Cast of Characters: Ikiko Hisakata, Daisuke Hansuke

Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Daisuke Hansuke has today's day in the Animal Care Club, which means...cleaning. And---ugh boy does it need it. They had three dogs in here and they got into a fight and it's just a mess and even some desks are overturned and a supply cabinet knock over and he needs to rearrange everything.

He's started on the supply cabinet first, sighing as he shoved it upwards. He then began placing everything back, before checking it for damage and to make sure it was on the inventory sheet that also got ripped in half and is now being held together by a few long strips of scotch tape.

Yeah he looks a little frustrated- but not upset or sad or angry about it. It's just busywork he hates doing.

"Well..." he mumbles. "Kits are all there..." he begins to count bottles of various medicines.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
While there is no official club collaboration between the various schools in Tokyo, occasionally people try to get in touch to see how the others are doing. For sports clubs, it tends to take the form of observation and challenges; for others, it's a way of comparing notes... but challenges aren't unheard of among them, either!

But today Ikiko is here at Verone for another reason. Well, two, actually. The primary one is to make an offer of mutual support from Seishou's Animal Care club to their Verone counterparts, as a sign of respect. The other, much more unofficial reason, is to possibly chat with any dogs they might have, to see if they've notices Daisuke doing anything notable.

With a couple of questions asked, she makes her way to the club room. She knocks on the doorframe, her nose wrinkling at the faint whiff of chemicals. "Hi!" she smiles, surveying the mess. "Need a hand with cleanup?"

Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
There are three dogs in the six cages in the room. They're all sleeping or awake and growly and grumpy because they got in a fight. Ikiko can hear the murmuring dog fighty stuff. They all have collars. Thier owners are coming by later to pick them up. No strays here.

Daisuke is clearly wearing latex gloves and picking up each bottle. The chemical smell becomes evident though. "Bottle's broken..." he sighs and places it into a small bin as he kneels down. "Might have to re-order the whole batch...not good..." he mutters.

"Maybe I can...."

He pauses. Oh, he didn't finish that sentence good.

He peeks. "Oh. Hello There....! Um. Hisakata-san was it?" he asks. Yeah, he's frustrated so you get 'formal'.

"If you feel safe doing so, sure. Grab a pair of latex gloves here and just pick up any bottles... broken ones go in the trash. Watch out for edges.." he mutters.

"So what brings you over here today? Something wrong?" he asks.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata nods, putting on a pair of gloves and gently picking up bottles. "Nothing's wrong; I'm actually here on behalf of Seishou's Animal Care club," she explains, frowning at a cracked bottle. Better safe than sorry; it goes in the trash without a comment.

"I have a formal letter to deliver to your club, but it's basically an offer for our clubs to communicate and cooperate with each other more often," she continues. An intact bottle; this one goes on a nearby counter. "That way, if either club is faced with something they can't handle on their own, they can count on each other for support."

Ikiko glances over towards the dogs. She's not close enough to speak quietly to them, but that doesn't mean she can't listen in on what they have to say. "Why do the dogs seem to be on edge, Hansuke-san?" she inquires, slowing making her way towards the cages as she continues to pick up bottles and such.

Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Daisuke Hansuke finds an intact one, it gets put aside. Another broken one. One that looks okay but the inside looks contaminated now he just ughs and throws it aside. "What a waste..." he mutters to himself as he sighs a bit.

He huhs. "Oh.. we had. A busy day. The dogs got into a fight and messed the room up and this is why there's a mess..." he says. "Put the letter on the desk, I'll open it up and read it and see what the other members think, not just up to me." he says with a lighter tone. "But I'd be up for it." he says softly.

The dogs def. see upset one another. They seem to be having an argument about who has the best furcoat. Sheltered, owned dogs can be concited sometimes okay!?

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata takes off the latex gloves (time to handle non-contaminated stuff, after all!) and disposes of them, then carefully makes her way over to the desk, placing the letter on top of it. Official business complete!

Now for her unofficial business...

She walks over to the cages, crouching where she can see all three dogs. Glancing towards Daisuke, she thinks for a moment, then starts to talk to the dogs... in caninespeech.

"Why do you three fight over your coats?" she barks softly. "The three of you have terrific coats that would be the pride of any pack; why not think of yourselves as a pack-of-convenience, and be proud of each other's coats?" An appeal to their vanity, and a suggestion that they think of each other as colleagues instead of rivals -- perhaps this will help smooth things over?

Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Daisuke Hansuke sighs and looks down at the paper, when all is said and done, half the medicine needs replaced and that's Club budget out the window. Of course, it's a rich school's club so that's probably some obscene four digit number but still.

He stands back up and starts placing dry bandage and gaugze boxes into the storage cabinet..

"...short one...where did it go..." he mutters getting down on his hands on knees.

The dogs all fight some more. Ikiko talks. They find this surprising because human talk usually sounds like gibberish and tones.

They still argue a lot. <Mine's black it's prettier!> <Mine's brown! That's better than black!> <WELL I'M SPOTTED!> and there's bickering for a bit until Ikiko coaxes them down a bit. EVENTUALLY she gets them to quiet down and just agree to disagree. Still agitated thou.

Daisuke pops up from behind the front desk. "There we go..." he says placing the box away." he sighs and then walks to the cleaning cabinet and gets a mop and begins moping up spilled medicine. This is giving Ikiko plenty of time to talk to the dogs for at least a few more moments if she wishes.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Well, civility is a start, anyway. Ikiko glances towards Daisuke again. "Has that human ever healed any of you by using a stick and floating purple lights?" she asks, recalling the description the puppy from a month ago gave. "Or any other odd things he's done that you haven't seen other humans do?"

This line of questioning might be a long shot for finding anything out, but it wouldn't hurt to ask anyway. Animals observe more than most people realize; it's just that most people can't ask them about what they saw.

Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Strays are so much nicer. These dogs are pampered to death! Regardless, they talk. <Yeah.> <He did that!> <It felt funny!> <...and then my paw felt better!> <..and my ears stopped hurtin...> <..and my tummy felt better!>

<But that was after he put up in these cages! He's mean!> <Yeah! I hate this cagey metal thing.> <He makes sounds to himself a lot.>

Sigggggh dogs.

Well that makes sense. if Daisuke did have powers... he probably saw it more prudent to do the healy thing--- THEN clean up. Rather than belay it. Also. They were grouchy. Would you want to touch a grouchy dog!?

Daisuke has finished moping and is now moving desks.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Well. That was productive, even moreso than expected! "Thank you!" Ikiko smiles at the three, then stands up. So Daisuke's a healer, huh? That's helpful to know, especially in case of an emergency.

"Would you like some help with the desks?" she offers to Daisuke. "Or any other assistance?" With both of her tasks done, there's not much left but to lend a hand while she's here.

Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Daisuke Hansuke is adjusting desks when he actually looks up for a change and----

...is Ikiko growling n' stuff at a dog? And is it growling back? That's... what? So when Ikiko looks around. He blinks. Oh crap. Did he see something!?

"Uh. Sure. I could use the help." he says a little as he sighs a bit, moving desks.

If he saw something he doesn't seem to want to say anything about it?

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata nods and goes to help out. Daisuke's silence on the topic of her canine conversation either means that he didn't actually see anything, or that he's trying to not think about it (or other similar things, like tiny floating catboys).

Or maybe it's that he's just unaware that there's more to her than simply being able to chat with dogs.

"Usual grid pattern?" she asks, glancing towards the desks that have already been put back in place. Enough for magical topics for now; mundane ones might help alleviate any suspicion.

Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Daisuke Hansuke kind of just deals with the fact tiny floating catboys are a thing now. Maybe girls talking to dogs isn't as weird. Maybe there's some reason a catboy hangs around with a girl who speaks dog? Was she just play talking? Wait...

What if the dogs said something!? About the thing! He's not worried, he doesn't mistreat animals. But..uggggggghhhhhhh. The Senshi told him to be careful and he wasn't careful and uggggghhhhh. He doesn't need more chiding from people that won't tell him a damn thing anyways. So you know what, he doesn't care. This is not Ikiko's fault he's frustrated.

"So what did the dogs say." it's terse.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata freezes for a moment, then shrugs and keeps helping with the desks. "Arguing over which one has the best coat," she replies matter-of-factly. "Mentioning that you healed them with magic."

She gives him an apologetic look. "It's why we can both see Yoru," she explains. "You have healing magic; I have... canine magic. And from the sounds of things, we both use our magic to help make things a better place."

Hopefully he doesn't ask for more proof; she's still low on energy from being drained the other day, and henshining reliably requires a bit more magic than she currently has available.

Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Daisuke Hansuke hehs. "Ikuto the guy with the floaty cat, yes." he says as he pushes the desks back then sits on one as he sighs. "Sorry if I'm frustrated! Just I have these... friends who...tell me not to talk about my ID and give me all these rules and get upset at me and one's still kinda frustrated at me I guess because I'm not really good at this magical life stuff." he says. "..but they don't want to tell me things either." he grumbles.

He sighs and crosses his arms. "Yeah I heal. and teleport. That's about it. Don't fight very good at all. So. I do what I can." he shrugs.

He sighs. "Well...seems cleaned up now." he mutters.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata listens and nods. "Keeping some secrets about being magical is a good practice," she agrees. "Your identity is something that should only be shared with people you firmly trust. Knowing that someone is magical... well, it's still good practice to be quiet about it, but it's not as significant as knowing who they are as a magical person."

She gives a small shrug. "Other than speaking with canines, I'm relatively good at fighting, and even then I have my limitations. Still do what I can, when I can, and support my friends whenever possible."

Looking around at the tidied room, Ikiko smiles a bit. "Well, I should be going," she remarks. "Thanks ahead of time for letting the rest of the club hear about Seishou's offer! Take care, and may things smooth out between you and your friends." She also woofs out a friendly goodbye to the three dogs, then heads for the door.

Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Daisuke Hansuke sighs and just gives a wave. "Yeah, bye." he says glumly.

Well that's just great. He sort of leans back and sighs. Now he'd have to tell Sailor Venus and it'd be awkward and he'd be chided because he promised not to keep secrets and he's done a good job of that and----ugh.

He just sort of places his hands over his face. Will this ever end?
