Hi Honey!
Date of Scene: 29 August 2018
Location: Earth Court Frat House - Roof
Synopsis: Mamoru has rose honey for Lacrima! In fact, a whole vat of it. They catch up a little, and then Lacrima has a sad and uncomfortable request for the prince.
Cast of Characters: Mamoru Chiba, Norie Okana

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Mamoru'd texted Lacrima asking if she had a new place to hide, and how she was doing on rose honey. She'd answered that she'd more or less georgeproofed her spooky mansion, but had been out of rose honey for a while, and apparently, THAT WILL NOT STAND. So he'd asked if she wanted to pick up a literal vat of it, or have it delivered--

--probably no vampire has ever texted back they'd be RIGHT THERE so quickly.

He said he'd be home in half an hour, and after that half hour's up, he texts her with 'roof! <3'

Now he's up there in a white tie and tails and cape and glove and mask, hauling a ... yes, a literal vat. As vats go, it's the smallest size there is, but that's still fifteen gallons, which is about 180 lbs. That's... undoubtedly why he's in henshin.

He brings it out and lets the door close behind him, then plonks it on the rooftop, looking extremely pleased with himself.

"Ta-daa!"
Norie Okana has posed:
There was one quicker time, but it involved a unicorn and donuts. Regardless it was still pretty quick. She arrives via a Dusk Step on the roof--- the roof is safe enough for that. She does arrive at one of the corner edges though. It's a courtesy thing of not just shoving oneself into the middle of someone else's location.

She blinks a bit at the vat. She did not expect like an industrial chemical vat of rose honey, no. This is still more than she expected though.

She's glad she's a vampire because this would be difficult to get down there or anywhere else. "That's a ... lot of rose honey." she says with wide eyes. She taps it. "Are you sure?" she asks. "I'm not sure how much of this you're able to make. I don't want to deprive others of it." she says a little softly. "Not that I am complaining even a little." she says softly.

"...is restoration going okay?" she asks Mamoru, in relation to the damage Saint George caused. "Also. What was. Usagi talking about. Something about a wedding in the middle of all that?" she asks.

Because she lives in a coffin which is basically a cave. She probably hasn't heard the news yet. "....OH!" she says as she fumbles for her phone finally. "I-- right! I meant to show you some silly text I got from Ariel's phone that night, it's why I wandered into the room." she says as she taps taps it and shows Mamoru the text.

> A text from Ariel Theodore: hey bae why don't u come on over and lay your head in my lap-- <VOICE TO TEXT> 'MOM WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH MY PHONE?!' Bleat bleat bleat!

"T...the phone picked up her bleats." she giggles insanely.
Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Mamoru de-henshins as soon as Lacrima takes custody of the precious vat, and he starts to answer the first question, then the second one, then the third one, but then Lacrima interrupts herself again and has him listen, and his eyes widen, and he stares at the 'bleat bleat bleat!' and abruptly he has to clap his hands over his mouth to stop from actively GUFFAWing. It comes out sounding extremely silly. "Oh my god," come the words, finally, stifled and still trying not to laugh, but his eyes are crinkled at the corners and it's a really tough job.

"Lacchan that is priceless," he exhales, grinning at the sky, hands over his stomach. "God-- ah-- you asked questions-- um--"

It takes him a second, but he collects his brains again and tries to switch modes as he answers, "Can definitely spare it. Mako-chan and I immediately started making more as soon as I was recovered, and we get the stuff in bulk, and I can make a bunch of roses in a sitting, so we do make a lot. We actually have a batch we've been working on fermenting into mead, I'm really excited to see how it comes out."

Then he grins lopsidedly. "Naru's fixing the parts of the mural that got acid on them, and there wasn't actually any structural damage. We just have to replace a couch and most of the kitchen appliances and repaint or paper parts of the kitchen decor."

And he saves the best for last, cracking his knuckles and rocking back on his heels, then up on his tiptoes, and his smile is breathless sunshine and joyful warmth. "Usagi proposed."
Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima snorts. "Ari's unicorn mom is such a dad." she says as she pockets the phone. She listens as she crosses her arms a moment nods. "Alright." she says. "It's nice to see you didn't need too long to get back into the swing of it then." she says softly. "I know when I have to... reform most of my body from dark energy scratch it can take me a week or so to get used to it again.

She nods. "I bet Naru is unhappy about that. I think I fixed it in the short term to stop George from doing that to Lamya again." she says softly.

She then blinks and 'ohs!' "Oh!" she says. "Oh that's good!" she says, as she sits on top of the vat of rose honey.

"I mean..." she says quietly. "I'm assuming the wedding won't be until she gets out of the last grade of high school at least." a pause.

"N..not that I'm shaming you.. or anything if it isn't!" she says suddenly, realizing what she said could be seen as judgmental. "I mean! I'm in no place to critiziceanyoneI'llshutupnow." she says rapidly.

"Just I need to think of an appropriate gift now..." she says tapping her chin. "I suppose I have time. Or maybe I don't, I don't knowohgodIshouldjustshutup." she says as she cups her face.
Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"To be honest, if it's before she's twenty, it's when her mom and dad okay it," laughs Mamoru. "I got out of her dad's shotgun threats quite neatly by him already having had the dadtalk with me and THEN Usako doing the actual proposing-- I mean I'd given her a promise ring a couple of years ago, and I've been carrying an engagement ring around for like a year, but she got impatient and I couldn't be happier. I'm going to ask her parents if I can take their family name when we get married."

"As far as my body goes... Miho actually got it working again and then took it to Kunzite's place, you were there-- with the giant cat-- where I could be on magical life support. So it was just getting put back in my body where I belonged, and it only took a day or so of sleep before I was back up to speed. Nothing was blocking me anymore. I'm still marveling at being able to feel everything again..."

Finally Mamoru just laughs, and actually reaches, leans, and ruffles Lacrima's hair. "You're fine. You have time. And get us something silly! I mean-- when she put the ring on my finger she said 'bloop', and when I put hers on her finger, I said 'shinnnnng' so..."
Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima whews. Not that she was worrying too hard about offending anyone. It's just... dark energy worry. Ugh. "Ugh, you guys are so sickeningly sweet together." she says. "I mean that in the good way. Mind you." she says. "Rashmi says the same thing about me and Ariel." she mutters.

She head tilts. "Riventon-sama gave me a promotion. I'm Vice-Director of the organization he runs, now." she says. "Speaking of..." she says. "We caught the source of the recent bad storms... which turned out to be the 'Storm' Clow Card." she mutters. "But... during it the... um... fight there was..." she trails off and moves onto a new line of questioning, though on the same topic- not that she finishes the thought for it to be apparent.

"When George showed up, there was a girl with black hair... purple and black outfit... something like a shield on her arm. Able to teleport really fast. Used what appeared to be conventional firearms." she says. "Who was that?" she asks softly.
Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"Homura Akemi. She used to be tangentially related to Eclipse, when she and Hannah started up Witch Protection Services, but she and Agera-san have a long history of antagonism," Mamoru answers, leaning against the stairwell door and putting his hands in his pockets. "She was my first real friend in this life. What did she do? That makes you worried? She wouldn't kill Agera-san, not unless he directly went after the person who is to her what Usako is to me."

He reaches up to run a hand through his hair. "I'm glad you guys caught the Storm Card. My offer to Agera-san still stands: we'll help with the crisis any way we can, no matter who ends up having to fight the problem in the end." A beat, and he glances up at Lacrima, trying not to look worried, himself. "You got a promotion. I know Agera-san dislikes me immensely, and I don't think he'd target me as directly as he did with Sailor Earth again, but... the more you're going to have to tell him, the less I'm going to be able to tell you. One thing I'd desperately ask is that you not tell him about the place where Kunzite took you when Earth stole my soul. The place where my body was on life support. That place is... it's sacred. It's part of the soul of the planet itself. I really don't-- I don't want him to find out anything about it, if I can help it. I don't want him to try and take it. It's-- holy. Sarcastic giant cat and all."
Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima nods. "I won't tell him about it. I promise." she says. "I can't promise he'll find out some other way eventually, but I can promise it won't be from me." she gently sighs a bit. She leans back on the vat she's still sitting on. "I understand." she says. "On not telling me everything. I already expect that. But the things I do hear on accident around here, I helpfully forget when I leave... the... rules." she says. "...I'm pretty sure, going back with things I learn here to Eclipse breaks the spirt of your rules. Leaving... factions at the door. I assume that works leaving the door as much as it does entering the door." she says.

She looks down. "Rashmi-chan tried to recruit me for Virtue when I was upset at Takashi-sama. Even if I did leave Eclipse and UMBRA at that time, I don't think Virtue wants anything to do with me. I mean I hurt people as a facet of me just existing. Half of Virtue is probably sworn to fight things like me on principal alone."

"Ah? She did nothing. I had to fight her. I felt bad about it. I just didn't know her name." she says quietly. "-and I felt bad because she was there fighting my brother, too. I didn't try very hard- since I was trying to just occupy her attention." she says.

Then she thinks. "Kyouko is okay, too, right?" she asks.

"I know she doesn't like me. I don't expect everyone to have the same tolerances you and some others have for me. Doesn't mean I wish her ill or harm."
Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Mamoru gives Lacrima a lopsided and most affectionate smile. "You're better at the rules than anyone else I know, I think," he says, a little amused, but mostly kind of-- proud? Proud of her. He's already leaning, not sitting, so he just shifts his weight and puts one foot up on the door behind him, standing with just the one leg on the rooftop. "Virtue's complicated. Not all of us here are members-- I'm more a member out of habit than anything else, and sometimes I think about leaving it, but I don't want to leave Rashmi and Naru in the lurch, nor those of my Shitennou who are members."

He glances aside and lets out a breath through momentarily pursed lips, then lifts a hand to push his hair out of his glasses. "When did you have to fight Homura? And yeah, Kyouko's fine. She's not going to hold it against you, just against Ryo-- and more for taking a shot at me instead of hurting her, I think. Though that, I'm sure, will be part of it. She's good at grudges."
Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima shifts. "When one is a horrible dark energy being one learns that if you want trust you should probably obey the spirit of the rules, aswell as the rules proper- set before you anywhere." she says. "---and while the... whole vampire invitation rule isn't a thing--- it makes us feel better if we're welcome if we're in someone's home I think." she asides.

"Yeah I get that. Eclipse has it's outliers too. But Eclipse knows it's fractured. I described it as 'Dilbert, but with more stabbing' to Miho the other day." she says with a cocked smile.

"The other day. During the card capture. Her and a pink magical girl showed up. Arrows. Frilly dress. I'm going to assume she's the girl you mentioned since the two seemed familiar with one another. I don't think she took it personally- I didn't try to make it so at least. Seemed sad to be fighting me." she says.

"I uh. I think they dropped... the girl. Sakura? Off here. Not sure if she was injured or not--- Riventon saved her from the card from killing her-- he tanked the hit but she was still pretty out of it by then."

She shifts. "I have a hard request for you..." she says. "... but I'll. Ask it another time. If things start looking bleaker... about Ryo." she says quietly.

She hops off the vat as she touches it.

"I'm going to go ahead and let you get back to things. Thanks for the rose honey, Mamoru-kun--- and..." a pause, as if remembering something, but just shakes her head. "Nevermind." she says.

"And-- also thank you again, for hosting me." she says. "Sorry if I spooked anyone with the coffin. But it is kind of one of the few vampire things that's half-true. I don't need the coffin, like one doesn't need a bed, but sleeping on the floor is terrible--- and sleeping in the open-- bed or otherwise-- makes for fitful 'sleep' for me." she says with a sideways smile again.
Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"You didn't spook anyone. The fact that Neil wears pants in the mornings when there are guests means that everyone was grateful, coffin and all," Mamoru says cheerfully, pushing himself up off the door. "And you're right, that girl is the girl I was talking about. And--"

Here Mamoru looks a little embarrassed, a little wistful, maybe. "Thank you for telling me Riventon tanked the hit for Sakura. They dropped her off here, and I gave her some energy and took her to a friend of hers. She'll be fine. Is--"

He looks awkward. "Is Riventon okay? And-- you can ask me anything. Or you can text me it if you don't feel up to talking about it in person."
Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima fidgets. "Riventon-sama is okay. He actually collapsed and I caught him. He's fine and just needed to sort of absorb energy. Homura and that other let us leave without issue as long as we didn't try to gank any cards from the girl. That was fair, at least by my standards. Riventon was sort of out cold at that point so couldn't complain in any event." she asides.

But then she sort of fidgets. "Look... I..."

"....nrg....don't want to. Put you on the spot. It's..."

"....lots of people. Are thinking Ryo is going to end up dead. Someone is going to kill him, or he's going to die trying to do something dumb like kill Lamya or kidnap someone because he thinks they're his dumb princess." she says.

"I hope he doesn't end up dead. I hope there's a way to knock sense into his head. But I'm also placed in the more and more likely scenario that he'll piss off the wrong people enough or put someone in enough danger or doing so something so grievous that won't be any other choice but to... do. That." she says.

"I just... I need... someone. To go with me. To speak to my parents. If that happens. Someone who can... explain. Or help them understand. Because if that happens. They need to know what happened. Where I've been. Even if it doesn't make any sense to them. Or...." she just shifts.

"I don't want to ask you. I know you... um. Empath. Thing-- grieving parents. Probably not pleasant." she says. "But at the same time. You're one of the best people I know who can help me most with that.... BECAUSE of that fact..." she says quietly.
Mamoru Chiba has posed:
The prince's expression softens. "I'll go with you. I'd go with you now to try and explain to them before anything terrible happens, but I expect they'd want to try and change his mind, and I don't trust he has the clarity of mind to keep himself from hurting them if they seem sympathetic to anyone that's not him. I mean... I'm getting kind of used to talking to people's parents, really..."

He rubs his chin musingly, squinting into the middle distance. "I even talked to Hannah's parents when she went bonkers with that awful sword."

Then his gaze shifts abruptly to Lacrima again, and he looks serious. "I'm kind of bad at explaining without bringing magic into it. I tried once. So as long as you're okay with that..."
Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima shakes her head. "No. No not before. All that'd do is put him in the position /I'm/ in right now. Run away from home. Probably desperate. It'll make things worse. It wouldn't go well. Not even a little bit." she says with a sigh. "Besides. My parents haven't seen me for a little over a year right now. That alone is going to need a lot of explaining." she says. "Before even moving onto the Ryo problem." she says quietly.

"... On. The magic issue. That's fine. If that happens. They deserve to know everything." she says quietly. "Even the magic things." she says.

"I'm not sure if they'd understand. But... yeah." she says.

"I should go now. Thanks for... hearing that." she says. "I need to let Jia-chan and Lamya-chan know the manor is okay to come back to now."
Mamoru Chiba has posed:
There's a little bit of a wry look on Mamoru's face, honestly sympathetic but kind of sadly amused about people's understanding of magic. He nods. "I have your back," he confirms. "And don't worry about it, I'm happy to help. Tell them hi from me!"

Once Lacrima and her honey have teleported off the roof, the prince goes back inside -- families are so complicated.
