Synopsis: Madoka brings a pretty to Momo! Momo almost cries! Madoka almost cries... Dog is Dog! All in all, a yay scene!
Cast of Characters: Madoka Kaname, Momo Sakura

Madoka Kaname has posed:
It's another hot summer afternoon with things chugging along in Tokyo as they normally are, save that for perhaps the second time in a year there is no looming threat of global annihilation. Which to people who are aware of such things means stresses on that particular front are low! Unfortunately on the Puella front there is still a very real Grief Seed famine going on and thus very real worries.

But that doesn't mean a good time can't, or shouldn't be had! Especially for people who have had little time, reason, or ability to experience such things. There's a new Puella in town that Madoka Kaname hasn't had a chance to properly meet that so far as she knows underwent a horrible traumatic experience, died, and then came back to life through some mix of Moon Miracle Magic and Kyubey, and while that in itself is a disturbing thought there's no reason for her to hold it against the girl herself.

In fact the fact she's attempting to break out of a perpetual cycle of victimization is a perfect reason for Madoka not to hold it against her, as well triggering her deeply rooted protective instincts. It also doesn't hurt that Momo Sakura is somewhere between eight and thirteen years old, depending on how you count.

And thus she's making her way to Kyouko's apartment where she's guessing she can either find Momo herself or directions to her, unless the elder Sakura sister is in an unfriendly or untrustworthy mood. In her arms she carries a rectangular box, dark red in color with thin bright red ribbon wrapped about it to keep it shut, obvious the world around as the kind often used at clothing stores. There is a little bit of trepidation on her mind, but having heard nothing bad at all about Momo from Homura she doesn't expect this attempted gift and peace offering to be a mistake; knowing Kyouko and her views on 'accepting charity' this could be a great miscalculation, but Madoka is an optimist by nature and mentally waves away any such concerns.

You have to offer the olive branch in the first place, after all.

In truth though this isn't so much a peace offering as Madoka's personal empathy at the strife and difficulty of others getting the better of her. If Momo Sakura really is back from the dead after having lived poor and hungry only to search for her sister while living on the streets Madoka can't help but feel deep sympathy for her, and putting smiles on the faces of people who don't deserve near the suffering that's been heaped upon them is one of the things she strives towards and makes her the happiest.

Which is why she's now standing outside the door to Kyouko's apartment, nervously hesitating for a short moment before reaching over and knocking on the door. Quietly at first, then a bit louder if that isn't heard, and then looking for a doorbell if that fails!
Momo Sakura has posed:
Momo is both slowly cleaning and melting.

Windows are all open, fans are going, but it's not yet at the point of 'evaporation' that would have her turn on the window AC.

Besides, there's a bunch of ice cubes and a lot of water! And that helps! (And add in a spray bottle!)

When the door knocks, she looks up from the grout she's been working on in the kitchen. It's one of her self-imposed weekly chores!

She gets up, peels off the gloves and washes her hands before picking up her glass of water. Which, miraculously, still has ice cubes in it!

Dog climbs in through the window, having done his potty business and heard the door, and stares at the door as Momo goes to answer it.

She's about to tell the person 'sorry no solicitors' because that's what she's been told to say, but pauses mid word. "Oh! Hi! Maaaa..............doka-chan, right?" A wince! What if she's wrong!

Dog worms his head between Momo's thigh and the door to sniff at this new person.

But oh noes! Wait!

Momo looks at Madoka with laaaarge eyes. "Are you here to yell at us? Kyou-nee got stabbed so so so so our lesson is learned! Oh! Wait! Come on in, sorry!"

She stands aside like a good hostess! "It's hot as dirt, but we got lots of ice and water if you want some!"
Madoka Kaname has posed:
Madoka smiles brightly as the door is opened for her, nervousness evaporating. "Hello!" The wince is noticed and the smile widens just a little, "You got it! Madoka Kaname. And you're Momo-chan, right?" Because she could be wrong, too!

When the doggy goes to sniff at her Madoka shifts the package she's carrying over to her left arm, reaching out and holding the back of her right hand out to his nose so he can pick up her sent in proper human canine introductions. Her pink eyes go to Momo, "Would he mind if I petted him?" If the answer is no Dog is given many a pat-pat-pat and head rubs!

Madoka visibly flinches when she hears Kyouko got stabbed. Not that she doesn't expect Kyouko to survive a simple stabbing, but that doesn't make it a good thing! "Oh no! Is she alright? Did she recover quickly?" Much fretting, "Were you able to get help with the healing?" It's only then that she realizes the question that was asked of her. "Oh! Um, no, I'm not here to yell at you. I wasn't going to take sides... but that means I'm not taking sides against you either."

Madoka steps inside when invited in, taking a quick peek around. She wasn't going to say anything about the lack of AC until the ice water is offered, "That would be wonderful, thank you!" A beaming smile to the young hostess. "Actually, I'm here because I wanted to invite you to a charity event I'm throwing. Fancy parties is something we do from time to time, and I thought it'd be nice to give you a chance to attend." Madoka closes her eyes as she smiles to Momo, "You might be new in town, but you're one of us now so I couldn't think of any reasons not to include you."

The box is set down on whatever flat surface that isn't the floor is available, and Madoka makes a small motion to it. "This is for you if you want it."

She can't quite hide the excitement on her eyes and smile.
Momo Sakura has posed:
Momo nods! "Yup, that's me!"

Momo looks down at the dog for a moment. "Well, Dog doesn't look cranky. So sure! He'll let you know if he doesn't!" Dog, of course, accepts the pets with a wag of the tail and the panting of his tongue! Plus, there is a hand lick as well!

"Careful," Momo whispers. "Your hand's gonna smell like Dog breath all day now."

Once the human-dog ritual is complete, Dog trots toward the kitchen and the sound of water being lapped up can be heard.

There is a slump of relief! "She's good! There was a guy with purple hair. Daisuke? He healed her all up! And me, too." A nod. "I got poked in the arm."

Momo scurries to get her guest some water! Plonk, plonk, go the ice cubes! And some for Dog! And some more ice for herself!

The apartment is small, but tidy. The only clutter about are a couple library books and cleaning supplies. Momo is currently reading Harry Potter!

"Kyou-nee's in her room. I think she's trying to get it back to liveably cluttered after I attacked it yesterday." She carrrrrefully brings the water to Madoka!

The nearest non-floor flat surface is probably the small coffee table.

Her eyes widen! "A party? A fancy party? I've never been to one of those!" The only parties she's ever been to were church hosted!

She brightens! "You brought me a box! Yay!" She is legit excited about being given a box. "You hear that, Kyou-nee?! This box is mine, you can't peek in it when I put stuff in it!!"

She eagerly plops down to more closely examine the box! Off goes the lid and...

Tissue paper?

Wait.

Ginger fingers pick up sleeves of...a dress. A...very pretty, very grown up, very nice dress.

She sits very, very still and just stares at it with wide eyes in case it disappears. And her cheeks are very pink!
Madoka Kaname has posed:
Dog is given his pets and ruffles and Madoka giggles when her hand is licked. Will it smell like dog breath? "I'll make sure not to smell it too much..!" She stage whispers back to Momo.

Much relief also shows on her face as she's told Daisuke was able to heal Momo and Kyouko, "That's good. It's so nice that we have friends we can count on at a time like this. I don't know Daisuke-san very well, but I'll have to thank him when I see him." Momo got poked in the arm? "Aww, I hope it wasn't too bad. But you seemed pretty capable from what little I saw!" Which wasn't much but who could possibly have missed those attacks of Momo's?

Ice water is happily accepted and a drink of it is taken right away, "Mm! Thank you, that's so much better!" She's not just saying that to either; ice water on a hot day is a godsend. Kyouko is in her room? Madoka sends a look towards... various potential closed doors, only to giggle at 'liveably cluttered'. It reminds her of Homura's room, when she first saw it.

Momo's wide eyes and words only cause the excited tension to build in her when she replies about the party. "Yep! A very fancy one. But don't worry, I'm sure you'll fit in just fine. There are some people who might be cold, or jerks, but just ignore them. Or tell me and I'll make them feel very bad about it!" Woe is the attendee who has Madoka glowering at them for hurting someone's feelings!

That Momo likes the box itself draws another giggle out of Madoka, who is doing her best to stand still as she watches her open it. It reminds her a lot of Tatsuya, in a way; she doesn't know what it's like to have a little sister, but she does know what it's like to be an older sister! ...though admittedly not an older sister to a technical teenager.

The cheongsam is retrieved from the box and Madoka watches Momo's expression. For a brief moment she's worried but soon notices the pink cheeks and walks over. "I hope you like it. I wasn't sure what style you'd prefer, but I thought I couldn't possibly go wrong with something like this; you should look so super cute that even Kyouko-neesan blushes when she sees you." On a more practical note she adds, "It might not fit perfectly, but it should be fairly close. If not I can tell you where I got it and they'll alter it without charge."

Finally she adds with a bright smile, "See? You'll fit in perfectly at even the fanciest party wearing this."
Momo Sakura has posed:
This gets a shy smile from Momo! "Yeah?" Awww, shucks! "It wasn't too bad. I almost forgot about it until Kyou-nee told reminded me! Then it hurt."

Momo listens as Madoka talks about Very Fancy and potentially mean people! She'll make sure to tell on them! But there's one very important question she must ask! "Do I gotta hold up my pinky when I drink something?"

Madoka's words about fitting and such finally causes Momo to move! "Should I try it on now? Should I shower first? But me? For me?" Madoka gets a glomp and a hug!!!
Madoka Kaname has posed:
"That means you're a focused combatant! That can be a good thing, but don't go getting too hurt without noticing it." This is said in a light tone, punctuated by a wink from the pink-haired girl.

Her smile is wide and bright and she only baaaarely keeps from giggling as Momo asks about the manners of formal drinking. "I don't," she says with a shake of her head, "I think it's something rich and fancy people do, but I never did it growing up so I'm afraid I'd do it wrong!"

Madoka is surprised when Momo suddenly jumps at and hugs her. Luckily her friendly reflexes are up to date and she quickly returns the hug, giving Momo a tight squeeze before letting her go. "Yes, for you! You're going to look beautiful, I know it." Should she try it on? Hmm. "Before the party, definitely." A slowly widening smile, "I can't blame you if you want to go try it on now. So... yes! You can take a shower if you want to, but just a quick little wash with a cloth should be fine if you took one today already."

Momo is given another wink, "It really depends on how long you want to 'try it on' for."

Down at the bottom of the box there are two 'tickets' to the charity ball itself with it's location and address on them. The ball doesn't have a fee to enter, and instead they state that a donation has already been made in honor of the guest holding it. Thusly Momo and whomever she decides to take will not get publicly shamed at the door for not doing so in person!
Momo Sakura has posed:
Momo grins! "I won't! I'm pretty sure Kyou-nee will get kinda grumpy at me if I go and do that!"

Then she visibly relaxes and wipes imaginary Worry Sweat from her brow! "Phew! Because if I do that, I won't be concentrating on not spilling!"

Eee! For her! "Thank you so much!" And then she waffles for a moment while Madoka talks. And then looks up, a taaaad bit guilty. "I guess wearing it until the party wouldn't do, huh." A sly, one-fanged grin! Kyouko would be proud!

She wiggles a bit! Then dashes to the bathroom!

A quick scrub of important bits! Sniff test! Then she's caaaarefully shimmying into it! Or trying to! Finally, success, but it won't zip!

Instead of trying to force it, she walks back out with shoulders hunched and arms spread so it won't fall. "It's so pretty! But can you help with the zippy part?"
Madoka Kaname has posed:
"That wouldn't be good at all," Madoka agrees in a serious tone. Both because of what grumpy Kyouko might entail and because Madoka knows what it's like to worry about injured loved ones, even Puella.

"Definitely concentrate on the not spilling part. A word of advice? If they give you one of the tall glasses don't hold it by the stem. Some people do that to try and make themselves look fancy but I've always been too clumsy for it." With a giggle she adds, "I'm not sure anyone even cares, either!"

Madoka gives Momo a quick headshake, "Not if that meant you had to sleep in it. You might want it to be free of wrinkles, too." Rather than simply telling Momo what to do she's trying to give her advice and let her come to her own conclusions, though the advice does clearly imply her own suggestions. "You're welcome!" she calls after the young Puella as she rushes off to go change.

She's just finishing up her glass of ice water when Momo returns. It is quickly set down on the small coffee table, on a coaster if one is availabe, and she rushes over, "Oh, right. Sorry! Those really do need a second set of hands, don't they?" Madoka slips around behind Momo and helps tug the two halves together, gently tugging up on the zipper afterwards and going from there. There is the chance she simply got a size to small so she is careful as she tries to help zip the dress up, but she also knows sometimes zippers can simply be stubborn!

Luckily Madoka has enough experience with nice dresses to be able to tell the difference, so with any luck she'll get the job done even if it takes a bit of squeezing on Momo's part. If not? It's a good thing she paid a bit extra for the potential future tailoring!
Momo Sakura has posed:
"Nope!" This is said with a happy chirp. "I think we have a sort of agreement. I don't get seriously maimed, neither does she! Totally win-win."

Her eyes widen at Madoka! She can learn a lot from her! "If I forget will you remind me? Or if I embarrass people, will you let me know?"

Momo breathes out and holds her breath while the dress is zipped! It does go up but isn't too tight!

She feels very over dressed, but also very pretty!

She turns around and tugs at the bottom hem a little. "Does it look okay?"

Shy Momo is shy!
Madoka Kaname has posed:
Madoka lets out a soft, "Ohh," and then nods in appreciation, "That's a good agreement. Maybe I should think about making one like that with Homura-chan?" An official one, anyway.

Yet more nods come from Madoka, these of the friendly variety, "I will! I'll try to do it before you embarrass people too, if I notice. But you're going to be a guest there, so worry mostly about trying to have fun, okay?" She tilts her head a little and smiles, "If you spend so much time worrying that you forget to have fun it misses the point of going in the first place."

Madoka is very relieved when the dress fits. She has a decent eye for it after spending so much time trying them on herself and looking for ones that would fit Homura, but getting clothes for someone whose sizes you're not sure of is always risky.

Momo certainly looks very pretty, and Madoka has the urge to giggle and hug her and tell her she's beautiful. But..! She actually doesn't Momo all that well, and she knows what it's like to be overwhelmed by relative strangers. So instead she holds her hands behind herself and nods while giving her a sweeter, quieter smile, "You look very pretty, Momo-chan. I'm sure your sister will think so, too. More importantly, how do you think you look; why don't you go check in the mirror now that it's on?"
Momo Sakura has posed:
Momo nods! "It definitely makes me less nervous!"

Then she's sighing in relief! "Oh phew! Good, thank you! And I will! Have fun! Even if I just stand in one place bouncing in a corner! But I'll try not to do that, honest!"

She does have one concern, though! "I know he can't go in, but Dog may follow me to make sure I'm okay. He doesn't have rabies even if I tell everyone he does! So is it okay if he stays outside the place?" Large Momo Eyes!

Her cheeks turn pink at being called pretty! Then she's rushing into the bathroom again! When she comes back out her eyes are wide! "I don't look eight!"
Madoka Kaname has posed:
"Okay! But you should at least try to meet a few people while you're there; I'm sure you can find at least one person you enjoy spending time with." Something else occurs to her that maybe should have earlier. "Oh! There will be catering too, and you can eat as much of you like. You might want to bring some stomach ache medicine if you plan on going wild on it, though." Another thing comes to mind, "Ah; and don't drink any of the bubbly stuff the waiters will be serving without asking your sister about it first. Eheheh..." Madoka would feel pretty bad if Kyouko was trying to shield Momo from things like that and she had forgotten to warn her away from alcohol!

The question of Dog is actually a fairly legitimate concern, and Madoka frowns. The answer is probably 'no', but she's trying to work her mind around it. "Well... I don't mind personally, but it's going to be the Hotel itself that makes the rules about that. I guess the answer to you question is whether or not he can keep out of sight and whether he'll pester people walking in."

Madoka holds her giggle at Momo's blushing until she's rushing in to check herself in the mirror. When she's back Madoka shakes her head, sending her twintails bouncing back and forth, "No, you don't!" Pause, "Oh! Um, should I have gotten you something a little less adult? I did kind of assume you'd want something a little more mature." She looks worried she might have made a faux pas!
Momo Sakura has posed:
Momo hums! "Well, I do like the people I've met so far! At least magic type people!" Uh oh! Worried hands! "Will there be other magic types there? Do I gotsta not talk about it?"

But oh! The magic words! Food! Her eyes grow larger than her stomach! "But...what if I eat it all?!" This is a legitimate concern! She's a Sakura, after all! But then she blinks! "Is the bubbly stuff soda? But I wanna try soda!"

Momo looks over at Dog and hrms. "Well, he's usually pretty happy just napping outside of wherever. He's only tried to bite people who've tried to kick him or me. So if they don't, he won't. But if they try to pet him and he lets them, but then they kick him, he may try to bite them, then."

She perks up a bit! "If you get a chance and it's okay if you don't, if you ask, I can give you my number so you can let me know! I can tell him he can't follow us then!" Whether or not he'd listen...

Momo gasps and practically clutches the dress to herself, as if a little afraid the dress will get snatched away! So actually, she's clutching herself to herself. "No I love it! It's just..."

Her eyes aren't stinging, Madoka, yours are! "I sometimes still feel like I'm eight. This dress doesn't make me feel that way."
Madoka Kaname has posed:
A quick nod of her head, "There will be other magic people there but no, you shouldn't talk about it. Everyone else either won't know what you're saying or will think you're making things up." Madoka smiles warmly, "Don't worry, though, if you've met people you like you might see them there. If you do go say hi!"

Madoka then gives the usual advice, "Try to leave some for everybody else! You can eat a lot, but don't eat it all." She looks like she's about to laugh some more as she says it, even if the threat of the Momo Stomach Void is real! Then a quick shake of her head, "No, it's not soda. It's Champaign; a kind of fizzy wine, I think?" Her head shakes again and she makes a dismissive hand gesture, "I'm not going to have any, myself."

A slightly horrified expression shows on Madoka's face, "Pet him and then kick him? Why would anyone kick him in the first place? I don't think anyone will do anything like that!" Especially not when there will be cameras around, but Madoka's outrage is more moral than practical. She calms for a moment and then smiles, "That's a great idea." Her phone is quickly pulled from her pocket and she offers Momo her phone number as well. She really has been bad about trading contact info, this is a good first step towards getting into the habit!

Madoka feels slightly bad when Momo grasps at the dress. One can almost feel her heart strings being tugged and played upon as Momo defends her pretty new dress and explains herself. "Aww... well it's all yours so I'm glad you like it so much."

After a moment of indecision she steps forward and offers Momo another hug, "You're right, you don't look like you're eight at all, you look like a beautiful young lady." A thought occurs to her and she giggles, "You might even have to worry about people flirting with you! Most pretty girls do, so be ready."
Momo Sakura has posed:
A serious nod! "Okay! No magic talks!" She leans forward, though. "If I slip, it's okay to say I'm crazy, because I aaaaaaam." Another serious nod! Then she bounces! "Do I getta say hi to you and Homura-chan?!" Yay!

A mild sulk! "I'll try my hardest, I promise!" Then she gasps! "I've never had fizzy wine before! I wonder if Kyou-nee would let me try..." If not at the ball, maybe later!

Momo's nodding. "Yes. People are mean." People is said with a capital 'P.' "People were mean to Dog before I met him, and People were mean to me a bit, too. But I was a good Person to Dog, so he lets me hang around him." This makes perfect sense to Momo, by the way.

Yay contact info exchange! Hopefully Madoka doesn't notice that Momo's phone is about six years old!

Wait! "It's mine forever?!" For some reason she thought it was a Ball Thing Only sort of thing! But forever?! "Golly!"

She's looking down at herself when the subject of flirting comes up! "You mean by like...boys?!" But wait, Kyou-nee has a girlfriend! "And maybe girls?!" Oh goodness dear! "How does someone handle that!"
Madoka Kaname has posed:
"Of course you can! I'd be happy to see you there and talk to you, or else I wouldn't have made sure you could come." Madoka blinks and tilts her head when Momo declares herself crazy. When she declares it so openly how can she disbelieve it? But then the question isn't if she's crazy, but how crazy. Somehow she thinks she'll find out, eventually.

"Eheh, like I said, ask your sister before you do. The waiters might look at you funny but I'm not sure they'd actually stop you if you got your hands on some." High society does tend to have different social rules than everyone else. They might take Momo for being too rich to have to abide by the usual drinking laws. Which is rather amusing, now that she thinks about it.

Madoka makes a face. It's a perturbed face somewhere between disappointed and upset, but it isn't directed at Momo. "I don't understand how people can be so cruel to the unfortunate. Well, you don't have to worry about any of that from me. I'd never try to kick you, or Dog."

It's hard for a teenager not to notice how up to date, or not, a phone is, but it isn't something Madoka is going to begrudge her. After all with what Madoka knows about Kyouko she'd be far more apt to make sure Momo was eating well than make sure she had a shiny new phone, and it's not something Madoka can disagree with. Madoka has never had to deal with being poor but she's nice enough not to be judgmental about people that are. Then again there's very little that Madoka actually is judgmental about.

Madoka smiles brightly to Momo, "Yes! Boys and girls." How to handle it? Hmm. Good question. "Well... first you have to decide if you like them or not, and try to figure out if they're very interested in you or just trying to have fun." Which is it's whole own can of worms, but she doesn't go into that! "It's usually fine to play along a little, but it's mean to do it for too long if you're not really interested. Dancing with someone once or twice is always fine-- but sometimes people want to dance with you just to have fun as friends, too."

Madoka starts to look a little lost as she keeps talking. Wow, this is confusing! If it were possible she suddenly has even more respect for her mother, who explained things to her so well!

"Mostly just be ready for people to tell you you're pretty and maybe that they like you because of how pretty you are. It shouldn't be too much of an issue at a ball like this since they'll probably just ask you to dance, but afterwards you need to start thinking about how much you like spending time with them, and whether or not you think their reasons for wanting to spend time with you romantically are good ones." Okay maybe she's getting a bit too far ahead of herself, Momo asked for dealing with flirting, not general relationship advice! "A-anyway, if a cute boy or girl asks you to dance don't feel like you have to, but go ahead and dance if you want to, okay? You always have a choice."

And then, just because things can get Confusing she adds, "You don't worry about me, though, I'm not flirting with you when I tell you your pretty or if I ask you to dance. I have Homura-chan," blush and bright, sparkly eyes, "and I just want to be your friend." A short, "Though I do want to be your friend!"
Momo Sakura has posed:
Momo gives a little yay! "Yay!" She'll feel much better saying hi to someone she knows!

And Momo isn't...run around nekkid and smear questionable substances on the wall crazy. It's more a 'sometimes I say things that have people doing a double take at me' crazy. Which actually works out, because if she talks about magical girl stuff to muggles, there's a built in alibi!

(Yay Harry Potter! She now gets the term Muggles!)

Momo nods! "Ask Kyou-nee if I can have bubbly not-soda! Right!"

And then there are stars in her eyes! "Thank you! I don't like being kicked by people. It hurts me in the chest, even if the kick is on my shin!"

If asked, Momo would very much agree! Food is more important than a top of the line phone. And Kyouko is very cuddly toward Momo! (Well, as cuddly as Kyouko gets!) Which is also more important than a fancy new phone!

Momo's listening more! "But what if I don't know if I like boys or girls?" Until recently she was convinced that non-heterosexual pairings spontaneously combusted on the spot! "If I get too confused and Kyou-nee is somewhere else, can I ask you?"

And then her smile grows large and happy and eeee! "You and Homura-chan? Eeeeeeeeee!" She sees it! They're cute! "And I didn't think you were don't worry!
Madoka Kaname has posed:
Running around smearing things on the walls isn't necessarily crazy... if you're a toddler. Madoka knows because her little brother was one not too long ago!

When Momo says it hurts her in the chest when she's kicked in the leg it puts a pained expression on Madoka's face as if she was just kicked in the leg and felt it in her chest. In reality the kick was, in fact, directly to the feels! "That's horrible," she says in a quiet voice. "You should never have had to feel something like that. I'm sorry about that. I wish I could have done something to spare you that pain." For a moment Momo gets to see heartfelt and earnest Madoka giving her a sympathetic look.

Oh wow, the tough questions only get tougher! "Well... to be honest with you until I met Homura-chan I didn't have any interest in girls. I knew that there were girls that liked other girls, but I never thought I was one of them. But I did know that I got along with Homura-chan very well, and that I loved her and cared about her very much as a friend, so when she told me she liked me romantically too I tried to be open minded."

Now Madoka is blushing brightly, "That, um, might have been one of the best choices I ever made! Homura-chan is the right person for me, and I'm the right person for her." Her head tilts a little to the side, "I don't think whether or not we're both girls has anything to do with it at all, really." Though it does have it's benefits! Just like boys have their own... but she's not going into that with Momo.

Why did she just spill her own romantic guts to the thirteen year old she just met? "You can ask me if you like, but the real person who has to make decisions like that is right here," Madoka lifts her hand and points gently towards Momo. "You're the only one who gets to decide who you like." A soft smile, "And sometimes? Sometimes your heart chooses for you."

Madoka is seriously very glad she has staved off and confirmed any worries Kyouko might get the impression she was hitting on her little sister. That would be such a terrifying situation she doesn't even want to think about it!
Momo Sakura has posed:
Momo is very quick to reassure! "No, no, it's okay! I had Dog to cuddle! And he'd bite people! That's why I tell people he has rabies!" So, you know, they'd leave her alone and not kick her! Or Dog!

Now Momo is even more interested! "Ohhhh...! So it doesn't have to be boy or girl, you can just like the person for who the person is?"

Wow! More possibilities!

But then Momo is making a face. "The only thing my heart's ever told me is 'trust Kyou-nee.' Even when Father didn't, that's what it said. So I think my heart's pretty smart. Because Kyou-nee's a billion times better than Father." A sharp nod! And if Madoka knows what happened to the rest of the Sakura family, all the more heartache to her!

She looks back up at Madoka! "Can...can you tell Homura-chan thank you for me? For when we first met? And that I'm sorry I got cranky during the Takashi Fight Thing at her? I just get weird when people fight."

And then she looks down at the dress. "I...really get to keep this? Forever and ever?"
Madoka Kaname has posed:
Momo's reassurance doesn't work as completely as she might have hoped, though it does make Madoka happy she had someone to help look after her. This is a topic that will probably end in Madoka crying on the poor girl if it keeps up though; she might even end up feeling worse for Momo than Momo feels for herself!

Madoka giggles a little and nods, "Yes! Though some people are only attracted to one gender or the other." She hums softly and considers, "People have all kinds of preferences about what kind of person they want to be romantic with, but I don't think it's fair to judge them either way, whether it's very open and broad or very narrow. Everyone has a right to decide for themselves." She gives a quick nod and then looks to Momo, "Does that makes sense?"

Madoka almost winces when Momo mentions her father. Kyouko has never told her the story, Momo has never told her the story, and Homura has only told her pieces of it. But Kyouko had, in times now undone, told Homura the whole story, and Madoka has a great number of Homura's memories that concerned her grief and despair, and Kyouko was definitely included in those. "Your heart does sound very smart. I think you can trust it. I can't imagine Kyouko-san would ever do anything to hurt you on purpose."

On to happier topics, "I'll make sure to tell her for you, Momo-chan. I don't think she holds your crankiness against you, but I'll make sure she knows you're sorry anyway. Things do get heated and crazy in fights, especially against other magical people."

When Momo looks down at the dress Madoka smiles to her, "You get to keep it for as long as you like, because it's yours now. I'm really happy you seem to like it so much; I was hoping you would. A pretty girl like you should have something to wear that makes her look her best, right?" The pink-haired girl gives Momo a bright smile.

A moment later and she peeks at her phone, only to hold her hands together and bow. "Thanks for talking with me, Momo-chan. It means a lot that you'd trust me when I haven't given you much of a reason to up until now. I need to go get things ready for the party now though, if that's okay. It's surprising how much goes into these things!"
Momo Sakura has posed:
If Madoka cries, Momo would let her! And comfort her! Which...may not be what she's looking for!

Momo nods much at Madoka! "Oh yes! Papa told me..." She lowers her voice. "People who...well, when boys liked boys and girls like girls, and everything else, they got smited. But I'm glad he's wrong, because I never understood why."

And her smile is warm! "And I know Kyou-nee loves me. Even when she was hurty and tried to push me away! I was gonna pounce her soon, you betchya!"

Momo makes a noise of happiness! "Oh thank you! I hope she doesn't, but just in case she does!"

Momo hugs her dress! Even as she blushes again! "I'll wear it to lots of fancy things! Just you watch!"

And she's nodding! "Okay! I hope there's soda I can try! If not that's okay! Thank you so much again!"

Madoka finds herself a victim of another hug!
