We Could See

Synopsis:	Rei and Usagi talk about dating. Will they? Wont they?

Rei Hino has posed:
    Rei Hino and Usagi Tsukino are friends, right? They always have been, for as long as they've known each other. In this life and in the last. That, and duty, has mostly defined their relationship. Sure they fought sometimes, and sometimes it might have been heated, but it was never... hateful.

    Yet for some reason Rei is starting to question exactly how she feels about Usagi. Whatever happens, she wants to remain close to her. That, at least, she's sure of.

    Rei sits at a table at the crown, a pizza is laid out in front of her, with a few plates arranged around the table. Napkins are near the middle. She's sipping a cup of soda, propping her head up with her left arm.

    She's waiting for someone, clearly. Nothing unusual here. Just a casual meeting between friends, to hang out at one of their favorite places to go. That's all, right?

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Usagi, completely oblivious to Rei's inner avoidances, bursts into the Crown with all the exuberance contained within her short person. "Motoki-niiii~!" She's here to meet Rei for some fun girl time shenanigans or something, but she has assurances to make!

She drapes across the counter in front of her second favorite 'ice cream smoothie' pusher. (Daisuke's proven to be number one here.)

"I'm sorry I haven't been in, finals just about killed me. Uggggggg."

A couple more minutes of idle chatter and a congratulatory ice cream smoothie later and Usagi is sliding into the booth across from Rei. She's dressed for summer, shorts and sandals with a top she'd hid under an oversized t-shirt on the way out of the house. (The shirt is in her purse, wadded up and wrinkling even now. Mamoru may despair, it's one she's stolen - er, acquired - from him.)

Her inner turmoil and woe momentarily disappear when she notices the pizza, though! Her eyes grow wide and she gives an excited little clap and a happy little wiggle. Food! Bad for you, greasy, Americanized then adopted by Japan, food! Pizza!

Pf course, were she privvy to Rei's inner avoidance of thoughts, Usagi would be perplexed yet blushing all the while. Her experience with Ami coupled with Makoto's perplexity at the agreement held and the resulting relationship between Mamoru and Kunzite has left Usagi feeling certain, and contendedly so, that everything between all of her girls is platonic.

Which, of course, they totally are!

Right?

Rei Hino has posed:
    Rei's not avoiding anything! She'd call Usagi silly for thinking otherwise. Silly bunny. Rei's totally honest with herself at all times and has full and complete knowledge of her feelings. She's too cool for it to be otherwise.

    On a completely unrelated note, Usagi is being especially cute today. Talking cheerfully to Motoki, claiming her ice cream smoothie, and generally being herself. Rei watches this exchange from a distance, waiting for Usagi to notice her and come over.

    Rei herself is in a loose red blouse, black skirt, with a black purse hanging off of her shoulder. Nothing too fancy, just you know... something she put on today.

    Rei greets Usagi with a smile and a "Hey, Usa-chan. Want some pizza?"

    She takes a sip from her soda, pausing for a moment before asking, "So how were finals?"

    Rei hopes that this is not a sore subject.

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Pff, pff! Usagi would call Rei silly right back! She wouldn't be thinking Rei is avoiding things! That's crazy! After all, look at that shiny object right over there!

(And of course Usagi notices Rei soon as she comes in. She has a radar for her girls! ...well, she likes to think she does!)

Her eyes light up, though, and she takes a slice and puts a large chomp in it! "Thank you, Rei-chan!"

Chew, chew, chew!

After devouring about half the slice, she gives a woeful sigh at Rei. "You look so pretty in red. Jealousssssss~!"

It's true, of course! She's totally not using it as an excuse to avoid talking about finals!

Point-two-five seconds later, her head thunks down on the table. "I just passed. As in, like, two points the other way, I'd be repeating."

A long, mournful sigh!

And then she jerks right up! "What about you, Rei-chan?"

Rei Hino has posed:
    (It wouldn't really be surprising if Usagi did have a radar like that. Senshi perks!)

    Rei blushes just slightly as Usagi says that she looks pretty in red. "You think so?"

    It takes her a moment to realize that she should probably say more than that.

    "I mean... thanks! You're looking pretty today, too. I don't think you have to be too jealous of me."

    Usagi helps herself to the pizza, and Rei watches, at least for the first few bites. After a moment she decides to grab a piece for herself. Judging from the state of the pizza, she's had all of one slice before Usagi showed up, so this would be her second slice.

    Hearing that Usagi just barely passed... hm. Well. Rei's first instinct is to tell her to do better, but... for some reason that just isn't what she ends up saying.

    "Well, at least you passed. Good job, Usa-chan!"

    She's in mid bite when she's asked about her own grades, and she starts for a second before answering. The act of finishing off her bite gives her stalling time to think of an answer. "Oh, I did alright. Not like... Ami-chan alright, but at least I'm not worried about failing."

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
(She probably kind of does, she just doesn't know it yet!)

There is, of course, a pinkening of cheeks covered by a preening grin. "That's true! But there's still jealousy~!"

After all, she looks weird in red!

And Rei-chan's just pretty, anyway!

She blinks at the encouragement and lack of a reprimand. She chews on her pizza some more and swallows. Her smile is small but very pleased! "Thanks. I tried hard!"

And she did.

She wonders how dissapointed Mamoru and Ami will be with her.

Sigh.

Then she scoffs and waves her hand. "Ami-chan is smart in Ami-chan's way, Rei-chan is smart in Rei-chan's way." This isn't, of course, placating. It's something she honestly believes! "But luckyyyy."

She leans forward, and her pout's petulant and teasing both. "What's that liiiike? Not worrying about failingggg?"

Rei Hino has posed:
    Rei notices the blushing again, and for once notices her own blushing.

    "It is true. You're very pretty, Usagi-chan. You're a pretty pretty princess~."

    That last statement seems to have a bit of a tease to it.

    "I know you did, Usa-chan. It sounds like it was close, but passing is passing."

    Seriously she keeps opening her mouth to lecture but something else entirely just keeps coming out.

    Rei chuckles as she's told that she's smart in her own way. "Well, I'm not trying to compete with Ami-chan in grades, that's for sure."

    Then Usagi pouts at her, teasingly, and Rei this time actually does stick out her tongue. "It feels like consistent hard work, Usagi-chan."

    The hand propping Rei's head up moves to twirl a finger through her hair, absentmindedly.

    "Besides, there's always next time. You just have to keep studying."

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Usagi wrinkles her nose at Rei, the punk! And to keep up with the line of complimenting teasing, she sticks her own tongue out. "I know you are, but what am I~."

There's something a touch off about Rei today. Usagi can't quite put her finger on it!

"I think Mamo-chan and Ami-chan fill the quota for brains for all of Tokyo." She nods, serious face! "If there were too many people that smart, the moon would get colonized again, and there goes my summer home."

Not that she has a summer home there!

That would be nice, though!

Wait, no, stop day dreaming!

Just an time for an indignant gasp and another tongue sticking out! However, she can't really deny the fact that she'd been someone lax in her studying habits of late, so the offence isn't entirely genuine. She taps her chin in thought. "I wonder if the schools will start taking 'I save the world as a magical girl' as a good excuse to miss homework."

And of course, her attention is pulled to Rei's hair. She idly wonders if Rei could flip it as prettily as Homura.

"I know. But it seems like whenever I get something, another distaster strikes."

Rei Hino has posed:
    "You're a cute little bunny, Usagi-chan," says Rei, still in a teasing voice.

    The funny thing is, if the roles were reversed, Rei might spot it a lot more quickly. As it is, she's probably going to be kicking herself when she finally figures it out. Why didn't she notice sooner?

    Rei laughs out loud as Mamoru's and Ami's brains are discussed. "Yeah, the palace would be discovered and who knows what would happen then? Maybe they'd all start seeing youma or something."

    She doesn't blink at the mention of a summer home on the moon. For all she knows, Princess Serenity totally had a summer home somewhere.

    Rei shakes her head. "Yeah that one is right up there with 'Luna ate my homework'. I mean, sure, it's true, but getting them to believe it?"

    Rei is capable of some serious hairflips, but a hairflip contest between her and Homura will likely never happen. Because Reasons.

    "Yeah, that's the harsh thing isn't it? The constant interruptions don't make it easy."

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
There is, of course, a smug little preen at that. She is totally fine with being cute and adorable!

Usagi is, to some extent, away of her own feelings. But it's more in the intangible way that 'the stove is hot' without every having burned yourself on the eye.

Usagi woes! "No, if they find the palace, and dots are connected, Shingo will tease me forever about being an actual space cadet!" She blinks. "Okay, I was never a cadet. Not even sure that's a rank on the moon!"

And arm flap, then she sighs. And drowns her sorrows in ice cream goodness and another slice of pizza!

She rolls her eyes so hard they are in danger of plopping out and bouncing away. "I bet if I henshin in front of some people they still wouldn't believe it. Hrmph." And she holds up a finger for clarification. "And in my defence, I only used that excuse once."

Reasons being, of course, implosions of several realities, tears in the fabric of space and time, and other such things! Not to mention the breaking of fourth walls!

It's a more serious droop as she nods. "Yeah. But, on the plus side, I remember more of what I studied since the asteroid than I do the stuff before that. Progress, right?" She taps her chin in thought. "Though whether it's because Mamo-chan isn't evil or sick, or the break we've been having, I couldn't tell you."

Rei Hino has posed:
    Rei gets a little bit giddy at watching Usagi preen, smiling a little bit wider. Usagi is really cute when she tries to be, and also when she doesn't.

    The thought of Shingo calling his big sister a 'space cadet' appeals in some ways to Rei's sense of humor. She giggles as she rolls her eyes. "Well, no maybe not. What does that say about us? At least the moon is close by. What about Mercury or Jupiter?"

    She stares wide-eyed at Usagi mentioning using that excuse before. It takes her a second to remember that, yes, she actually did use that excuse. Rei shakes her head. "I am pretty sure they'd just pass out if you henshined in front of them, and then probably forget everything anyways, so you'd have to show them again. You could be caught in an endless loop if you aren't careful!."

    Rei thinks back to the asteroid, looking down at her pizza. "Yeah, since then things have been... relatively easy lately. Like, Ali and An came back, but at least they aren't trying to end the world. As far as I know."

    Rei starts finishing off the crust, pausing only to say, "Not needing to worry about him helps your studies a lot, I bet."

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
It's unknown whether Usagi would tease Rei about these thoughts, or blush until she imploded! Though perhaps both.

She taps her chin in thought. "I think it says that we'd still have safe places for awhile. Hmmm."

Yessss.

And then she's drooping. "Augh, no, I don't wanna live Groundhog Day. That's kinda what it'd be like, right? If you squint and tilt your head, right?"

There are some issues just beneath the surface in regards to what happened on the asteroid. New little seeds of fear. New little sprinkles of self doubt. But Usagi's good at hiding things like that, especially from herself. "Well. All I know is if another asteroid does show up while they're here, I'm suggesting we take care of it right away this time." A firm nod!

And then she's blushing and has that boyfriend-crazy little smile she gets. "Yeaaah." Then a touch of a sulk. "Though it also means he tricks me into studying more. The jerk."

Rei Hino has posed:
    If Rei gets teased too much she might be the one imploding from blushing! She'd be teasing Usagi right back the whole time, too!

    Safe places for a while. Rei giggles. "True. I wonder if there's stuff on other planets to be found. It'd be kind of neat to find a palace on Mars some day."

    Groundhog day? Would that be what it's like? "Well I mean. I guess. It might be. Though if they accidentally knock things over when they faint, they might start wondering where the mess came from. Otherwise yeah it'd be the same conversation over and over... god that seems like a pain. You might start looking for the real life option of the 'skip dialogue' button."

    Rei smirks, though her smirk falters a bit. She's glad that things on the asteroid turned out the way they did, but the fact remains that she almost lost someone very important there. "Yeah, right away. We shouldn't let things get that bad. Well, now that we've saved the world a few times, maybe we'll get better at it? One can hope."

    Rei sticks her tongue out at Usagi. "It's only because he cares, you know." She holds up an index finger, assuming a mock lecturing tone. "A princess needs a proper education!"

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Mutual implosion sounds both messy and dangerous. Best to be avoided (for now)!

Her eyes light up. "Oh, I bet there are! I bet there's a palace on all the planets! I wanna see them all!"

Her eyes sparkle as she tries to picture it! Seeing all the palaces belonging to her girls, feeling just that much closer to them! It would be amazing!

She scrunches up her nose. "Ug. I sort of made one of those up in my head. Though it's more a 'pretend you're somewhere else while making appropriate sounds' button. Because if I hafta be in my own head listening to the same old lectures, I'd go crazy!"

She notices the falter, and tries to chase it away a little. She leans forward, a bit eager! "Well, I don't know about myself, but I know you're all getting better every time!" There is genuine pride in her voice! "You're all so strong! Makes me feel very safe!"

And then Rei ruins it! Usagi sticks her own tongue back out! "Bleeeeeee!" Still, she has a point... "Yeah I know. Which is also why I make him not study sometimes. He'd probably be studying for next term if I didn't distract him sometimes!"

Rei Hino has posed:
    On all the planets? That'd be nice. Rei thinks about it and almost gets stars in her eyes. "It'd be cool to see them. Especially since we'd see how we used to live back then. I think I'd like that." She giggles before saying, "Maybe we could have a sleepover!"

    Rei hears about Usagi's internal 'skip dialogue' button and smirks. "Yeeeah I think I have one of those, too. You kinda have to, since people really like to repeat themselves over and over."

    The compliment is accepted with the usual amount of Rei humility, preening and saying, "Well of course!" Yet at the mention of feeling 'safe' with them Rei actually starts blushing. "Really?"

    Why should that be surprising? Aren't they all her guardians? And of course they all love Usagi so there's some safety in that, too. There's nothing odd about that which should make Rei feel funny.

    There's an almost imperceptible pause, then Rei clears her throat as the red on her face clears up. Mostly.

    "Yeah, I mean. All work and no play, right? You two really do make a good couple." Rei is, suddenly, not teasing that much. She realizes this and tries to be playful again. "He's smart, going for someone like you. Shows good taste, you know."

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Usagi giggles! "That would be nice! Though probably on a planet with lower gravity. That way we won't feel guilty for eating a lot of space ice cream!"

She sips on her melting shake, of course!

Usagi groans and slumps a bit! "They do! And it gets really annoying when you have a good excuse but can't use it because of the Groundhog Day thing."

And now for another slice of pizza!

And then she beams! "Of course!" And of course, she gets a touch shy as she shrugs. "I mean, I know that no matter what, you'd do your best to keep me safe, just like I would you."

And she knows, too, that despite their teasing, if something were genuinely bothering one of them, the other would follow the sudden and silently agreed upon peace treaty.

And even with the teasing, it's reassuring in its own way. To Rei, she's still Usagi, despite an antequated title from a previous life.

Her smile grows warm and, of course, fond. "Yeah." And even as she blushes, she tries to preen a bit! "Good taste but also a bit crazy."

After all, as far as opposites went, they were pretty much oil and vinegar. On paper, they shouldn't fit, but in practice, they did.

Rei Hino has posed:
    Rei tries to imagine them eating ice cream in space, or at least on a planet with less gravity. "I wonder how fun it'd be to run around on one of them. It might be silly but, could you imagine playing tag on the moon?"

    Rei makes a small 'aww' noise as Usagi slumps. She can sympathise, really, since she can't really be faulted for being Sailor Moon and wanting to stop a youma or something. "Yeah, it's rough, though it's probably better that people don't know anyways. Even if you could tell them."

    She drinks a bit more of her soda, noticing that it's near the bottom. She considers it for a moment and then pushes it aside.

    Rei looks at Usagi's eyes. She isn't sure how to take the shyness, or what it means, but her words do give Rei something to smile about. "We would, and I know you'd do the same for us. We're here for each other, after all."

    With a tilt of her head, and a soft smile, she opens her mouth to say something, and then decides against it.

    Any peace treaty, unspoken or otherwise, Rei would gladly sign and adhere to. After all, Usagi is one of the most important people in her life. Maybe even the most important. There's no denying that. Yet that's all the more reason for the teasing, because a teased Usagi is just adorable.

    "Crazy about you, maybe. Can't blame him for that."

    She stands up, takes her glass of soda, and moves around behind Usagi to give her a one armed hug around the shoulders. "I'm going to get something else to drink. You want anything while I'm up?"

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
She leans her elbows on the table, props up her head, and sighs dreamily. "Silly awesome, you mean."

She pictures them all just bouncing around on the moon, chasing each other and overestimating jumps. This causes her to giggle.

And the smile she has for her girls is similar to the one she has for Mamoru. Slightly different, a step to the right, but very much in the same area. "I know."

And then there's more blushing! "Well, I'd hope so! It'd be awkward if I was the only crazy one." A tilt of the nose!
Shehe blinks down at her milkshake. "Um, yes please."

There's gonna be much calming of blushing cheeks and self stern lectures while Rei's away! She's learned her lesson with Ami!

Rei Hino has posed:
    Rei glances down at the milkshake, smiles behind Usagi, and then says, "Okay, then!" Hugging isn't that unusual, right? They hug all the time. They cuddle all the time.

    There is a brief moment where she's very tempted to show up with a single milkshake and two straws. Yet, even Rei's teasing has its limits, so when she vanishes off to get drinks she does decide to get separate ones.

    While away, standing near the counter, she glances back at Usagi. Should she? What if Usagi doesn't want to? She doesn't want to make things weird between them, yet how long would it be before Usagi noticed? Never mind the fact that if Rei doesn't say anything she might regret it.

    Still, why did she have to realize this now? It's not fair. It's frustrating. She's completely off guard right now.

    When Motoki comes, she flashes him a smile that is polite and... has the intention of pleasantness. He notices that something is up and asks, "Hey, Rei-chan. Is everything alright?" He leans in, glancing towards Usagi. "You two aren't fighting again, are you?"

    Rei shakes her head. "Nah, it's nothing like that. It's fine."

    A bit later she comes back, setting the milkshake in front of Usagi. "One Ice Cream Smoothie for you." Then she sits back down where she was, setting her own milkshake on the table and eating a new piece of pizza while looking across the table at Usagi.

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
When Rei's gone, Usagi slumps dramatically across the table. "Uggggggg."

After a moment of self-allowed wallowing, she sits back up and sighs.

Her emotions are getting weird again. First with Ami, albeit briefly, and that somehow managed not to end in disaster. With Makoto, she just didn't get a certain vibe from her, and the confusion over Mamoru and Kunzite's relationship somewhat confirmed that. Venus is supposed to be the unknown factor in everything, but with her off in Paris doing Sailor V stuff, it's rather difficult to sort out stuff.

But something's going on with Rei. Usagi logically assumes it has nothing to do with her at all, but there's always that inkling.

Sigh.

Being a girl is so confusing.

However, her inner conflict doesn't stop her face from lighting up at a new smoothie! "Yummy! Thank you!"

She focuses on the drink, humming happily and just barely avoiding an ice cream headache.

She looks across the table at Rei for a moment, and she's the first to look away and hopes the burn in her cheeks can be blamed on not coming up for air.

Rei Hino has posed:
    Rei's heart stops the moment Usagi looks away, blushing.

    She's... been doing that a lot recently, hasn't she?

    Rei herself is blushing. Well, that's not too bad is it? Usagi-chan did just say she looked pretty in red.

    That last thought didn't help. Nope. No that just made it worse.

    Rei takes her time drinking her milkshake, looking away from Usagi to... well, to not stare, and to give her a break if she needs one. The time she spends drinking also lets her stall just a bit longer.

    Her emotions are a bit of a mess right now. Rei already knew that she loved Usagi. She just never thought that it was anything but platonic. Are those feelings changing? Was this always there and she just didn't notice?

    Also, it may be egotistical of her, and even Rei knows that Rei has quite the ego, but from the way that Usagi is blushing she has trouble thinking that Usagi would turn her down.

    No, that would be way too convenient, wouldn't it? You're being full of yourself again, Rei.

    She releases her smoothie straw and looks at Usagi again. "Usa-chan... um..."

    Oh god, what does she even say?

    "Usagi-chan, I love you."

    Was that the right thing to say? Of course, Rei says she loves Usagi often, too. Yet somehow there's something a little different when she says it this time.

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
While Rei contemplates, Usagi does some of her own. She's still sipping the shake, looking just off to the left of the remaining pizza.

Ignorance usually really is bliss. After all, before Mamoru came to her about Kunzite, she'd been happy categorizing everyone Not-Mamoru in the realm of platonic, darn near convinced that the hearts in her eyes she often feels for a few certain individuals is more admiration. Which is really close to the truth.

Now, though, she's basically been told she can have these feelings for her girls.

It's just...so confusing, because she's not sure what is platonic love, and what is more.

She looks up when Rei calls her name, then pulls up a bit at Rei's admission. For a moment, all of her focus is on Rei, trying to read her expression, her body language, trying to figure out what is truth and what is in her mind. It's the kind of focus she's never give homework, and usually it's given to a certain boy with eyes the color of the ocean.

"I love you, too." It's mumbled, and said in a way that can be taken the way it always is. It's also a convenient way of giving herself more time to figure things out!

Rei Hino has posed:
    Rei probably would not even be thinking about it if she hadn't known about Mamoru and Kunzite. The thought that such a thing could happen between the prince and one of his guardians did bring her to consider Usagi... but that was all theoretical. Rei never thought that she'd be the one falling for her.

    Still, there are some details that she isn't quite aware of, and hearing it through the grapevine is not the same as hearing it directly from the source.

    Rei clears her throat. It might be best to approach this subject from the side? Being direct might just scare Usagi off. Yet, that line of thinking does give Rei at least one angle to approach the topic.

    "Usagi-chan, if you don't mind me asking, what's your... like... arrangement with Mamo-kun? I mean, I know you two are in love, but he's also... with Kunzite, and I guess... I'm not sure how you fit into all of that? I mean. I guess..."

    "If, theoretically..." Rei feels just a bit duplicitous for saying it like that. "... if one of us fell in love with you, and you loved us back, would that be okay? That's not... going to mess up what you have going on with Mamoru-kun, is it?"

    After all, Rei would be a terrible friend if she didn't at least make sure of that before doing anything else.

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Theoretically is a nice word. Also, Usagi contemplates wearing a tinfoil hat.

Still, her cheeks are pink as she shakes her head and makes a little noise. "No. When I told him I kissed Ami-chan," More like freaked out and envisioned a life alone forever... "He said it was the same. And it is."

She shrugs and all of a sudden a scratch on the table is very interesting. "It's kind of how I understood what he feels for Kunzite, you know? You girls, I mean."

She looks up and there's a moment of a dear in the headlight look. "I mean, I'm not pining, I mean, I'm not like...I mean I don't know, but..."

And suddenly she's trying to fill her mouth with too much pizza to talk!

Rei Hino has posed:
    Tinfoil hats won't save you from the literal psychic! Or maybe they would, if it was magic tinfoil. Do they have that?

    Rei considers. So Ami and Usagi have kissed, too. It wasn't a problem then, but then it didn't go anywhere? Huuuh...

    Then Usagi says that she understands how Mamoru feels, and her eyes go a bit wider.

    Then Usagi is avoiding eye contact, and even avoiding talking. She says she isn't pining, and maybe she isn't, but... well... putting herself in Usagi's shoes, Rei can't help but think that it's a little strange for her. Maybe even a bit unfair. Not unfair in a way that Rei would blame Mamoru for, but...

    "Yeah, I mean..."

    She trails off. Well, the fact that Usagi kissed Ami means she'd at least consider it, and also the fact that things aren't that weird between them does reassure Rei in a way.

    Well... she may as well say it, right? It's already awkward. At some point she'd have to make her feelings clear, or else they'll never get anywhere.

    "I mean... well... this might be a bit fast. When we first came here I didn't even think that I had any feelings for you like that. Yet..." Rei blushes. She can't help it. She rolls with it and owns it, because right now whatever shyness or fear she feels is being outweighed by the thought of Usagi being sad. "... yet it's pretty clear to me that I do. I don't know if you feel the same way about me, but if you wanted to... like... date, or something, I wouldn't mind."

    She bites her lips. "And I mean, if you just want to be friends, that's okay too, but I really do think you're cute, and sweet, and pretty."

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
There is a brief moment where Usagi gives Rei a suspicious eyeball. It's gone quickly, though, because of treaties and safety and such.

That scratch is very interesting again. "I don't know if I do..." It's a soft admission. "I mean, I know I love you. I love all of you. I just don't know...how?"

However, despite her blush, there's a bit of a teasing grin when she finally does look up. "We could see? If you wanna?"

Rei Hino has posed:
    Rei wouldn't blame Usagi for accusing her of teasing her or something, but such accusations never come. Instead, she gets... a fairly gentle response.

    Rei nods. "Yeah, I mean. I guess I never really noticed because... I already loved you so much? Having other feelings on top of that... I can understand not really knowing if those are there or not."

    With a smile, she stands up, moves around the table and sits next to Usagi, leaning against her. "We can try it though, sure. We don't have to make any promises about it lasting, and either way I'll still be your senshi."

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Her shoulders slump in relief because yes, that is exactly what Usagi is feeling right now. "Exactly! And then it's like 'if I do, I'll never know unless I do what I did with Ami, and that's a whole 'nother week of festery ulcers!'" Arm flop!

And then Rei's sliding in her booth and Usagi happily leans back.

For her, it feels...the same. In many ways, at least.

Only with, you know, blushing and a goofy little smile she's trying to hide!

"And of course, you'll still be my Rei." This is said with feigned nonchalance, of course.

Because that's another worry she has.

If they try and it doesn't work out, she doesn't want to lose Rei, either.

Rei Hino has posed:
    "What you did with Ami-chan?" Rei asks, a little too innocently. "You mean... kiss?"

    She leans forward just a bit, enough to reach and drag her own ice cream smoothie and pizza plate from her old spot to the new one. Then she takes her half-eaten slice and eats it while leaning against Usagi.

    "Honestly, we're already pretty affectionate. I mean, I don't know too many people outside the senshi whom I can just casually cuddle with."

    Losing Usagi is a real concern, and Rei wouldn't want that to happen. That in of itself is a good reason to hesitate, or at least think things through. Still, even if they hurt each other somehow, would Rei ever really stop being tied to Usagi? She doesn't really think so, and she can't stand thinking that they were reincarnated together just to be torn apart again by something like this.

    "So... if we were going to try it... what would you like to do?"

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Rei gets a scrunched up nose for that! And a little blush! "Yesss. But apparently we both decided it was more an emotional over...thingy of over thinking things and...emotionalism. Or something!"

Usagi hums a laugh. "It's rare. Only person outside of Mama I did this with before you guys came along was Naru-chan."

She sighs, and it's a happy noise. She's snuggled and there's pizza!

If Usagi were to sit down and think about it, she knew that even if something happened in the negative she'd do whatever she could to make things right again. Even if it took awhile.

But then! Oh boy! "Um! There's the movies and eating places." And she suspects maybe Rei isn't as bad with crowded places as Mamoru. "Or amusement parks~!"

Rei Hino has posed:
    Rei wraps her arm around Usagi's back. They still haven't done anything they wouldn't do platonically, and it's almost difficult for Rei to imagine it being any other way. Yet she's still managed to make Usagi blush sometimes.

    Rei reaches out to grab her smoothie and sip from it while leaning against Usagi.

    "I see. Emotionalism. Well, I guess that makes sense."

    The happy sigh from Usagi does make Rei feel a little better.

    "Movies, sure. We can eat places too, if you want." She glances up as Usagi mentions amusement parks, and Rei can't help but grin. "I'd love to. We should do that some time."

It's something that may take awhile for them to both adjust to imagining. In the meantime, Usagi's happy with cuddles!

Even though she knows she first said it that way, Usagi giggles at the idea of them eating actual places. "I wonder if buildings sit in your tummy like a brick."

Ahahaha she's so funny!

And there's a happy little wiggle! "When do you wanna do something? Or ooo, I could look and seewhat's going on where and when if you wanna, and we can figure it out?"

Hmmmm. She taps her chin in thought!

    Cuddles are always welcome! Especially from Usagi.

    Rei stares, wide eyed, up at Usagi as she talks about eating a building whole. She sticks her tongue out again, though the look in her eyes is more 'oh you' than any actual annoyance. "Silly bunny."

    Usagi is laughing, and for once the laughter is contagious. It was a cute joke.

    Rei considers the question of 'when', and for once it's a question that comes at a convenient time. School is out for a bit, after all. "I'm generally pretty available. Soon, maybe, but I'm not picky. Checking around seems like a good idea. When would be good for you?"

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Usagi sticks her tongue right back out! But this time, the 'bleeee' is not full of grumpies! "You're silly."

It's a very good thing school is out. Usagi isn't even thinking about school!

"Oh! Hum! I think my schedule's pretty much open! I got a couple things with Mama, but I hafta find out when."

She pulls out her phone and starts looking at things! Amusement parks and events and all that fun stuff!

    Rei giggles at Usagi's tongue-sticking-out, and then playfully says, "No you!"

    So they both have pretty open schedules. That's pretty promising. Rei looks at Usagi's screen as she goes through various schedules and amusement parks and so on.

    She forms a few opinions while looking at the various options, but she doesn't voice them just yet. Usagi is the one looking them over, so Rei doesn't want to create a 'too many cooks' situation.

    "I'm pretty open to ideas. I mean, as long as it's fun, right?"

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Usagi closes all arguments by sticking out her tongue again! (This, of course, doesn't close it. She just likes to pretend it does.)

"So far, looks like there's a few options. Disneyland, woot woot. But that usually requires promising Mama I'd clean out the attic or something. Oh, here's a new agey festival thingy, if you're into more than psychicking. Oh, here's something else!"

Choices, choices! All scrolling by, and more than she'd think there would be!

"I...don't know!"

    Rei's hand reaches up and starts to gently scratch Usagi's back as she looks over options.

    "We could try both, if you wanted. Disneyland tends to be open all year round, so that one is more flexible. When is the new age thing? We'd have to plan around that if we were going to go to it."

    Rei starts too look at the options and wonders if there's just too many to consider all at once. When the whole world is an option, what do you pick?

    "If you want, I could help clean the attic or... whatever. I'm not entirely sure how I'd convince grandpa to let me go, but I'm pretty sure I could."

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Usagi is, of course, very much like a bunny who likes to be scritched. She almost purrs.

"It could be very crowded, too. I don't mind it, but that's something to consider if you're not fond of that." Not that Disneyland isn't always crowded, but it'd be moreso this next week!

"And it looks like the festival is this weekend. Oooo, Saturday and Sunday."

She tries very hard not to grin. "Well, the attic wouldn't be too messy yet. She'd probably find something though. But whatever it is, I'll be sure to invite you to share the pain."

    Seeing Usagi enjoying it, Rei keeps scritching, reaching up behind Usagi's ear to scritch her there. She grins, slightly, as she watches Usagi's reaction.

    "I'm not worried about crowds. They don't bother me at all. I can handle them, easy." This might not be surprising, considering her shrine and how much traffic it gets. It also doesn't surprise Rei that Usagi would ask, considering how Mamoru usually handles crowds.

    "This weekend? Would you like to do that, then? It might be fun, though I admit despite being a psychic I'm not sure what to expect."

    Rei giggles at the thought of sharing the pain. "Of course. It'll just make the actual trip more fun, right?"

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
It takes her a moment to respond. When she does, her blinks are languid when she looks at Rei. "Hmmm?"

Then she shakes herself! It's not her fault ear scritchies are good!

"Oh, right! Good! Yay!" That settled, she wiggles a bit. Options!

"I don't know what to expect, either! I'm kind of picturing a lot of aroma type thingies and bracelet type thingies. Ooo, maybe we could get horoscopes done."

Ponder, ponder, plan!

"And, of course, if it turns out to be something we don't like," Of course, by 'we' she means 'Rei,' since it's related to her abilities and not Usagi's, "We could always go to the little shopping center near there or find something else to do!"

Rei Hino has posed:
    Oh? She likes those? Rei might be considered mean for exploiting Usagi's weaknesses, but at the moment the girl she likes is enjoying herself and Rei's feeling a bit encouraged by that.

    Her scritches seem to take on a slower, deeper quality. The miko continues the conversation in a normal tone as if she isn't doing anything.

    The wiggling pushes Usagi against the Rei that's leaning against her, and Rei smiles because of it.

    "That might actually be kinda fun. If it's something like a psychic convention, I might like that. If it were just one person talking I might worry that the whole thing was fraudulent." It's a concern she'd have, especially in her line of work.

    "On the other hand if there's at least one or so good things there it might be looking into. Who knows? Having a back up plan helps, too."

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Fortunately, Usagi's soon able to retain coherency while being scritched. There are, of course, the occasional purrs and melts and all that. Because bunny.

"Actually, it looks like they have a lot of different things! Booths and discussions and workshops." She nudges Rei with her elbow. "You may find out interesting things."
