Cast of Characters: Ikiko Hisakata, Ayana, Sakura Kinomoto

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
The late November air is especially brisk this evening -- perfect for a date of having hot drinks and warm cake with your girlfriend. Ikiko and Ayana are walking back home after just such a date, hand in hand as they stroll along the street after leaving the restaurant.

"That was tasty," Ikiko smiles as they walk along. She glances over at the foxgirl, and the corners of her mouth quirk upward in an impish smile. "Hold still, there's still a bit of cake left on your--"

Smooch! <3

(...well, there had been a few crumbs still on the kitsune's lips. Not anymore, though!)
Ayana has posed:
Hot drinks and warm cake are just the thing to cheer up an otherwise gloomy kitsune. Despite the pleasure of her relationship, Ayana has been far from pleasant company, lately. School has gotten harder, the other students have been picking on her more, and of course there's been the problem where she sometimes--entirely by accident--winds up draining the people around her for energy. That, at least, is usually when she's distressingly upset.

This probably makes the date of warm drinks and cakes a ploy by Ikiko to distract her girlfriend from the gloomy mood, but if Ayana noticed, she certainly hasn't said anything about it.

"Hold still," Ikiko calls, and Ayana blinks in surprise, stopping stock still.

She blinks again when she's kissed, and a little bit of redness comes to her face. Those fuzzy black fox ears on her head stand upright, and she peers at Ikiko confusedly.

Embarassed? Probably, but more importantly, "Hey, I was saving those for later!"
Sakura Kinomoto has posed:
Sakura Kinomoto gasped, collapsing to the ground, panting and weezing before just going to the ground. "I-I... I give up..." she groaned.

"Sakura, you can't give up like that! Dash will get away!" "L-let it," she told Kero with a groan. "M-my legs feel like jelly..."

"But what about dash? You almost had it with wood!"

"YOU chase it then..."

Tomoyo just giggled and recorded all of it.

- Two miles away -

Dash darted across roof tops, its body aching, battered and beat up. The plant card had gotten it good, not it lookedl ike some poor abused kitten, moving along the walls. Finally, it ran past the two, overhead, coincidentally making its way into the apartment complex and stopping outside the little pond. It leaned forward and started drinking.

The thing was like... no cat they'd likely ever seen. Quite a bit like an espeon, to be sure. And it had a strange alure of magic to it. However, it looked heavily abused. It had little cuts and scrapes all over its body, covered in dirt and was that... thorns?!

Gasp! it must have been somebodies magical girl mascot, attacked by the powers of darkness! Or... something...
Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata giggles slightly as they make their way to the front gate. "If you wanted leftovers, we could've bought some cake to go," she points out, reaching up to gently skritch the kitsune's ears.

As she enters the gate, Ikiko pauses as a bit of unexpected movement catches her eye. Some sort of critter, drinking from the pond? Well, it's not unheard of for bold animals to come in and take a drink, but they certainly don't look like that. Probably magical, given its slight glow, and certainly injured.

At least she has an idea on how to deal with that. "Ayana, could you go and get one of the dog food cans from my room, please?" she asks her girlfriend. Whatever the magical creature actually is, it at least looks canid! "We appear to have an injured magical animal over near the pond."
Ayana has posed:
Ayana sticks her tongue out at Ikiko's very obvious response, but then her ears are getting scritched and all thought of arguing--even mock arguing--vanish as she leans into the petting.

This affords Ikiko first glance of the creature in the yard. By the time Ikiko addresses it with her, Ayana is thoroughly confused. "Magical animal?" she asks, peering at the creature. Oh, huh. Weird.

"It looks like a pokemon," she notes, absently, then shrugs and dashes off towards the house at high speed.
Sakura Kinomoto has posed:
The little pokemon-like creature just drank from the water, either ignoring them or just thirsty. Probably both. After all, it did seem to be at least BASED on a cat and well, they were just PEOPLE. Barely worth its notice.
Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata gently walks over to the creature and sits down within arms reach of it. Up close, it definitely looks like a cross between a fox and a cat; well, magic does odd things, after all. "I don't suppose you speak Japanese, do you?" Ikiko asks the creature, before switching to caninespeak. "Or do you find it easier to speak this way?"
Sakura Kinomoto has posed:
That made Dash freeze. It blinked a few times before lifting its head from the water and turned to her. "Kyu?" it said. It sounded like... a mix between a bird's gentle chirp and a kitten's meow. Clow obviously made the sound for the express purpose of being adorable. Also, that was so NOT an animal sound. Well, maybe SOME foxes. Definitely not a normal animal. But even if it couldn't speak to her, it seemed able to understand her.

It then gave a low growl, taking a step back from her. Well, it was wounded... but if she didn't try anything too fast, it wouldn't make any moves to attack.
Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
"Not much for talking, huh?" Ikiko smiles kindly. She reaches over slowly, presenting her fingers for the critter to sniff, then gently rubs Dash's ears -- well, at least where they don't seem to be injured, at least.

"Don't worry, we can take care of you for a while," she murmurs, continuing to pet the fox-like creature for as long as it stays within reach.
Ayana has posed:
*Thump*. Ayana's fall from the window is not graceful, but it is effective. She lands hard, absorbs the fall with her legs, then sraightens back up. Good thing the girl wears shorts beneath her skirts.

Bounding back towards Ikiko with the can of dogfood in hand, it is about the time she reaches the pair that she slows and realises exactly what Ikiko is doing. Ayana's ears flatten back against the side of her head, and she glares at the little animal almost jealously. But she doesn't say anything; just offers the can towards Ikiko. "I forgot a can opener," she grumbles. "Do you need me to get one or can you use your claws?"
Sakura Kinomoto has posed:
Dash growled a little, but then did sniff the fingers before leaning into the scritches. "Kyu~" it chirped, closing its eyes and enjoying the gentle scritches. It did tense up a bit when Ayana ran over, but relaxed a moment later, allowing the attention to continue.
Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
"I'd rather not have to henshin where my family can see me," Ikiko points out to her girlfriend. She had almost forgotten about the small box of non-poptop cans of dogfood; it was something she had picked up earlier that day to bring to the Animal Care club tomorrow, and as such it was sitting in an obvious place in their room.
Ayana has posed:
Ayana lets out a soft huff of frustration, then takes the can back and bites into the can with her teeth. Sharp fangs pierce the thin metal easily, and she tears it away, cutting herself only a little. Sucking on the blood, she offers the can back to Ikiko with a roll of her eyes.
Sakura Kinomoto has posed:
The Dash would growl a little when they did their thing. Weird, why was she-- It jarred a little at the woman biting through THAT. It was still a mildly intelligent creature and that was metal. But it didn't run away.

However, when the food was offered, it leaned in and sniffed it a few times, before pulling back. It thwapped its paw out once, sending the canned food away with a disgruntled. "Kyu!" Ah, seemed it was a picky eater.
Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata kisses Ayana's injury after accepting the can of dogfood. "Don't worry, beloved," she murmurs to the kitsune. "I'm only planning on being the caretaker for this little one, not dating it." She gives her girlfriend a wink and an impish smirk. "If it makes you feel better, think about it as practice for when we're both out of high school and are thinking of adopting some kits of our own," Ikiko grins.

The sometime-wolfgirl raises her eyebrow at the small creature's refusal of the food. "Well, it was worth a shot for a first attempt," she shrugs, standing up and retrieving the rejected can. "I think we have some leftovers we can snag; want to come in where it's warmer?" That last is said with an outstretched hand, offering the magical animal an arm to curl up in or ride on.
Ayana has posed:
Ayana is stunned not by the kiss, but by the talk of kits. Kits. Well okay technically if she were still a fox, she'd probably already have kits of her own. But that's beside the point, because she knows Ikiko means human kits.

Luckily for Ayana, Ikiko's stunning words are lost to her when the creature bats the food away. Instinctively, Ayana's eyes narrow at the little thing, and she growls angrily before diving after the food. Scooping up the can with her hands, she peels the top the rest of the way open, then glares at the little creature before pulling out a handful of the gushy food and sticking it in her mouth. "Ungrateful little fiend," she grumbles unhappily.
Sakura Kinomoto has posed:
The Dash just glares at her, "Kyu," it chirps again, before looking to Ikiko. It eyed his arm for a little bit, before taking a step closer. It was favoring it's left legs, its front right one had a big cut on the bottom. It took another step forward, then jumped into her arms.

Maybe it was Ayana's imagination... but was Dash smirking at her when Ikiko wasn't looking? Either way, table scraps worked. That's what Clow used to feed it.
Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata gently skritches the creature with her free hand. "As long as you don't steal her jerky, I'm sure she'll eventually be okay with you," she informs the critter with a gentle smile, then her face takes a more serious expression. "I mean it about the jerky, though: while she doesn't like sharing my affection, she's hates sharing her jerky even more," she warns it.

She manages to stifle a giggle at Ayana's defiant eating of the dogfood. "I've heard it's an acquired taste," Ikiko points out. Well, some of the dogs that are merely lost are still somewhat picky about the food they eat, but the strays she often visit are more concerned with filling their stomachs than the particulars of what they scarf down.
Ayana has posed:
Admittedly, leftovers do sound better than dogfood. But the nerve of just letting the dogfood go to waste! Ayana defiantly takes another bite, then sticks her tongue out at the little beast as she follows Ikiko ack towards the house. "Why aren't we just taking it to the pound or something?" she asks with a grumble. "It's probably just going to eat all of our good food and then you'll have to learn to like dogfood, too."
Sakura Kinomoto has posed:
The Dash just stared up at Ikiko, cocking its head slightly to the side. "Kyu?" it chirped yet again. Maybe it was part bird as well? Magical animals were oh so confusing.

It then turned and glared at Ayana. "Kyu!" Oh it would just pound her! Actually that would probably end poorly for Dash. But it still glowered at her. "Kyuuuuu..."
Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
"Because I don't think the pound has any magical employees," Ikiko points out. "And trying to explain this little one to non-magical people probably wouldn't end well. As for the food... well, unless it can shapeshift, it has a lot less body to keep fed."

She does pause at the doorway to her family's place. "We should probably figure out a name for you," she notes to the magical animal. "Possibly something starting with 'kyu', although that might be a bit much like Pokemon. Or maybe something starting with the English letter 'Q'..."
Ayana has posed:
"I have a lot less body to keep fed!" Ayana points out as she follows Ikiko to the doorway, "And I still eat five times more than you do." She sighs unhappily, then opens the door again and motions for Ikiko to go inside. "It can't sleep in our room."
Sakura Kinomoto has posed:
The Dash glanced up at her. "Kyu?" it said curiously, confused by the notion. It already had a name. "Kyu." Clow named it Dash. Why that other girl thought SHE could capture it, it didn't know. It wasn't Clow. CLOW was her master, not her. It gave a cute lil cough. "Kyu ku..."

Can't sleep in their room? Well it would just see about that! It didn't let some random fox girl tell her what to do! "Kyu," it said derisively at ayana.
Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Well, that certainly sounded like an attempt to talk! "Already have a name, huh?" Ikiko guesses, then gives it an encouraging smile. "If you can find a way to let us know what it is, so much the better!"

Her face brightens as an idea comes to mind. "Maybe we can have you tap out your name on a character chart," she suggests. "Or possibly even write it, although that might be tricky unless you can use your tail as a calligraphy brush."

She turns and gives Ayana a kiss. "You have a fox body and a human body, plus the ability to change between them freely," Ikiko points out. "Both are lovely and cuddleable, but if it scales anything like when I henshin, it takes a lot of calories to keep you fed." She gives the critter in her arms another skritch. "Small and single form? Probably requires less food."
Ayana has posed:
"You're assuming it's only got the one form," Ayana points out with a sigh. But the kiss was nice, at least. Closing the door behind them, Ikiko toes her boots off and slips into house slippers, then sticks her tongue out at the little creature again. "It still can't sleep in our room."
Sakura Kinomoto has posed:
Dash gives another little kyu. Write with its tail? Humans were so weird. Still, she was going to feed it, so the human wasn't entirely useless. The other one seemed to have magic, too. That was a little bit more concerning. It lifted up its her paw and started chewing on it, trying to get the thorn out. Blasted plant. Why was it even following that girl? That girl was NOT her master.

Miles away, Sakura sneezed.

If given a chart to tap out its name, it would tap out D-A-S-H. Oh? If only it was rainbow colored. Truly it was some kind of fanservice mascot. Named Dash AND looks like an espeon? Of course, when it was finally fed actual food, it... would at least eat it after sniffing for a bit.
