That's What Friends Do
Date of Scene: 30 June 2017
Location: Mitakihara/Uminari City - Infinity Drive
Synopsis: Takashi visits a recovering Hannah.
Cast of Characters: Takashi Agera, Hannah Sharpe

Takashi Agera has posed:
Takashi has been busy, in a lot of ways, but there are some things that you eventually have to make time for. Those things include, especially, someone who rests somewhere between a friend and an adopted sister - albiet one who he has been away from for some time. "Diverging paths, I suppose." Takashi says to nobody in particular as he makes his way towards Hannah's apartment.

But after hearing the recent issues, he'd cleared up time, and that lead him in front of her door. Usually, they were meeting at work - more often than not, his lab. But... this was an unusal time. So he knocked, just a bit quietly, but then a second knock, more authoritatively.
Hannah Sharpe has posed:
"Coming, coming!" A quick toss on of a robe, and Hannah is at the door. Boris is flat out on the couch, doggie-snoring loudly. So it's just Hannah at the door as she flings it open.

The apartment is as orderly as ever, with the addition of a single stuffed bunny on the stand near the tv. Hannah's looking in better health than she has been at least, even if her magic is currently gone.

"Who is it?" Comes the young woman, one arm over the other as she holds her cane in the other hand.
Takashi Agera has posed:
Takashi stands at the door. "I guess the rumors were true. You couldn't sense me coming." he notes, but not in a hostile way. Nor does he try to put pity into his voice. "Agera Takashi, I hope you remember me." That much IS said with a joke. "Do you mind if I come in, it's been too long since we talked and I hear you've had some recent adventures."
Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Sightless eyes go wide, and then? She's smiling. It's warm, genuine, and then she's scrambling for his hands.

If he doesn't stop her, she's dragging him into the apartment with glee, kicking the door behind her. She loses the cane somewhere along the way.

"TAKASHI! I...yeah, it's been a while! How are you? What have you been up to?" Comes Hannah giddily, then she sucks in a breath.

"You could say that. Sorry for not calling. Almost turning into a Witch does that to you." 'Adventure' is putting it lightly. Her hands wave to the kitchen. "Tea? Coffee? Food? Shove that big lug off the couch if you want to sit." Boris is sprawled out, one leg kicking in his doggie dreams!
Takashi Agera has posed:
"I think I'll let Boris sleep." Takashi says, and doesn't resist at all the still-strong blind girl tugging him in. "It's good to see you." he notes, before stopping for a moment, wondering if he should be more careful with his words - before throwing that to the wind. It's Hannah, even if he hadn't seen her in a while.

"Yeah, I'm glad that didn't go forward. I like you a lot better as not-a-Grief Seed." Then a pause. "Got any sodas around here?"
Hannah Sharpe has posed:
"You too, you big jerk! Been buried in your lab and causing trouble?" That would make two of them. Grin.

To the kitchen! Pop. The light comes on, and then there's a sprite being offered Takashi's way. The fridge's drinks alternate between tea, soda, and Boris' vodka and beer of choice.

"I wouldn't make a good Escher painting anyway, or so I'm told. So I'm sure you're curious about what happened. Long story short, that little experiment I did with Grief Seeds had more consequences than I thought. And shooting out people's Linker Cores to try to study them so I could fix myself didn't help."

A sigh, and she leans on the counter in the kitchen. "So Hat Guy and Gull-chan and crew decided to do a little forced surgery to 'fix' the problem." There's an edge to her voice her. She's so tired by now that she can't summon up proper fury any more.
Takashi Agera has posed:
Takashi takes the drink and opens it, and he smiles a bit big. "That sounds like the sort of trouble you find yourself in often. I don't know if I should chide you for not asking me help, or be glad I didn't have to decide which side of the solution to be on." He pauses for a moment - longer than the drink he takes really ought to take.

"So it had some... rather rough results, I hear. How are you holding up. And... do you want my help? Not just with magic, just ... a general offer. For whatever."
Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Sigh. "...I'd take either one right now. It kills me, but I got desperate and stupid. I should ask you more. You at least manage to not kill yourself in the process. Maybe we need to collaborate more."

Her back is on the cabinet now, arms above her head. "Yes. I need to get stronger, and I've been ignoring R.T. for too long now. That's why I lost. Heh. And yeah. I haven't done anything with my favorite Evil Energy Mage in a while." She's winking with a grin now, teasing away. "We should act like teenagers more, the both of us. See a movie some time, come down by the Cafe and throw money at Haruna. Something like that!"
Takashi Agera has posed:
"I just move slower." Takashi notes, and then a bit grimly. "It's possible I'm heading towards my destruction, too, we just haven't gotten that far along. You never know - obviously, I hope not. But..."

He pauses. "You know, I don't know that I've ever sat in a movie theatre. Always too many things to do." He pauses. "So how is it... without power? I don't mean to prod a sore spot, it's just..."

"I've never not had any power."
Hannah Sharpe has posed:
"Hey! No jinxing yourself! If you did something that stupid, I'd drag you back kicking and screaming. That's what friends do." Points out Hannah with a bit of a smug grin.

"Movie it is. I get the tickets, you get the popcorn. Seriously? Shut-in." Threatens Hannah daringly. But more importantly, she goes silent, pondering how to express it all.

"Don't worry, I'm saving fists for the people who deserve it. It's...like being thrown into a river rushing down to a waterfall without knowing how to swim. You're being dragged along by events you can't control, choking and sputtering, praying you're not going to go over the edge. Grasping for anything that might save your life. To a normal person, that's what youma are. Forces of nature."
Takashi Agera has posed:
Takashi grins. "Yeah, I probably could stand to be a little bit more aggressive knowing I have the Queen of Fists at my back if anything goes too wrong." A pause, half-grin. "Maybe I'll have you teach me how to roll with a punch sooner or later, though. One of Ami's friends doesn't like me and has some guns on the end of her wrists."

"I'm not a shut-in, I just have priorities!" and few friends and no family but that's not relevant...

Then he stops to listen to Hannah's answer. "That sounds... terrible." The tone in his voice is severe, worried. "Not something I want to experience myself. Or, let you experience. We'll come with a solution for you, sooner or later. I can't have you getting depowered before we have our climatic final battle after we get all the other pawns off the board." A joke, to keep himself away from the severity of the situation.
Hannah Sharpe has posed:
"Don't you know it! I'll toughen you up. Wait...guns on...is this like that stupid gun-sword in Final Fantasy? You know what, nevermind. Yeah, I'll help out." Reeeach, whack to Takashi's back. Friendly, and lacking in the concept of personal space as ever!

"Real NEET material~." Tongue right out! Bleeeeeeh!

"I knew I could count on you. Until we flip the table and see it all scatter? Partners. And at least I know you won't go punching me in the face unless I ask for it. So, it's nice." Sigh.

Squint. "So. Found a rebound yet?" Her grin here is /demonic/.
Takashi Agera has posed:
Takashi squints. "I mean figuratively, not like a video game. Like. Her punches are vicious. I'd rather let the Dusk Zone's locals gnaw on me." He reaches back and rubs the spot on his back. She might not be magical, but Hannah is still tough and strong, too.

"...except I am in employment." he says, making a face at Hannah. He doesn't quite get the ribbing, social skills have been something he'd faked but not quite had, in some ways, before he laughs. "Right. I won't flip the table until we're the last ones on the board." He diverts as he realizes he missed some of the American's cues on her ribbing.

"A rebound?" Takashi blinks twice and even backs away just a little, Hannah's got that 'PLANNING SOMETHING' style of grin, and he doesn't know what it is.
Hannah Sharpe has posed:
"Seriously? That...I really need to see that. Seriously, tell me more about this Ami-chan-friend? She sounds fun!" Of /course/ Hannah would think that! Her knuckles are already cracking in anticipation.

Eyes roll. No, no she's not explaining the joke. Instead she finds a seat and lounges.

There's this very, very ominous chuckle. It's not quite Tomoe tier, but Hannah has practiced in front of her mirror after her semi-hero and semi-enabler for quite a bit. Her application is less evil, however.

"What's going to happen is that you're going to get on your sunday best, and I'm going to introduce you to...someone I've met. And then you're going to have fun all things willing. Everything else is my secret to keep. No identities. Just two people going out on a date. Simple as that." Wink. And then she moves from kitchen, over to the couch. Thud. Her legs swing over the back of the couch.

"So. Are you staying tonight? Because I have a bunch of terrible d-list movies, and Haruna isn't around. I'd have no one less than my Best Evil Friend watch with me. I need the distraction, and you need more practice with those social skills of yours, Ta-kun."
Takashi Agera has posed:
Takashi grins back at her. "I was, and still am very tempted to introduce you to her as my adopted older sister who's upset about her attitude, but that might make things more difficult for me down the line..."

"...Sharpe-san, what are you possibly planning. You're worrying me. I don't think I need this rebound. Not if it's what I think." Then he sighs. "But I know that attitude so I guess I don't have much of a choice." It's a playful resignation.

"...I can stay around tonight, yeah. I should spend a night out of the lab." Because Takashi doesn't sleep at home. That would be normal. "And maybe the movies will keep you from remembering about this rebound thing."
Hannah Sharpe has posed:
A single finger rises in pure 'genius'. "No, no, no! I'm your very distant cousin three times removed. People just don't talk about the idiot Americans in your family!" One foot prods at a shoulder of Takashi's with much reaching playfully.

"Nope~! Even if it's a disaster and a restaurant or two are burned down, you're at least going to go home with a memory. I promise!"

Then snaps her fingers, and Boris is off to the kitchen! In doggie form. There's microwave sounds, and a few minutes later, Boris is balancing a popcorn bowl all the way over to a side table on his head. Talent in this Familiar!

"Great. Sit down." Then she clicks the play button.

The movie that comes up? Sharktopus. God help Takun.
