- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
The spaces that Eclipse uses to hold its various side projects are often very well hidden, and WPS is no exception. However, that lovely little case that Kyouko made off with had an extra: a small thumb drive accidentally left in the case. It notes the location of one of the holding cells for some of the woman's assets: familiars, a caged Witch, as well as partial backups of her data. While it wouldn't bring down the company itself, destroying those would be a major setback indeed.
An old abandoned warehouse is the backdrop, late at night and with no security guards. Anonymity seems to be the name of the game: a few squatters are all that one can sense within the building, aside from a small feeling of magic much like that felt in the between-ways in the WPS building. It's subtle, and will take some searching, but it seems the entrance is within an old rusted barrel. One will have to climb in if there aren't any magical teleportation methods around.
The only 'guard' here is a single delinquent teenager, the tatooed young man clearly a yakuza poser judging by the hair and the wooden sword. He's currently imbibing quite a bit of stolen booze right now and singing. Off key.
- Kyouko Sakura has posed:
Kyouko Sakura stands atop a nearby building, in henshin, peering down at the warehouse. A frown touches her face, her brow wrinkling as she considers the place.. fingers opening and closing reflexively around the shaft of her spear a few times. If one didn't know her, they might almost think she looks a little.. nervous. "That's the place." She mutters to herself under her breath.
She has no intention of going into the building. She saw what Hannah did with one of her special Grief Seeds.. why go inside when you can just knock the whole thing down? Granted, she doesn't really know how the Eclipse spatial-distortion magic works, that lets them cram more rooms into an area than there should be, but. If you know the whole building down, surely that'd screw up what's inside, right?
She reaches into her pocket and pulls it out. The altered Grief Seed. She holds it up in her palm, examining it fo the thousandth time. It looks like a regular Grief Seed, but it pulses inside with a strange green light, the strangeness just because it's so different from how Grief Seeds are supposed to look.
"Well.." Kyouko mutters, still talking to herself. Who else would she be talking to? She's in this by herself. "Here goes nothin'."
She raises the altered Seed to her mouth, and puts it between those fangs of hers. Then she bites down with a crack.
At first, nothing seems to happen. Then a distortion spreads out from where she stood.. a spreading, wavering alteration of reality. Those familiar with such things would recognize it as a Witch Labyrinth.. a huge one. But something's different- rather than filled with despair and depression, this one is filled with something different.
Anger. Anger and determination. Like flames, those emotions explode from the Labyrinth, swarming over the building and transferring it into a hellish landscape of blasted rock and roaring fire, the burnt-out remains of trees twisting on the horizon under a blood-red sky.
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
The labyrinth devours much of the physical building: the squatters either fleeing just in time in pure terror, or falling unconscious. Thankfully, Kyouko likely isn't the type to just devour the innocent...even if she very much could. Such is the power of gaining the trappings of a Witch.
Miss White falls out of her bed in the WPS building, the pure sensation of power from not all that far away blasting her awake. From the fight against Corvus, she's weakened, but the possibility of her assets being taken by a /Witch/ of all things has her throwing herself upwards and dashing off. She orders a car, and scrambles both logistics personelle and a good dozen of the robots they use.
This is no ordinary Witch, after all. By the time they arrive, Miss White is at least awake enough to think. She has Homura on speed dial, just in case.
Stepping out amidst the building, she sighs, clenching raging tempest. Her robo-gangsters, all armed with AK's, guard her from all sides. She's definitely prepared, even if weakened.
And then into the labyrinth they go!
"...Too darn familiar." She mutters to herself.
- Kyouko Sakura has posed:
The emotions ruling this Labyrthinth might still be largely negative, but there is a definite difference in tone from the normal sort. There's this intense, buring anger, but its coupled with a steely determination, the kind that overrides doubts and drives action. Action over thought.
And then she arrives. Stepping out from behind one of the burning, half-ruined buildings that stand haphazardly around the broken rock landscape, is a massive figure- inside the Labyrthinth, laws of dimension are skewed. While she's shorter than many of the buildings around, she seems taller than the warehouse itself.
A feminine figure rides a horse seemingly made of ash and burnt wood, like a Trojan Hose that somebody set on fire, then doused. The horse moves like a real horse, but with a strangely jerky quality, almost like a puppet being controlled by invisible strings.
Astride this burnt horse, the figure herself is tall and slender, her body armored with plates of enameled red plate and flowing white cloth, like a cross between a knight and a priest. In one hand she holds a spear, as long as a bus, the tip elongated so that it appears almost more like a lance than a spear.
And she has no head. Instead of a head, the figure has a bright, burning white flame, radiating light like a miniature sun, in the shape of a candle's flame.
That massive horse breaks into a run when it comes into the clear around the warehouse. Though she makes no sound, the figure atop it lowers her lance, couching it in a charging position. It seems like she has one intention, and that is to just wreck that building into rubble!
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
As that massive figure steps into view, Miss White has the sudden realization that she has brought not /nearly/ enough dakka for this situation.
As always, when the giant creature begins charging, she rolls with it. Leaping upon the rooftop of the building, she takes a deep breath. Blowing away, an utterly massive ball of wind forms! She aims a hard kick, even as her robot escorts begin to lay down literal sheets of magical bullets into the charging form of the giant Kaiju-Kyou!
"DIE WITCH! NO ONE TAKES WHAT BELONGS TO ME!" She howls out as she punts the explosive Wind Bomb towards Kyouko. She's already breathing heavily from such a massive work of magic.
Still, something nags in the back of her brain. All of this is far different from your normal Witch. And she's seen it before. But /where/!?
- Kyouko Sakura has posed:
Ordinarily, that strength of attack from Hannah would be enough to cause Kyouko serious pause, one way or the other. But not tonight- with the strength of the altered Grief Seed flowing through her, transforming her in the ultimate form of her anger and her desire for vengeance, the sight of the target of that emotion showing up in person to stand before her only makes it flare all the brighter.
The horse gallops straight for the warehouse, its hooves thundering on the broken ground, its tail streaming out behind it, made of fire! The bullets from the robo-goons tear into the wood of the horse but seem to have little effect. The Wind Bomb streaks towards her, but the massive figure on the house raises up and sweeps her lance forward in an arc.
It impacts the bomb, smashing it off to one side where it spirals to the ground and explodes, causing a huge crater- but the galloping horse is already past it!
Kyouko would normally taunt, or at least howl with rage, but her head is literally fire and so her charge is accomplished in eerie silence. Hannah better get out of the way because she intends to run the horse straight into the building with a crunch of wood and steel and an explosion of fragments everywhere!
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Miss White's brow twitches, concern etched into her face as that blasted Witch /just keeps coming/! Her attack is knocked aside, and she's forced to dodge splinters of ground from the impact! She's hardly in a position to stop that charge, and so, she chooses discretion over valor.
Leaping aside just in time, that massive 'wooden' horse crushes the building like cardboard versus a car. Yet, the loss of the building itself is incidental. That spark of magic, almost lost amidst the splendor of Kyouko's vastly increased aura, could easily take her into the holding area! Indeed, a lesser Witch's aura screams from within that stacked space. The magic is an entry point, and now, Kyouko has kicked down the door straight off the hinges.
The falling bits of debris shatter off of Miss White's shield, and she lands relatively unschathed. Her robo-guards are faring far worse: half of them crushed or broken beneath Kyouko's charge! Yet, they mindlessly fire, and Miss White is at work.
Rather than fight directly, she produces a Barrier of her own: right over that entry point of magic. It's a tiny thing, but may warrant Kyouko's attention.
Otherwise, she reaches into her coat and pulls out...
Is that a bucket of /ice/!? She flings it at Kyouko's head, wind-magic trailing along it! She'll have a tiny buzzing of cold water and magic to contend with, alongside the reduced gunfire and Barrier.
- Kyouko Sakura has posed:
The horse crushes the building to splinters, but as noted, the building itself hardly matters. That little speck of magic though, Kyouko can feel it, even in her altered state. She still can't speak, though the wooden horse snorts and stamps a massive foot as the guards continue to shoot bullets ineffectually at it.
After it comes to a halt over the ruins of the building, Kyou-Witch actually slips down off of the horse.. armored feet crunching into the ground as she lands with a shudder in the debris, her lance-spear held back against one shoulder.
She turns just in time for that bucket of ice to hit her right in the fire-face! It seems like the flame flickers for a moment, and she reels back slightly, but with a hiss the ice melts away.. and the fire remains!
Though she makes no noise, there's an aura of increased anger from the figure, and it's directed at Hannah. Rather than attack her directly though, she sticks to the plan..
The butt of that huge spear raises up, and then lowers.. smashing right into that barrier, and the magic entry beneath it as she stands just over it. Trying to smash it right open and release everything within!
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Scowl! Miss White is simply beyond her means right now, not without proper backup! She fingers a glowing Grief Seed in her belongings...but right now, that might actually be more of a threat even than Kyouko! She would almost assuredly die! After all, the strain is difficult on her, and possibly Kyouko as well!
Down slams her spear, and that entryway is opened quite easily. The barrier offers hardly any resistance. Miss White may as well have spit into the wind. Then, magic shatters, and Miss White and the huge form of Kyouko are sped elsewhere.
Into yet another white-tiled, steel-filled generic sterile hallway common to Miss White's research areas. It's clearly a lab, with barely enough height for Kyouko's form to stand. She might even have had to shrink a little. There's a table, servers, and several glowing compounds in test tubes. In the room behind Kyouko, through a wall and steel doors, one can /feel/ familiars chained and biting to be free!
Which is exactly where Miss White plans to kick Kyouko into, as she rushes forward recklessly, aiming a violent kick with all of her power against Kyouko's 'neck'!
But will it be enough!?
- Kyouko Sakura has posed:
Kyouko's spear shatters the barrier and busts through into the magic facility beneath, and suddenly she finds herself within an area eerily similar to the one in which MIss White had kept her captive. If anything, that only increases her anger. The huge armored figure turns towards where she feels the captive familiars being held, and at the same time she swings her spear , smashing through the servers and research tables, destroying as many as she can.
Then Miss White leaps up, aiming a super-powered kick at her neck. There's an issue though- her neck is just fire! The kick distorts the fire, blowing it out of space for a moment, but mostly it just passes right through. At the same time, Kyouko's armored fist, the one not holding her spear, snaps up and tries to snag Miss White out of the air!
If she succeeds, she'll carry her by one leg like a broken toy as she heads to the door where the Familiars and that lesser Witch are kept and mashes it right down with an outpouring of intense magic and a good, swift kick.
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
The physical impact of that spear is far less than the emotional one: Miss White sees her work shattered in one swing, ironically by her own work itself: she throws herself aside to dodge an errant hard drive shard that almsot takes her head off!
Chemicals everywhere, some causing Hannah's skin to burn, and then her kick goes through /fire/! Her expensive right loafter on fire, she's caught, and then carriered into the adjacent room! The steel doors are shattered open. Reaching into her pocket as she's dragged, leg protesting as bone seeks to snap, she presses a button. The remaining servers die: she's not taking a chance of enemies or 'allies' alike stealing her data.
It's a massive blow, but she can recover. Now she just needs to not /die/!
She aims blasts of wind at the Witch-Kyouko, even as the magically caged Familiars and Witch (it looks distinctly like the Rap Witch of long ago!) all but salivate at the prospect of a meal of their captor! Hannah can't help it. She screams, in fear and anger, trying to slip out of the Artificial Witch's grasp!
- Kyouko Sakura has posed:
Kyouko seems unaffected by the rage of the woman she holds captive in her hand, or by the magic she throws at her. In truth though, the effect of this transformation is beginning to tell. It's not because of anything Miss White does directly, but as she proceeds into the room with the captive horrors, she stumbles, as if suddenly weakened. It causes her to let Miss White go, and the woman can drop to the floor.
Kyouko can feel that something is wrong.. her power is waning, and it's starting to /hurt./ But she's not.. done.. yet.
She falls to one knee, keeping herself upright in the room as the familiars and the Witch rattle against their cages all around her. She refuses to give in, even as the power, reaching the limits of what one of the altered Grief Seeds could contain, begins to flee from her. She saves up everything she has left, drawing in power like sucking in a huge breath. Red light seeps out of the very area, coalescing into her form to beget a soft red glow..
And then she releases it all at once! A maelstrom of fire and rage explodes outwards from her, hopefully smashing the entire alternate dimension of this hidden base and blowing it free into the real world in a huge column of fire, shooting into the sky! At the same time, her artificial labyrinth collapses, returning the warehouse to the normal district of downtown Tokyo, now a smoking ruin.
If any of the Familiars or the Witch survive the terrible cyclone of fire, they may be able to get away, unless Hannah has some kind of safety net in place in the real world. As for Kyouko herself.. there's no immidiate sign amongst the smoking ruins.
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Miss White wastes no time in backpedaling, as she's suddenly let go. A loss of strenght, that almost visible note of power draining...it's deja-vu, and some of her wounds hurt more than others.
She smirks a bit. She recognizes this kind of effect, and an inkling of the situation reaches her. Still, she leaps back, and just in time!
Kyouko's unleashing of pure inferno is more than enough to turn Warehouse and Sub-Space into pure anarchy! Flame destroys evidence and data and work alike, leaving a rent that's just enough for Hannah to be teleported out of by her own Device! She lands, barrier jacket completely on fire, before being thrown aside as she stops, drops, and rolls.
She looks across the next building. A building decidedly on fire, collapsing, and entirely in ruins alongside a good four points of investments, personal and company wide.
She'll have to call in favors now, if she wants to make good on a few opportunities. The Witch and Familiars are all either gone, or dieing as they're consumed by rabid flame.
Just before she passes out, Miss White smirks.
"...What...kind of Witch...can do /that/!?" Thunk. Luckily, Boris will be along to pick her up.
- Kyouko Sakura has posed:
Although Miss White may not be in any position to look, there's a small, red-haired figure laying amongst the rubble of where the building used to be. Kyouko is strwen like another piece of rubble, wounds all over her body, blood running from her nose and the corners of her eyes. She appears to be completely unconscious, but the labored rise and fall of her chest indicates she's at least still alive.
In her left hand rests her red soul gem. Blackness swirls around inside it, but that's not the most ominous thing. Straight through the red jewel itself, from one side to the other, is a thin but noticable crack.
As she lays there, it starts to rain, the drops hissing as they land on the superheated remains of the warehouse.
