Spiritual Visitations
Date of Scene: 20 April 2016
Location: Waldians Home
Synopsis: Sachiko comes to try to visit Runealy. It's a very, very good thing that Runealy isn't home.
Cast of Characters: Sachiko Hayakawa, Hinote Kagari, Fate T. Waldia, Gaofele Doiru

Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
Runealy has gone out, for the moment; rushing to meet a friend who wanted to talk about something urgent. It's only a few short minutes after the limousine pulls away that a strange wind begins to swirl around the Waldian home. It rattles the windows and strains the doors, and the general moaning and howling sounds almost otherworldly.

And in that wind, a small girl is busy skipping her way up towards the front door, humming a soft song to herself. That girl has cinnamon-coloured hairs and green eyes, and she's dressed in a cute gothic lolita dress, all browns and blacks and ruffles and lace. Following just behind her is a somewhat older looking girl in pants and a jacket, with fluffy brown hair and similarly green eyes--except hers lack any whites or pupils.

"Now, remember what I told you," says the older girl as they approach. "You are to ask for the Princess. And if they will not let you see her ..."

"... I know," says little Sachiko. "It'll be fine, An-chi. I know what to do. I'll make you so proud," she says excitedly.

The older girl nods and moves to duck around the corner, still unperturbed by the ominous wind. From her vantage point, she can watch the front door, but it will make her much harder to see.

Then, the younger girl puts on her best smile and knocks.
Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari is lounging in the main living room with the TV on. He's watching some sort of play on a fine arts channel. He's watching his dad act in the production he's off partcipating in, in New York. After this, he has a part in a series as some sort of detective-- he'll be gone for another half of a year for filming. Ugh.

Hinote Kagari kinda wishes his dad would take a break soon. Too much acting and you turn crazy. Don't turn Crazy, Dad, he thinks.

There's a guest staying over. He's mostly playing the role of watchout and lookout right now in the late night.

There's harsh winds at the window, he can hear it whipping. "Huh. Sounds like a storm." he says.

He checks his phone's weather widget. Huh. Says it's clear out... and that.. the wind MPH isn't really /that/ high. He raises a brow and walks to the window and peeks out a moment, gently splaying a venetian blind after pulling an elaborate curtain to the side.

"MMmmmm. Hey Gao. Weird weather. Think we should ch---"

Then there's a knock at the door. "Huh."

He walks over to the door and purses his lips as he crosses his arms.

He opens the door slowly... then sees.... a small girl in a pretty dress. Okay.

"Hey there!" he says as friendly as can be. "Can I help you?" he asks softly.
Fate T. Waldia has posed:
Fate Testarossa is in her room, where she's been most of the time. She didn't leave her henshin until Arf dropped of clothes, and when she did Fate immediately changed. Now she's sitting on her bed, Arf sitting next to her, each of them playing a 3DS. The go between laughing, sticking their tongues out at each other, or focusing intently on their screens. Even when laughing, they remain pretty quiet.

This goes on until they hear the wind blowing, and then they stop and look at each other. Fate, nervously, frowns at Arf. Neither one of them think that things are perfectly okay here. Arf volunteers. "I'll go check to see who it is, and then I'll tell you through Bardiche, okay?" Fate nods, and then the familiar stands up to go walk towards the front door, seeing Hinote already opening it and peering around him at the little girl beyond.

Arf offers Sachiko a friendly wave and a smile. Looks alright so far.
Gaofele Doiru has posed:
Earth's take on stage and similar forms of entertainment had proven to be something that Gao enjoyed, and he'd watch them on occasion on the television. Besides, it gives him something to do while he helps keep watch.

He frowns slightly at the wind rattling the windows; it deepens when Hinote mentions it as unusual weather. "Today's weather didn't suggest that it'd be doing this tonight," he agrees.

He pauses at the knock at the door. With a nod to Hinote, Gao moves to where he can see both the front door and some of the back halls. The knock might not be a distraction... but it might. Best to be wary.
Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
The little girl outside looks like she's maybe seven or eight, at most. Not very old at all. "Hi!" she says, pleasantly enough, as she twists just a little left and right, almost like she's dancing with herself. "Is this the home of the Priness of Waldia? My big sister says she lives here, and that I should meet her. Is she home? Can I meet her?"

The wind doesn't die down, while she's talking, and perhaps some of the little girl's words will be drowned out by its noisiness. And yet, for some reason, the girl's dress doesn't seem disturbed by the wind at all. Outside the door, trees are starting to bend, and debris is flying. Yet she is, oddly, unmolested by the weather.

Yeah, that's totally natural.
Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari looks up at the weather past the girl and--- woah. It's really blowing out there. It's very very strong. She frowns. He motions the girl forward a little bit, at least into the door a few steps. So he can hear the girl better. He's pretty sure he heard what she asked clear enough at least to answer her.

"It's stormy outside it seems." he says to the girl. Does he notice the oddness. Maybe.

But the girl is also asking for 'Princess of Waldia' so maybe it's 'magic'.

"Hi. I'm Hinote Kagari." he says. "No. Princess Runealy isn't here right now." he says with a smile. "May I ask why you're looking for her? It looks very dangerous outside! Is it an emergency?" he asks softly. "Is something chasing you?" he asks.

There's no way this little girl is here to hurt them, right?
Fate T. Waldia has posed:
Arf's canine ears can pick up on what's being said, even over the wind, and she relays the information to Fate. Searching for the Princess of Waldia? Well, this is the place to look for her, sure enough. It's enough that Fate is fairly convinced that it's not her mother or her mother's familiars, so she soon leaves her room to peek around the corner at the little girl, only a year or two younger than she is.

Fate's eyes narrow and her lips purse. That wind is unnatural, and the fact that it's not touching her only makes it more strange. It's pretty clearly a magical matter at this point.

Still, the little girl seems friendly enough, right? She, at least, isn't overtly hostile.

Fate's red eyes can't help but watch this whole scene closely, and Arf is right next to her.
Gaofele Doiru has posed:
Gaofele Doiru watches patiently. The girl doesn't seem to be hostile, and between the inquiry and the apparent eye of the magical storm, she's definitely involved with magic. What kind of involvement, it's hard to say, but at least Gao is aware that it is invovled.

He does move to get a better view of the girl, still keeping an eye on the rest of the house. Sure, the girl appears harmless enough, but that doesn't preclude a surprise maneuver from an accomplice -- and he is supposed to be keeping watch, after all. But this is why there's two on watch: so one can stand guard while the other is busy.
Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
The wind grows even more absurd, moaning like the spirits of the dead around the girl. There's a brief flicker of something over her shoulder; a ghost? No, it's probably just a dust eddie. Somewhere nearby a car alarm goes off; there's a loud snap as a tree literally breaks in half, followed by the crash of its fall.

"Not here?" the unaffected little girl asks, then frowns. She doesn't even seem to notice the wind. Weird. "Well that's no good. I guess I'll have to come back. Thanks!" she says, then glances past Hinote towards the people behind him. "Ohhh, cute doggy ears," she says to Arf. She probably shouldn't be able to see that, if she isn't magical. "I'll try back later," announces the little girl, before she turns and starts to skip away, humming to herself as she goes. Such a cheerful tune.
Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari blinks. "Hey---wait! It's dangerous out there!" he says as he tries to raise a hand to try to stop the girl from leaving-- and oh. She's running-- whoops!

"H--hey!" nrg...

"Gao, something's going on out there." he says as he closes the door.

"Should we try to go chase her? I'm not going out there without any sort of protection..." he says as he looks over to Arf and grimaces a bit.

"Sorry, doesn't seem to be anyone here for Fate." he says. "For better or worse." he says as he gently fishes into his pocket for his relic. "Gao, stay here for a moment. Just in case." he says.

"To protect justice, I am Guardian Hino." he says.

The transformation is short--- a flash effect, nothing particularly fancy. No stock footage today.

Guardian Hino steps outside as he closes the door behind him and looks left and right, raising an arm up to keep the wind off his face and eyes. "Hey, you, you're still around here!?" he calls out into the wind. "Come on... it's too dangerous out here."

He might aswell be yelling in front of heavy traffic.
Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
A little girl's giggle sounds on the wind, drifting from no particular direction towards Hinote.

A shadowy figure pokes around the corner--not the little girl, certainly; it's the other girl, peering at Hinote curiously as she watches him Henshin. That figure smiles amusedly and ducks back around the corner once more; watching, but not interfering directly.

Guardian Hino isn't out in the wind long before his own words are proven accurate.

"SOULSLASH!" comes a cry from nearby. A razor-thin cord of cutting wind that screams like the dead streaks towards Hinote. Dodging is not an option. Ducking might be. Tanking it certainly is, but it's going to hurt.

The little girl is gone, but there's another figure there, now. White hair and dead eyes, her black dress is more elaborate, and adorned with green bows and ribbons. In her hand she bears a tall and wicked-looking scythe, and around her neck is a green-glowing rope.
Fate T. Waldia has posed:
Arf reflexively beams at the little girl and says, "Thanks!" Her ears even twitch in response. It's Fate who understand what this means, about the little girl and what she sees. Normal people don't pick up on things like that, usually. At best, they assume her ears are one of those nekomimi things.

As the little girl leaves, Fate silently looks up at Hinote and then at Gao. Hinote's going out in that alone? Fate frowns. She really doesn't like how this is shaping up... It isn't long before Arf picks up at it and starts looking at Fate in concern.

She feels the Soul Slash, and it feels wrong to her. The little yellow triangle that is Bardiche confirms it, and Arf says, "Fate!"

Fate is already rushing for the door. Bardiche takes the form of an axe, and Fate's shirt and shorts are replaced by her caped henshin. She turns to take a look at Gao and Arf. "Whatever it is, it's not my mother, but it's attacking him. I don't mind hiding here, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to act when these people get attacked."

She exits the house, chasing after Hinote, and Arf follows closely behind. It doesn't take them long to see Hinote... and the strange girl trying to cut him.

"Stop that!" shouts Fate, unsure if the thing will even respond. Is... is that morbid-looking thing a ghost?!
Gaofele Doiru has posed:
Gaofele Doiru nods to Hinote as the other knight heads after the girl. "To protect the lands, I am Guardian Gao!" the forester intones, sliding his bracer onto his arm.

There's a flash of green, and Gao stands with his quarterstaff in hand, ready to defend. He looks up as Fate & co. react to something out there, then nods as Fate makes her declaration. "Looks like we're going to meet the trouble head-on," he agrees, following quickly.

He narrows his eyes at the strange girl, and winces at the sight of the cutting wind. The forester knight is far enough back that his usual defensive magic can't reach in time, and he's not sure if a certain one of his plant-arrows could stop the Soulslash.

So he doesn't.

"NETTLE BARRAGE!" Gao calls out, firing a shot over the slash. The arrow fragments into several narrow shafts, aimed like a shotgun at the rope-wearing girl. If defense isn't an option, counterattacking just might be!
Hinote Kagari has posed:
Guardian Hino is out in the wind for exactly a few seconds before he reaches up to his shoulder and unclips his cape. whoosh, there it goes. Now he isn't being bothered by it- because he could feel it pull himself. Now he's just in handsome finery- with a longsword at his side.

He's keeping alert for sounds-- and he does hear the giggle. "Hey--- over here." he calls out.

Then something louder gets called out and he turns to it. He grabs the hilt of his longsword and ducks. He's suddenly glad he lost the cape--- it'd had made that harder.

He stands back up slowly as he draws his longsword. "Nrg.. trap." he says.

Well, it was obvious something was wrong. But well. You gotta belive the best in people when you can, right?

Out comes Fate and Gao, excellent, he thinks.

"I dunno what you want... but... you're not finding it here today." he calls out.

he raises up his palm and fires off a fire bolt.

"IGNITION!" he calls out- as it fires off towards the girl.
Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
The dead-eyed figure tilts her head as her soul slash passes right over Guardian Hino's head. She simply steps up into the air, walking on the wind as if it was solid. Gao's shot streaks straight through the wind, chased by the fire. But nettles and fire are easily captured by the wind. The little girl raises a hand.

"Soul Twister" she declares, and a sudden flurrious tornado whips forth out of her hand, capturing the fire and the nettles both and turning them into a flaming whirlwind that she sends straight towards Guardian Gao!

"Murderers," she accuses them. This girl has no problem speaking over the wind. Although she's speaking no louder than the cinnamon-haired girl was, her voice seems supernaturally augmented; carried on the wind to the ears of those listening. "You who defend the Waldian like she's your saviour; your hero. You are just as guilty as she is! Murderers! I have come in search of vengeance!"
Fate T. Waldia has posed:
Fate watches as both nettles and fire are sent back to their casters. That's about all she needs to see before she assumes that the same would happen to Photon Lancer. She holds her arm up to cover her face as the wind blows around her, whipping her hair around and her cape straight back. The wind is furious, but as a quick flyer Fate is at least somewhat used to dealing with it.

    <Scythe Mode>

Bardiche transforms into a scythe of Fate's own, and she presses forward through the wind, putting one foot in front of the other and trudging forward. When she gets close enough she lunges forward, putting her speed to use, lifting her scythe before trying to strike Memoria with it.

"Leave us alone! We don't even know what you're talking about!"
Gaofele Doiru has posed:
"Pinecone Spiker!" Gao calls out, unleashing another arrow before diving away from the fiery whirlwind. The arrow turns into a softball-sized pinecone, spiny and laden with sap -- which ignites as it flies through the burning whirlwind, sizzling as it flies.

At first glance, the shot seems to go wide, flying past the dead-eyed girl. And it does -- putting Memoria between it and Fate before exploding nearby into pine-scented shrapnel. "What, are you a demon, then?" the forester knight shouts at Memoria. "Or some sort of demon-lover? Because those are what Waldians kill!"
Hinote Kagari has posed:
Guardian Hino doesn't really get this either. Murderers? He tries to think of who'd he's 'killed' and the only thing that comes to mind is Hana- 'The White Flower'. His lips purse a moment in thought but only a moment. Well.

This girl is screaming about Waldians. He hops into a nearby tree- being blown by the wind, then off it and upwards and forward. He's trying to get closer- so he can make use of his sword.

Another hop. He calls out.

"Murderers? Explain." he snaps. "That's a heavy accusation."

He aims to come down and swing his sword directly into Memoria this time-- to either force her to dodge or parry it seems this time rather than just capture his attack--- hopefully Fate's own actions make this easier to accomplish.
Sachiko Hayakawa has posed:
The spectrous little girl takes a step backwards on the wind, and raises her scythe defensively to meet Fate's. "Murderers!" she repeats, voice still carried to those present. The girl doesn't seem terribly talented at melee combat, becayse after one feeble slash she quickly rushes away from Fate, buying herself space.

Only then there's a sudden gooey flaming shrapnel bomb that explodes just behind her, and she shrieks in terror. "No!" she screams, and doesn't quite spot the incoming sword. The heavy blade slashes straight into her shoulder, leaving a brutal cut in her green and black dress. Ablaze, sticky, and wounded, the little girl curls up on herself and then lets out a feral scream.

"Spectral Shockwave!" A sudden furious wind explodes outward from the girl in all directions, blasting Fate and Hino with the all the force of a category five hurricane. But she doesn't look to be pressing the attack; instead, the mysterious, dead-eyed little girl uses the distraction to flee, rushing away on the winds, leaving a trail of sap, ash, and some gooey green essence in her wake.
Fate T. Waldia has posed:
Even for someone who is used to causing her own storms while flying, that much wind is no joke. Especially since a lot of Fate's speed comes from being, well... light. Fate is blown backwards and away, flying through the air until Arf jumps up to catch her. Between the two of them, they stabilize their flight path and regain control... just in time to watch the girl trying to fly away.

Fate frowns as she watches her flee, and when they feel it's safe both mage and familiar slowly drift towards the ground. Fate looks up to Hino and Gao, asking, "What was that about? I don't think I've ever seen that girl before."

The whole 'glowing rope around the neck' thing didn't look all that nice either. In fact, everything about the girl would have probably given Fate nightmares if she hadn't seen her just run away. Or Fate might end up having nightmares anyways.
Gaofele Doiru has posed:
Even without taking the brunt of the shockwave, Gao still has to brace himself against the sudden gusts. He swaps back to his quarterstaff as he rejoins the others, one eye on the fleeing Memoria. "Are you three okay?" he asks, standing guard in case of a final parting shot.
Hinote Kagari has posed:
Guardian Hino is flung back by the winds. He grabs onto a tree and has to wait for them to die down before he lets go and let himself fall down to the ground. He offs and pushes himself up. He looks around and-- she's running away. He frowns a bit as he waits a few silent moments, looking over to Gao giving a nod and then back to Fate.

"Well. A girl comes in and asks for the Princess. Then shortly after, a strange scary looking girl attacks us screaming about us being Murderers and The Princess being made to pay." he says.

"My best guess is 'demon' but I can't confirm that. Gotta tell the Princess, she'll know." he says softly.

"Remember when we sealed the barrier? Back on Waldia?" he asks. "Those things." he says softly.

"But, otherwise, your guess'll be as good as mine." he mutters.

"Maybe someone associated with The White Flower? I kind of helped take her down. Wasn't pleasent."

"Otherwise..."

"That's it." he says with a sigh.

"Sorry about that guys." he mutters as he walks towards the house again. "I'm gonna do a sweep." he says. "Make sure it's gone."
Fate T. Waldia has posed:
"I remember the White Flower," says Fate. "and I remember the demons." She looks in the direction that Memoria fled in, thoughtfully. Could that girl really be associated with them? She didn't seem like a demon, but then again Fate only had met two of them. The White Flower on the other hand seemed to follow a similar line of thinking... but did the White Flower show them anything like that girl when it started telling them about her past?

Fate shakes her head, twintails swaying as she does so. "It's not adding up. Whatever it is, I hope it's gone now. I think I'm going to head inside. If you need help again, we'll be around."

Fate leaves for the house, and Arf follows soon after, looking over her shoulder to watch Hino as he goes off to check the surroundings.
Gaofele Doiru has posed:
Guardian Gao nods to Hinote. "Make it a quick sweep," he advises. "The less time we're split, the better." The forester knight walks after Fate and Arf, keeping an eye out for further trouble as they head back towards the door and into the house once more.
