Synopsis: Kukai hunts for the Fujisaki twins.
Cast of Characters: Nadeshiko Fujisaki, Kukai Souma

Nadeshiko Fujisaki has posed:
It's...interesting shopping with yourself.

Well, it's interesting in the sense that it makes you want to claw your eyes out. Literally and maybe even feloniously, if you're literally split into two people.

Nagihiko scowls at Nadeshiko as she toys with yet another skirt while they're waiting in line. "Stop it."

"What? It's cute!"

Nagihiko rolls his eyes, impatience and boredom clearly evident on his face. Apparently, shopping for clothes is no longer something he's too keen on. (Truth be told he still does enjoy it, but she's able to wear so much stuff that he'll never be able to. Where did she find that swimsuit, anyway?)

A few more minutes later and they're walking out of the store. Nadeshiko spots a shoe store and she turns to him with large, joyous eyes. "What? No. No! We just--!"

She pouts and he looks at her like she's crazy. She stops, realizing that its technically his pout, making him immune. She rolls her eyes. "Fine. We'll stop somewhere so you can rest your poor feet. Is that okay with you?"

Nagihiko thinks for a moment. Well, she does need food. He scowls and rolls his eyes. "Fine."
Kukai Souma has posed:
It has been a long, and, for Kukai, frustrating night. When you're searching for two magical beings that you've never seen before, waiting for a phone call from any one of a number of people, and unable to actually hug the person you want to hug most in the world, it's possible the stress can get to you.

Still, Kukai is doing his best to hold his morale together, and it's not the most fun thing he's ever done. Continuing to search is maybe a bit much, right this second. Food may be a good choice. He walks through the crowd of people, heading towards one of the nearby packs of restaurants, not noticing a nearby pair of long purple-haired heads.
Nadeshiko Fujisaki has posed:
Nadeshiko rocks back and forth, pleased to have gotten her way, but she feels a bit more enticement is in order. "You do need a new pair of Docs..."

Nagihiko considers this and finally grins a bit. His old pair is scuffed to the point that not even a resoling would do the trick, and a new pair sounds...nice. "Yeah, okay."

But Nadeshiko's no longer paying attention. Perhaps the deepest thrill she's experienced since this entire thing happened shoots through her and suddenly she's racing through the crowd. "Kukai!"

That's about all the warning the poor boy gets before feminine limbs wrap around him and she's kissing him, probably able to count his vertibrae. Nagihiko's not far behind, his expression a mixture of jealousy, mortification, longing, and a dash more of jealousy.
Kukai Souma has posed:
Kukai is approaching the restaurants as he suddenly hears his name being called. He turns a bit. Wait, is that~

And then he's flailing, wobbling, and barely able to plant himself on a nearby bench as Nadeshiko practically climbs onto him, returning the kisses as his heart beats rapidly. Is it some form of attack? If it is, it's the sweetest attack he's ever suffered, and he finds himself kissing back once or twice before he pries her back a few steps to breathe and look around. "Nadeshiko!"

Kukai blinks, then sees Nagihiko behind her, dour and jealous looking. "Nadeshiko, look out, it's Nagihiko!" Then he sees the bags Nagihiko's carrying. "With.. shopping bags." He blinks, then cocks his head, looking between the two of them. "Are you two... OK?" He motions over to Nagihiko to come over as well, wiggling one arm free.
Nadeshiko Fujisaki has posed:
Nadeshiko giggles at the warning, sliding down until her feet hit the floor. "It's okay. He knows I can kick his butt."

Nagihiko hears, of course, and he's pretty sure his face will either freeze in a scowl or burn right off.

Nadeshiko leans against Kukai. "We've been shopping. My hips are wider, and nothing fits." She pouts up at him, woe her and pity her.

Nagihiko looks guilty at this, almost like a puppy who knows he's messed the carpet and did a naughty. He knows Kukai's likely been doing everything he could to help, and yet here they are, shopping. He rubs his arm and glances to the side and only looks up when Kukai motions for him. Kukai's side is a quick victim to a Nagi-shaped missile as the purple-haired boy careens against him. "She wouldn't shut up about the damn skirts..." It's a defence and an apology both.
Kukai Souma has posed:
Kukai looks back and forth at the two of them and his heart nearly breaks. He wants nothing more than to just sit here like this for a few dozen hours and kiss the two of them, but what if one of them is a villain?

And that's what kills him. He can't stand not being around them any longer, even if they're both enchanted or something. He leans his head forward between both of them, breathing harder for a long moment. "... I can't do this. Both of you. I don't care if either of you have some horrible evil enchantment or if you're youma or whatever. I don't care anymore. I can't walk around here thinking about you anymore and being scared of you. It's killing me."

Kukai's arms suddenly tighten around both of them. "Please forgive me. I'm exhausted. I was up most of the night looking for those clowns or being worried about my dreams, and I spent all day looking for them again when I wasn't meeting Naru to talk about some things, and... every moment thinking about you." He shakes his head, still not quite able to look at the two of them, actually embarrassed about sort of breaking down like this in a public place, even if he's not making too much noise or bothering anyone but the two of them.

Daichi, for his part, is already hugging Temari and Rhythm, having missed them terribly as well.
Nadeshiko Fujisaki has posed:
Nagihiko looks like he's been struck for a moment, and the hurt quickly turns into concern and worry, and then hurt for Kukai. Cautious fingers sift through orange hair, seeking to comfort.

Nadeshiko is, surprisingly, not unshaken by Kukai's admission. Her eyebrows furrow a bit before soothing a hand along his chest. She clears her throat after a moment.

"Well. I know if one of us is a villian, it's not Nagihiko. He's too afraid of his own shadow. Ow! You kicked me!"

Nagihiko glowers at her.

Nadeshiko continues. "If one of us is, it's most likely me. But I'd be one of those sleeper agents because I don't even know I'm a badguy."

"I'm sorry, she doesn't have a filter." Nagihiko's voice is quiet. And then it grows concerned as he scrapes his nails lightly against Kukai's temple. "Have you slept at all? Please don't worry so much."

Temari and Rhythm both snuggle against Daichi. They've missed him, too! And it's been a long few days and both are so tired!
Kukai Souma has posed:
Kukai stays leaned forward for a bit, feeling warm, soft fingers in his hair, letting out a sigh. Another hand strokes along his chest, before he hears her speak. And then he jerks up at the ow, looking back and forth at the two of them. He's a little exhausted, yeah.

Kukai stares at Nadeshiko for a moment, then over at Nagihiko, shrugging. "Have you been dealing with that all day?" There's a faint, weak grin. "...Maybe an hour or so since the other... day? When we were in the attic?" He shakes his head. "I can't stop worrying about you. If I just find those clowns, I can fix things." Kukai yawns hugely. "But I maybe could use some rest."

Daichi is just as tired as Kukai, and being partially comatose between the two of them is the best thing in the world.
Nadeshiko Fujisaki has posed:
Nagihiko blushes and looks to one side before shrugging at Kukai. "Pretty much..."

Nadeshiko rolls her eyes. "Well it's true."

Then she purses her lips as Nagihiko's brows furrow in concern. The boy's voice is still soft. "Have you at least eaten?"

Nadeshiko sighs. "We could help. Somehow. Well, I'd help and Nagihiko would try. He'd do his best."

Nagihiko scowled. "Would you stop that?"

Nadeshiko looks perplexed. "What? I'm not being mean!"

"Well you're not being nice..."

Rhythm and Temari do their best to support Daichi. Well, more like, Rhythm's snuggling against Kukai's chara while Temari pets his little head.
Kukai Souma has posed:
Kukai smiles at them and then shakes his head, chuckling. "Mmm." The issue of food is raised and Kukai nods, sitting up. "Well, yeah. Um. I dunno how good it's all been. There's been a lot of food I can carry in both hands as I moved around. And late at night there were lots of caffeinated, sugary drinks. Those help."

Kukai shakes his head, squeezing both of them with one hand. "You're both helping me just by not fighting so much. As long as you're not punching one another I can at least trust that I can look for whatever on my own energy." He omits the whole 'not being nice to one another thing' but whatever he was going to say is blocked by a great big yawn. "mmph."

Daichi is dozy enough to enjoy the patting and snuggling right now. Keeping an eye on a relentless ball of energy who's burning the candle at both ends is hard.
Nadeshiko Fujisaki has posed:
The boy sighs. It's probably not the healthiest, but at least its something, right? His cheeks burn at the comment on no fighting.

Nadeshiko, however, snorts and waves a hand. "Have you ever argued with yourself? It doesn't always end pretty. But...we try." She pouts cutely at him, which makes Nagihiko's blush grow. And maybe a touch of a scowl as his hand tightens on Kukai's sleeve.

Still. He hides his face in Kukai's shoulder so he can chew on his lip in thought. And then he perks up a bit. "Hey, Nadeshiko. We have points, right?"

There's a moment where her face blanks out in confusion before it lights up in understanding. "I'll check!"

She pulls out her phone and starts searching.

While she does this, Nagihiko sighs softly at Kukai and continues to pet along his temple. "We can probably keep from bloodshed if we know you're taking care of yourself."

"Okay, got a room! Booked and paid for, you can't say no." Nadeshiko smiles prettily at Kukai. "Plus, room service. We get to spoil you with naps and food."
Kukai Souma has posed:
Kukai blinks, then looks at Daichi. "I think I've done something similar to arguing to myself. And.. I guess that's all I can say, if you'll try. Both of you." He hugs the two of them, then pats Nagi's side.

The bit about points is confusing and he doesn't have any idea what they're talking about at all, but it involves the phone? Kukai just watches them, leaning against Nagihiko. "Oh... well. Yeah. I'm trying, I promise. I'm trying to take care of the two of you, though. It's hard."

Kukai looks at Nadeshiko, blinking, then scratches his head. "A room? With room service? What about my room at home, or your room?" He looks back and forth at the two of them, clearly tired enough to not properly parse things, before shaking his head. "Oh. I am.. yeah. Naps and food sound nice. Please. Where at?"
Nadeshiko Fujisaki has posed:
Temari and Rhythm float along with the trio, both supporting the exhausted Daichi. If anyone could see them, it would look...weird, probably.

(Well, Rhythm's more snuggling while Temari's more or less guiding them both.)

Nagihiko sighs again. "But that just means we get to take care of you, too. So, as long as you're stressing, we get to fret."

Nadeshiko rolls her eyes at his question. "Because its close and you look like you're about to plant your face on the sidewalk and neither of us are brave enough to see who's the cook? I really don't want to find out I can only burn water."

Then she grabs Kukai's free elbow and tugs him along. "Come on, it's a block this way!"

As she pulls, Nagihiko tries to keep up, worried for a moment about Kukai's feet. What if they tangle up and he trips anyway? Oh dear. "I-Is it the one with the tubs, Nadeshiko?"

Nadeshiko snorts as she weaves them through people. "Of course. What am I, a plebian?"

Nagihiko rolls his eyes. "Was I really this spoiled and stuck up?"
Kukai Souma has posed:
Kukai smiles at the two of them, then nods, standing up. "Ok. Sure, let's.. let's go. I think I can get there." He yawns again, then giggles, slap-happy. "Burn water... awww. You'd do fine."

He walks in between the two of them, still able to put his feet in front of one another without tripping. Natural agility, more than likely.

Kukai looks over at Nadeshiko. "What's a plebian?" Then back to Nagihiko. "You were never stuck up. Also. Tubs?"
Nadeshiko Fujisaki has posed:
Nagihiko answers Kukai's question before Nadeshiko can. "It's an ancient Roman word for peasant." His smile is shy. "Maybe I was just really good at hiding it?"

Nadeshiko rolls her eyes. "I'm not stuck up, I just know what I like." This is accompanied by a wink aimed at Kukai.

Nagihiko's grip tightens on Kukai's arm a moment before he answers the last question. "Its a more western hotel. The tubs have jets, so if you have any sore muscles, it can help you relax."

Finally they reach the hotel. Nadeshiko checks them in, asking question after question. Partially to see what sort of dinner specials there are and whatnot, also to distract the concierge from three teenagers checking in.

Nadeshiko then hauls them toward the elevator. "The rooms are small, of course. But there should be a place to eat, if we get up in eachother's personal bubbles."
Kukai Souma has posed:
Kukai ohs and then shrugs. "I never really thought so but... no. I can't believe it of either of you." He shakes his head, then whews. "Let's not do that again." He looks over at Nadeshiko and grins at the wink as they walk.

Kukai ooohs and then aaahs and then nods. "I should maybe do that later because if I do that now I will be naked and asleep and wrinkly in the tub." He looks up at the door to the hotel and wows. "This place is crazy..."

He leans against the wall of the elevator, yawning hugely and nodding. He's ready for some rest. "Man. This was not the best idea I've ever had, you two. And my bubble is your bubble."
Nadeshiko Fujisaki has posed:
Nadeshiko giggles and Nagihiko blushes at the imagery. He might even be biting back a small smile of his own.

"Don't worry. We'd make sure you don't drown." How, she doesn't specify. Super hearing?

In the elevator, she leans against the wall as well, but its more casual. "Good. I think yours is the only bubble Nagihiko likes."

The boy shrugs. "I don't...people well."

Nadeshiko nods and sighs. "Forced faux extroversion will do that to you."

Nagihiko rolls his eyes. The elevator doors open, saving him, and this time he's the one to tug Kukai along. He steals a key from Nadeshiko and finds their room, opens the door, and would try to push Nadeshiko out and close the door, but...

As though sensing this train of thought, Nadeshiko saunters by and wiggles her own keycard at him.

The room is indeed small. But there's enough room for a bed, a television, and small desk. The television stand is also a set of dressers, and a shelving unit barely wide enough for the minifridge and microwave.

The bathroom isn't much bigger. But the tub is large!

Nadeshiko sighs as she plops back on the bed. "Not the best, but its perfect for napping."

Nagihiko clicks his tongue and helps Kukai out of his jacket. Not because the boy needs it, but because it makes him feel useful. "A nice nap will do you good. All of us. Nadeshiko will order food and have it delivered in a few hours--"

"I will?"

"--Yes. And then after dinner, you can either have that relaxing bath or go right back to sleep. Does that sound okay?"
Kukai Souma has posed:
Kukai nods and hums, stretching. "You people fine, Nagihiko. You're just... not used to peopleing." He awws and hugs Nadeshiko again. "Sorry.." He mmphs and then opens his eyes as he's tugged along the hallway, wobbling through the door and missing the whole 'locking each other out' bit.

Kukai removes his shoes near the door and finds himself sitting down on the bed, stomach rumbling, his jacket going to one side. "... Yeah. Yeah, that sounds good. All of that sounds good." He lies back, yawning, and then ends up hugging a twin in each arm, holding them against him. "mine..." Some small part of him thinks 'well, if this is how you end, this is a good way to end.'
Nadeshiko Fujisaki has posed:
It's a few hours later. Nadeshiko'd gotten up at the knock on the door. Food's waiting for them all on a cart in the narrow hallway that leads toward the bathroom and front door.

Nagihiko's curled against Kukai's side, breathing and sleeping softly. Nadeshiko'd been curled against his other side until just a few moments ago.

"Hey. Food's here." She gently pokes both boys. Nagihiko grumbles and tries to hide under Kukai.
Kukai Souma has posed:
Kukai sleeps better than he has in a week. It's glorious and he is out cold, recovering from the work that he's been going through. It's warm and soft and this bed is killer.

He stirs after a few moments after the draft chills the side where Nadeshiko is and then feels a purple haired dancer wiggling in underneath him. He blinks and shifts, sitting up a little and yawns. "...Food, you said?" He looks down at Nagihiko and pats his head. "You hungry? What did you get, Na-chan?"
Nadeshiko Fujisaki has posed:
Nadeshiko gives him a mysterious look and holds her finger to her lips. "It's a secret."

Mostly, this is because she's forgotten. It was a good nap!

Still, she brings the covered trays over.

Nagihiko grumbles some more when his hiding place moves. He sits up and rubs his eyes, which are barely open.

He hasn't been sleeping well, either. More than Kukai, perhaps, but he's clearly coming out of the first deep sleep he's had in days.

He grunts when Nadeshiko places a tray in front of him but opts to lean against Kukai for a moment longer.

The girl rolls her eyes as she rejoins them on the bed, her own tray warm in her lap.
Kukai Souma has posed:
It's a Western hotel, and they're teenagers, so under one covered tray is a pile of silder-sized burgers, and under another is what appears to be a large bowl of something spicy - rice, little circles of meat, peppers, shrimp, and more. Under the third is a big bowl of multicolored salad.

Kukai oohs and pokes at the strange bowl he doesn't recognize. "What is this? It smells good." He looks around for a spoon and testingly tastes it. "It IS good! Nagi, wake up and taste this." He hmms. "So we'll share, right? That's the idea?" He picks up his bottle of water and takes a long draught, sealing it back, then hmms. Should they eat in bed? Probably not, but moving would suck.
Nadeshiko Fujisaki has posed:
Nadeshiko preens, patting herself on the back for a job well done! "That's the idea. I figure we could try some of the things the American businessmen keep talking about when we stay here. When they're not complaining about the sizes of the rooms."

To be fair, there are usually larger rooms. Those send to be on the higher floors, and the term 'business suites' and such adds a bit more heft to the pricetag.

She wiggles in place a bit. "Plus, I figured hearty, filling and, with the salad, moderately healthy."

Nagihiko makes a noise at the suggestion and leans back, strecthing hard enough to vibrate his body but not knock over the tray of small burgers.

Curious, he takes a spoonful of the spicey soup. "Oooo." He looks up at Kukai, still a bit sleepy. "I could probably learn how to make this if you want."
Kukai Souma has posed:
Kukai nods, then looks around the room. "...What are they complaining about? This is a big room. Jeez." He looks over at Nadeshiko, arching an eyebrow. "When have you been talking to businessmen about their rooms, Na-chan?" He sits all the way up and takes one of the sliders, eyeing it. "This burger is a little smaller than what I'm used to."

Kukai grins and watches Nagihiko vibrate, then oohs as Nagihiko leans in against him, tasting the jambalya. "...Ooooh. Yeah. We need to learn how to make this. This is awesome." He impulsively kisses Nagihiko on the cheek, then turns and kisses Nadeshiko on the cheek. "Thank you both."
Nadeshiko Fujisaki has posed:
\Nadeshiko gives Kukai a smug look. Nagihiko rolls his eyes. "She's being a brat. Trying to make you jealous. It's usually what we over hear."

"Well, there have been some hinted suggestions."

"Yeah, but that's more creepy than anything." He takes one of the tiny burgers and shrugs. "I guess that's why they give you more of them?"

And then he looks around and quickly scoops the tiny burger into the Jumbalaya. Partly so it won't break apart, but also because its rude to do that!

And he's quite pleasantly surprised. It tasted good!
Kukai Souma has posed:
Kukai looks over at Nagihiko and grins. "Well that's good. I thought she had a side business as a burusera girl or something. I'm glad you just overheard it." He chuckles and then nods. "I'm glad you didn't take any of them up on that." He blehs. "That sounds really awful, in a way." Kukai notices the scoop, but doesn't say anything, because it was probably a good idea. He skipped it himself.

Over on the other side of the room, a green egg opens up and Daichi yawns, floating out and peering over at the food. "...Anything sweet?"
Nadeshiko Fujisaki has posed:
Nagihiko blushes as Nadeshiko shrieks with giggles. "Ohhhhh no. Though don't think we weren't propositioned that way!"

Nagihiko bites back a smile. "People are...weird. Even for Japan, they are weird."

He doesn't scoop any more. One taste was enough.

Nadeshiko nods. "Of course. Do you want to share a slider with the other two while you wait for dessert?"
Kukai Souma has posed:
Kukai laughs and shakes his head. "I bet you were!" He grins, scratching the back of his head. "I'm just glad things went ok." He yawns again, even in the middle of salad bite. "I dunno why I'm so tired, I just slept..."

Kukai hmms, then shrugs. "I guess I should tell you. I've been all over the city and asked everybody. Nobody knows anything about these clown things. I'm not sure when I'll find them. It's crazy." He looks stoic over the concept of never finding what split his boyfriend in two...

Daichi oohs and floats over, nodding. "Please and thank you! And what's for dessert?"
Nadeshiko Fujisaki has posed:
Nagihiko gives him a Look. "A couple hours after how long awake?"

Then he sighs. "We'll figure something out. I doubt they'd just show up to do this then dissapear forever." He wonders if Google would turn anything up. Probably just a bunch of creepypasta. He hands one of the burgers over to Nadeshiko.

She cuts it into thirds. Temari and Rhythm float out from their own nap places and let Daichi have the best part - the middle piece. "Its some sort of sampler, I think? There's small cakes and some puddings or...something."
Kukai Souma has posed:
Kukai gives him a Look right back. "But it was still sleep! ...I mean maybe I'll get a couple more hours. After I eat."

He yawns, then continues munching, taking a sip from his water bottle from time to time. "Yeah. I do too. ....Weirder things have happened, though. I hope it's not just a one time thing." He considers the ramifications of trying to date a pair of twins and then shakes his head. One thing at a time.

Daichi takes his piece of the slider and noms, making a happy oooh sound at the idea of a big plate of all sorts of sweet things. That sounds awesome.
Nadeshiko Fujisaki has posed:
"Don't forget the bath, if you want it." Nagihiko is pretty sure baths with jets in them are one of the most relaxing things in the world. "Just don't put in bubbles if you turn on the jets."

"He speaks from experience." Nadeshiko sighs. "Weirder? Yes. But these two seemed to enjoy the chaos. They're probably watching us."

Nagihiko shivers and leans a bit more into Kukai.

Rhythm's face is near-constantly full of food. Chipmunk cheeks and all. Temari eats about half of her bit before offering the rest to Daichi.
