Synopsis:	Nanoha and Yuuki spar! Nanoha finds out why some people may not like the TSAB very much!

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi has called out Yuuki for some drilling and practice. She hasn't had a proper partner in a while to practice with- so it was nice to have someone she could touch base with more regularly- what with Jessamine keeping a leash on Nicola and Bryony and Suzuki being busy all the time.

She has found a nice, desolate piece of beach in the nighttime. It's late! It's also winter, which means that means that not many people are out on the beach this time of night. Or really most times of days!

She has one of those brown paper cup holders, with four compartments. In it are two hot ciders, and two hot chocolates! The cider is for Yuuki of course!

The Hot Chocolate is hers.

She's sort of sipping a cup of hot chocolate while hovering an inch off the ground with those wings emanating from her feet from the Flier Fin spell. Yuuno is on her shoulder. He's sipping a tiny daisy cup of hot chocolate.

They appear to be waiting!

Yuuki Oshiro has posed:
Yuuki Oshiro is there a few minutes late. Not too bad. She quickly moves to the place and stretches a bit. She gives a little smile to Nanoha and Yuuno. "Hello!" She giggles a little and notes that Nanoha is in her Barrier Jacket. "I guess I should suit up."

Quickly she she takes her bracelet off. "Shining Star, Set Up!" Immediately the area is flooded with Violet light and yellow stars falling from the sky. Her clothing vanishes and is promptly replaced with the violet white and pink robed dress barrier jacket. She reaches out as Shining Star shifts taking the form of a staff.

The Henshin ends and she is ready to go. "Alright! I think I'm ready! Oh!! I met some people. I met a magic user who umm chases cards! Oh and a person named Kunzite?"

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi head tilts and listens with a smile. "I dunno anyone that chases cards..." she says softly. "But Kunzite is someone I know. Um. Guy.. with long white hair. And a cape. Right?" she asks. "He got hurt trying to protect a friend once." she says.

"...is he doing okay?" she asks. She hasn't gotten time to check herself.

"Um... right! You wanted to practice, right?" she asks. "Have you been practicing by yourself any?" she asks as she places the cup down, and picks up Yuuno and puts him by the cups.

She ums. "Right. So. Do you want... a virtual session?" she asks. "Or do you want.. a live session. In a barrier. Um."

"The live session'll actually hurt if you get hit. Virtual session is more like a video game!" she insists. "But you actually learn while doing in it." she says.

She then looks serious and dedicated. "It's up to you." she says. "Of course." Because yeah, she can handle the live session.

Yuuki Oshiro has posed:
Yuuki Oshiro smiles a little. "He seemed alright. He is really nice. Oh and yes, his hair is white and was wearing a cape. He sorta got caught when we made a um... barrier." That last word is little more then a whisper. She's a little nervous over it.

"OH Sure! Yes! I've been practicing! I did my first lesson a few days ago. It was... It was really intense. Really scary."

At the mention that a virtual session wouldn't hurt she blinks a few times. Her jaw drops. "SHINING STAR!!! You jerk!" She frowns. "We did a virtual lesson and it actually hurt! I still got the bruises! That is so not fair!"

Shining Star chimes in, "You are alright. The damage will heal. You learned not to accept being hit didn't you? If that was actually a real threat, you'd likely not be here to complain about it. Get over it."

Yuuki makes a little duckface. "We will talk about this later!" She looks over at Nanoha and smiles to her. "You're lucky. Raising Heart doesn't seem to be so talkative!"

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi head tilts. "Raising Heart doesn't have much to say. It was very old, and I am it's first user. It's something like....."

"Eons." chimes in Yuuno. "It was found in an old dig site dating back Eons." he says.

She nods. "It's very old." she finally says. "So it's a little different than most other devices because of that." she says.

< Affirmative, Master. >

She nods. "So. Virtual then." she says. "Oh. It just means... Shining Star shut off the safeties." she says. "It can do that!" she says.

She head tilts. "So. Virtual." she says with a smile. She doesn't seem to dwell on catching others in barriers.

She looks down to Raising Heart. "Raising Heart, set up virtual mode, okay?" she asks.

Raising Heart Beeps compliantly. Then there's a glint. Virtual mode!

Yuuki Oshiro has posed:
Yuuki Oshiro stairs at Shining star and just shakes her head. "You could have done that without me getting hurt and you didn't." She frowns.

"Because training with a safety net gives a false sense of security. If you train without safeties you will be better prepared when the time for training ends."

She shakes her head. "So... Virtual Mode.You too Shining Star. And Safety on. I don't want to actually hurt anyone!" She frowns a little and gets ready.

Shining Star beeps as well and the words appear on her. "Okay so how do we do this?"

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi smiles. "Well first. We need a barrier anyways, else we're leaving a bunch of streaks across the night sky that people will come investigate and we kinda don't want that." she calls out as she has Raising Heart cast the barrier spell- the world falling into whites and grays as a barrier forms.

Yuuno's still down there with the drinks. He waves and takes a sip from his daisy cup.

"Alright. There we go." she says.

"Well!" she says. "We can practice. Or... we can have a mock fight!" she beams.

"Have you fought a proper real opponent yet?" she asks.

"We can do that." she nods matter of factly.

Yuuki Oshiro has posed:
Yuuki Oshiro smiles a little and watches the barrier go up. She smiles. "Oh cool! You can do that too! I thought I might be weird or something, doing a spell that Yuuno was doing. Shining Star Taught me." She smiles a little.

She smiles and nods, "I've not fought a real opponent yet." She smiles and nods. "Okay Lets do this." She gets ready. "Ranged Mode!"

Shining Star Echos the command and the staff quickly changes shape into an arch. A beam of energy extends from one end to the other so it looks like a bow. "Lets do it!"

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi nods and looks down to Raising Heart. "Raising Heart, Cannon Mode." she asks.

The device beeps compliantly as Raising Heart's usually round headpiece becomes square and inset-- and two wings unfurl from the edges in a dramatic fashion.

"Divine Shot." she calls out.

Many, Many small magenta orbs surround Nanoha and she darts backwards-- hard and fast-- and before too long--- orbs begin bursting into an array of bright, magenta lasers as Nanoha begins spamming them-- turning the world between Yuuki and Nanoha into a place that can only be described as 'bullet hell'.

The decentralization of the orbs means shots fire erratically from her location toward's Yuuki at odd angles at times. The shots are many, but also are weak. Going for much saturation over power. Many shots at less power each.

Yuuki Oshiro has posed:
Yuuki Oshiro blinks as she watches Raising Heart shift to Cannon mode. She gets ready to fight and then... What? All of those lasers? "Really!" She quickly Braces herself. "Shining Star. Light Shield!"

She extends her hand and a Midchildan circle appears at her hand as she begins moving. Bullet hell is right. Beams go flying at her and she is trying to take cover behind the smallish shield. It does help and her barrier jacket does soak some up as well. "I got some medicine for you!!!"

She quickly draws back the energy on the bow. "Starlight Shower!" She releases a bolt of magic upward and it explodes into a magical spiral. Then... it starts. Her own version of bullet hell. Its like a shower of arrows raining down. Only if the arrows were magical beams in the shape of stars.

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi throws up her hand. A shield automatically comes to light in front of her- extending out from her hand. A wide, magenta magical circle of the 'Protection' spell. She doesn't need to call it, or cast it. She absorbs the Starlight Shower, and much like her attack against Yuuki, it doesn't absorb more of it. She does /frown/ though at Yuuki, a little. Not a hard frown. But one of concern.

"A moment." she says after the attack's passed.

"Yuuki, has Shining Star not setup your automatic casting?" she asks.

"You shouldn't need to call out a protection spell... you should just be able to do it." she says. "You may not get time to call it out next time." she says.

"Alright." she says as she as levies Raising Heart back down on Yuuki. "Barrel Shot!" she calls out.

< Barrel Shot. > repeats Raising Heart as the magic circle forms over her-- a high speed- higher power blast coming in toward's Yuuki's location.

Yuuki Oshiro has posed:
Yuuki Oshiro looks at Nanoha curiously. She fowns and shakes her head. "I didn't even know about it. I hadn't gotten that far." She looks at Shining Star and smirks.

< I thought it prudent that she learn the spells for when I am not activated. >

"Thanks for the choice." Yuuki sighs and then its back to the fight. "Shining Star, Set up autocasting!" She snaps before watching as Nanoha prepares her attack. "Oh Shoot, Shooting Star!" She calls out and draws back the bow and releases right at the incoming blast.

< Shooting Star. > Her own version of a blast is unleashed and it promptly begins looking like a fastmoving huge star, heading straight for the barrel shot.

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi frowns. She doesn't really like Shining Star's crassness. Is this tough love? or is her device just a /jerk/? She doesn't know, but she's probably going to have some things to say when this is all over as Shooting Star comes in....

She bites her tounge back and instead spouts. "Cross Smasher...."

< Cross Smasher. >

A barrier forms in front of her that suddenly flies forward--- absorbing much of the incoming single attack--- cross countering it-- though the barrier also continues forward- aiming to smash directly into Yuuki- much like a runaway truck that doesn't give any mind to smaller cars on the road.

She begins to dart upwards after at a fast pace--- putting more distance between her and Yuuki.

Yuuki Oshiro has posed:
Yuuki Oshiro blinks. "This might hurt." She quickly raises her hand and focuses. A larger shield forms and soaks up as much as she can before she is knocked backward. She shakes it off. Looking around she tries to find where Nanoha took off too.

She doesn't think to look up right away. When she actually does she sees Nanoha flying! "Oh that is awesome. Can I do that too, Shining Star?"

< Yes, you are able to do that. Do you wish to try? >

"Yes! Lets Fly!" A set of wings form on her feet and she takes off upward. "Woooo! Oh wow this is so cool! I love it!" She giggles and just enjoys the flight.

< Sister you are in a fight. >

Yuuki blinks, "Right! Ummm Staff Mode!" The bow shifts back to a staff and she quickly gets ready. "Orbital Barrage!" Shining Star Echos her and fires a trio of magical beams in an arc towards Nanoha. Once they get close, they will start orbiting Nanoha and discharging magical beams at her.

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi sort of sweatdrops. Has... Has Yuuki never flown before? Yeah. Shining Star just isn't actually /teaching/. Her own flying fin is a /D-rank/ spell. Even a D-class mage can cast it easily!

Yuuki, nor Nanoha are D-rank though, that's for sure!

Orbs fly in around Nanoha and begin discharging. You can't block everything and she knows this, but she grits her teeth and then just closes her eyes and----

Lets her barrier jacket just /soak/ all the hits. Hit after hit--- after hit---

"Reactor Purge."

< Reactor Purge. >--there's a brilliant burst of magenta light that lights up the barrier completely as a wave of pure energy washes out- destroying the orbs and washing over Yuuno and Yuuki as she uses the stored energy to neutralize the orbs before they can continue. An advanced move. An /A/ rank move.

"You're good Yuuki!" she smiles. "But...I kinda. Need to teach your device a lesson...." she says. "In why he should be teaching you things and not holding back...." she says as she uses a flash to suddenly zip upwards in a streak of Magenta. She holds out Raising Heart as she aims it down at Yuuki. Energy begins to gather into a ball. She's pulling all that energy expelled in the barrier- between her and Yuuki towards her-- in specks of tiny dots-- almost like tiny pinpricks of stars. She's off course, also feeding it her own energy.

"This is my most powerful attack! A spell of my own making!" she calls out.

Shining Star should know an S-class attack when it sees one as a TSAB device.

"STARLIGHT!....." < Starlight... >

"BREAKER!...."< ....BREAKER! >

her staff is swung down toward's the ball and a gigantic, powerful beam rends the sky toward's Yuuki. It's about 180 feet wide. Nearly that of half a football field.

Were this an actual 'Starlight Breaker' Yuuno would had probably run by now. And also, there would be a crater from the the middle of the beach, out to the ocean and part ways over the street and into the first block on the other side! There's a reason Nanoha prefers barriers for sure.

Luckily. It's just a fancy light show that if hits, probably makes numbers tick down to zero in Yuuki's Device without the actual force of the hit.

It's probably still /really scary/.

"What does that mean!!!" The girl asks and quickly starts moving as fast as she can to get out of the way but there is no escaping this attack She puts out both hands to shield herself. "STARFIELD BARRIER!" She shouts not exactly knowing what she's saying at this point.

The blast of magenta light bathes everything. If it was not for this being a virtual fight. She'd be passed out in a crater. Right now though she's not passed out in a crater. She's passed out in the sand.

Slowly Yuuki stirs and shakes off what all just happened. "I... I feel a little drained. What the heck." She blinks a few times and uses the staff to stand up.

What happened? She cast a spell out of instinct A barrier shield formed around her. It soaked up much of the attack before it vanished.

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi gently spins downwards in a short spiral and lands. She nods a bit and turns off the barrier. This fight's over. It wasn't about winning, but about learning and training. And she doesn't like what she learned. She isn't disappointed in Yuuki. No.

"Shining Star!" she huffs. "Be it far from me how to tell a device how to train their wielder but you need to actually teach!...and train!" she says. "Auto-guard is really basic! So is flying!" she says. "They're the first things Raising Heart taught me!" she says.

She wonders if this is how the TSAB trains their recruits. Ugh. No wonder people have such a low opinion of them if that's the case! and why all members she met have sticks up their butt! >,<.

< Lesson One is to face one's fears. That is the only lesson we have done aside from basic spells. I have not instructed her in Flight or the finer points of using a Device yet. To be fair I am not a TSAB Instructor. I am a Device. >

Meanwhile, Yuuki is still on the ground. She used far more power then she knew she had access to in one spell and she doesn't even know what she cast. Quietly she works her way to her feet. "What happened?" She asks quietly.

< You cast a spell that was far above what you have learned so far. It was an effective defensive spell. >

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi scowls, yeah. She really doesn't like Shining Star. Okay yeah. This is why people don't like the TSAB if this is how their usual devices act. She'll need to ask Lindy-san if that's common.

"Huff. I don't believe that Shining Star! You're supposed to be a friend, a partner!" she says.

She shakes her head. "Anyways. Let's relax now!" she says. "I have Hot Cider and Cocoa!" she says with a bounce and smile!
