New Friends, Pastries and Secrets!
Date of Scene:	28 October 2016
Location:	Uminari City - Midori-Ya Cafe
Synopsis:	Yuuki and Nicola visit Nanoha in her family's cafe! They talk about friends, eat pastries and Nicola and Nanoha talk about magical things vaugely to Yuuki's bewilderment.

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
It's after school! So Nanoha has found her way back home- that is- Midori-Ya. (The family's home is in the apartment upstairs!). Nanoha's brother seems to be (boredly) manning the til. It's not exactly heavy business at the moment for whatever reason. It's a little blustery out today so maybe that's it.

Nanoha Takamachi, herself, is using a broom to sweep somewhere behind the counter. Sweep, sweep, sweep. It seems she's being tasked with cleaning! It's a job anyone can do really! Though the broom is obviously meant for someone bigger than her, she's managing. She just has to be careful not to hit anyone with the other end of that broom on the downswing.

Also. There is a ferret on her shoulder. Yuuno sometimes uses one of his tiny paws to point down at an area. Then Nanoha goes and sweeps there. It seems to be that he is saying 'you missed a spot' in weird ferret sign language almost perhaps, to outsiders looking on.

Yuuki Oshiro has posed:
It is indeed after school! Yuuki has been a bit more confident today then she's been in the past few weeks. She actually volunteered to help out and clean erasers. Yuuki has not volunteered to do anything since she arrived at the school, let alone openly spoke up. So for her to do that was a really good thing. Now though, the erasers have been cleaned and she is out walking home.

Yuuki is bundled up as she walks through the streets. Its blustery alright! Leaves are being blown clear out of the trees! Several of which, get stuck in her hair, including a big yellow one that really goes well with her fiery hair color.

Quietly she walks her way towards Midori-ya. She had spoken to her mother and gotten some yen so she could go to the bakery and do hang out with a girl from school! Her mom was just happy that she was making a friend! Quietly she walks in and waits in line so she can make an order.

Nicola Esprit has posed:
Nicola is ... well some people would call her a nerd. She's definitely weird and foreign, and tends to get skipped over by teachers asking questions. She's coming over to Midori-ya with some money of her own, don't ask where she got it, because she wanted to talk about something with one of her best Earthling friends, Nanoha. "Nanoha-chan~" She greets cheerfully as she comes in, not bothering with the line.

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi continues to sweep! Sweep, sweep, sweep. 'Nanoha-chan~'.

She looks up from her work and blinks. "Oh! Hello, Nicola-chan~ How are you?" a pause. "Are you here to buy something or to talk to me? I'll be just a moment!" she says as she quickly turns back to sweeping a moment.

It's just a couple minutes and she puts the broom back into the cabinet in the back with the rest of the cleaning-type supplies it seems.

She turns back around and walks up to that side of the counter. "Do you want anything?" she asks.

She looks down across the line and someone seems familiar...

Oh! It's Yuuki!

"Yuuki!" she says. "It's okay. Come up over here..." she offers.

"I can get you things here." she says. "Nice n' quick like."

Yuuki Oshiro has posed:
Yuuki is just minding her own business. She's still got leaves in her hair and she was pretty content to just wait in line. Its about that point she sees Nanoha. She waves to her and then she is offered to come up there! She blinks a few times and begins walking up to where Nanoha is. As she goes she bows to the people in front of her with a single word, "Gomen!" Then its right up to the now two girls. Both of which in her class.

Immediately Yuuki's shyness returns and she just sorta looks down at the floor. "Hello, Nanoha-san. Umm... Hi... Nicola-san." She whispers. She doesn't really know what to say to the girl besides hi.

Turning her attention to the Nanoha, she smiles a little, "Umm. May I have some hot apple cider. Its really windy outside. May I have one of those?" She points to the eclairs and smiles brightly before she sets the yen she has down.

Nicola Esprit has posed:
"I'd like two doughnuts, two danishes, something to drink that isn't tea, and some time with my friend!" Nicola orders cheerfully, making a mild face at the mention of tea. Someone's had to interact with Lindy lately. She notices Yuuki, too, and is familiar enough with the girl to know who she is. "Hello Oshiro-san, are you a friend of Nanoha-chan's, too?" Though Nicola's accent has been much diminished, it's still very easy to tell she's not from around here.

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi smiles. "Just a moment!" she says as she grabs a tray and begins assembling wanted things. An Eclair. (They're fresh and the cream inside is still warm.), Two Doughnuts. (Plain Cake. still delicious.) and Two Danishes. (Probably some sort of fruit filled type! Or maybe Cream Cheese.). She acquires the Hot apple cider from one of those coffee-like heaters in the back. (There's three labeled Cider, Hot Cocoa and Coffee right now.). She obtains Hot Cocoa for Nicola.

She doesn't get anything for herself because she probably ate something earlier. She doesn't wanna make herself sick!

She out from behind the counter and finds a booth in the corner to sit as she slides on in and places the tray down. There!

"I just finished up my chore, so I can talk." she says.

"How are you both?" she smiles. Yuuki seems a little shy, but. She's new. That shyness will dissipate over time. She figures.

"Um. Nicola. This is Yuuki. From School. She's new to the school!" she says.

Yuuki Oshiro has posed:
Yuuki slides into the booth. She gets comfortable and takes a long sip of the hot cider. A big smile crosses her face as she takes in the nice flavor. Its flat out delicious! She giggles and just smiles an authentic smile. Then she takes a bite of eclair. She gets chcoolate on her nose and lets out a content, "Mmmmmmmmm!"

She looks at Nanoha and smiles, "Thank you. This is really good. I am okay. THank you for talking to me yesterday." She states happily. Then she looks on her shoulder and sees the ferret. "Awww. Cute! He's adorable. I don't think I've ever seen anything like him before."

She looks over to Nicola and gives a soft smile, "I um.. I don't know. I haven't really made any friends."

Nicola Esprit has posed:
Nicola bites into one of the doughnuts as she sits down, and with a half-full mouth grins at Yuuki, "Well you should change that. Being new at school is bad enough, if you have no friends it gets worse." She assures the girl, then goes back to eating, and when she's done she adds, "Well I wanted to talk to you about something, Nanoha-chan, but I don't know if I should talk about ... uh ... that secret thing."

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi smiles a bit at the two and head tilts. Yuuno also head tilts. "Oh! Um. This is Yuuno, my ferret friend!" she says. She smiles a bit. "He helps me with things." she says. No need to tell Yuuki that he is also a ferret space archaeologist.

She offers napkin politely to Yuuki. "Here!" she says. She head tilts. "Nicola's a good friend." she insists.

She looks over at Nicola. "Oh. Um. Yeah. Not a good idea."

Nanoha gently taps Raising Heart in her pocket and a telepathic link opens up- trying to open up to Ruby Rose- Nicola's device.

< Here, we can talk like this. > she sends telepathically. < ... is something wrong? > she asks.

Yuuki Oshiro has posed:
Yuuki smiles and accepts the napkin and quickly begins cleaning the chocolate off her nose. Only then does she realize she has leaves in her hair and she begins plucking them out of it. "Oops! Sorry!" She giggles a little and then reaches out towards Yuuno.

"Hello Yuuno! You are adorable do people tell you that enough. You really are." She just smiles a little.

She looks up at mention of a secret thing. Is she curious. Yes she is. Does she ask? No. If she was supposed to know they would tell her. She frowns a little to Nicola, "I didn't make friends because... I'm a little scared to. A lot happened last year and I pushed a lot of friends away. I used to not be scared of people. I used to be popular and stuff."

Nicola Esprit has posed:
Ruby Rose isn't there. For whatever reason, Raising Heart can't detect Nicola's device. Maybe it's what the alien wanted to talk about. "I didn't have any friends until I came here, because I was taught by a tutor at home, and I wasn't allowed to go out unsupervised. My Japanese was pretty bad when I transferred to Seishou and I still managed to make friends. Just be true to who you are and I'm sure you'll make some." She insists, and then takes another big bite out of that doughnut.

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi nods matter of factly. "Nicola is right! Don't try to be someone you aren't just to make friends." she insists. "This is a new place and so you'll make some new friends, I'm sure!" she insists. She smiles a bit.

Yuuno most certainly just seemed to blush. He hides somewhere behind Nanoha's neck now.

Nanoha gets no reply. So she tries again. Nothing.

This causes her to 'eh' to herself in thought as she speaks up. "Um. Are you missing. Your friend, Nicola?" she asks. A vauge questioning meaning her device partner.

Yuuki Oshiro has posed:
Yuuki Oshiro looks at Nicola and frowns. She then looks at Nanoha. She rubs her head and takes a sip of her apple cider. "I'm not trying to be anyone different. Bit sometimes, things happen and people change. I didn't want push my friends away. Its just been hard for me to make new friends."

She goes quiet and finishes off her eclair. Her mind wonders to her past. Quietly she pulls out her phone and brings up a picture of a small brown and white kitten. Its sitting on her head. "Oh, here is a picture of Kit Cat."

When the topic of another friend and them being missing, it catches her attention. She just goes quiet for now not wanting to cause trouble.

Nicola Esprit has posed:
Nicola quickly shakes her head at Nanoha's questions, denying that to be the problem. She then quietly digs into one of the two danishes, eating it with an extreme level of enthusiasm. She seems to go through these pastries at a crazy rate. "That's a cute kitty. I wish I was allowed to have a fa--pet." She quickly corrects her word to make sure she says the right thing.

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi gives a soft nod back to Nicola. "We'll talk later then about it." she smiles at Nicola. Regardless. Nicola doesn't seem 'worried'- so.. nothing that bad could have happened. Right?

She looks back to Yuuki and nods a bit. "Well. We can help!" she insists to her. She peeks at the cat. "Oh! That's a cute kitten!" she says softly.

She looks to Nicola. She caught that catch. But Yuuno isn't a familiar, he's a friend!

She head tilts at Yuuki. "Was the Eclair good?" she asks.

Yuuki Oshiro has posed:
Yuuki Oshiro smiles and looks at her pet kitten in the picture. "I named her. She's my bestest friend in the whole world. I named her Kit because... I just thought a kitten named kit would be cute. She's my kit Cat and I really love her so much!"

When Nicola makes a little slip of the tongue, she doesn't think anything about it. She could be stumbling over the word for pet in her native tongue. Not like she would know what a familiar is. Aside from the spooky witches black cat. Beyond that, nope nothing.

"Oh umm, it is really yummy! I like it! I wish I could get another one but that would spoil dinner. Momma and I are making Udon tonight." She beams over that one. "Sorry I am just a little confused. Are you both in a secret club?"

Nicola Esprit has posed:
Nicola nods towards Nanoha, and smiles, then gets back towards eating more tasty things. She finishes the danish and gets onto the second doughnut, only pausing the eating to add, "No. We just have a friend who trusted us not to share something with others, and we don't want to hurt them." Nicola says something that's technically true, albeit wholly misleading.

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi smiles to the two. "Having a pet is a big responsibility, though Yuuno does a good job of taking care of himself." she says softly. "Ferrets are really independent!" she says. Especially when that ferret is also a boy pretending to be a ferret. Not that Nanoha knows that yet.

She smiles. "That sounds delicious." she says to the Udon. "I dunno what we're having for dinner yet..." she says scrunching her nose. "Not like I can smell anything cooking upstairs through the bakery." she giggles.

She head tilts. "Oh. Yeah. Just a friend that trusted us with things." she says.

Yuuki Oshiro has posed:
Yuuki Oshiro shrugs and makes a little face. "Oh umm, thats cool too. I wish I had a friend I can tell secrets too. I think it would be fun." SHe smiles a little.

For a moment she goes quiet. There is a lot of thought going on as she considers something. "Hmmm." It is like she doesn't know if she should say anything. She sighs and speaks up. "Umm... Nanoha, would you like to come over for dinner?" She asks nervously. "You too, umm, Nicola?"

She winces a little. A forced smile is given. She's not scared that they will say yes. She's scared they will say no.

Nicola Esprit has posed:
"I'd love to, but I'll have to ask." Nicola answers Yuuki, sounding somewhat sad, like she expects the answer to be that she can't. She shrugs a little, and finishes the doughnut. Only one pastry remains, which she isn't touching yet. "Jessamine has been a little mean lately, not letting us go out as much as she used to." She sounds a wee bit frustrated.

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi smiles. "Tonight?" she asks. "Well. I'm sure it's okay! I do need to ask, but there's no major plans that I know of!" she smiles. "So I should be able to." she says softly.

She nods. "Secrets just kind of... need to be a thing. Sometimes." she says quietly. Arisa and Suzuka most certainly know /ALL ABOUT THAT NANOHA GET BACK HERE/.

"Um, Maybe Jessamine will let you go if I'm going? I dunno." she says.

Yuuki Oshiro has posed:
Yuuki Oshiro smiles a little and nods, "Okay umm, I can give you my number and you can call me and I can give you both my address. Then you can come and meet Kit Cat. I'm sure she will enjoy meeting Yuuno." She smiles a little

She smiles, "I understand. I won't try to find out more or anything. I just was curious." She shrugs and finishes her Cider.

"I guess. If you are coming for dinner, I should go home and help make the food. Momma taught me to make the udon noodles and I can start making them so Momma doesn't have to!" SHe smiles a little and quietly moves to slide out of the booth. "I can't wait to share it with you!"
