A day at the museum | |
---|---|
Date of Scene: | 31 December 2016 |
Location: | Mitakihara/Pikarigaoka - King Penguin Park |
Synopsis: | An attack on the museum leads Asclepius and Kunzite to fend of a weird curator, while Tsubasa sword fights Unmei, nearly killing the poor girl in the end. |
Cast of Characters: | Unmei, Kunzite, Daisuke Hansuke, Tsubasa Kazanari |
- Unmei has posed:
The museum was packed, with dozens of kids walking about, looking at the exhibit. Of course it was. Weapons and armor from one of Japan's bloodiest eras? Who wouldn't want to see them? The weapons were of course behind a glass case and the curator was even walking the rounds, doing his best to greet the people as they walked(especially those who were known to make sizable donations).
All in all, it was seeming to be quite the wonderful day. The museum was practically packed.
One figure made her way down the halls, her hands gently stroking against the glass as she walked, always staying just a little behind the curator. Until, finally, she stopped. In front of the case holding some of the soldier's swords.
'That one.' A silent voice said and, slowly, a smile formed on the girl's face. She'd never done anything like this before. She couldn't deny it was a little exciting... Her eyes focused on the curator.
Soon.
- Kunzite has posed:
Crowds are difficult to navigate in. Which is why Kazuo is casually abusing his height, just a little, to help clear a path for the high-schooler he is with. ... also for the two boys aged twelve and eight who have managed to lose track of their probably-by-now-frantic parents. Not for their sister. The six-year-old is taking advantage of the exhibit area's high ceilings by sitting on Kazuo's shoulders, busily being a human flag for parental attention, and intermittently trying to direct the whole group by tugging hopefully on handfuls of white hair to try to guide him in the direction she wants to go. This is proving less than useful, so she's wailing her appeals to Daisuke instead. "Can we look at the spears? Please? Pleaaaaase? I never get to see the spears, they're always up too high!"
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
A tiny princess apparently rides Kazou's shoulders like he was a gallant horse. This is just slightly amusing to Daisuke Hansuke, who has accompined Kazuo along to the musesum.
"Come on Kazuo let's go to the spears. It'll just be a minute. And besides. We'll figure out where these kids parents are soon." he says. "I'm sure the staff knows by now. Probably. Maybe. We should let someone know soon." he offers.
- Tsubasa Kazanari has posed:
"Entering the exhibit, let me know if you notice anything." Tsubasa whispers as she enters the exhibit, and then the popstar heads in, almost certainly turning some eyes with that distinctive hairstyle. She's wearing her Verone school uniform, but alone. There's not even the bodyguards one might expect a girl with her level of fame to have with her, though she seems comfortable alone.
She notices Kazuo, and her eyes briefly linger on the guy. She reminds herself that, if Tuxedo Kamen kept his word, he wouldn't know that the two of them have met before. Regardless, his presence is interesting, so she keeps an eye on where he's going. "Seen anything?" She whispers to whomever.
- Unmei has posed:
The currator of course started to gravitate towards the woman after a bit. "Ah, miss Kazanari! Such a pleasure to have one of your renown make her way here." Already a crowd was starting to gather around her, whispering and murmuring to themselves.
The girl took the distraction to disappear into one of the employee only areas.
The curator smiled down at her. "Please, if you'd like, I'd be happy to answer any questions you have about the exhibits." The man's chest practically burst with pride.
Unfortunately for kun, he was soon finding that other wayward children were gravitating towards him. All for a chance to try and climb the kunz tree. The word 'up' was being uttered every few seconds in his vicinity.
- Kunzite has posed:
Kazuo exhales, nods to Daisuke at risk of hairpulling, and turns in the requested direction. "Soon," he mutters.
"But then we don't get to see the swords," the eight-year-old complains, and Daisuke is probably the only one present who has any chance of interpreting Kazuo's nonexpression as 'didn't I have to go through this particular hell once already, why exactly am I volunteering for a second round again'. "Swords are better than stupid spears."
"Actually," Kazuo says, keeping his tone neutral, "spears were preferred over swords, in those days."
There's a blink up at Kazuo, and the boy's "What?" is echoed by the girl's "Really?"
"Really. People who fought on foot wanted the reach so they could fight people on horseback. People on horseback needed the reach to keep the people on foot back from their horses. People did fight with all kinds of things -- there were more swords made in that century and a half than any other time in Japan's history -- but spears and the new firearms were the most important."
... possibly he shouldn't have started talking about this, given that he seems to have attracted deeply avid attention. Then again, maybe keeping his mouth shut wouldn't have helped. "Ask your parents," he tells the first new stray. And the second, nodding him calmly back toward the mother with her back turned not five feet away. At the third, he glances back to Daisuke. "I feel like the Pied Piper of Hamelin," he says. "That's a German story, not Japanese. Where's the Raskoph boy? This should be his problem."
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Daisuke Hansuke replies. "But none of us have a flute or a fife or whatever." he says, as kids begin to crowd Kunzite. He can't help but be a little amused, but then he does look down at the others. "Come on now, go back to your parents or group, okay?" he asks politely with a smile.
"They'll be able to take you." he smiles. He's used to dealing with small children. He deals with his fair share of them. Usually.
- Tsubasa Kazanari has posed:
Tsubasa makes a mildly annoyed expression in the direction of the curator briefly, and then shakes her head. "I'm just looking over some things for an assignment, no need to make any fuss about it." Then she moves onwards, closer to Kazuo, still keeping her eyes open as she approaches the other center of unwanted attention. "You know your history." She mentions softly, "Are you a teacher?"
- Unmei has posed:
The curator looks annoyed, but then walks off, leaving her be. The kids don't leave, unfortunately. However, a few parents manage to get their spawn under control and to leave the nice boy alone.
The curator heads off towards the employee only area...
'He's coming.'
Unmei smiled and then waved her hands over her heart, Seven rings appeared and then threads began to flow out from them, enveloping her and weaving new garments onto her body, her original clothes disappearing under them. Her white hair turned a golden glimmering color before braiding and her eyes moved to match. Her make up disappeared as well, replaced by a magical glow.
Clotho's garments were still normal, just... a bit less restrained. When the curator stepped into the hall with her, he stopped. "Miss, you're in the wrong section."
"No I'm not," she said with a wicked smile. "You're the curator, aren't you?"
"Err, yes."
"I have to say, you did an excellent job. I've never seen things displayed so wonderfully."
His chest swelled, "Well, of course! I have always taken great pride on my work."
She stepped forward and put a hand to his chest. "Yes. You have," she said with a smile, gazing up at him, her eyes glowing with a golden light. She then thrust her hand out, a gem of gold forming in her hand and then latching onto his chest. The man looked stunned, reaching up to the gem.
"Let your sins over take you," she said, snapping her finger.
A scream tore through the hall a moment later. Then... more screams as a strange, golden creature covered in diamonds stepped out. Creature was the only word that could decribe it, as it looked like some strange... painting monster. Surrounded by portraits, statues and miniature relics such as tombs, coffins and stone writings.
- Kunzite has posed:
(The nice boy they are leaving alone would be Daisuke, obviously.)
The eight-year-old boy takes Daisuke's hand possessively as the other kids start to trail woefully back to their parents. Clearly he is part of THEIR group. It has been so decided --
-- thankfully, to Kazuo anyway, there's a frantic couple scanning the room from over that way. He eases carefully over so that the girl can look at the spear display, and then the panickers will be in her line-of-sight thereafter. "Not a teacher, no," he replies absently to Tsubasa's question, without sign of recognition. "Just an interested student." ... completely unrelated to the similarly tall and white-haired history teacher who vanished rather abruptly from Infinity a year ago in a minor hushed-up scandal. Ahem.
Annnnnd then there is screaming. That is -- never good. The girl in Kazuo's shoulders is lifted down rather abruptly, into the lee of one of the display cases, where people are unlikely to trample in the panic that's about to start. "Stay here," he tells her sharply, and grabs for the twelve-year-old before he can make a bid for a better vantage point. At least the boy's "COOL!" is mostly lost under the other raised voices.
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Something is happening- and it kinda looks like that backroom in Raiders of the Lost Ark exploded out of some side door or hallway screaming. He gently guides the eight year old boy to the others and says. "Stay here." he says. "This is dangerous." he offers.
He looks around and frowns some. At Kazuo, he says. "Look. I'll stick around here with the kids for a moment. I need that thing... anywhere in the opposite direction before I come along, alright?" he offers.
For no reason.
- Tsubasa Kazanari has posed:
As danger unfolds, Tsubasa quickly departs the suspiciously teacher-like student and heads for a quiet corner under the guise of getting the hell out. Then, she sings the song to activate her symphogear. A moment later, a totally unrelated sword-wielding magical girl with no name comes out, softly singing traditional Japanese music as she heads to approach Kazuo and the kids, "This can't be good." She asides to Kazuo, "Prepare yourself."
- Unmei has posed:
The Currator steps forward into the hall, laughing. "Gaze upon my grand designs! Gaze upon my glory!" The art things surrounding him swirled around and then positioned themselves in the air. Beams of golden light spilled forth and... people in the room began to collapse with groans. The cases around the room began to lightly crack as well, their glass beginning to crumble under the heavy onslaught. They'd likely be able to feel it.
Whatever this attack was, it was absorbing magical power. Draining the people and making them collapse to the ground. Most people didn't have much, if any, so it knocked them out fast.
- Kunzite has posed:
"Anywhere in the opposite direction sounds good to me right now, too." Kazuo glances back to Daisuke with a sharp little frown, then adds, "I'll see if I can get one of the emergency exits open," and crouches to scramble behind a freestanding case displaying a reconstructed set of armor. Two more down and he's out of sight for a moment, which is all he really needs --
Out of sight from all but the one telling him to prepare himself.
Kazuo answers Tsubasa with a brief baring of teeth, and a few moments later, in her wake, there's a caped figure moving over the milling and starting-to-collapse crowds, leaping up to balance on one of the tallest displays --
This is the point at which Tuxedo Kamen or one of the Senshi would have a speech to pull out. Instead, Kunzite finds himself moving on, fast, as a crack appears in the plastic at the far side of the display. Not even his weight's fault.
He lands on his feet and lifts his hands, summoning a dome of darkness around the Curator, intercepting those golden beams. Pitting drain against drain. Not what either power is designed for. "This won't last," he calls back to Tsubasa. "Take advantage while you can."
By Daisuke, the twelve-year-old is suddenly discovering that what was cool eight seconds ago is very not cool now. Glass cracks sharply beside them, and the eight-year-old yelps and tries to hide behind both Daisuke and his brother at the same time. THey're better cover against that light than the glass, right?
... especially when the six-year-old girl is trying to poke at the glass as it cracks again, and again, ready to come apart into razor shards at any moment. OBVIOUSLY EVERYTHING WILL BE BETTER IF SHE CAN GET A SPEAR.
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Plastic. And glass begin shattering nearby. This isn't good. Especially when one is so close to the girl and maybe she's trying to help but oh god, please little girl you can't help right now! Nrg....
One.. two... Three. There's three. That's one more than what he knows he's capable of in teleporting others. But. They're small children. Maybe that'll make it easier?
No time to think. This will probably confuse the hell out of the kids--- mainly-- when his ring glows- then unfurls into a staff.
There's a purple flash suddenly--- and the kids are suddenly outside at the front door. Possibly police and ambulances are arriving soon. "Um. S-stay here!" he says as he flashes back. He stammers? Why?
Because /that/ just put a lot of strain on the core of his being. This is why he chooses to actually barge back into the mueseum the old fashioned way, passing through a small 'cave' exhibit up front to transform along the way into a more proper protective form.
- Tsubasa Kazanari has posed:
Tsubasa has plenty magic, and is defended, so the drain doesn't hurt her too much. It's still unpleasant. So, when Kazuo puts his dome in place, she rushes forward. "On it." She flips and land on her hands, using those to start spinning like a human top, her legs extending outwards as blades extend from her ankles. She's focusing those blades squarely on the Curator.
- Unmei has posed:
The currator is contained in a dome of darkness! He yells, the dazzle of gold expanding. "I will not be contained! I have created an exhibit more beautiful than any before it! All of you will admire it, forever! My artistic vision! My--" And then the blades stab him. Ow.
A moment later a brown arrow shot past Tsubasa's head and jammed into the case of swords, shattering the casing and sending the safety glass across the ground. Unmei stood in the entrance, a grin on her face and a little tiny peacock hovering over her shoulder. "Oh dear. Well, it looks like I caught three of them this time. But not very impressive looking are they?" She held out her hands and threads began to form out from them, turning into little soldiers, seemingly woven of dirt and stone.
They came up to about waist level and she started to walk past. Within a few moments there were almost two dozen of the creatures... All rushing at Tsubasa as the Curator began to get to his feet, sending the coffin swinging at her head, the golden glow amplifying. "I WILL MAKE YOU A DISPLAY!"
- Kunzite has posed:
"Are you okay?" Is that one of the kids calling after Daisuke or two? Hard to tell, just for a moment, just as 'stay' was hard to say. But it's calling from a distance. They're not chasing him back in.
And the way these things go, in ten minutes they'll remember it as him sneaking them out right past the thieves.
Kunzite would love to know what Asclepius is doing right now, but all he has to go on is (a) a flash of purple in his peripheral vision and (b) being more than a little too busy. His fingers itch for his own sword (the advantages of spears and firearms notwithstanding), but the Sword doing the fighting right now has advantages that he no longer does with such things. What he can do is continue to try to buy her time to use them. So as the bright golden light chews at and begins to chew through his shield, he lifts both hands, bringing them together at right angles, precisely so --
A coruscating beam of light, mingling a warm Valentine's-pink with an entirely different kind of gold, intersects with the coffin before it can strike Tsubasa. Leaving her only one thing to worry about at a time.
Well, okay. Two dozen things. Plus a couple. She can handle it.
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Asclepius has managed to run back through the exhibits and hallways back to the area of the fight. That wasn't very fun and something is aching inside him and he knows why and he's such an /idiot/. But right now he can still move so he's still going to help.
"They're safe." he announces so Kunzite knows he doesn't have to worry about the kids. He decides to however, hide behind a display a moment as he moves forward, keeping his staff steadily in front of him as he frowns a bit and peeks up.
Okay. What to do---
He needs to think. It's hard when your vision is still a bit fuzzy.
- Tsubasa Kazanari has posed:
At the arrow whizzing past her head, Tsubasa flips back, on her feet and gets ready to move in right as Clotho starts to make more enemies for them to fight. She's about to get hit by the Coffin when Kazuo hits it, and she nods in his direction. Then, blue magic starts to appear in the sky as Tsubasa moves towards Kunzite, a dozen, then two dozen glowing blue swords.
She looks at Clotho, and stares, but doesn't attack the source of this just yet, instead, the swords start falling down towards the little soldiers that approach, and one for the Curator, too. He's not been forgotten. Asclepius announces the kids are safe, and Tsubasa nods to him too, grateful.
- Unmei has posed:
Magical Girl Clotho blinked. Then totally sparkle eyed. "OH MY GOSH! Look, look! That's SO COOL!" she sqweed, clasping her hands together and swaying. "SHE CAN RAIN DOWN SWORDS! That's WAY better than fish girl! I bet that guy's her boyfriend, too." Motioning to Kunzite. "Probably some kind of magical princess thing. I bet he's a prince." Pin sighed.
"Clotho, the objective?"
"Oh, right, right." Her hand flicked out. The blades pierced through the shoulders, slashing them to pieces and sending threads into the air as they were popped. Easily. She ran off? And then skidded to a stop by one of the displays, the threads going out, grabbing one of the swords and--
"DON'T GRAB THE HANDLE!" Pin yelled.
Too late. The sword flew to her hand, sheath and all, and her right hand grabbed it. She froze in place. A moment later they could almost feel it as she shifted slightly. A small grin formed on her face as her eyes narrowed on Tsubasa. All of a sudden the girl was radiating a strange killer intent, far beyond what she'd been doing moments before. She shifted into a strange stance. Left hand holding the sheath, right hand on the hilt of the blade.
Pin sighed, then gave a chuckle. "Well... I guess it's too late. You'll just have to kill them then." Odd, he didn't sound very disappointed.
She then ran right at Tsubasa. As she ran, red string flowed from her rings, weaving around her body and forming red samurai armor across her, though the helmet had a very cat-like appearance. She was on the girl in moments, drawing the blade in a single, precise movement, the edge seeking out her body in an attempt to finish the fight in a single strike.
The monster had been pierced by the sword from above, the blade piercing its body. The gem in its chest had begun to dim considerably. However, it wasn't finished yet. It growled and then thrust out its hands. It seemed to be trying to talk and brag, but the spirit seemed almost broken and the words little more than mumbles. Unfortunately, the pieces of art that flowed around it still sailed right at Kun, attempting to slam into him.
- Kunzite has posed:
A prince? "Never," Kunzite informs the distracted magical girl flatly, and eyes thepeacock, lifting his hands --
-- but business before pleasure. He draws up shadows again, establishing a barrier between the art and himself, positioning himself so that the hemisphere around him keeps Tsubasa and Asclepius in his shadow... and so that the art attack is deflected upward, away from the fallen. "Good," he calls back to the latter. And now, finally, just one more sword is added to the assemblage, as he presses forward toward the Curator with it in his hand. Maybe it'll exhaust the gem. He probably shouldn't try to drain it. ... Maybe he shouldn't try to pry it loose with a blade, either, but it's pretty tempting right about now.
- Tsubasa Kazanari has posed:
Tsubasa isn't new to crossing blades, and though the form this happens is a surprise, the Singing Sword moves quickly, crouching down to dodge the thrust, though it still scrapes past her shoulder and cuts just enough to draw blood, before she retaliates with a swift kick to the stomach. This is immediately followed up by her pulling a pair of katanas out of her boots, rushing towards this strange Samurai and striking for the neck with one and the heart with the other.
- Unmei has posed:
The Curator stumbles back, the art pieces bound up in the shadows as the man lifted his hand. Swords and spears started rising up from their displays and trying to pierce the man, coming from all different angles. Fortunately, they came one at a time and were slow. Unfortunately, there were civilians.
The kick struck the armor and, unfortunatly for Tsubasa, she'd find despite being made of thread, it sure felt like real armor. The left hand let go of the scabbard, threads lancing out to draw it to her side. She then gripped the sword in both hands, near the base.
Clotho narrowed steely eyes on the woman as the blade moved between the two, catching both of Tsubasa's blades with the edge of hers as the woman stepped to the side, trying to move around to the woman's side and let the katana's move past her. The sword then flashed out three times, quick, rapid shots.
Fortunately for tsubasa, the sword was NOT magical and the strikes, while powerful, were definitely within human limits. Unfortunately for Tsubasa, they were also extremely precise, each strike meant to heavily wound and the blade moved with the skill and speed of someone who had swung a sword like that ten thousand times across a hundred battles. On the other, OTHER up side, the few earth soldiers that remained had gone completely still, bursting into flame and disappearing into threads.
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Asclepius watches Kunzite about to be pincushioned, and he calls out. "KUNZITE. LOOK OUT!" he says. It's all he can do because he can't really teleport unless he wants to further damage himself. Dammit.
Asclepius sort of uses destroyed and remaining displays to hide and move along the edges of the room. He's trying to get someone to the side of Clotho as he grumbles to himself. He's not a fighter.
He hates it.
But he has to help stop this. Thusly. He raises his staff and out pops an orb of purple energy from the mouth of the snake on the staff- trying to catch Clotho off guard to either hurt her a little- or to make a distraction for Tsubasa to get a good hit in.
- Kunzite has posed:
That call's valuable, because the first of the spears came from behind Kunzite. He glances -- sweeps his cape aside and sidesteps, fast. And from there he's watching everything; and this, this he can deal with. This he learned to deal with in a time that didn't have firearms, at an age more like the people Asclepius just pulled to safety than the one he's wearing now. Bodies on the ground and all -- there are spaces between them. Can't put the blades down for good, necessarily, but he can position them in ways that make them awkward for calling up again. Avoid, or deflect with his cape as a more physical focus for his power, or block with his own blade. Enough to move closer, through what's far, far indeed from one of Tsubasa's storms of blades.
"You should learn," he says to the Curator, "not to mistake knowledge of the artifacts you preserve for knowledge of how to use them."
- Tsubasa Kazanari has posed:
The point of the kick wasn't to hurt anyway, it was to push back Clotho so she could draw her blades. And, fortunately for Tsubasa, her armour is magical, and she has speed and strength beyond human limits, if only barely. She jumps back after the first strike, bleeding mildly as she keeps singing, circling around her opponent for the time being, looking for an opening.
When she strikes, it becomes very clear that she is not new at this. That, like the source of knowledge her opponent draws upon, she has the skill of someone who has swung a sword like that ten thousand times across a hundred battles. The girl is a veteran, and she moves like it, her every strike well calculated.
Her every strike a feint or bare attack, every one of them carefully placed in an attempt to keep her opponent's focus on her swords, she even adds some blue magical blades in the sky to keep her opponent's eyes busy. And then, she throws a knife, combining it with the falling energy blades to try to guide clotho such that the knife misses the girl...
... but hits her shadow. If it does, it will pin Clotho in place like the part of her shadow that was hit is pinned to some immovable force right there.
- Unmei has posed:
Magical Girl Clotho moved around swiftly, strike, parry, feint. Clotho had skill and experience, but so did Tsubasa. And while her armor and skills allowed her to move at near perfect human limits... they were still just human limits. Giving the other girl the edge. That, and Tsubasa had friends.
The orb of light almost took her by surprise, making her duck away and narrowly missed a parry, the blade lightly skimming across her right arm and drawing a little blood.
She disengages for a moment and holds her left hand towards Ascleptius, threads of fire forming three lances, before flying through the air at him, a moment before re-engaging. Each of her strikes were to kill, to disable, to end this. And her instincts seemed to match. She was good.
But she wasn't magical good. The blade hit her shadow and she froze, trying to move, her eyes going wide in shock. "Guhhhhh..."
The Curator's gem was fading fast, the light disappearing with each spear that moved. Kunz's movements were doing well. By the time he was in striking distance, the curators gem was almost completely black, the light having faded almost entirely.
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Asclepius has to dodge the fire. He dodges fairly well in that he just kinda throws himself to the side and lands on his stomach with an omph. He'll begin to crawl behind another exhbit before getting to his feet again. Luckily, Tsubasa has the girl caught it seems as he begins to work his way around the edge of the room again. But he's running out of exhibts to reliably hide behind.
He hopes the others finish this soon.
- Kunzite has posed:
Most things in this world do not, in truth, bother Kunzite very much. They bother Mamoru, and that's enough for him to avoid them: bloodshed, killing, letting small children by themselves fear and panic and cry. But they don't bother him more than minimally -- annoyance, perhaps, or distaste for wastefulness, or irritation at those deserting their responsibilities.
Watching gems fade to black, on the other hand. That bothers him. That bothers him considerably.
He doesn't know how this one works; that's all that keeps him from shattering it. The entity still wearing it is still -- close to human. So gouging it out is not, perhaps, the best of plans --
Fire streaks through the edge of his vision. No flare of purple light answers it.
"Asclepius!" No. Time to end this. The slash of his blade is a feint in itself; a real enough attack, except that its goal isn't to draw blood, but to position the Curator. To let him step in, reach for that darkening gem, and try to tear it free.
Granted, it might still kill the host, but at a certain point, there's only so much one can do.
- Tsubasa Kazanari has posed:
Tsubasa takes a hit in order to goad her opponent into ignoring the real threat of that knife, and then it lands and she merges her blades into one, massive blade, big enough to make final fantasy protagonists jealous. "You picked the wrong time to attack." She tells Clotho, calmly, "You don't survive as a magical girl as long as I have if you lack skill." Then, taking advantage of her opponent's immobilization, her blade glows blue, and she rushes forward, swinging it and creating a huge shockwave to hit Clotho, followed up by the edge of that sword itself.
- Unmei has posed:
The curator stepped back, away from the slash and in prime position. Kun grabs the gem and, with a mighty tug, he pulls it free! There's no blood, no darkness, no damage. In fact, once he pulls it free, it seems to just be a fancy golden jewel, no longer even dim.
The man it was attached to collapses to the ground, back in his normal clothes, unhurt but unconscious. It had apparently been a tad bit... demanding on him. Not surprising.
Clotho's eyes widened and she tried to move, gritting her teeth. But, she was, unfortunately, helpless. White threads flowed out from her rings, forming a shield in front of her.
It wasn't enough. The shockwave sent her back and while the shield and armor did dampen the blow, it wasn't enough. She was sent flying back, slamming into the wall, hard, the sword cleaving through armor and shield. A large, bloody gash was slashed across her stomach.
She toppled off the wall a moment later, her hands wrapping around her stomach. The gems that covered her body had dimmed now as well, giving her only a light glow.
And she was totally crying, just a little bit. Pin sighed. "I believe this would count as a failure, Clotho."
"S-shut up,' she said with a weak whimper, before she tried to get to her feet, her right arm around her bleeding torso. She looked around for a moment, before she tried to hobble/run towards the exit.
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Asclepius hears his name called, and while he can peek out, he can't do much with the combat--- which quickly winds down. The girl makes a run for it. And she's hurt. "H--hey! Wait!" he says as she runs away. Nrg... well. That ended. Poorly. Right?
"You're hurt." he says a little fruitlessly as he sighs and rubs his forehead.
Then he sort of places a hand to his chest and mutters something under his breath.
"Is the Curator okay?" he asks.
It looks like he's about to fallover himself.
- Kunzite has posed:
The temptation to burn the energy Kunzite has left on a second strike, at that peacock this time, is strong. But not quite strong enough to overcome the priorities Endymion's given him, rehearsed and reinforced every day. Especially not when Asclepius is reminding him of them out loud. He folds the gem into his cloak, touching it with his bare skin no longer than necessary, and kneels down to check the curator's pulse now that the title's reverted to just a job description. "Drained," he says aloud, "but he should recover."
Which means that he could give chase. But the girl's retreating. And Asclepius is...
Barely on his feet. Kunzite's frown grows more marked; he checks Tsubasa by eye, saying nothing.
- Tsubasa Kazanari has posed:
While Asclepios might not be in position to chase, and Kunzite not willing to chase? Tsubasa doesn't see it is as a good idea to do anything but chase, and so she rushes towards Clotho, sword raised once again. She is nothing but a sword, and what use is a weapon if it does not kill? So at the first opportunity, that sword is brought down for another blow, the chase continuing until she loses track of Clotho, Clotho dies, or something else comes up.
- Unmei has posed:
Everyone is okay, for now. People are even starting to wake up, weakened and tired, but confused. A few people likely assuming some kind of gas leak or the like. With an explosion. Which caused all the stands to explode. Panic was starting to set in and security was quickly making its way down to escort people out. Without souveners.
Clotho, on the other hand, made her way away and, once she lost sight of the girl, quickly quickly de-henshin! So the magic would keep her from being identified and Tsubasa could continue on her way. Though once she was out of sight she almost keeled over and pulled out her phone. "I... I need an... e-extraction... please," she said into the phone with a whimper, holding her stomach.
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Asclepius looks to Kunzite and blinks once before yeah he does fallover. Onto his butt.
"Ha.. I over did it. Got those kids out. But. Kinda. Overexerted myself in the process. Too many bodies at once." he mutters.
"But no choice then." he says.
"Burns. I should probably. Get. Somewhere." he says.
"But does anyone else need help here first?" he asks looking to Kunzite. Who looks fine and Tsubasa takes off. So. She's fine dashing out suddenly like that.
"Well." he laments.
- Kunzite has posed:
"Are you in shape to provide it if they do?" Kunzite picks his way across the floor between them, avoiding stepping on either people or swords. (The person who is a sword is more than capable of taking care of herself -- and he is far from fool enough to get in Tsubasa's path. He's well aware of just how precisely she'd carve through him if he made it necessary.) "You're close enough to becoming another casualty yourself. This once, perhaps, leave it for others. These people will wake in their own time."
-- and then there's Tsubasa. He doesn't know if she's hurt --
He doesn't know if she'd admit it. Or even stop long enough to admit it.
