A Gull and a Hawk Go On A Date! | |
---|---|
Date of Scene: | 21 November 2015 |
Location: | Mitakihara - Karaoke Crown |
Synopsis: | It's date time for Hannah and Haruna! There's singing, dancing, and backstory and wishes shared! |
Cast of Characters: | Hannah Sharpe, Haruna Kurosawa |
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Knock knock knock! Hannah arrives at Haruna's living space, dressed in a rather casual set of bluejeans (Wranglers, of course.) and a t-shirt for a local jazz band. There's no Boris with her today, she's alone it seems.
Thankfully she knows the area pretty well. There's also something that she's hiding behind her back with a very, very big grin.
"Heeeey there, Haruna-chan! You in there!?" She adds after a moment. For some reason, she can't help but feel nervous. It's been a while since a date, and frankly, her last relationship went horridly. But this is Haruna. Even if things go south, it won't shake their friendship. A small sigh, and she settles into her usual confident demeanor.
She does fidget as she waits, though.
- Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna opens the door with a peek. She closes the door. Then she opens it more properly. She makes a small 'shhhhh' motion. "Aki's sleeping with Corvus. It's really adorable." she insists. "Now I also don't feel bad leaving Corvus alone now cuz he has someone else to bug!" she beams. She's dressed in her usual wear nothing fancy!
She peeks. "So...where we goin?" she asks sheepishly. She peeks a bit. Is Hannah-chan hiding something?
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Eep! Hannah blushes a bit.
"Woops! Okay, okay, I'll keep it down. How's she doing, by the way? No long term effects?" Aki seems nice enough, plus she's Haruna's sister, so there's a certain level of investment from the magical CEO.
A wink! "Gotta share the insanity around, huh?" Poor, poor Aki!
Then there's something being shoved at Haruna! It's a bouquet of flowers! Nice red ones, and real too.
"I figured we should at least start this off with a /little/ formality. Dad would kill me otherwise."
A laugh, and after giving her a moment to take them inside if she wants, Hannah offers an arm to Haruna.
"Do you know where the Karaoke Crown is? You seem like you need some stress relief, so hearing you sing your heart out would be great!"
- Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa blushes, flowers!? She'd never gotten flowers before---heck! Riventon just appeared like a jerk that was her first date ever! She merfs.."O--oh! Thank you...!" she says as she dips back inside and places them..um... uh oh. She doesn't have a vase. So they get shoved into a conbenie foam cup that she rinses out. It'll have to do!
She comes back out and beams and takes Hannah's arm all cross-like. She beams a little. Still blushy.
"I never been really." she admits. "I know it's somewhere in the Neon District but I don't go there a lot..." she mumbles. "Do you know?" she asks. "I uh..."
"Don't sing very well, but I can try." she says.
"Oh! Aki's doing well. She's able to henshin and nothing's 'broken' like.. magically. She's just tired. Really tired. She'll be fine in a week~" she beams.
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Hannah gives an elbow-thrust of triumph!
"Good to hear it! We /have/ to have lunch some time after Aki gets better, alright?" She sounds utterly excited here.
And then there's a cute, blushing Haruna!
"Has anyone ever told you that you're adorable when you're embarrassed, Haruna?" That's right, dig it in Hannah! Arm taken, she'll let Haruna generally lead the way.
"Well, you just follow my directions and we'll make it there in one piece."
Then, Hannah's giving directions, practically down to the number of steps as she's so prone to doing. Along the way, she makes small talk, sharing the latest Infinity high school gossip and various scandals amongst the students.
Finally, though, they arrive at the Karaoke bar! There's seats, menus, and a selection of songs next to the machine itself with two microphones!
"Here we are!" Hannah quickly orders some food and a drink, sipping on a coke. Luckily, there's a braille version of the menus.
"So! What kind of music do you like, Haruna?" Hannah's already queuing up a Johnny Cash song, god help poor Gull.
- Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa follows along to the Karoke crown. She hears gossip. She likes gossip. Well. Mostly. She makes a few mental notes. She smiles. "Aki wants to know more about you, too. I think I worried her though. I've been trying to find ways to tell her... about things. Just. From her prespective---as she's been telling me. She left home a few days ago and I was young and shier and then she woke up in a hospital bed and I'm... me still just..." she sighs. "You know?" she murmurs.
She follows along and smiles along the way and---into the Karoke place they go. She says. She sits down and lets Hannah order for them. She sips on a coke also because--well. Coke is classic, duh!
"Um. Beepy stuff." she says. "Like... electronic stuff." she says. "But..that's not very vocal." she squints. "What's a Johnny Cash?" she asks softly.
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Hannah contemplates the Aki Situation. She finally just sighs.
"I'll be honest with you, Haruna. There's no good way to explain events to someone who went through the equivalent of an Evil Time Warp. Don't sugar-coat it, tell her everything that's important and any details she needs. Otherwise? She's not an idiot, right? She'll adjust. Spend time with her. Help her out. And more than anything else, just be /you/. Sure, you've changed, but you're still her sister. I think once she has time under her belt to get used to it, she'll be just fine. So don't get too caught up in explaining things the 'right' way."
Siiip. Mmm. Delicious carbonated 'Murica.
"Yeeeah, that's not very sing-y. W...what!?" Her eyes go wide.
"You've never heard of...alright, that's it."
She presses the play button on the kareoke machine, grabs Gull's arm, and pulls her up. One hand has the mic, the other is leading Gull into a swinging, wild dance to the music!
"Ohhh love, is a burnin' thing~"
"And it maaakes, a fiery ring~."
- Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa isn't really up to speed on Western Singers. Johnny Cash sounds like someone with a big black spiky haircut to her with a lot of bling. She is sipping her drink. "Yeah just. Having trouble how to explain that---I work for you and---um.. other things." she blushes.
Oh wait she's being tugged before she can get another sip of her soda as she's tugged. She has a micrphone shoved into her hand and she stares wide eyed. She misses her cue and has to catch up quickly as she stares at the cue card.
"boundbywilddesire-Ifellintoaringoffire-" she says. Then.
"I fell into a burning ring of fire, I went---d-down down down?....."
Okay that was awkward. She blinks. Her voice is shaky. She isn't a good singer, it's passable for someone who's been in a music class.
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
"Well, if it's too much, just send her to me, okay? Better for her to make up her own mind about me than being fed other people's opinions." Not easily boiled down is one Hannah Sharpe.
And then they're singing, and dancing, and Hannah is just a whirlwind of song. She jostles Haruna every now and hten when she looks ready to die of embarrassment, Hannah utterly hamming up the lyrics with exaggerations and spins!
"See, you can do it if you try! You just need some polishing!"
Okay, she's awful, but Hannah isn't going to be a jerk on a date.
"And the flaaaames went higher~. And it burns burn burns, that ring of fire!"
When the song finally ends, she puts down the mic, and tugs Haruna into a spinning princess-carry back to their seats.
"Hah hah hah, that was great!" Then, there's food! She starts scarfing down, clinking soda glasses with Haruna.
"You should bring Aki here some time!"
- Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa eeks! She's poked and prodded and embarassed but she /is/ having a good time and that is clearly obvious because she doesn't actually stop or freeze or run away. She blushes and is spun--and princess carried(!?) back to the seat and this causes her to blush way more fiercely than before. Yeah blushing is her default state right now. Luckily, she manages to dispell it before all the blood in her body moves into her head and makes her pass out.
She manages to eat and bites her lip. "Maybe. Aki likes singing in the shower. I think she'd be better at me at least." she says thoughtfully. She blushes a bit.
She closes her eyes and sighs blissfully. "That was fun I think...." she says with a bit lip. She pauses a bit as she seems to be searching her thoughts to try to figure out some words. You can see the thought process on her face.
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Hannah looks /way/ too proud of herself, having left Haruna a blushing PreCure mess! She's still humming along, too!
Siiip. She thankfully gives Haruna some time to compose herself, not bothering to drop the quietly smug look, before just laughing.
"Now /that/ is the sound I wanted to hear a little birdy make. Feeling better?" She comes far more gently, in between devouring food. One might not want to put a hand too close to her.
"That's how Elvis started out, you know? Maybe she'll end up as a pop idol!"
Then there's a long pause, and Hannah helps fill the void.
"Something on your mind, Haruna? Speak your mind. I think that's part of your problem. You get too caught up in saying the right things."
- Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa blushes. "Erm. kind of..." she admits. "And you're right. I do get caught up in that. But. I-- speaking my mind is hard. You know?" she softly murmurs. "Aki snooped into my stuff last night when I went to sleep." she softly mutters. "But when I got up this morning she said she was happy and proud that----I had contacts in my phone... and a planner with---actual things in it and---" she says. "There was a time where I only had a phone to talk to Aki and I'd ignore anyone else that called because I was scared of talking to new people and my planner only had dates I had to return library books back...." she says softly.
"--and even though I'm still shy and blush I-- well. I don't run and hide anymore?" she says. She just sort of sighs and takes a deep breath.
"I..um. love you. n' stuff." she finally says. And stuff. It's a habit picked up from Katsu-chan.
"I wanted to get that Riventon-stuff outta my head n'... I did n'.. I--um. Yeah." she reaches out to try to touch Hannah's hand. "-and I know if I didn't say it sooner than later I'd regret it- and that's why I wanted to go on a date. And go on more dates n'--- stuff." that's a useful word. She'll have to thank Katsu-chan for it.
"I mean. If you don't... feel that way then I can't. help that. But.. I had to. Tell you what I felt---" she says silently.
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
A small nod from Hannah. "I guess that's true. Maybe I just don't have a filter." Frown. Sigh.
"Still, the trick is confidence. Better to be hated for who you are, et cetera. Try it around people you know and trust first. You'll get better at it. It's a skill, like anything else. Believe in yourself."
Then she's snickering just a little.
"I see your sister's a troublemaker."
She lets Haruna get it all out.
"It sounds like you two are going to do just fine."
But suddenly there's far more personal area to cover. Hannah at first looks unsure of what Haruna's getting at, before she finally just drives her point home.
It hits her like a punch to the jaw and sends her reeling. Her eyes widen, in surprise and a little confusion. In love with...her?
Haruna's hand is taken, and for once, Hannah looks outright scared. It's her turn to bite her lip, even through a forced smile as she tries to master her emotions. She fails, and grips that hand hard.
"...Haruna, I don't know what to say..." She starts, looking away and rubbing her eyes.
She's silent, but pulls herself together.
"I won't lie to you, Haruna. My feelings are a jumbled mess. I like you, as a friend, as an ally, even as an enemy. And..."
"Yeesh, you really do know how to put someone off their feet. You can do this, Hannah!"
Another deep breath. "I've had an awful dating life, Haruna. The last time I got really close to someone, it ended poorly. I'll admit it, this is really, really scary for me. And not just because of our jobs."
She rubs her hair.
"I don't really know if I feel that way right now. But, I think..." Gulp. Why is simply being honest so much harder than any fight? It makes the conflict with Phantom seem almost easy in comparison.
"I think that I want to find out. Because no matter what, you're my friend, and I trust you, Haruna. So you're someone I can take a chance on, and maybe, just maybe we can sort out this tangled mess that's me." She 'looks' into Haruna's eyes, smiling, trying to ignore the tears.
- Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa stands up. Oh god, is she going to walk off in a huff!? Is she going to run away and cry in the bathroom!? Well Haruna is many things and maybe she would, but she isn't feeling like that at the moment. She sits down next to Hannah more properly and wraps her arms around her into a tight hug and holds Hannah for a moment. She releases after a moment.
"Tell me what happened ?" she asks softly. She smiles a little. She looks down.
"No---I. I understand Hannah." she says peeking back. Just Hannah, no-chan. She's being respectful!
"Just...I wanted you to know I don't have these feelings outta something silly like... I feel I 'owe' you something is all, too." she smiles.
"But...um. Who was your last....." um. "Boyfriend...? Girlfriend...?" she asks softly. She doesn't know!
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Warm arms wrap around her, and Hannah sighs. She trembles just a bit at the memory, scowling, caught somewhere between loss and pure fury.
"Thank you. Heh, good. See, you can do it when you try. I don't know what you see in me, Haruna, but friend or girlfriend, I'm going to do my best for you." Another tight squeeze.
She steels herself.
"Rurako Doji. She's beautiful, kind, smart...all of the things that made my heart skip."
"We got along well, and for a long time, I really thought I'd found the one for me. But she grated at me. How stoic and sometimes cold she could get. And then she wanted me to change, to move away from Tokyo. I think that was the last straw. It was...ugly. She said some things I couldn't accept."
She chuckles bitterly. "I rushed in and didn't think. Didn't see the signs that we wouldn't work. I was, well, blind."
- Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa smiles a little and looks down. "Yeah...cold... and---" she just shakes her head. "That's what---I had to find out about Riventon. I just thought---he was handsome. You know?" she mutters a little with a blush. "He's just another jerk though. I mean. Like he doesn't get things. Also a biiiig ego. Cold and a Jerk." she says.
She lets Hannah go and smiles. "Well. uh. "Dunno about beautiful..." she says sheepishly. "But I do know I'm kind. And--- I'm not a genius but---I pass school." she says softly.
"Aki says I'm pretty but I think I could be a sack of potatoes and she'd call me that." she huffs!
She blushes. "I dunno if I could be cold. I don't want people to change for me. If---I love someone I'm going to follow them around anywways I guess---but..." she shrugs.
She blushes. "Well. Um. You're the first friend I had a long time Hannah-chan." she says. "I mean. When I was. Scorn." she says.
She smiles. "You're not blind Hannah...!" she says.
She pauses.
"I mean um. Not like the way you're saying..." she says. "If you were. Would you even be where you are now...?" she asks softly.
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
There's a single finger that taps her own forehead. She chuckles oddly.
"He's..." Pause. /Pause/.
"Complicated." That's all she seems to be willing to say right now. Gull isn't /wrong/, but she's not going to insult her partner either.
She does grin though. "Oh yeah. Huge. He makes me seem humble!"
A grin. "All good things to build on! Seriously, if you've gone from being a crippling introvert to who you are now, I have a good feeling for your future. Though I'll bet your sister has already drowned you in praise like that!"
There's suddenly an arm around Haruna, and Hannah leans in against her shoulder. Yup. Snuggle time!
"I guess sisters are like that."
Hannah can't help but smile, eyes lidded. One fist balls up but not out of anger.
"Oh, come on!" Oh yeah, she's blushing.
"You're way too sweet, Haruna. I just gave you a nudge when you needed it."
Hannah then just relaxes a bit.
"Heh. Maybe. I guess I have the opposite problem. I see too much. The good in people that the 'bad guys' ignore. The world around us, how it sucks out the soul of good people every day that so many are ignorant of. Sometimes I wish I could be like you guys." At the end of it all, she still considers Pretty Cure and others to be so naieve. Even if it's a kind of naieve she likes.
"It's really a shame. If you guys were right, then, we wouldn't have to fight each other so much."
Then once again she's leaning lazily.
"...Sorry, I shouldn't bring up stuff like that when you're out here to have a good time." Even Hannah gets depressed every now and then. There's a half-hearted noogie!
- Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa shakes her head. She smiles and leans in a little. "There's good in everyone. Even Riventon, you know..." she murmurs. "He's agreed to meet me for burgers afterall---even if we need to punch each other. So he can't be true evil. True evil doesn't eat burgers." she insists with a curt matter of fact nod.
She smiles. "Well. Even if we need to fight, that's okay." she says. "Sides only exist in combat." she insists. "That's what Kami-sama says. When the fighting stops---- sides stop existing." she says. "Besides I---- even if that wasn't the case. I can't just leave you guys behind because we're on different sides. I'd refused. I'd--- joined WPS anyways even if ended up some normal jerk..." she mutters. "Paperwork or something!" she insists. "Ao-chan is a friend too. Your both good friends. I couldn't turn my back on that. Never!"
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
"You think so? I've met some real monsters out there."
Then, she just shrugs.
"Well. Good or evil doesn't matter in the end. So maybe I'm wasting time thinking about it."
Burgers. Squint.
"...I won't say 'don't ever change', but don't ever stop being you, Haruna."
Cue a sigh.
"Magic or not, you're never going to be normal. But let's not go down that road. The last time, well, it caused me and a bunch of friends no end of trouble. That spark puts you in a position of power and strength. Don't lose it." As always, Hannah can't think too far ahead of power.
Her eyes close, and then Hannah grins.
"Yeah. No matter what, I won't turn my back on you, either. Yeesh, that reminds me. I need to introduce your sister to Ao. Might be good for both of them, huh?"
- Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa smiles. "I had Aki tell me some stories. It wasn't as----- 'busy' as it was back then? You still had some jerks. She was powerful back then. She's just weak right now from the whole affair." she smiles and sighs gently.
She smiles as she leans her hands out to grab Hannah's own. "I know. That's why...I felt safe... aditting what I did." she says softly. She beams.
"I think Aki would latch onto Ao and start carting her around places." she laughs. "If you didn't mind that. Aku liked doing that to me. She'd force me to go out and try to---just deal with people." she mutters. "It helped. A little. But a lot of what she was helping me went out the window with well----" she sighs.
"She was taken away." she smiles.
"I'm glad Corvus and Aki are getting along. Tsukasa and Blue were with me when I told her the story of--- everything. They wouldn't let me tell most of it. They felt very bad that'd I'd told that story so many times and didn't want me to have to tell it alone to Aki of all people. It made me feel good." she smiles. "Aki isn't worried about it. She just feels weak and is healing. When she's back to full strength, she wants to be a Precure Team. She just doesn't know what to call us. That was her dream...." she says.
"To be a team when I was older." she says gently. "When I wasn't so shy."
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
"Then it sounds like she'll adjust quickly. Good." There's way too much going on to be behind the curve too much right now.
Hannah laughs. "And I'm glad you did. Honesty is important when it doesn't put others in trouble."
Alright, she's really laughing now.
"Go for it! You hardly need my permission! Ao-chan needs to get out more anyway! She gets gloomy and depressed a lot, you know?" Hannah can appreciate what it's like to feel weak, after all.
"I'm glad you have good, reliable allies right now." She doesn't think much of Blue, but knowing he was at least there for Haruna softens her opinions almost instantly. Hard to hate someone when they've helped out one of your best friends.
"It's a good dream. Maybe..."
She tilts her head.
Grin.
"Pretty Cure Tidal Wave!"
- Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa ughs! "That's also horrible! She keeps...yelling stuff like.... "Precure Gorgeous Tyhpoon!" and then she says something goofily. "It's because we're both pretty girls!" she says. "And just ugh--- I just wanna fight by my sister's side. I don't need a silly name..." she says folding her arms across her arms.
She grins. "Hannah can I ask a question? How do you know Ao...?" she asks softly.
"She seems so shy and--and. you're. Like..."
"The complete opposite." she blushes.
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
"Hey! I think that's a nice name! What about 'Precure Glamorous Wave' or "Precure Tropical Storm!'"
Okay, now she's just messing with Haruna!
Both brows rise.
"How did I meet Ao? Well..." She leans back, and puts her feet up on the table like a total Eclipse jerk.
"It was...yeesh, almost two and a half years ago now. I had just come to Japan with my parents. I had a rough time of it at first. The schooling was tough, half the school thought I was either some kind of punk delinquent or a poor, lost foreigner that needed to be coddled because she was blind." She's frowning here distastefully.
"The first half I managed to punch into respect, but that didn't do much for me. Just reinforced the delinquent aspect even though I started to do great in school. The other half went from 'coddling blind girl' to 'stay away from that crazy foreigner'."
"Ao and I met at a library. We were both doing a project, and just bumped into each other. She was quiet, nervous, but unlike all the other people at school she didn't shy away. She treated me like just another person. Didn't care that I was blind, didn't care that half the punks in Mitakihara wanted a go at me. She was just her silly, nervous, but quick-witted self."
Her head nods, and she can't help but look proud.
"I was lonely. So I latched onto her. Turns out, she was terrible at them, but she loved sports like kickboxing and MMA. So when I made the team, she started to root me on. I think she was lonely too, and just went with it."
A sigh.
"And then that monster cornered me and Ao-chan at the mall."
- Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa listens softly to Hannah. She doesn't seem to be bothered by her placing her feet on the table because when you deal with people who trap people in mirrors to turn thier happiness into a big monster 'putting your feet' up on a table is not the world's most monstorus act.
She listens intently as she reaches over and pulls her food and drink over to her new side of the table and steals a french fry and a sip before her food gets too cold.
She listens. "Heh..." she blushes. "I dunno if I could even had latched onto someone like that. Ao's a lot braver than I was. Just walking out of my dorm room everyday was a challenge." she smiles a little. She frowns heavily though and looks down.
"...I'm very sorry. If.. I was a Pretty Cure then. I'd done---something." she says. "It bothers me a lot that Ao's so sick because of things like that--I--...um... I may have asked Blue-sama if it was possible for him to heal Ao-chan. He said that injuries like that are hard." she looks down. "I was scared he'd might try to give Ao-chan the Pretty Cure pitch too. He does that. It's not a--- bum deal? It's just. I don't wanna force that on your frind Hannah-chan." she says. "I--um. I did decide something thou..." she says closing her eyes.
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
One eye closes.
"But you managed it eventually, right? Sure it took a lot. But we all grow at our own pace."
"Overcoming and facing life's challenges is a triumph in and of itself."
Hannah goes silent, smiling, and once more she has to hold in tears. How much different would her life have been if the PreCure had been there? Maybe she would have been saved. And yet, she might have still remained as weak as she was back then.
Such thoughts send chills down her spine.
"I appreciate it, Haruna. But there's not much left to be done, I don't think. An ally of mine tracked down the source of her constant sickness. My old boss hired the monster that attacked us to keep Ao sick so he could keep me under his heel. We tracked the thing down and killed it. Then...well, this strange doll attacked her. It put her in the hospital again, but between the two, all of the magical sickness was gone."
A shake of her head.
"She has been suffering for a long time, Haruna. It's a miracle she's alive. And it wasn't just dampening her magical potential, it hurt her physically. I won't say no if he really wants to try. It's Ao's decision. Just...don't get your hopes up. We're lucky she's able to move as well as she is." Her voice cracks. There's a note of utter despair and frustration in her voice.
In her head, she can't help but punish herself for failing Ao so utterly.
"No. Don't blame yourself. I was the one with her. I..." Tch.
"I should have done something. Shouldn't have crumpled so easily. Maybe...maybe if I had died..." Then maybe she would have lived without such sickness. All of the self-hatred she's felt for herself is plain on her face.
Then she leans her head back to the ceiling.
"You know, I used to blame the magical girls that showed up. I barely remember them. I used them as a scape goat, for not being able to save her myself."
She holds her hands apart.
"And that is the problem. It wasn't really their fault. They were weak, but I was even weaker. The world just didn't give us the power to stop things. If I had realized the truth, that by seeking out all of the strength that can be found and created in this world, then maybe things wouldn't have ended that way."
She finally, after a good five minutes, manages a smile and a chuckle. "Oh don't worry, if he tried that, I'd hunt him down and break that cute nose of his!" She sounds /way/ too eager right then.
But Hannah feels exhausted after pouring out her soul, and she simply slumps back.
"What's that, Haruna?"
- Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa looks down. "Hannah-chan...." she stays quiet.
"I was going to be vauge--but. I..I trust you to keep this. Between you and me.. okay?" she mutters. "You and me." she says.
"Th--the PreCards I collect..." she says softly. "I use them to disguise myself and- well. Make myself look pretty." she says with a blush. "But--that's not thier real purpose." she says. "They let me do things, yes but---" she says. "I have what's called a PreCard Decor." she says. "If I can collect enough cards to fill it. I-- um...."
"I get a wish." she says softly.
"It isn't a wish like...Puella's get. I already put myself in danger to collect that many cards. It's a pure wish, born of the PreCards..." she says.
"It's so hard to collect them. But. If I can fill my decor I---I want to wish Ao-chan back to health. Or something that can..." she says softly. "And if you find a way to get Ao-chan well before then- then... um..."
"Maybe I can wish for you..." She says softly.
"I don't have anything I want to wish for. Not personally. I already have my sister back. Major events are out of it's purview. Like. I can't just wish The Phantom Empire away. Or wish for world peace or anything like that..." she giggles.
"Besides...wishes like that. They just make more misfortune.." she mutters.
"I--um. I just wanted you to know that I care like that too." she says.
"......also you know. This wish is real and not being promised to me by a silly talking shadow bird." she insists.
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
"Lips shut, sealed, and laminated Haruna!" She's trying to be warm and reassuring. Hannah mostly sounds tired by now.
A wish. Hannah's eyes narrow with the suspicion of someone who's delved head first into Puella Politics. It's a look of both wolf-like hunger, and yet the look of someone who's almost entirely certain there's a poisonous snake about to bite them. Her body is certainly tense enough for that.
Hannah sighs.
"You /do/ realize I don't believe in wishes? Well. Something like that isn't really my 'okay' to give. If Ao-chan wants it, then I'm not someone in a position to stop it." Her eyes close.
"I'll admit it's better than 'Sell yourself to some white rat for power', but I don't like it. When it comes to me, don't bother. Save it for your sister, or other PreCure, or someone you really, really care about." Pause.
Both hands wave. "I...I mean other than me. I don't mean it that way. Just..."
She goes limp a bit.
"Point being! Wishes, earned or not, are the easy way out. I don't want easy. I want hard. Every danger and power put in front of me. I want to struggle for every bit of strength I can gather. Because only hard work and perserverance breeds real power. Only by taking another step every day can you become a real power in this world, enough to challenge magical warriors, or even people like Blue."
She laughs.
"No. No silly birds. Just be careful. Even with the best of intentions, wishes can end with people getting hurt."
- Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa looks down. "S..sorry. But...it's the one wish us PreCure gets if we can fill the Decor." she mumbles. "..and I'm sacraficing all my PreCards too. The ones I collected anyways. The Gull Precards are special." she says. "I lose those, I lose my powers."
She grins and leans forward. "I understand Hannah-chan. I'm not going to make any wishes like that unless I talk to you and her about it in person if I ever fill my Decor." she wraps her arms around Hannah and hugs tightly.
"I just. It's the one of two major things I work towards as a PreCure. And I wouldn't even know what to wish for." she mumbles.
"-but that's probably still a long ways away." she says.
She leans forward and gives Hannah a soft kiss on the cheek. It's innocent. She's also blushing like crazy after the attempt. She ahems.
"This was a really fun night Hannah... I never sung before. It was really fun..." she says with a smile.
"Next time...." she says hopefully. "Can we go someplace nice? I've never...been to a place I've had to dress up for. It'd be fun... right?" she asks softly.
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Hannah hugs right back, almost desperately.
"I'm glad to hear that. You...you're a truly good person, Haruna. You shouldn't sacrifice your power without really good reason. Just keep that in mind. If you have one wish like that, even if I don't like that kind of thing...make sure it's for something world shattering. Even if you can't make a major event, use it for something small. Ripples turn to waves, right? That's the kind of thing you should use that opportunity for."
Then, she shrugs.
"Or not. That's just my opinion on the matter. Do what you think is right."
And then she's getting kissed, so softly, so innocently.
By God does it make her blush like a crazy woman.
Her voice cracks, she grows stiff, and then she relaxes. Hannah reaches out and nosepokes Haruna!
"Y...you sly little!"
Cue laughter, and one heck of a hug!
"Yeah. It was. Thanks Haruna. Let's have a few more, okay?"
Grin.
"Oh don't worry. I know a sushi place that's both too expensive and too wonderful for the price, if that makes sense! I'll use my, ah...connections to get us in! How's that sound?"
She'll pay for their meals and time, and then, she'll tug Haruna towards home!
For some reason, Hannah is whistling happily all the way.
