Date of Scene: | 24 January 2017 |
Location: | Plot Room #2 |
Synopsis: | Usually when a boy comes to your window it's a romantic thing. Not this time. |
Cast of Characters: | Norie Okana, Alexis Raskoph |
- Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana has returned home. Her family is estatic, mostly. Her room was left largely as it was. She has not reobtained her things from Jiaying's yet- which means she does not have her laptop or most of her entertainment items back. She'll be picking them up because she wants to talk to Jiaying again and that's a good excuse to do that.
It is mostly deep into the night. She is not laying in bed, despite being home. She's on her desktop computer staring at the screen. She's typing. She appears to be chatting with someone deep into the night at this late hour.
Her window is open a smidge because she likes the cold night air.
Eventually she'll go back to the manor regularly but for the next couple of days she just wants to lounge in her room until she's forced to go back to school. Just.
Lounge in her room. Like a normal girl. And chat online. Like a normal girl. And get called down for breakfast in three hours, like a normal girl.
- Alexis Raskoph has posed:
Normal.
Just a month or so ago, a certain german boy had still considered himself exceedingly like that in comparison to the people around him.
What a twist that in this exact moment, however, that arrangement has been, at least to an observer, flipped completely around.
Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap.
The sound is a quiet one, resounding faintly against the glass of the window. A repeating rhytm that continues until Norie looks--
And sees a certain hoodieshrouded boy perched precariously on the windowsill.
- Norie Okana has posed:
...and sleep in a bed like a normal girl and have someone perched on your windowsill knocking on the window like a normal gir---
Okay that's not so normal. Well. Maybe not abnormal. It's not unbeliveable.
She turns arond and blinks and opens the window more and lets Alexis inside as she softly peeks her head out and looks around.
Okay no one obviously about to have seen that. "Talk quietly. There's other people sleeping here. And I don't think both my parents and my brother would be welcoming to a boy who crawls through my window." she says.
She says. She preempts the normal questions.
"I got tired of being away from home." she says quietly. "I miss my family. I needed to come home." she says.
Not the full story, but mostly the truth. It's been the truth since she left here seven months ago.
- Alexis Raskoph has posed:
Alex doesn't slip through the window immediately once it's open. He just... sort of stares at the girl, from underneath the hood, while the unspoken questions are answered.
He stares.
And finally, he asks, blunt as a knife chiseled out of stone with an axe, "Why?"
One would THINK that that particular question was technically answered already. But apparently Alex doesn't think so.
- Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana head tilts. "I already told you." she says quietly.
"Just now." she says.
She frowns. "If you want more..." she says.
"Sachi-chan woke up." she says quietly. "Sachiko. She was a girl. I drained into a coma. It's not something I meant to do. And I started starving myself after that."
"And I was becoming irrational. And I was becoming a danger to everyone and I almost..."
"I almost brainwashed my brother. Or was going to try to. I stopped myself. And instead I ran away." she says.
"Her waking up doesn't change what I did." she says.
"But I needed her to wake up before... before I felt I could move on." she says.
"And I just want to be home again. And go back to school." she says.
She shakes her head. "I'm still here." she says. "I'm just home again."
- Alexis Raskoph has posed:
Alex's expression doesn't change much these days, but even with that, it might be evident enough that he isn't fully convinced by this particular answer giving the full story, either. His nose wrinkles, for half a second.
"When you spoke to me about your family," he murmurs, tone purposefully quiet on account of... well, the fact that there are people sleeping in the house. "You spoke as if.... You thought it would not be a good idea to return to them."
"You have to understand how... surprised I was, when I heard about you coming here."
It's now that he finally shifts himself forward, to some extend, at least so that he can set himself to sitting on the windowsill and set himself halfway to the inside-side.
"Will you be okay?"
- Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana shakes her head. "I feel fine." she says. "I mean, for. Definitions of fine." she says softly. She looks down and back up. "A lot of my... 'control issues'. Were because I was starving myself. When you starve yourself. You lose yourself to the power because you start to lose who you are. Because we feed off energy and identity." she says softly.
"I don't starve myself anymore. I don't like feeding. But it keeps me like this. Calm and rational and while I'll never. Really be. How I was before this." she says.
"I can accept not. Falling into mad tirades and non-sensical ranting and volitaile attacks." she says.
"I just."
"I needed. Sachiko off my mind. Because I thought about that a lot."
"What if she never wakes up...? What if she dies...?" she asks.
- Alexis Raskoph has posed:
"You have told me as much before," Alex points out, on the whole matter of the feeding. "It's... well. Something you hammered in pretty well for me, I suppose. I've felt hungry only once so far. I'd rather not feel it again if I can avoid it."
Slowly, his eyes move over the room. Taking it all in. Taking in the fact that, in some sense-- the Lacrima he knows at least used to be a perfectly normal young girl at one point, too. Part of her should still be, too.
Or at least should be allowed to live like one.
"I understand," he says after a moment, just before his eyes return to settle onto her. "This will make getting to you when the need be with my... condition, comes along, a little more difficult, but. We should manage."
- Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana softly shakes her head. "Call me. Text me. Tell me where to meet you. You can't hop through the Dusk Zone because part of you is still human. But I can be anywhere I want across the city in a second and be back before anyone knows I'm gone." she says.
"If you need a 'burner phone' I can provide one. Prepaid phones are pretty much a nessicity for anyone I know." she says.
"It's not uncommon for me to be out late to my family. They probably wouldn't be surprised that I'm still up." she says.
"..and I'll be back at the manor semi-regularly again soon. I just. Want to be home for a few days before I start being away for a few hours everyday and I go back to school." she says.
- Alexis Raskoph has posed:
"I already stashed my phone away, after... I realized there's a missing person report out on me," Alex murmurs, and his expression turns... a bit sour, perhaps. Over the thought that his disappearance might actually be making his parents do something about him for once.
"You know it goes both ways, don't you?" he says then. "If you need... help. With anything at all. Just get me."
"And I'm not saying that just because we're connected in a way most people wouldn't understand or anything like that."
- Norie Okana has posed:
Norie Okana nods. "Then I'll have you a new one by tommrow. I'll place it on the coffee table in the manor. Just walk in." she says softly.
She nods. "No. I know. Just." she says softly. "I want you to concentrate on keeping your energy levels up." she says softly.
"I also want you to take some 'me' time." she says.
"I know you're not eating. But... try anyways. Work on your bike. Do. Anything. I know It's hard but you /can/ find something that makes you feel 'comfortable." she says.
"It's important." she says quietly. "You may not be able to feel 'happy'." she says. "But you can reach comfortable. And 'light contentment' if you're willing to try." she says.
She looks around a bit and stays still. Nope. Everyone is still sleeping.
