2215/The gamer girl

Synopsis:	A new girl comes to school and meets with Amu. She has a chara and everything! This means the guardians have a new ally, right?... Right?

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori had been out and about, school had been difficult but, afterwards, cool and spicy Amu was standing with her hands in her pockets, back right foot against the wall. A few of the other girls were occasionally glancing towards her and, well, it was no wonder. She was the Joker, one of the more... interesting people in the school, always drawing a crowd as one of the guardians.

Though, airi had likely heard of them by now. The guardians. At least the boys. The prince who was so cute. The jack who was so tough. Nagi who was... nagi. Nades who was nades. And then Amu, the wild card. Dangerous. Mysterious. Punched out a car a few weeks ago. Managed to get expelled for punching out the principal, but was back now. Even the teachers feared her.

Yeah, none of that was true but poor airi likely didn't know that. She was actually waiting, glancing at her clock. She had hoped to meet with some of the others, but they told her not to wait too long so she was guessing they wouldn't be able to go. Her lil charas floated around her head, mumbling to themselves.

Airi Nakahara has posed:
"I don't want you out right now." The rather nerdy girl whispers into her bag for the briefest of moments. She is thankfully a good distance away from Amu and her Charas. Otherwise things could get a little sketchy for day one.

"But why! OH come on. Its stuffy in here!" The little voice responds."

The violet haired girl sighs and whispers back, "Because of our job. What if there are others here who have people like you. Then they will be curious about what we're up to. Its better this way. I dunno just crash in your egg." She states. The protests end as the hidden chara does just that.

Quietly Airi walks towards the school. She is technically a new student so all she has are the passing rumors of Guardians and a girl who punched out a principal. She doesn't put much weight on those various points.

Quietly she moves towards Amu. She sees the three Charas but does her best to ignore them. Better to play things safe right now. "Umm Excuse me? Can you point me in the direction of the Principal's office? I need to give them my paperwork. I'm a new student here." She gives a little nervous smile.

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori glanced up, cocking an eye. She gave a very 'I'll kick your butt' impression. She looked her up and down before giving a curt nod. "Come on, follow me," she said before stepping off the wall and giving a sigh.

"So, where you from?"

"Ask her what hobbies she likes!" Ran said. "Ask her where she gets her clothes!" Miki said. "Ask her where she's from!" Su said, the three little chars flying around her head. She gave a dismissive wave of ehr hand, scattering them. "I'm Amu, nice to meet you," she said, glancing back. "Where you from?" Something about the way she looked back at the girl reallllly gave this 'I'm going to beat you up' impression.

Airi Nakahara has posed:
The girl quietly follows Amu. "Hi. I'm Airi." She states softly in an a distanced tone. She continues moving along with her bag. "I'm from the Northern Kanto Region. My parents raised me there. I only recently moved to Tokyo."

Its a bit awkward for Airi at the moment. This woman seems rather abrassive and that is putting it lightly. She is quiet for the most part. Her mind wondering even as she reaches into her bag and pulls out a tablet. A paper one, nothing flashy. As she pulls that out she is careful not to draw any attention to what else is in that bag. Namely the egg containing her own Chara.

That is another thing. Part of her is fine with playing the fool. But THREE CHARAS?! Holy crap! Part of her wants to freak out over the trio of Charas. Whats worse is they are curious about her and asking questions. Part of her wants to answer them but she doesn't.

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori nodded. "Nice to meet you, Airi." She glanced back and... "That's a pretty name. Never been to Northern Kanto. Is it nice?" she asked, before turning back again.

"Ask her why she's here!" Ran asked. "Ask her if she's going to be here for long!" Miki asked. "Ask her what flavor cookies she likes!" Su said.

"I'm part of the guardians, not sure if you know us or not. We're... like a student body representative group," she said with a wave of her hand. "I'm the Joker. There's also the King's chair, queen's chair, ace and jack. If you need anything, try to find us and we'll see what we can do, okay." She walked with her bag over her shoulder. Like, she wasn't being openly hostile or anything. But they were getting a LOT of looks. She glanced down to the tablet. "Do you like to draw?" she asked.

Airi Nakahara has posed:
Airi Nakahara smiles a little. She's actually able to smile and let out some of the desire to laugh at the barrage of questions. "Oh Yes it was nice. From what I could enjoy of it. I didn't get to, too much. My family was really poor and stuff. So I only really went to school and to home."

Then a fresh barrage of questions. Inquisitive Charas. it makes her want to laugh but she holds that back. By all rights she seems the serious sort. Then Amu goes into the whole thing about the Guardians. "Huh. I've heard rumors about the Seiyou Guardians. Sounds like a pretty cool club."

Then the question. She looks at her tablet. "Oh! Drawing is alright. I do that frequently. but umm... Its not what want to do with my life and stuff. I had to learn how to draw to write story boards. I want to be a Video Game Developer someday."

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori nodded. "Really? I'm sorry to hear that. I'm guess not so much now? Drawing story boards? That's pretty cool."

"We tried playing nice. Chara change!"

"Wait, no--" And then her lil plus sign turned into a heart and she was right by Airi. "Oh, let me see! I bet you've done all kinds of really cool and awesome things, right? I really don't know much about video games but I've seen a few really good ones!" And then the chara change ended. And amu was there. Her face bright. Freaking. Red.

She quickly started walking again, steam rising off her face from embarrassment.

Airi Nakahara has posed:
Airi Nakahara blinks a few times. Its always a little surprising when a Chara Change takes place. Both for the person and for the Chara. Its because of that, that Airi doesn't even really acknowledge what happened. Just another day. That could stand out though. Still it is a little awkward when she suddenly has Amu peering at her work.

What Amu will find is the story board for a survival horror game. One about a family trying to survive in the woods while Zombies are trying to get them. It has the backstory written out. Its got different things that can be made. Really its well thought out and has potential to be fun.

Then the Chara Change ends and Amu is a little peeved. Airi wants to comfort her but if she does that her own secret will come raging out and if that happens, she will never have her dream... at least thats what she was told. So she takes the next best route. She shrugs it off.

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori nodded, blushing so red as she kept walking. "So, errr. Yes. It's, ummm, nice. It looks a little... scary, I guess. Not that I'd be scared of anything like that. But some might. But yeah, looks interesting if you like that kind of thing. I'm not really into games much, myself."

She glanced back and glarrrrrred at her charas. Then looked to Airi and smiled. A genuine smile. "though... if that's what you want to do with your life, never give up on it, Airi. Follow your heart and it'll always guide you to where it belongs." She stopped outside the office. "Here. If you want, I can wait around a bit, show you around town after? If you're new and all."

Airi Nakahara has posed:
Airi Nakahara smiles softly, "I would really like that. I umm. I've been in town for about 6 months. In a umm... Private school. But I didn't get to leave sadly. I was sorta stuck there." She doesn't say where. "They had this whole thing about outside interference."

When she mentions the game, She shrugs, "Its cool. One thing about the gaming industry is, you can't please everyone. Some people like Survival Horror, Some like first person shooters, Others RPG, Still others all that matters is that you can play online with friends. You make a game you're proud of and just hope people like it. Its all you can really do."

She flips oven her tablet again and this time to a different game. The story board shows a story about a princess who needs to save her kingdom from the King's evil brother. All sorts of adventures are shown. Its clearly a roleplaying game. "This one, a lot of boys would be really upset over. I think it would be fun!"

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori nodded, glancing over to her and smiling. "Good! I'll show you around when you get back. and yeah, I don't know a lot about games, sorry. Only games I even have are sudoku on my phone. Even that I barely touch it."

She blinked and looked at the game, cocking her head to the side. "Oh, it looks interesting. so kind of like a book, but you play it out?" She paused a little, trying to grasp that. "... Be upset over? Why? Does it insult boys or something? It's just a game, right?"

Airi Nakahara has posed:
Airi Nakahara smiles and shakes her head, "A lot of boys, Especially ones over in America like to think the gaming world revolves around them. The idea of a female player character tends to be a little iffy at times. The idea that this whole thing revolves around the girl becoming the hero that is needed really is a hard pill for them to swallow. Especially one that doesn't look like some supermodel." she shrugs and giggles a little.

Suddenly, from nowhere a larger guy snaps away the tablet. He looks at it then at her with a sharp smile. "Well isn't that cute. Little nerdy girl is going to make video games. You've probably never even played a game. News flash, babe. Look at yourself. You don't have the money, You don't have the look and you definitely don't have the skills to even be a normal gamer, let alone a game maker." He tosses the book on the tablet on the ground and snickers.

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori nodded, frowning. "Well, that just sounds stupid," she said with a shrug. "Luckily I don't know any guys like that," she said with a shrug. "And frankly, that's stupid. Anyone can do whatever they like, gender doesn't matter. What matters is what's in the heart."

She blinked and looked down. And then she took a step forward, glaring up at the guy. "And so what if she wants to make video games? there's nothing about them that says she can't. And since when did money decide who you can and can't be?" There were people whispering now. Cool and spicy amu was getting in the guy's face! They'd once seen her punch out a car and only get a cracked knuckle! Well, okay, not seen it, but... She then knelt down and picked up the book, turning her back to the guy... giving him one of her 'cool and spicy' looks, before turning back to airi. "Don't listen to that idiot. You can be whatever you dream of."

Airi Nakahara has posed:
Airi is Seething. She stands there, steam rising from her head. One thing is certain, she isn't cool and she isn't spicy. She's a geek who just got her passion trampled on. The light glares off her glasses adding to an intimidating gaze.

Suddenly the flower pin in her hair changes to a video game controller. "How about you put your money where your mouth is! I challenge you to the dancing game at the Crown Center! I've got a thousand yen that says you can't beat me. If I win, you admit that I am the better gamer and you pay up. If you win, I will agree with you and pay you. Sound like a deal." She is still glaring.

The guy looks at her and then at Amu. "Oh crap... You! You're the Joker! You punched out the principal! I umm.. I'm sorry. I didn't know she was hanging out with the guardians!" But then Airi speaks up. He gives a twisted grin. "Its on. I will see you there in a bit." He walks off laughing.

As the small crowd thins, Airi's hairpin turns back to a flower and she just facepalms. "Dammit."

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori glowered up at him, before sighing and nodding to airi. "Don't mind that jerk," she said with a wave of her hand. "You'll kick his butt," she said, looking her up and down. Was that a... she looked around. Could it be?

Ran, su, and miki suddenly got RIGHT up in Airi's face. Like, reaching out to touch her nose close... the three just... staring...

Could it be? Was that a... did she have one? Did she have her own chara?

Airi Nakahara has posed:
Airi Nakahara removes her hand from her face only to have Ran, Su, and Miki right in front of her and in her face. Crap. She shakes her head. Anything that close to someone's face would cause them to back away. And it does. She promptly moves a few strands of hair out of her face before frowning. "Ummm. I will be right back."

She slips into the principal's office and drops off her paperwork. Quietly she rubs her head again. "I am so in trouble. Shimofuri-san is going to kill me." She opens her bag. "Vidya? Come on out."

"Woo Hoo! Its about time! It was getting stuffy in there! And you should really clean it out in there. Woo!" The Chara giggles and comes flying out.

"Lets do this." Airi frowns and opens the door. She walks out with Vidya with her. "Ummm... hi?" She states not to Amu but to Ran, Su, and Miki. "Sorry I just... I didn't want to freak anyone out and stuff. You know? While Vidya here is a good friend and well, Me I guess, Sometimes things get complicated."

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori grinned and nodded. She then took Airi's hand and started pulling her along. "Don't worry, come with me," she said with a smile. And now there was more gossiping and talking. She took her to the guardian's garden and then turned back, grinning. "Welcome to the guardian's garden. Now, I know what you're thinking. But we're more than just the guardians here. All of us are character bearers." She turned and walked towards the table. "Normally tadase," she said that name with a happy grin. "Would be here and, well, he'd explain things. But I suppose it's up to me. First, do you have any questions about your chara? I'll do my best to explain everything I can."

She turned around, arms crossed, a big grin on her face. "And no, most people in the school don't know about the charas."

Airi Nakahara has posed:
Airi Nakahara blinks a few times as she's pulled along. Then its out to the Garden where Amu finally begins speeking. She looks around and smiles a little. Its really nice there. "So this is where the Guardian's meet? This is really cool! Its really a nice place! I like it! I bet its really pretty in the spring and summer months right?" She smiles softly.

When asked if she needed to know anything about the Chara's she just smiles a little. "I think I understand about them. Vidya's been around for a few years now. I trust her with all I am. She's really sweet. And a little nuts."

"Says you!" Vidya giggles and sticks her tongue out at Airi.

Airi makes a little face, "That does it! Tonight we are playing and I'm going to show you why you're the Chara and I'm the person who had the dream in the first place!" She laughs playfully.

"Oh It is on! You are so going to lose again!" Vidya comments as she sits on Airi's shoulder.

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori grinned and smiled to her, taking her hand. "Good. And... this is special, you know? Vidya represents who you want to be. Your dreams. So trust her, okay? I'm not sure if she gives the best advice, but as long as you follow your heart, you'll do good by her."

She gave that genuine smile and gave off a whole air of warmth now. "This is Ran, Miki and Su, my guardians. I'll let the others introduce theirs when they meet them. Tell me, I know you can chara change, but can you charactor transformation?" She then blinked. "OH! Right, x-eggs! I should warn you about those. If you see any black eggs, like these eggs, but with a big X on them, let me know. Those are x-eggs. They're caused when a person's heart gives up on their dream. I can purify them, though. and... don't worry about it. They're not your responsibility or anything, so just let me know if you see them, okay?"

Took her hand again. "Now, you've seen the garden, I'll show you around town a bit!" She was a bit direct. The girls moved over to Vidya and introduced themselves as well.

Miki smiled. "So you like to draw, too?"

Airi Nakahara has posed:
Airi Nakahara nods and smiles. "Oh yes. She has helped me so much. If not for her I'd have given up on my dream long ago. I just don't think I could do this without her." She smiles to Vidya and the chara just smiles back. Its a clear they have a solid relationship.

"Nice to meet you Ran, Miki, and Su." She smiles a little." Then there is the question of transformation. She thinks a few moments and looks at Vidya. She shrugs.

She hates the idea of lying to a possible friend but then she is reminded of what she was taught. The things she has had pounded into her head by Easter Corperation. This is not a friend. This is not an acquaintance. This is an enemy and if this enemy succeeds she will never be able to have her dream. "No. I've heard it was possible. I just never thought it would work for Vidya and I."

She smiles, "Okay! Sounds like fun! I can't wait to see more of the city. I seen the crown center and the park but... thats about all."

When Miki moves over to her ans asks about drawing, she smiles and nods, "I do like to draw. I do a lot more with computers though. I have been teaching myself how to code and stuff. I think I am getting close to making my first little game but its really tough!"

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori nodded, leading her along. "Okay, well, arcade and part. So let's show you the museum, then, okay? And there's an ice rink and a zoo." She glanced back. "So, what brings you here, anyway? Your parents find new work?"

She then gasped. "Really? You've actually almost made your own game? I'd absolutely love to try it! I don't really go on the computer much, though. Will I need it for that?" she definitely was NOT a gamer.

Airi Nakahara has posed:
Airi Nakahara frowns, "Yes. You could say that I guess." She scowls at the thought of her Father. "My mom did anyway. My dad was supposed to but his idea of work is a lot different then my mom's." She stops talking about him. She still thinks very little of that man and wouldn't mind him vanishing. She shakes it off. "Oh Museum and a zoo? Okay thats really cool!" She smiles

Then Miki is going off. "Its nothing flashy. I am trying to program a simply board game. Like those logic puzzles and stuff. Its tricky. I'm doing my best with it though." She nods, "To code, yes. That is all done on the computer. Learning the code is really tricky but you just gotta tell the computer what to do!"

Amu Hinamori has posed:
Amu Hinamori nods as she follows along, heading to the zoo first. "And we can get ome ice cream, too. Just consider it a welcome to the town treat, okay Airi?" she said with a big grin. She really was friendly once you got past the initial burn. Hard to believe the rumors about her.

Miki nodded. "Well, if you ever need any help. Amu's art has been getting a LOT better and I'm always there to help when needed."

Amu blushed. "W-well, I'm not that good yet. but I am practicing..."

Airi Nakahara has posed:
Airi Nakahara smiles a little, "That sounds really good. I've not had ice cream in a long while." She follows along. Amu really is kinda nice. Now she's really doubting that she actually punched out the principal. Let alone a bus or a car or whatever variation of the rumor was. Then Theres Miki again.

"Oh I will let you know. Its really fun stuff. I love playing games. Its great. I mean I don't have to think about things. I can just enjoy myself. Its a peaceful thing. I wanna share that with people."

Amu Hinamori nodded and glanced back again, stopping by the ice cream stall, glancing up. "Okay, what would you like? And... I think that's a wonderful dream. If it makes you happy, never give up on it. I know it might be hard at times but... I've met so many people who are just so amazing. And all they had to do was never give up. Hey. If you like it that much, maybe we can play sometime. Though I'm not any good, heh heh. sorry."

Airi Nakahara has posed:
Airi Nakahara smiles softly. That smile changes though, become more and more forced. She sighs a little. Vidya whispers something in her ear, quietly. Airi nods slowly. "Ummm. I just remembered something. I need to go. Its a thing that I have to do!" She quickly takes off running.

Standing not far from the ice cream stand, watching Airi, is a man in all black. She circles around to him and he starts. "What are you doing? We didn't send you to Seiyou to spend time with the guardians. We sent you there for one purpose And making friends is not it. Do you want to be a game developer or not, Nakahara?" He talks down to her.

Airi frowns and looks at the man, "I am at a school and that Guardian was asking me a lot of questions. I couldn't exactly just run away. Don't worry. Back off and let me do my job. Things will be fine!" She snaps and walks off.
