view.
Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
Sachiko hops over to her bed and picks up Kyubey, dangling him from her arms in front of her. She sits down on the ground facing Momo and Sayaka both, then explains, "Well, I don't really know what happened." She frowns, then continues, "I think it was a nightmare. I was having a nightmare of being in this house, and Kimura-sama came into the room with a big scary knife. Except then ... then his hair turned blue and his eyes scary red. And then we were on the balcony."

She shivers a little, clutching Kyubey close. "And then Momo-chan and Sky Jack-onii-chan were there yelling at me to believe. But then the not-Kimura-sama picked me up by the hair," she reaches up to touch her head and grimaces. "It hurt a lot. And then I realised I had a ponytail, which I almost never have, and I was apparently in my dancing leotard and a tutu. He threatened to drop me and then he did drop me, but Momo-chan caught me, and then she and the others beat up the not-Kimura-sama. And then the Unicorn asked me if I like to dance. I explained that I wanted to dance for An-chi, but then she made this big stage and everyone wnated me to dance, so I did dance for them, and I managed a real pirouette!"
Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka sits on the edge of the bed, ignoring how 'cute' Kyubey looks, dangling in the girl's arms. Looks like he's become her new little 'pet', but she cant really judge the girl..She's clearly sad and Kyubey might be the answer she's looking for - if she's willing to pay the price.

"Wow.." Her eyes widen at the story. "That sounds pretty scary!" but Sayaka relaxes as she hears the end of the story. "But I'm glad everything turned out alright in the end. so I guess it was some kind of enchanted nightmare or something..Cant say I've ever heard of something like that before, though."

Sayaka smiles, "So you used to dance before?"
Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
"It was really scary," Sachiko says, voice a little whiney as she looks up at the two girls on the bed. "But Momo-chan saved me. I knew she would, but it was still really scary until she did," she admits quietly.

"Anyways, I started learning to dance after ..." she trails off, then frowns. "After ... after Walpurgy-not." She sniffs a little, then straightens her back, building courage. "After An-chi ..." she whispers the last word, so quiet it can't quite be heard. But it's pretty clear she said 'died'.

"I thought if I danced really pretty, and got really good, An-chi could come see me dance," Sachiko says softly. "I thought if she came and saw me dancing so pretty, she'd be proud of me, and know that she didn't have to protect me anymore, and that I understood she has to protect everybody. But then ... then I found out she died. She died by drowning? That sounds so scary. But why didn't she swim back to beach?"
Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka nods again, "Yeah, I'll bet it was! It's good that Momo was there to help you out!" she looks at Momo and smiles, "Wow, that was really brave of you, Momo-chan!"

Then she speaks of Walpurgisnacht, an even that is burned into Sayaka's memory, even brighter than before after she regained her memories. Now it felt as if it had just happened yesterday. Fortunately, with her memories in place now, Sayaka feels like a battle-hardenned Puella Magi, who has been battling youma for almost a year now. "Yes, that was a particularly dark moment, but..." She arches a brow, and cant help it. "Woah, wait? They claim she died by drowning? But that's....Not what happened at all.."

    Whoops.
Momo Akatsuki has posed:
Momo smiles at Sayaka, nodding. "I'd do anything for Sachiko.". She glanced over at the cinnamon haired girl and smiled, turning to look at both of them against.

She adjusts her dress and wriggles to get more comfortable on the bed, her eyes growing wide at what Sayaka had just said.
Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
Sachiko smiles at Momo's answer, a little embarassed by it, but also very pleased to have such a good friend. She almost--almost--manages to miss what Sayaka says, as a result of her attention.

But then it hits her, and she nearly strangles poor Kyubey as she squeezes him. Green eyes turn to focus on Sayaka, wide with uncertainty. "W...well," she mumbles, "that's what Sky Jack-onii-san says," she mumbles. "No one else would even tell me An-chi died. Didn't she drown?" Beat. Then excitement as she suddenly bounds to her feet and rushes forward to the bed, leaning forward to stare at Sayaka well within the bluenette's personal space. "Is An-chi alive!?" she asks, so hopeful.
Sayaka Miki has posed:
Well, dammit. Looks like she said too much, and Sayaka suddenly finds herself in a rather..Awkward predicament. She sighs, hanging her head. "No..She's not. I watched her die with my own two eyes. I suppose no one else but a handful of actually saw her die, simply because it was a chaotic situation when we were battling Walpurgisnacht, and all. I mean, there was a massive storm and a big body of water we had to cross to reach the witch, but.."

Sayaka bites her lip, hesitant to go on it seems. The girl is still in a fragile state, although she does seem better than the last time they met. But if she knew the truth about what really happened to Anshi-chan, would it push her over the edge? Even so, surely she has the right to know, especially if she decided to become a Puella Magi herself.

"Sachiko-chan...Are you really wanting to hear this right now? I didnt want to come here to upset you, but I'm sure you want to know what really happened. I can't guarantee you'll like it, but you have the right to know I suppose. However, not knowing the details is probably something that some people could live with, and knowing the truth might make things worse. Really, it's your choice, just make sure you're prepared for the answer.."
Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
From embrassment to fear to excitement back to disappointment. Sachiko's emotions are a rollercoaster of uncertainty. Dropping Kyubey to the ground, she climbs up onto the bed, forcing her way into Sayaka's lap. "But Sky Jack-onii-chan said she died in the ocean," she whimpers, "and now you're saying she didn't die there, but she's still dead?" How can a seven year old be ready for this? There's no possible way. "What happened to An-chi, Onee-chan?"
Sayaka Miki has posed:
"Huh?" she blinks as the little girl climbs into her lap. Clearly she wanted to be comforted. More than that, she just wanted to know the truth. But can she handle the truth? Can she!?!?! Sayaka sighs, shifting a little to let the girl nestle in her lap, stroking her cinnamon hair gently as she tries to comfort her.

"Sachiko-chan, I'm really sorry about your sister." She draws a deep breath, feeling her strong resolve weakenning further when the girl calls her onee-chan...Dammit! She's doing this deliberately, isnt she!? Sayaka takes another deep breath, her pulse racing. She REALLY doesn't want to disappoint this girl, doesnt want to break her heart. But she's pretty sure the moment of truth is exactly what Kyubey is waiting for.

Ugh, curse him! Curse everything! Dammit, she HAS to know!! Alright then...

"Okay, Sachi-chan..I will tell you everything I know.." Sayaka feels her pulse increasing, uncertain of the outcome of this conversation. To calm herself, she continues to stroke the girl's cinnamon hair, and continues to tell herself that this is right, that she deserves to know the truth.

"Anshi-chan...was a brave girl. We teamed up a bit, in the fight against Walpurgisnacht..And we won. Sure, there were casualties, but Anshi-chan was strong, and she survived. Against that witch. But..But there was another battle and....She didnt survive that battle. But more specifically, she......." Ugh, this hurts too much! "She.....Became a witch, as she gave into grief and despair, following the loss of loved ones after the chaos of Walpurgisnacht. We......Ah....We had no choice.." She licks her dry lips, still stroking the girl's hair although Sayaka has tensed up quite a bit by this time.

"Once she gave into her grief, she transformed into a mindless monster. A witch, that is. We....Had to defeat her.."
Momo Akatsuki has posed:
Momo's eyes narrowed at the remark of having to defeat her. She wasn't entirely familiar with the way that area of the magical world worked, but she had one exceptionally important question. "Couldn't you have fixed her?".

Little girls are of course going to be certain that through magic, any thing can be solved. Momo may actually be living the magic life, but she's still somewhat firm in this lone belief. She eyes Sayaka with wide-pink eyes, curiosity brimming in their depths.

With Momo's interest comes the appearance of a floating pink camera, no extensive lens on it but what it does have focused entirely on Sayaka and quite apparent in the air.
Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
Those big green eyes continue to stare up at Sayaka, though Sachiko does seem somewhat comforted by the hand petting her hair. Still she worries, still she frets, as Sayaka tells the story. "An-chi was brave," she parrots quietly.

"An-chi became a witch?" She doesn't quite seem to understand what that means. "A monster?" Now she's got tears forming in her eyes, and her lips are quivering with uncertainty. "Do all magical girls become monsters when they get sad?" She understood those words: 'grief' and 'despair'. "Is that gonna happen to Momo-chan? To you?"
Sayaka Miki has posed:
What's this? suddenly all cameras are focused on Sayaka! She blinks at the cameras, looks back at Momo, then back at the cameras. "what..? What's this all about? Is this live or something?" Oh no, this cant be...What the heck is going on!?

But right now, she has bigger worries, specifically Sachiko's state of mind after she told her this. "As far as I know, only Puella Magi become witches once their grief and despair outweight their hope and their dreams." looking back at Momo, she shakes her head sadly, "At the time, no one was able to 'cure' a witch. Technicaly, a witch is just the corrupted portion of a Puella Magi's soul. Once they transform into a monster, there's no going back. I'm really sorry, if there was any other way."

But of course, there is a 'cure' for witches now. She smiles, trying to be hopeful for Sachiko. "However, remember I told you about a girl named Madoka Kaname? Well, she's also a Puella Magi, but she has the ability to cleanse a Puella Magi's soul of darkness and therefore, she can literally 'cure' a witch and turn them back to normal. So yes, there IS hope for Puella Magi now.."
Momo Akatsuki has posed:
With time beyond her years in her eyes, Momo looks gravelly upon Sayaka. "What if Sachiko's An-shi came back? Could she be cleansed then?". She props her chin up with crossed hands, watching Sayaka.

The camera floats around Sayaka now, bobbing up and down while seemingly looking at her from various angles. Momo takes her eyes from Sayaka momentarily to watch it. "Those show up when sometimes, iunno why. Reiko-sempai says they're there when we express emotion immensely and stuff as... They're co-na-structs.
Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka glances towards Momo, shrugging, "I'm...I'm not too sure in what state Anshi-chan would return, to be honest. I suppose nothing is beyond Kyubey's abilities, but you'd have to be very specific. Plus, a lot of making a wish depends on the potential of the one making the wish. To be honest, those are questions only Kyubey could answer, and sometimes he can be pretty cryptic.."

However, when she considers what Momo is asking, about cleansing her if she's revived, she nods and smiles, "Cleansing her soulgem and restoring her into the girl you knew and loved shouldn't be a problem, now that we have one of the most powerful Puella Magi to give us some hope."

Sayaka smiles, remembering the hope she felt when she first discovered Madoka's utterly selfless dream. "Madoka's wish was to be able to cleanse and restore witches back into the Puella Magi they once were, after she lost her dear friend, Homura. So yes, there's always hope now for us Puella Magi!"

She peers back at the weird camera again, scratching her head with a strange smile, "Oh I see..How very..Interesting! I've never seen those before. Sooo are they taking actual pictures of us?"
Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
Sachiko looks at all the cameras, worriedly, then back to Sayaka whens he answers Momo's question. The little girl looks incredibly uncertain, right now, as she listens to all of this. "An-chi was a puella magi?" she asks, not really understanding the words. "So ... so should I wish her to come back as a witch?" she asks.

"But then I'd be a Puella Magi," Sachiko says, clever enough at least to put that together. "And then I'd turn into a monster, too," she mumbles softly. "I don't wanna be a monster."
Momo Akatsuki has posed:
Looking over at Sachiko with a purse of her lips and a twisting into a frown before shaking it off, Momo turns back to Sayaka. "I don't think so. When I'm fighting and stuff, they flash out streams of pink light like pew pew pew! Except they're cameras so they go click click click.". She nods as if to puncuate that statement, watching one of the cameras herself.

Shortly the two floating about smack into one another and became a slightly larger camera, akin to a Nikon profession photography camera with an extended lengs. It seems almost to glisten as it floats around them, giving a soft little click with Momo's statement.
Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka frowns, "Yeah, she was a Puella Magi, and yes she did turn into a monster, but like I just said, there is one powerful Puella Magi who has the special ability to purify all witches, and therefore she would be able to bring you back, if that happened. "

She bites her lip as she considers, "To be honest, I dont know if that is truly the fate of ALL Puella. I suppose if you were careful enough to keep your soulgem always cleansed, and to find some kind of hope to keep you going no matter how hopeless things are, then you might survive for a long time. Homura-san has been a Puella Magi for around a decade, or so I've heart, because she never gave up hope..."

As for should she become a Puella Magi? Sayaka just shrugs again, "I'm sorry, I cant really tell you what you should and should not do. All I can do, is inform you of the possibilities and dangers of becoming a Puella Magi. Now that you know the whole truth, you're better able to make that decision on your own.."

She glances briefly at Momo and her explanation of the cameras and chuckles, "Wow! sounds like they're a part of you then! Some kind of hidden weapon? Does that make you a magical girl too, then?"
Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
Sachiko would normally excitedly tell Sayaka all about how amazing Momo is as Prism Keeper Pink. But right now the little girl is deep in thought, staring at Kyubey with uncertainty. After a few moments, she leans into Sayaka, putting her head on the Puella's chest. "An-chi was a monster," she mumbles sadly. "She isn't fighting monsters, she didn't get to die being a hero. She just became a monster."
Momo Akatsuki has posed:
Momo looks sadly upon Sachiko before looking up at Sayaka and nodding softly. The camera appears in front of her, rotating in the air, sides circling. "I'm Prism Keeper Pink.". She says it softly, the camera spinning a little faster with the statement.
Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka blinks at Sachiko's response. "Wait, what?" she shakes her head, "No..No! That's not true at all! She was a hero. She was brave, very brave! She helped bring down Walpurgisnacht, and many countless monsters before that!"

She sighs, stroking the girl's hair again, trying to continue to comfort her. "Don't ever think of her as a monster, of course she died a hero. She tried to be strong for everyone, including you!"

"She just....Used up all her magic, and she couldn't fight it anymore. She lost all hope because she believed she had lost everything that mattered to her. Perhaps she even believed she'd lost you too, so please..Dont think she didnt die as a hero, because she did..She was one of the bravest Mahou I've ever seen.."

Finally, Sayaka looks back to Momo, "A Prism Keeper? Sounds familiar, dont think I've ever met one before. What exactly are Prism Keepers?"
Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
Sachiko sniffles a little, but nods her head in acceptance of Sayaka's explanation. "Okay," she mumbles. Then she shifts and slides out of Sayaka's lap, back down to the floor. The little girl kneels down to pick up Kyubey again, and the creature looks at her half-expectantly. But Sachiko doesn't make a wish. Not yet, anyways.

"I guess momma died, too," Sachiko mumbles, "And papa hurt her. Maybe that's why An-chi lost her hope. But I've got Momo-chan," she mumbles. "And Momo-chan doesn't ever give up hope."
Momo Akatsuki has posed:
Momo smiles softly at Sachiko's words, kicking her feet in happiness that Sachiko knows she's there for her. "Never ever.". She says this in remark to the hope comment.

She looks at Sayaka, considering an answer to her question.
Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka smiles as some of her words seem to get through to Sachiko. "Yes, I'm glad you understand now. Anshi-chan was a good person, she was brave, and she was definitely a hero to her last breath. You should be proud of her.."

Sayaka is deeply saddened to hear that her mother died and her father was abusive as well and she sighs, "I'm sorry. That's got to be pretty tough. But..You have Momo-chan now to help you through a tough time. She seems to be your guiding light and hope. I'm sure she'll always be there for you."
Reiko Touyama has posed:
Cue, Roy! Roy is a tiny bird who's been hanging out by a tree by the window. He's a red cardinal. He hops to the windowsill and peeks in. He hops over to Momo and gives a soft wave. "A Prism Keeper." he says politely, interjecting.

"Protects color from the Grey Kingdom." he says- in his usual curt British manner and accent.

Why a cardinal can talk and is british is anyone's guess.

"The current ones are Pink here..." she motions to Momo. "Red, Orange, Yellow, Purple and Blue." she says. "There are more. They have not been 'awakened' yet." he says curtly.

His eyes traced back down to Momo. "Is there anything wrong?" he asks politely. He probably caught some of this, but not much. He's been looking out-- not nessacrily looking in.
Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
Sachiko looks up at the bird confusedly, still clinging to Kyubey uncertainly. "Momo-chan?" she asks confusedly. "Why is there a talking bird in the window?"
Momo Akatsuki has posed:
Momo blinked as Roy comes in and answers the question for her. She nods as she talks, watching him. "H-hey Roy-sempai.... Sachiko, this is Roy-sempai. He and Biv-sempai have been looking after me.".
Reiko Touyama has posed:
Roy gives a polite bow to Sachiko. "Hello." he says softly. "Yes. We've been taking care of Momo-chan." he says with a smile. "Her sister is off trying to solve a mystery. It's taking time, but she's getting close. We hope." he says softly.

He looks down to Momo. "Everything is okay then, good!" he says. "I was rather worried when that... darkness appeared the other night. I'm glad Orange responded." he pauses.

"What happened?" he asks. He may not had gotten a chance to speak to Orange on the matter yet it seems!
Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka blinks as she sees a talking bird in the window. "What? A talking bird?" And apparently he's been 'taking care' of Sachiko? "Oh..Are you a magical bird? what sort of mystery?" she smiles, "my name is Sayaka Miki. Nice to meet you, Roy-san!" she's not really sure if she should shake his..Err..Wing, or what! so she just stands there, nodding to him instead as he explains what Prism Keepers are.

"The grey kingdom? colors of the rainbow? So you guys are..protecting color?" she asks a bit quizzically, wondering what's so special about colors..

When he asks what happens, Sayaka shrugs, "We were just talking. I think Sachiko here is on the mend.." although Sayaka cant help but peer intently at Kyubey, wondering if she'll make that wish with him or not.
Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
Kyubey looks right back at Sayaka, offering no insight into what he might be thinking. He doesn't say anything, though; just remains huddled up in Sachiko's arms. Sahciko stares at the bird confusedly for several long moments, then blinks confusedly and shakes her head. "She came and helped me with the nightmare," she says to Roy. "Momo-chan helped me, too," she says. "And then I got to dance for them, and for Sky Jack-onii-chan."

Sachiko looks up to Sayaka uncertainly for a moment, then sighs and asks, "Onee-chan, are you a puella magi, too? Are you gonna turn into a monster, like An-chi did?"
Reiko Touyama has posed:
Roy gives Sayaka a serious look. He'll accept a wing shake, but he says. "Important." he says. He doesn't elaborate it seems. Mascosts, and thier vaugeness.

He smiles some. "Momo's done a lot since she's awoken. I'm sure Mei-chan will be really proud when she gets back." he says.

"If she doesn't kill Reiko first." he says bemusedly. "It's a silly worry Reiko's had since. She made a promise, but it was a really silly promise." he insists.
Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka nods, "Oh I see, you're here to watch over Momo-chan then.." She just nods again as Sachiko explains things, but shakes her head when she asks if Sayaka will turn into a monster too. "No. I'm sure I wont, as long as I have hope in my heart. That's the important thing, besides, even if I did turn into a monster, Madoka can always purify my soulgem and restore me."

Suddenly her phone beeps as she receives a text message. "Oh...I need to deal with something." she finally stands, heading for the door, but pausing before leaving. "Sachiko-chan..Momo-chan. I hope I managed to answer all your questions. At the least, it will help you to make a more informed decision, should you decide to make that contract with Kyubey."

"Feel free to call me anytime if you have any further questions. Bye for now!" she also waves to Roy, not wanting to exclude him just because he's a bird!
