One last day of sickness

Location:	Pikarigaoka - Residential District
Synopsis:	One more day of sickness means one more Tadase-visit for Amu. Sometimes it's okay to just be happy.

Amu Hinamori was sitting up in bed, a book in her lap and at least trying to study. Like a responsible child. For once. Considering how much she'd been slacking so far, this was pretty impressive. But then, she started classes again next week soooo...

She gave a soft yawn and a little hint of red went into her cheeks as she thought about a certain group of boys who'd visited her. She giggled and hugged her new bunny stuffed animal. "Hee hee. Bun bun... if I keep getting so many awesome guests like this, maybe I should get sick more often! hee hee."

Tadase Hotori has posed:
There's a familiar backhanded knock at Amu's balcony glass door - it's Tadase again. One might think that, as much time as he'd spent over there, next to her, helping her chase her nightmares and fears away, he might've expected to be allowed in, or at least, been a little more casual.

But not Tadase, not really. He's still, as ever, being as polite and upstanding as he can be given that he's sneaking into a teenage girl's bedroom at night.

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori looked up, and gave an excited little sqwee, holding onto her bunny. Then eeped, turned red. "C-come in," she said weakly, giving a shy little chuckle. Oh gosh it was soooo obvious she was head over heels. She watched him come in, her little heart fluttering with every step. He was here. Her prince. Her charming, wonderful, amazing prince.

"Hi Tadase-kun. How uhhh... how was school today? Does everyone know I'm coming back next week?" She's fully expecting about twenty girls to come to her and apologize for flirting with Tadase. Since they thought she was gone or something.

Tadase Hotori has posed:
Tadase shrugs, and with a bit of an uncharacteristically rougish grin, looks at Amu and says, "There are other girls? I hadn't even noticed."

But then he walks over and smiles. "I know that I'm excited to have you back, though. Really excited. Not that this hasn't been nice too, but it's not the same and..." and Tadase is tounge tied. From rougish good words to not knowing how to talk to girls in 0.6s, that's her Prince alright.

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori nods and then reaches up, taking his hand. "I know. I can't wait to be back and... and..." She stared up at him, Her words trailing off. She watched him, just for a second, her hand quivering slightly. She just stared, unsure of how to proceed. then she figured it out.

She puleld him down to her, leaned forward, and put her lips to his, closing her eyes. It lasted just a moment before she pulled back, her cheeks burning. "H-how was... t-that?" Oh gosh she princed the kiss! Kissed the prince! Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh she was going to die play it cool play it cool STOP BLUSHING EEEEEEEEEEEE!

Tadase goes redder than half of a police lightbar. "...that was pretty good." he admits, smiling - at first a little, but quickly super-wide. "And soon we can do that more often 'cause I won't have to sneak into your room like some sort of midnight agent to see you."

"...and I won't feel like I need to keep watching the door for your inquisitive sister."

Amu Hinamori shook her head. "O-oh, don't worry. She and my parents are asleep, they won't notice anything if we're quiet." ... How scandelous. And then eeped. "M-more often?" Ohhhhh, her cheeks were now flaming. "I-I mean, yes! We can... d-do it all the t-time... s-soon. A-all the time. W-whenever y-you w-w-ww-w-want." Oh gosh she though it would be a cute little thing! A lil kiss on the lips, a snuggle, b-but he wanted to kiss her ALL the time? Oh my gosh eeeeeee h-how would she survive?!

Tadase doesn't even know how to react to Amu sometimes, and so he just smiles at her and tilts towards her, the taller boy coming to rest against her shoulder. "Or we could not. Just being around you more will be nice. I love Na-chan and Souma-kun is still fun, but it's really not the same."

"I didn't even know how much a difference you made in my life until I had to go so far out of my way just to see you."

Amu Hinamori blinked a few times. Then looked a little hurt. "So... you don't... want to kiss me all the time?" Awww, now she seemed sad. It wasn't that she didn't want to kiss him all the time. She did! Kissing him was awesome! It was just a little scary because she never knew if she was doing it right. She was so scared she was messing it up every time and he was just so amazing and she was so... not.

Still, she reached out and touched his shoulder. "You... you missed me... that much?" she asked softly, shaking. "I... I... missed you a lot too. I thought of you every night." Then turned scarlet when she realized how THAT sounded.

Tadase Hotori has posed:
Tadase is probably emitting laser light levels of red from his face as his mind goes about where Amu's mind was afraid it might. But eventually he coughs (as Kiseki kicks him from inside the shirt pocket he's resting in) and he puts a hand behind his head. "No no no I do I just don't want to unless you want to. Kiss! I MEAN KISS." He just made it worse, didn't he?

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori squeaked and nodded, then shook her head. "N-no! Yes! I mean, I do, but I don't. I mean, I-I like it, if you like it. But if you don't like it, I don't like it. I mean, if you want to, I mean, I-I'm not usually into that kind of thing, but if--"

"She wants to make kissy face with you!" Ran finally yelled. "Like, all the time!" Miki added. "Indeed," Su added wth a smile.

Amu just froze, her face scarlet. "S-squeak..."

Tadase Hotori has posed:
Tadase leans up - from his position on her shoulder it's not far to lean - and kisses her cheek, but rather firmly. And then he turns to the Charas. "Well, that makes two of us then. Or..." and he actually has to count them "...six?" he says, with a smile.

"So... do you want me to walk you to class on your first day back? Or is that too much?"

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori blinked and turned redder. "W-walk me... to class? I... I guess you can. If you want. N-not like I... c-care about that kind of thing."

"She's been daydreaming about it all week," Ran helped. "And about you picking her up for school," Miki added. "And about feeding you a lunch she made herself," Su said with a nod.

Amu had gone completely gray, frozen in place. Those. Evil. Charas. Each and every one of them.

Tadase Hotori has posed:
Dealing with Amu meant dealing with her Charas, and Tadase had long learned now to take their word over hers, especially in matters regarding them. So instead of anything else, he just smiles and looks at her.

"I can't wait to see what you make!" he says, leaning over a little bit more. "You're so talented at anything you put your heart and mind to, Amu." No pressure. Nope. None.

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori squeaked and went completely red faced, her heart hammering. She covered her face with her hands. "W-w-well, if, if you r-really w-want me too, I-I suppose I-I-I can find the time to, to make a little something." Oh her heart was going to explode. And she was trembling in place with excitement. She was so, so head over heals for him.

"And now she wants you to kiss her again," Ran said. "On the lips," Miki said. "And tell her how pretty she looks even though she hasn't brushed her hair or anyhting."

"Stop it or I'll boil the lot of you!" Amu snapped, her cheeks burning. The girls just laughed at her idle threat.

Tadase Hotori has posed:
Tadase nods at the girls. "Don't boil your charas, Amu. Sometimes they do very nice things for you." he says as he turns back to her, putting a hand on both of her shoulders to steady her - because she might well flutter away as he pushes his lips against hers.

Kiseki barely escapes the pocket Tadase put him in before this happens, leaving him flying away and ending up with the girls. "He's been wanting to do that since before he got here anyways." Kiseki notes plainly.

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori squeaks, going completely still, closing her eyes and feeling his lips against hers. It was all she could do to stop her heart from exploding. She was in love. So incredidibly, awesomely, completely and utterly in love. She knew there were other boyso ut there, cute boys, amazing boys.

Right now, though, there was just Tadase. He was the only one in the world. She gently reached her arms around him and held him close and, once the kiss ended. "Do... you want to... g-go out this weekened? Like... on a date?" she asked softly. "Maybe... maybe to a movie or something? Just... the two of us?"

Tadase Hotori has posed:
Tadase nods emphatically. "Oh, if you're well enough to go out then yes! I would've tried to bring you somewhere but I wouldn't want to risk you getting sicker. On one condition though." he says, holding up a finger.

"You have to pick the movie. And you have to let me treat you." Kiseki chimes in. "That's two conditions, Tadase."

"...Okay, two conditions."

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori gulped but, slowly, she nodded. "F-fine. But... I... have a condition of my own..." She wrapped her arms up around his neck, smiling up at him. "I'll... come over early... and... and make dinner for the two of us. And bring it over. and, ummm, w-we can have... dinner... together." Her cheeks were burning red. She hadn't even chara transformed for that! The girls were watching with awe.

And it's Tadase's turn to blink. It's not a bad thing, just... caught him off guard. A girl was going to come over and cook for him, and she'd offered? Tadase stammered.

"Y..yes please. I would.. like that very much." It's easy for experienced Tadase-watchers to tell when he's that far off guard, because the way he talks shifts more proper - blame Kiseki.

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori nodded and then leaned in, giving him another gentle kiss. "And ummm... for... now, errrr..." She glanced to the window, then hummed.

"I'm technically not cleared to go out until tomorrow morning, but well... I actually feel completely fine now. Do you want to go to the arcade or something? I know it's kind of late but... we could... hang out together for a bit. Tht way not have to worry about my parents or anything?"

Tadase Hotori has posed:
Tadase looks at her. It's a different look, a less loving look - something sterner, more apprasing.

"Do you promise me that you feel fine? Normal? Not sick? That you're not pretending to be better than you feel just to spend time with me?" he asks in that swapped voice, that King's voice over the prince's for just a moment, though there's enough concern in the back of his tone and in his words to make it clear it's not harshness for harshness' sake.

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori nodded, then looked to the girls. "I'm telling the truth, aren't I?"

There was a long pause and... "Yeah, she feels fine," Ran said. "Totally," Miki helped. "We'd have jumped on her again if she tried doing anything," Su said.

Amu then gave him a smile. "They just wanted to be sure. I'll take it easy though, I promise. I've just been stuck in here soooo long."

Tadase Hotori has posed:
"Okay." Tadase says. "But... do you want to sneak out or... should I transform and carry you off the balcony?" he adds, almost like he knows which choice she'll prefer.

"That way you're not pushing yourself with a chara-transformation to do it yourself, because yes, I know you're capable." Of doing it herself or pushing herself too soon, he doesn't elaborate.

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori blushed, squeaking. "C-carry me?" she asked, her eyes wide.

"Oh, she wants that." Ran said. "Her heart skipped a beat," Miki added. "More than one," Su helped.

Amu just blushed. "I-I think I can handle t-transforming m-m-myself..." He was so going to carry her.

Tadase Hotori has posed:
Kiseki is all-too-happy to return to his egg for the transformation, that, though Tadase has to whisper the words - still has a bit of a bright golden flash to it before he becomes Platinum Royale.

It doesn't even take him a moment after that to open the door, usher Amu out onto the balconly, close the door, scoop her up into his hands, and make a serious jump through the air with her in the very traditional Princess Carry position.

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori squeaked and nestled her head to his chest, closing her eyes and reveling in the moment. She was in heaven. Feeling him holding her, cradling her, being his princess.

Sailor moon didn't have anything on this. Bah, she had mamo. Someone who studied too much and didn't have time for her. But Amu? Amu had a prince she saw every day who loved her, cherished her, and treated her like an angel sent to heaven. And she felt like one now.

Tadase Hotori has posed:
The rest of their conversation continues as Tadase makes big jumps across the rooftops of Tokyo, Amu in his arms.

"See, and this way you can keep being Cool and Spicy too." he says with a grin. "Pretty sure nobody's gonna look up and see you being my beautiful Queen, too. This is just for me, I guess."

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori gasped softly. "R-really? Just... just for..." She closed her eyes and rested her head to his chest. So strong. So poofy. So... her prince. And only her prince. No one elses. Her heart hammered in her chest the whole way there.

She could even smell his shampoo and it made her squeak and wiggle and oh she was so head over heels for him. As long as he didn't drop her. Even if he did, well, she'd be fine. She could always chara transform.

Tadase Hotori has posed:
It's eventually, though, that they stop jumping. It's late at night, so rather than answer awkward questions about what's open or not, or why they're out so late, he sets her down on a roof outside of the Harbor District. Which means they're facing the ocean and the moonlight reflecting off it.

Really, this is a 'dumb luck' time for Tadase, because he's really only stopping to ask Amu what to do, but... "Are you feeling alright?" is what he asks first.

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori stared out at the sea, taking his hand in hers. "Uh huh. It's... beautiful." Like him. She then gripped both his hands in hers, kissing him on the lips. "I'm the luckiest girl in the world." She still felt a little skip in her heart when she kissed him. Just a little flicker as her heart hammered away. She was the luckiest girl ever. There was no other term for it. She loved him. He loved her.

"I don't know what I did to deserve someone as amazing as you, but... it must have been pretty good." She glanced out over the sea. "I'm fine. Though my heart won't stop pounding when I'm with you..."

Tadase Hotori has posed:
Tadase blinks. "What's beautiful?" he asks, even as he's looking out at the moonlight on the water. "Cept you." he adds, thanks to Kiseki mentally kicking him, which is actually easier to do when he's at Maximum Frills.

"The heart pounding... Is that bad?" he asks, still focused on Amu's health to a point where it might leave him oblivious. "And I'm the one that doesn't deserve you. Now I know you're still under the weather."

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori blinked, then glared at him. "It's pounding because I'm in love, you dope!" Then blinked. Turned red again. "I-I mean... err... my... my prince," she said softly, poking her fingers together. "I... I hope that's okay?" she asked with a weak little smile. "I just... you're so... and I... I love you..."

She pointed out to the sea. "This sight you brought me to see... it's beautiful... you... are too."

Tadase Hotori has posed:
"O..Oh!" Tadase exclaims after he gets it. Takes the boy long enough. "You might wanna avoid calling me that, though. Right now Kiseki can't do much about it but you should hear him yelling in my head." he says, taking her hand in his as he does, now, realize what he's brought her to. "You know, as for me, I'm just happy you're not calling me shrimp anymore."

"Nothing in this world is as beautiful as you are, though. Nothing."

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori grinned, then leaned up and kissed him on the tip of his nose. "Oh? But you're cute, pretty, beautiful, charming, poofy, handsome, amazing~ And I'm, fortunately, in love with you, not Kiseki. So he can complain all he wants." She took this moment to step back. "Because I--" It took her a moment to realize... wait. Her foot hadn't... She looked back in time to see she'd stepped out onto open air with one foot. She teetered back, letting out a shriek as she started to go over the edge.

Tadase reached out and -just narrowly- grabbed Amu's wrist and dragged her back towards him, in a moment of preternatural henshin-boosted awareness - but in doing so misjudges his strength, so pulling her into him sends the both of them to the top of the roof in a pile. Looking up at her, all Tadase can do is smile.

"Hey, be careful. I barely even have you back yet and you're already jumping off buildings to get away from me."

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori blinked and stared down at him, her eyes wide and cheeks burning. Then he said that and she went even redder, before laying down on him. Going completely limp. "Oh no. My strength. It's abandoned me. I guess I'll just have to lay on top of this delightfully beautiful cushion. Mmmm. so soft. So warm," she teased. Poor Kiseki.

"And... ad it's fine. I know... if I fall... you'll always catch me. Just like you did back then..."

Tadase Hotori has posed:
Tadase smiles up at Amu, then puts an arm around her as she lies on him. At least the ruffles make him comfy. "Well, there's nobody I'd rather have in my arms. But you don't have to put yourself in danger to be in them. You're welcome to me any time."

"Actually, I don't know if I'd know what to do with myself without you in my arms. I felt lost while you were gone."

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori closed her eyes and rested against him. Should... she tell him? "Tadase-kun... do... you trust me?" she asked softly. "I mean... trust my judgment? and that I will... normally... do the right thing? Even if sometimes it seems stupid?"

Tadase Hotori has posed:
Tadase looks at her. He's not actually sure how to answer that. He knows how he should answer that, but he's not prone to lying, not little ones nor big ones.

"I trust you to do what you think is right, but... I've also seen you take big risks and that worries me." he says, quietly, wondering if that'll be good enough, or if he's about to be in trouble for not saying yes.

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori nodded, smiling to him. "Wellll... it's not what I wanted to hear, but... I wanted honesty. So I'm happy you told me the truth. Sooo... I talked to Lacrima-chan." Oh dear. "And ummmm... there's a thing. A big thing. She's... sensed something in spain." Oh dear oh dear. "And I'm afraid if she goes alone something bad will happen... but... she doesn't trust a lot of people. And, errr, I know I can't miss school, but ummmm... she said... she might be able to find another way to get there... and errr... would... it be okay if I... ummmm... did?"

Tadase Hotori has posed:
Tadase makes a face. "Amu-chan." he says, firmly, and with honorific, even as his hand is running through her hair. "I just got you well enough to be out here with me. I've had to spend every night with you to chase off nightmares just so you could rest and recover." he says, softly.

"Please don't ask me that. I... can't stop you? But... Spain? You just got back from Europe. And you just got better. And... you're going to go anyways, aren't you."

"...can I come with you? And maybe Kukai and Na-chan?"

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori cringed. "It'd just be a day or two. Really. I... I told Lacrima-chan I could only be gone that long. I can't miss school. And, errr, I'd have to ask her. I just..."

She sighed. "I think she might be doing something bad. Wrong. I think if she goes there, if she finds what she's looking for, it might help her." Then a look of sadness. "Or... it might... turn her bad. And... and I might have to try to stop her," she whispered gently. "I don't know. But I know I don't want her to go alone. I'm not sure she'd be okay with that. I'm not even sure she'll be okay with me going. But... I can ask her."

Tadase Hotori has posed:
Tadase cringes back. "I can't keep you out of danger, but I really want to." he says, quietly. "I want to like... stand in front of you and all of the things in this world that could ever do you harm or make you sad, I want to be your Knight as much as your King." Tadase still can't bring himself to call himself a Prince.

"I know I really can't but that doesn't mean I don't really want to. I worry. I've been so worried. I was so worried when you weren't here."

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori blushed and nodded, an egg wiggling slightly, unnoticed by the other charas. "I know. Trust me, I know. Every moment I was gone I was worried about all of you, what would happen without me here. I mean, I know there are... other... stronger magical girls here but..."

She blushed. "I still worried. And I know you want to protect me. I... I want you to protect me. To be my knight and prince but... I know I have to face things too. There are some things I... can do that others can't."

Tadase Hotori has posed:
"I know that." Tadase says, a bit sadly. "I know I need to let you be your own person. I don't want to clip your wings, either. It's your heart, your strength, your spirit... it makes you the girl I fell in love with."

"All I want is for you to be careful, and... I want a way to help you. Either to be able to help you if things go wrong or help things never go wrong at all. And if I can't help you... I'll just have to trust you."

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori blushed and then nodded. "I know. I'll... I'll talk with Lacrima-chan to see if you can come too, okay? and... and if I can't..." She went quiet for a bit. "We can talk over the virtue network at all times, okay? I'm sure if anything happened, you'd be able to find out that way and rescue me. Okay?"

Tadase Hotori has posed:
Tadase nods. "Okay. And you should know. I thought about it and... I do trust you." he says, with a firm conviction. "I have to trust you, because you're..." and then he stops, his firmness stuck with a loss of words and then he just kisses her forehead.

"Because I do."

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori smiled and leaned down, resting her head on his chest. "We... should prbably go to the arcade soon. But... for now... I think... I'm happy just being here. With you. Always." Nuzzle nuzzle.

The girls were watching with star eyes.
