Date of Scene: | 26 June 2016 |
Location: | Pikarigaoka - Old Church |
Synopsis: | Lacrima comes back to her 'safe spot' and meets someone different two days in a row, Eilam Hisakawa. Both talk about magic and immortality and Eilam's attempts at flirting blow completely over Lacrima's head. |
Cast of Characters: | Norie Okana, Eilam Hisakawa |
- Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima returned to the church again after last night. Last night was... well intresting. She didn't mind talking to Jiaying really. She didn't judge her. Like Ayana. She doesn't know, maybe there's something about foxgirls that make them not judge people. Maybe.. maybe she needs to meet more foxgirls or something.
She wonders if there even ARE anymore.
She sat there, in her odd purple dress with the light bat motif as she lifted a finger and began tracing... something into the back of the pew in front of her. There was no mark left or glow or anything. She was mostly muttering to herself. It's hard to tell what she's saying from a distance but the word 'stupid' and 'idiot' and 'useless' can sometimes be heard if you pay attention.
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
Eilam had actually been here as well not the previous night, but the night before, and in the process had come to speak with a member of the clergy who worked here about trying to obtain some information on death records of someone he had met when he was younger. Unfortunately that did not pan out, though in the process, he had come across Jiaying and forgotten something of his in the process inside the church! It was really a coincidence, but when he finally realized it, maybe an hour ago, he decided to make his way towards the church to try and get it back. What was it? Where was it? Well, a pew back and a bit to the right behind Lacrima there was a small folded handkerchief that was relatively fancy-looking, wrapped around something. It had been set there, left unmolested in the meanwhile simply out of presence of no one really bothering it so far.
So, amidst Lacrima's focusing on the back of the pew in front of her, she may or may not hear the doors of the church open quietly and someone step inside, the fellows stave left to lean against the doorway nearby where umbrellas typically were. Though a thought passed through his head. Something Jiaying had said. Something about not knowing if this church was warded against spirits and the likes as was some eastern shrines. "..." Eilam looked at the doorway. She'd said something about being unable to pass through some if she went too fast? So, with the door still open, he quickly jerked his arm out, curious if he would impact some magical forcefield. He, of course, did not. a) not being wardable, and b) probably also the presence of no ward. It did get him to laugh softly as he turned and walked towards the interior of the church proper to try and figure out where he last was in here while waiting on the clergy and see if his wrapped package was still there! Eilam was wearing, today, a rather fancy-looking pair of black slacks with an orange shirt, a red and white koi-patterned tie that he had found while shopping around and bought on a whim when the thought of Reikos koi popped into his head. A strange ensemble, certainly, but it amused him, even a pair of orange(actual Oranges) cufflinks on!
- Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima -- or 'Norie' for that matter -- never had a problem entering this particular chruch. She sort of just walks in from the Dusk Zone without issue regularly-- she's rarely used the door- but has a few times. She'd never felt unwanted or never some force pushing her away, the opposite. She felt more comfortable here than many other places in Japan.
She'd traced this to the architecture. More western than japanese. A-frame church with stained glass windows. Something about her power felt more comfortable here. She found it super ironic really.
At least she only came around when the church was quite empty for the evening and all congregations and priests or reverends or fathers or what have you all left for the day.
She does hear the door open and she leans her head up as she turns to look at the entering boy. Her eyes narrow. Not anyone she knows.
She begins to shie away... lowering her posture behind the pew bench she's sitting in, but hardly hiding.
There's a few options running through her head. 'Stay quiet and maybe he'll leave' 'Hey, free meal.' 'Find out what he's here for.' and a few other things.
She choices to remain quiet, but her eyes follow him questionigly for a few moment.
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
At first Eilam didn't seem to notice her, kind of spacing out as he walked through something in his head. His hand as he walked rested on the edge of the pews, wandering along slowly, slowly, as if counting before he stopped and looked down the isle of the pew, trying to remember where he was. This put him three rows behind the other who was here before he FINALLY realized someone else was there! It was only when he'd looked around for some landmark that he saw her. "Ah, haha, you must be confused as to what I am doing. I, uh... was here a couple of nights ago and forgot something and I was looking for it. I had something wrapped up in a handkerchief. You have not seen it, have you?"
His voice was soft, a little tired perhaps, manner of speaking relatively 'proper'. "If not, I might have to look around a bit more before trying to find out if any of the clergy are still here." Without quite waiting for an answer he starts to look around again before moving up one more row closer to Lacrima, leaving what he was actually searching for in the row between, not quite in his sight yet.
- Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima blinks once as he talks. She purses her lips and frowns a bit. "Not really." she says on 'confused why he's here'. "I just come here to think." she says matter of factly. "Huh...?"
She looks around confusedly. "I haven't seen any handkercief." she says matter of factly.
She looks around, left and right as she frowns a bit.
"No, no one else is here today. It's just me. I'm sure of this."
A pause.
"And you." she says plainly as she frowns some more.
She purses her lips a bit. Pink hair... a stick. Why is this familar. She has to search her thoughts a bit as her eyes scan the ceiling then the ground a moment, before. "Oh. Do you know Jiaying?" she asks, matter of factly. "She described someone with pink hair and a stick." she says matter of factly.
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
"Well, then I'm lucky I at least have the company of a pretty girl, right?" Eilam offers with his best attempt at a disarming smile her way before a sudden, "Oh!" He happened to look down right as he walked by it. "So happy, here it is. I was all worried about it, haha." And with that, he reached down and picked it up, carefully poking at it without unwrapping it only to nod and tuck it into the hem of his pants above his rump, out of the way.
Whatever it was, it's seemingly deposited safely away from Lacrima's eyes. Unless she cared to figure out what it was.
"Jiaying? I... do know a girl by that name, yes. Though why she would be talking about me I am unsure. ...nor would I call it a stick, but perhaps? Did you need something?" Part of him, no, all of him was hoping Jiaying hadn't betrayed his trust and was just rambling on about his condition to anyone who would hear. If that was the case, well... that was never an enjoyable thing to try and take care of.
- Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima makes no remark at being called pretty. She seems to merely blink boredly once. Either she doesn't know how to react to it, or she has no reason to. This is probably in a stark contrast to the blushing and/or more reactionary measures Eilam may have gotten from other girls. Her eyes look down to the handkerchief and back up to Eilam.
It's none of her bussiness really. If she was really intrested in it- she could probably just drain the boy and take it anyways.
She purses her lips again before she talks.
"Hrm?" she shakes her head. "No. Your description came up when we were talking about my condition." she says as her expression grows more neutral from that frown.
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
Not everyone is interested, or easily embarrassed, so it hardly bothers Eilam when his attempts don't get a foothold. He's still just as friendly, though. Also interested to a point because Jiaying had said /something/. It wasn't until she mentioned what, and a specific phrase came up, that his curiosity was pricked and he made his way out of that pew isle to go towards where she was invite himself to sit nearby her. "Is it anything you would like to speak of, your condition? If not, that is your choice and I understand any desire for privacy... considering my own health problems. I was a bit worried when you mentioned Jiaying that she had decided to say something about me that I would prefer to keep to myself."
But, now that he knows otherwise, he was more relaxed. Even if he was trying to hold a conversation. Depending on if she could sense magic or not, he wasn't remotely so. At best, there might just be something 'odd' about him, but nothing outright magical. "My name is Eilam, if you would care to offer me yours?"
- Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima head tilts. "My condition?" she asks. "Oh." she says. "I was talking about a lot of pink haired people who hurt me before. She asked if someone like that matched your description. I said 'No'." she says plainly. "I don't know why she'd mention you." a pause and then a weary weary look.
"...you don't weild purification magic. Do you?" she asks. She doesn't seem to care if Eilam is 'mundane' or not when she asks this question.
"My name is Lacrima." she says flatly. "Norie is also correct. but I'd rather not talk about that." she says.
"My condition is that I am a vampire." she says. Once again. Not caring if Eilam is mundane or not. Really. She isn't afraid of mundanes. She can just... make them forget.
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
Eilam just kind of stared back at her before giving a little 'huh' sound. Vampire. Three days ago he would have considered her a liar, or crazy if she truly thought that. Two days ago Jiaying had made a remark about 'knowing a vampire' and 'How could he not believe in vampires if he's a zombie?'(he isn't one), and here... was someone who knew Jiaying, who claimed to be a vampire.
He stared at her quietly a bit more only to shake his head. "I do not use magic, no. ...in fact it was not until a week or so ago at best I knew Magic existed. I will not be hurting you, so no worries about that, Miss Lacrima? As long as you do not try to hurt me at least. ...not that I could do much about it to a Vampire but I'd still rather remain civil and on talking terms."
He was strangely accepting of it. Really, who was he to judge anothers situation? Just because she's a vampire doesn't mean anything untoward by default. Maybe vampires weren't all that bad! "I will refrain from telling others about your... vampirism, then. I am not a vampire, though... Honestly I do not know if I am even human anymore. I would have thought I was, but when I found out about magic, I have slowly begun to wonder if I am even alive or just... stuck in the process of dying, but never able to complete it." A small sigh escaped Eilam, feeling strangely relaxed talking to her for some reason. Maybe it was just because she seemed relaxed as well. "So, you drink blood? If so, I feel bad for you, blood tastes terrible. Coca Cola tastes much better, haha."
- Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima almost feels offended at the blood drinking comment. Like it was a terrible, off color offensive remark about her kin. She doesn't show it though. "No, I drain energy. Jiaying calls it 'chi' or whatever. I just call it 'human energy'." she says matter of factly.
"I can drink and eat, but it's purely entertainment. I get nothing from it." she says. "It tastes good. Is about it." she says matter of factly.
She purses her lips and listens mostly. "I haven't been this way for very long. A little under a year." she says gently. She head tilts and leans forward. She goes back to tracing symbols in the back of the pew in front of her. She still talks though.
"Why do you feel that way?" she asks softly. "Like you're constantly dying?" she asks curiously.
"I guess I can understand that. I just feed because if I don't, I lose control, and become some sort of feral monster and I'd rather not kill anyone." she says matter of factly.
"Stealing energy... they scream for a moment. Then fall unconcious. And then they wake up tired. That's it." she says. "but these stupid idiots around here treat it like I'm commiting some griveous sin against natures." she huffs.
"One is more or less trying to kill me now. Stupid."
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
She speaks, he listens. That's a lot to take in, but he does listen. After all, what does he know about her? Nothing. Can't learn anything if he just runs his mouth. Though towards the end, she mentions something about someone trying to kill her now. Maybe it will catch her off guard, then, that he reaches over and offers her a pat on the shoulder, almost a half hug, even if he was still trying to be polite about it. "Killing something simply because they have to eat is a bit simpleminded, but humans are short-lived and... are not often able to think about the long term. They only see the short, because to them, it is long. You probably know that, though, right? If you have only been this way for a year or so, then it probably seems like no time at all."
How many weren't scared of her? Maybe it was a new thing. Or maybe she was used to it. He didn't know, even if he was trying to be nice. He did feel a bit bad for her. It was strange for him to, but he did. Maybe it was because she had a 'sickness', a condition she couldn't control. "As for why I feel that way... it is because I am. I cannot die, that I have ever found out. Any injury I sustain is healed back shortly, and... my body has been trying to heal itself from a sickness I contracted hundreds of years ago when I was still young. Before I had this... healing, I got sick and it ate away at my energy, my ability to live. And soon before I was no more... something trapped me as I was. Unable to die, or get better. Just... forever stuck in place. So... I do not just feel that way. I have been dying for hundreds of years. So if you need someone to talk to, or be around, I would be happy to keep your company?"
- Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima frowns. "Well he's upset because I drained a friend into a coma. But it was his fault. She let me drain her. He didn't like that. So he interfered and ruined everything." she frowns. It's straight forward. "Besides. He can't kill me like he's trying to anyways." she says softly.
"I'll just hurt a whole lot then need to reform." she says. "Can't kill what doesn't live, etc." she says as with a sigh.
Eilam touches her shoulder. She's cold to the touch. Not a warm body-- cold like you'd expect someone who's been dead for a good few hours to feel like. "Hundreds of years ago?" she purses her lips a bit.
"How long? Do you have a timeframe year?" a pause. "Were you ever in spain?" another pause. "If so when?" she asks. Suddenly ALL the questions.
Another pause. "...how far back to actually remember?" she asks.
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
"Spain? I have been to spain before, yes, but... exactly when it is hard for me to recall... hm." and with that, he went quiet, likely going over his memories. "I do not know exactly when I was born... not even an estimate. For so long I just... got by. Hid, lived. Tried to. Tried to end it a lot too. When I finally came out of my... isolation, it was... there was a conflict going on between the British and the Scottish. It is still a bit of a blur for me, sadly. I had not really established any sort of foothold in anything, so a lot of my... memories have no anchors, as it was. Like, I imagine if you remember your favorite toys when you were young, you remember where you played with them, and maybe smells and such. For me... I was still quite transitory, so I have no such recollection. I know I stayed in spain for a decade or so near the end of the seventeen hundreds... and I think I went again mid eighteen? ... I did not really stay there for any length beyond visits until the 1930's. With all the talk of war..."
Eilam closed his eyes as he said that, shivering a bit, "I thought it would be better if I went somewhere safer. After World War one, my idiot self thought Austria would be a peaceful place to stay after that. But... no, I think last I was in spain, I visited in the 1980's. Why do you ask?"
Then he added, "As for how far back I remember... I remember my family when I was young. Some of my early life before... this. But where I was born, and raised, we did not really name it. It was simply home. A village. I do not even know what part of europe."
- Norie Okana has posed:
The 1700's.... one of the magic numbers she was hoping for as an answer--- and she wants to completely talk over Eilam but she doesn't. She listens because she purses her lips. "Sounds like a very long time..." she says softly. "If we're talking that far back." she says with pursed lips as she taps the bottom of her chin.
"Does... does the name 'Poderoso' mean anything to you? Powerful, in spanish, but it would had been the name of someone who would had either been a noble, or masquerading as one, somewhere in spain around that time period...." she says softly.
".....my 'power' infected me through a necklace..." she motions to the one around her neck. "I know the power originates from this individual- because I dream about it." she says.
"I didn't know spanish before that. But I vaugely do now. Just 'suddenly'. It's jarring. Understanding a language you didn't before." she says. "But not others." she says softly.
"I only know him through the dreams. I know he was destroyed, by 'Hunters' of some sort." she says. "But...." she shakes her head.
"Nevermind." she says cynically. "Even if you did meet him you probably won't remember." she says matter of factly.
She sighs a bit and wraps her arms around her.
"I can't die either. I know I'm going to live a long time unless someone 'kills' me too. I often wonder what I'm going to do for 'hundreds of years' but..." she shrugs. "When I don't even know what I'm going to do tommrow." she says gently.
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
Eilam shakes his head at that. "No... I do not know that name. I might have heard of them elsewise, but I do not directly recall the name. Until a week ago I did not even know my condition might be magic. And I imagine that would be jarring, yes. But as for you..."
There was a soft hmm before he says, "What would you want to do? Would you want to figure out these things for yourself? It is your life in the end, and while I might want to keep you around me forever just so I have one thing constant in my life... you are not a pet, you're still a person. Even if you are adorable to look at." There was a strange... softness in his voice. Eilam himself didn't even realize it was present, nor why, but he was kind of... strangely attracted to Lacrima at this point. Not even physically, more of an emotional thing. The idea that there is someone else... who cannot die. Someone who is just getting into this kind of life, like he lived. A rather strong desire to try and protect her? But he's also sensible enough to know that probably won't work unless she wants it too.
"At the least, would you accompany me back to my manor this evening? I can give you your own room and all. You will if nothing else be safe there. And while you might not be able to die, I will take it quite personally if you hurt anyone who works there. They are all friends of mine. If you find yourself hungry... well, I suppose you and I can work something out since I cannot imagine whatever you have to do will leave me any worse than I am now, considering I cannot even do it myself."
The hand was still resting on her shoulder, arm across her back, if she was not pulling away from it. "The offer is there, Miss Lacrima. You may be new to all this, but I am not. It is entirely up to you if you would like to take anything from my experience or not. I just want you to be safe, and happy, and would not wish my own past mistakes upon anyone. Especially someone as sweet as you seem to be."
- Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima frowns. "I still have a family. For now. To go home too. And an obnoxious brother who I think remembers he was the first one I drained, but I don't know. He avoids me a lot nowadays." she says softly as she sighs. She just sits there and frowns. "And I have someplace to go if I need it." she says softly.
"Besides, you don't want me around you too long. I'm Dark Energy. I dunno." she says softly. She head tilts. "We could be friends though. You probably won't want to be for very long, though." she frowns.
"These... things that make up my form now. I don't feel positive feelings very well. Because of it." she says. "They call it gloomy , or 'dour' or whatever." she mutters.
"I mean. Normal people. When I go to school." she says frankly.
"The only way I know how to feel certain things is because I remember that I should feel a certain way, so I act the part for others benefit." she slumps. "...and then there's things I haven't felt. And they confuse me when I confront them and just..."
She sighs.
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
"Look. Miss Lacrima. Please do not tell me what I will or will not want. I know exactly what I want, and I want to protect you for my own selfish reasons. I am quite aware I am being selfish in such an endeavor. I will not talk down to you and claim to know what you are experiencing or going through, all I can share is what I went through. And what I know. If you have a home to go back to, a family... good for you. But how you feel, how you want to feel, how you think you should feel?"
He paused at that.
"That is entirely for you. No one else. Not me, not those who want to hurt you, not your friends or family. This is your life, your story... and damn anyone else, hm? Besides, you have forever now to figure it out, so no rush. And do not worry too much about upsetting others. You will outlive them anyways. Except me. You will not outlive me. So you can worry about upsetting me." Despite the choice of words, it was an entirely joking tone. He was trying to be silly in a bit of a dour manner. "The offer remains, Miss Lacrima. I know what I want, but what matters is what you want. And I wish you the best regardless of what you choose."
- Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima seems really confused. "Huh?" she asks with a series of blinks. Then she frowns. "I'm capable of protecting myself." she says with a softer frown. "I'm more worried about purification magic. I'm not strong enough to resist it and it will kill me." she says.
"Positive Energy. Purification. 'Light Energy'... various terms. Same things. It drives out corruption and.... I am basically all that now." she frowns.
She curls her arms around her and seems grow small.... "A friend of mine... with powers like mine, that does the same to him...." she says. "Says family is important. That I should do my best to keep it despite myself." she says.
She frowns-- "I guess that makes sense. That no one will matter in another hundred years." she says.
She just sits there. Giving a non-answer and just kind of falling into a miserable slouch.
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
"Yes, you are, Miss Lacrima. But please do not misunderstand what I mean. It is not that they do not matter, or will not matter. It is that they do not matter to this world. And will have no say in things a hundred years. You, however, do. You will. But the important thing here? Is not what you mean to them... it is what they mean to you. Because as long as you are alive, they will be alive too. Because those who you care about? Those who you remember? They will always live with you no matter how long it is."
A strangely philosophical thing coming from Eilam. "You are the world now. You are your own world, as I am my own. We each get to decide who lives in our world and who dies, and why. We are the gods of our own world. Our own lives. You yours, and me mine. In a lesser sense everyone is. But for those of us who live forever... well."
That gets a smile out of him. "We get to give immortality to others who deserve it. And see gone those who do not. In our own way. As for family... I do not suggest you keep yours close out of some misguided attempt to relive my lost life. My mother and father took me out of my village, far away, and left me to die in the woods when I was sick. I did not die. When I came back, they claimed I was a monster, unholy. Evil. They were not happy to see me alive, they were scared. I simply meant that you have the choice, and you are lucky in that you get to choose. That is what immortality is about, I believe. Choice. You make your choices, and the world becomes yours. There is no rush, however. I will be around forever, and if you can sort out those who want to... purify you, you will as well. Feel free to come see me whenever you like." And with that, Eilam stands, reaching for his wallet to pull out a business card.
After offering it towards her, Eilam stretches and adds, "Including if you get hungry. I am curious if vampiric feeding is as sensual as stories make it out to be or not." Once again with the jokes.
- Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima frowns. "A choice...."
"You think this is a choice?" she asks softly- but a light undertone of accusation. "I bought a pretty necklace in an antique secondhand store. Because I wanted a pretty piece of jewerly. Then I got terribly sick. Then I ended up like this. I didn't..... /ask/ for this." she spits out.
She crosses her arms now. She's still in a miserable slouch.
"You sound a lot like Riventon-san." she says with a softer frown. "He talks about things like that too. How nothing matters except what you want and the rest of the world doesn't matter..."
"But I think the message behind it is different." she says. "I have this power. Others don't. So that makes me stronger." she says.
She frowns and just slouches. Oh then he makes the comment about it being senusual.
"I'm told it hurts a lot and feels like ice crystals under your skin." she says matter of factly with that frown. "At least my 'feeding'." she says.
She does look down. "Ugh."
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
"...it is your choice what you /do/ with it, now that you have it. If I said something that upset you, it was not on purpose. Though the feeling of ice under your skin... is... not a fun thought. Either way, Miss Lacrima, I am not trying to talk badly to you. I should go. This does not seem to be going anywhere and I imagine you were here for a reason. But there are choices for you, now. And what you do with those choices does matter."
Eilam attempts to offer a smile towards Lacrima only to turn and start to walk off. Seems he was going to rather simply leave, unless she stopped him for whatever reason. "Maybe try wearing brighter colors. I have found wearing bright colors improves my mood."
- Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima frowns. "Wait...." she says.
"Look...I'm just. Like this." she says with a sigh. "..and I've had a lot of trouble recently and stuff.....I didn't used to be..." she mutters.
"Where do you live...?" she asks. "I can come visit later... it isn't hard for me to get anywhere, I travel through the Dusk Zone.. so it's just a couple minutes for me to get anywhere." she says gently.
She frowns. "I dunno. Bright colors seem wrong..." she says to herself softly, more than Eilam.
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
That got a nod out of Eilam as he turned, smiling. "I know. I was not attempting to judge you. If it came off that way, it certainly was not my intent. The business card I offered you? It has my address. I live in a small manor just outside Tokyo. You are welcome to visit anytime, if I am there or not. I actually go to Infinity University to pass the time and alieviate my boredom, so you are always welcome there as well, Miss Lacrima. But please, do try bright colors at least once, hm? You have nothing to lose. That is the thing about immortality. Why not! It is kind of why I wear these bright colors. Well, not this specific outfit, but it is why I like bright colors. Lifts the mood. Life is what you make of it. Your world, your life."
Though he did pause to ask, "But now I am curious, Dusk Zone?"
- Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima purses her lips. She frowns... her clothes were... kind of like her now. Just 'part of her'-- she could shift them, change them. She made token effort to throw clean clothes in a basket to make it look like she was 'wearing clothes', at least to her family.
"The Duzk Zone." she says matter of factly. "Um. It's like. The buffer. Of this world. Like."
"Like I'm pretty sure it's what horror authors write about when they talk about 'beyond the viel of reality'. Things live there... monsters." a pause. "Not persons. Monsters. Snarling... feral monsters. Many eyes.. tentacles.. things like that." she says softly.
"People like me attuend to dark energy can travel there with it." she says. "--as far as I can figure out." she says.
"---and can place ourselves somewhere else from it."
"I don't suggest going unless you're 'attuned'. The monsters there are drawn to the light and want to snuff it out." she says.
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
"Drawn to the light... well, I suppose that is good then that I'm not some anime magical girl or something, right? Haha. I wonder if I even have any light left in me after being around so long. Then again, I have no interest in experiencing something like that. ...will have to keep that in mind." Though now that Eilam was stopped from leaving, he moved back towards Lacrima and leaned against the back of the pew she was on, next to her. "So, were you wanting to talk more? Do something? You stopped me from leaving, so you must at least have something on your mind. I cannot imagine it is my looks that got you to reach out, so what about it?"
He still had that soft smile about him, close again, if she could smell it, the strawberry and fruit smell that accompanied his cologne and shampoo.
- Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima frowns heavily as she hrmphs. "You're alive. Aren't you? Not undead? You're the light." she says matter of factly. She sighs a bit and just looks down. "Huh? No. I just." she sighs a bit.
"This is my alone spot, you know?" she says softly. "And not many people 'talk' to me. Many just... kind to attack me or 'end me' or purify me..." she says softly.
"I can only think of a handful of others who 'talk' to me... and some talk to me-- but attack me if they catch me draining." she says.
"That's how it used to be with that guy who's trying to kill me. He used to talk to me a lot..." she says softly. "Until the friend went into the coma..."
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
Eilam laughs a bit at her tone and choice of remark, "Right, right, I am quite alive. But you have to recall I know nothing of this magic stuff. It was only a week ago I even realized it 'was' magic. I did not know what my state was before that beyond immortal and unkillable. So I suppose there is that." She started to remark again about others trying to purify or end her. While she was busy looking down, Eilam moved a bit and leaned over the back of the pew again to actually hug around her gently, arms around her shoulders, "I know you can take care of yourself, but if you keep talking about all these people wanting to hurt you, you are going to make me want to act on my own to keep you safe even more. Though if he is acting like that, I cannot imagine he was even a friend to begin with. He should have some sense of your condition to think about. Is your friend taken care of? I can try and put some of my resources towards having her taken better care of if you like. I mean, she is still your friend after all."
- Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana purses her lips and is hugged, from behind. Her body's still cold. She just sort of hangs there. She doesn't respond to physical contact like one expects. Maybe she doesn't like it? Maybe she just doesn't care. Maybe her emotions are too screwed to remember how to reciprocate.
She frowns a bit. "People are going to attack me no matter what." she says. "It isn't /nice/ what I do. I get that. I hunt humans. I drain them." she says flatly.
She shakes her head. "Someone helps me. Riventon-san. He made this for me..." she lift her left hand and shows off a bangle there. Etched with Midchildian runes, but some other more arcane-like ones that aren't like the others.
"It's an inhibitor. Stops me from using so much power when I try to 'be myself'..." she says softly.
"Norie. That's my name. Before all this happened." she says matter of factly. "It lets me be 'Norie' longer." she says.
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
"Norie. That's a nice name, I like it." Eilam himself was simply being friendly, and in his own way attempting to be comforting. While it might come off as him pushing his luck or trying other such, in reality he wasn't really doing that. Norie's condition, her reactions, responses... well, it did worry him a little. As long as he'd been around, he'd come to expect certain things from others. Emotions, responses... Norie, though, just kind of ignored those rules. The responses she gave caught him by surprise at points. She just kind of seemed depressed.
"Hey... I will ask this. Please do not starve yourself, okay? Whatever the circumstances, keeping yourself healthy, even /if/ you are a vampire, should come first. I have tried that before, letting myself waste away while trying to stay away from others. Just... exist, not be around anyone, not put them in danger. In the end I found life much better when I controlled things by actively staying on top, and acting with confidence. All in all, you are still the center of your world. Even if you do not come to like my suggestions, at least give my advice a try at some point? Not like it can hurt. And if it works, all the better, right?"
- Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana frowns and just wraps her arms around herself. "I don't starve myself. Not anymore. I used to starve myself. Not anymore." she repeats again as she sighs and shakes her head a bit. "I don't 'die' when I don't feed, but I become something terrible and feral and snarling and feed until I get coherency back as far as I can understand." she mutters.
She sighs and begins to slowly slide up to her feet. Her dress falls back into place.
"I should. Probably. Get going Eilam. People will wonder where I've been and-- my parents go straight to calling the police if I don't check in." she grimaces. "Nowadays. So."
She just shakes her head with a sigh.
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
"Would you like me to accompany you back home? Even young vampires shouldn't be wandering the streets alone at night." he teases, "Plus, with your current mood, it's probably not a good thing to just... go through this dusk zone. Can't make it any better. I have my driver waiting outside for me. Please?" Eilam raises up as well, though he does offer a hand towards Norie, palm up, "Maybe they will relax a bit if they think you have good influences." That gets a small laugh out of him, though he did remain standing there, hand out for her.
Of course, she could easily tell him where to stuff it, or likely just vanish on her own, but he was trying to be helpful in his own way. Helpful, at least, in what ways he could. "I will even let you have my seat in the car if you like."
- Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima purses her lips and frowns... she seems to frown a lot. Even when she isn't sad or upset. Like it's her neutral face nowadays. She'd intended to just traipse through the Dusk Zone back home. It's been a while, since she's been in a car.
"Um...."
"...I guess a car couldn't hurt..." she says as she squints a bit and then there's a wash of magic overhere-- a soft purple aura of sorts- deep and violet in color.
She shifts into her Norie disguise--- shorter black hair, rather than Lacrima's long and purple, blue eyes-- not those weird stark purple. A simple floral-patterned blouse, with some colors-- her normal shirt. A simple red skirt. Just 'normalish'.
"This'll probably be better. For public and if you're taking me home." she says politely.
She begins to walk past Eilam toward's the door and stops and looks over her shoulder... "Well...?" she asks as she continues her way out the door. Most likely to wait for Eilam to exit and deal with the car.
- Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
All in all, watching her transformation, and her choice of response in stepping ahead of him, it seemed like a good response. Eilam started his walk back towards the front of the church, now the one being invited to come along, grabbing his stave on the way out. Outside the church in the driveway up to it there was his towncar, driver currently sitting inside the car itself, already turned on and waiting. And much to his word, she would find herself taken back home, or to wherever she wanted dropped off and allowed on her way! Though Eilam did add his cell phone number to the business card he'd offered her, with his address among other such on it, so she can contact him if the need rises. And a little fanged smiley face with 'call me for dinner sometime' written beneath, just to tease her a bit more. Because why not, it amused him.
