Date of Scene: | 04 December 2015 |
Location: | Mitakihara - Downtown |
Synopsis: | Ayana goes to Hannah's apartment to aggressively demand scritches. She gets those, and more, as Hannah learns the abbreviated story of Ayana's past few weeks, and encourages the foxgirl to keep on her present path. |
Cast of Characters: | Hannah Sharpe, Ayana |
- Ayana has posed:
It's evening, and Takashi is busy in his research. While normally this wouldn't bother Ayana--affter all, she's a relatively independent creature, most of the time--tonight she has a distinct and unassailable desire for affection, and he isn't providing. Convincing Takashi to give up his research in favor of her needs is potentially doable, but it also runs the risk of ticking him off, and Ayana is far too lazy for that amount of effort when an easier option is available.
This is why Hannah receives a knock at her door--rather firm and resolute. Beyond the doorway, the fox-girl stands with ears and tails fully visible, dressed in an outfit barely appropriate for winter: a sheath dress over bike shorts, tall wooly stockings, and a pair of Mary Jane flats. She knocks a second time for good measure, well before poor Hannah has had enough time to answer the door. Impatient, much?
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Another day, another study session, and a relaxing bath after! Just after drying off and throwing on some hawk-patterned pajamas, there's a knock at the door! Boris is at the vet today, so no doggie to come and get the door for her!
"I'M COMING, I'M COMING!" Calls out a muffled voice as she slogs through her apartment to get to the door. The door is then yanked in!
There's a drippy-haired, mildly annoyed Hannah frowning in front of a certain fox! "Who is it, and where's the fire at!? Yeesh!" It's not like Hannah herself has ever been particularly patient!
- Ayana has posed:
Ayana recoils just a little at the sight of the drippy hair. Wet? Wet is bad. But on the other hand, those pajamas look cuddly. She narrows her eyes and stays silent for just a little too much time to be polite. Poor Hannah might wonder whether there's anyone there at all, except surely she can smell the faint musk of 'fox', and even when she's being still Ayana isn't exactly known for being still, so there's a little rustling of cloth.
Finally, eventually, Ayana decides to barge in through the door uninvited. "It's me," she says as she wraps her arms around Hannah. Pressing her face into Hannah's chest, Ayana breathes in deeply, as if smelling Hannah's scent. "Pet me," she instructs the older girl.
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Oh yes, the combination of fox-smell, and the silence has Hannah reaching for the door. Either someone's playing a joke on her, or she's hearing things! But then there's a barging Ayana and suddenly arms are around her and there's a face to her chest!
A deep sigh, and she finally laughs.
"What the heck!? Ayana-chan?" There's surprise at such outward demands from the fox, but certainly not enough to note anything wrong. Maybe the girl's just desperate for some cuddles? Kicking the door closed, she'll try to half haul the other girl into a carry and end up towards the couch! Thunk, hug!
"Here!" Pets are something she's happy to give, giving Ayana a good scalp-massage if she doesn't shift to fox-form.
"So what's brought all of this on? Is Ta-kun not giving you enough pets?" It seems she's chosen some sort of delicious fruity scent today! Oranges!
- Ayana has posed:
Ayana readily assists Hannah in wrangling towards the couch, then collapses with her head on Hannah's lap. While the petting commences, she toes her shoes off haphazardly, then curls up even tighter ... but she doesn't shift into her foxform. Either she wants to talk, or she's too lazy to revert.
"You smell tasty," Ayana observes, rather than explaining her mood. "I could eat you," she notes, and it's not entirely clear whether she's being playful, or coming to a conclusion. Thankfully, the kitsune does not immediately test this theory!
"Taka-kun is busy in his lab doing research on something 'important'," by her tone, it's not entirely clear that Ayana agrees that whatever project Takashi is working on is important enough. "I probably could have got him to pet me, but it would have been a fight to keep his attention. You, on the other hand, are a much better slave to my desires. So jumping over here was far less effort."
Ayana emits a soft sigh of pleasure at the attention being paid to her ears and hair. "Mmmnnhhrrrrr, I'm going to stay here tonight," she informs Hannah forwardly. "Taka-kun probably won't get home until far too late, and it's getting cold at night. You can keep me warm, and I can keep you warm, and this will make us both sleep better." Right?
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Thank goodness Hannah doesn't get hung up about shoes! Being American is good like that sometimes.
Especially given she just got out of the shower, Hannah's nice and warm and fluffy thanks to those pajamas, with just enough solid beneath it to be comfy! The magical girl sticks her tongue out at Ayana playfully. Clearly she doesn't actually think Ayana would try it!
"You'd be surprised how often I get that~."
Then she just chuckles.
"Yeah, that's him alright. You gotta praise his focus, even if he overdoes it sometimes. Slave? Oh please! I just like cuddles." Nod nod! No foxes using Hannah of all people! Nope!
Fox-logic is solid, but Hannah's a southern. She wouldn't turn her away, but the girl /does/ try to tweak her nose for being so forward!
"And what do you say when you're asking to stay over a friend's house, hmmmm?" Leads Hannah, just before the scritches return.
- Ayana has posed:
Ayana wrinkles her nose in surprise when Hannah tweaks it, recoiling just a little in irritation. She glares up at Hannah, bares fangs, but of course Hannah can't quite see that. Ayana lets out a huff, then puts her head back down in Hannah's lap. "I wasn't asking," she notes grumpily, "but I will say thank you if you let me." Such a rude little fox! Then she huffs again, "Can I stay here, tonight? Pretty pleeaaaaaasssseeeeeee."
Because let's be honest, seven words are a lot less effort than a fight, if Hannah's going to push the point.
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Even if she /could/ see it all, she probably wouldn't back down! It's Hannah, after all.
Smile! Smiiiile!
"It's a start, so it'll do for now! I am going to have to teach you some manners, though, some time! You'll get far with them. Especially if you then punch someone when they least expect it!" Hannah's not being a good influence!
Then she's drawn back into cuddles! Rub rub! Hannah is pretty good at massages and ear-rubs, as it turns out. "Still, I like that you're finally getting some backbone. Ta-kun train some spine into you? I'm glad, you'll need it if you're going to work with us. We get enemies."
- Ayana has posed:
"Mmmmhhhh," Ayana replies, as if the effort of thinking about 'backbone' were too much for her. Especially since she's getting her ears rubbed again. The foxgirl closes her eyes and leans into the petting.
"It's less that he's training me," Ayana admits with a soft sigh, "and more that he finally fixed what was broken. I found out we're villains, but I'd already developed these stupid feelings for Ikiko and Reiko and it was causing issues." She snarls a little, then says, "When we went to the hospital to see Takashi, I couldn't sense him. The bond wasn't working. He couldn't feel me, either. Apparently they had tried to overwrite my bond with him by giving me a bond with themselves, instead. It made me hesitate in doing what Takashi needed me to do. Super not okay. But I'm better now," she says with a grin.
"And I got back at them!" Ayana tells Hannah excitedly.
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
One part of Hannah is filled with growing anger at the thought that people would /dare/ steal the bond between a mage and a Familiar. Ayana would definitely feel her tense up, magic within her soul calling out for blood with each renewed mention of the two girl's names. Not that she knows who they are! Probably for the best.
And the other part of her is filled with growing horror as she realizes the implications. The two girls severed the bond, stole it, and Takashi has been tampering with his own Familiar. Hannah herself isn't above experimenting on her fellow magical girl, but a /Familiar/? She's simply been too close to her own to even consider it, and the bond she and Boris share is all but sacrosanct.
Ayana is greeted with silence, Hannah visibly warring with her emotions and a desire to find three magical people in particular and give them all beatings.
Deep breaths. In, out. She slowly calms after both a very sedated Boris and her Device practically shove calming waves of wind magic through their link.
She finally catches onto something.
"So you want to be a 'villain' now, is it? Well, I can't say that's the wrong path. Still wanting to work to make Ta-kun happy? I'll support you."
She pauses, and her voice grows serious. "Just remember the limits I told you about in the hospital. How did he do it? 'Fix' you, that is?"
- Ayana has posed:
"No eating Ao-chan," Ayana says with a roll of her eyes. "Yeah, yeah, whatever. Anyways, I have always been the villain, I just didn't know it." She shrugs, then lifts herself up, crawls forward, and lays back down more fully atop Hannah. Pinned by foxgirl!
"Anyways," Ayana says as she nuzzles her ears forcibly into Hannah's hand, "he fixed me by shoving dark energy back into me. He used Still Night to channel it safely, but it broke the magical girls' bond and made it possible for me to feel him again. And it gave me enough energy to actually be useful for him, again!"
The kitsune smiles fondly at the memory, then says, "And he reminded me that I should take what I want, instead of always fussing over whether it's right or wrong. After all, if it's wrong, someone will stop me!"
Ayana grins and explains, "So I finally went to the koifish pond at Penguin Park the other night and waded in, and of course Reiko showed up and got super mad at me for trying to catch a fish again. But I did catch one, and I ate it right in front of her. I swear, I have never seen a Prism Keeper's skin turn colours before, but hers went red, and then grey, and then orange, and then green. It was hilarious.
"So I just kept eating it," Ayana continues, "and teasing her as I got out and put my socks back on? And then she was like 'grr, I'ma zap you with my wand' but I knew she wouldn't. I even told her, last week, that she'd eventually have to fight me. She was like 'I'll stop you if you're being a meanie!' and then I was mean and she didn't stop me. Guess she's all talk, cause she just ran away like a chicken instead of fighting me."
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
"Good fox!" Comes Hannah, pinned down! Oh no, caught beneath evil foxgirls!
Rub rub rub! "Alright, alright, I get it! Pet pet pet!" She chides Ayana, scritching those ears and head with both hands!
The actual method, however, calms her immediate need to go and punch Takashi in the face. It's still Increadibly Screwed Up. But given the conflict Ayana has been going through, it's almost a mercy, particularly after what was done to her by the other magical girls!
Hannah is likely giving Takashi too much credit in the altruism department, here.
"Well I'm glad you've found your way, then. Evil, good? They don't mean anything. The only thing that matters is how strong you are and how powerful your ambitions are."
Then she's smiling, far less conflicted. "I'm glad you have your bond back. Sounds like you really got back at that coward Familiar-stealing wench! You ever need any help against her or her little friend, let me know. I won't tolerate anyone who /dares/ mess with the bond between Familiar and mage!" Her fist clenches for a moment.
An eye closes. "What about this 'Ikiko'? Is she a coward too?"
- Ayana has posed:
"Ikiko's the one who forged the bond," Ayana says with a scowl. "I loved her," she notes to Hannah. "I don't think she's a coward, though. I'm pretty sure if I see her, I'm going to have to fight her hard and fast, because she's going to try and 'fix' me, as if being this way is somehow wrong."
Ayana sniffs indignantly, then twists a little so she can stare up at Hannah curiously while she explains. "Because of her, I failed Takashi. And worse, because of her, he wound up so upset with me that I actually thought it would be better if he just unmade me. I thought I was nothing more than a burden to him, and he seemed to think so, too, for a little bit. But then he figured out how to fix everything," Ayana says with a soft sigh.
"Hey, Hannah?" she asks as she looks at the other girl.
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
"The only person who can decide whether 'being this way' is wrong, is you, Ayana." Offers Hannah to the fox-girl! There's a hint of further wrath being saved for the Cute Woof. After such a betrayal, who /wouldn't/ fall out of love?
"Fight her with everything you have. Use that pain she's caused you."
But then Ayana's words fall to Takashi once more, and how he abused her so. That horror and trembling rage rises again, Hannah a mess of emotions tonight. Her breathing quickens. She can't help but cling a bit to Ayana.
That's too far. Way too far. Even for Takashi. Gritting her teeth, she manages to shove that ball of anger into the back of her mind. She'll settle things with him. Soon.
There's a trembling, emotionally dazed Hannah staring blindly back.
"What is it, Fox-chan?" It's added with a scritch. No, no matter if Takashi is truly at fault, she can't be mad at the fox-familiar.
- Ayana has posed:
"Are you blind?" Ayana asks, curiously and for the first time in their relationship. "Your eyes look funny, and you are really touchie. More touchy than most people are. Well, not more touchy than Ikiko, but more touchy than Takashi definitely."
Apparently she didn't know. How did she miss it?
"It's okay if you are," Ayana notes. "But also it makes me wonder what kinda pranks I can pull on you. Hee hee." Pause. "Although I guess I shouldn't prank the girl that's giving me the best scritches ever."
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Cue the knockout blow from left field! All of Hannah's confused emotions boil down into pure confusion. She just kinda gawks at Ayana for a moment.
"Am I...?" Pause. Really. /Really!?/.
"Erm...yup. You...just noticed?" Then, she smiles a little wider.
"Well, I guess that's a compliment! Having a Familiar and a Device helps with that sort of thing, so it's not impossible to miss it. Bats have more eyesight than I do, Foxy. And yeah, I love touching. Mine's better than most people's, and, well, having people close to me physically lets me feel like they're..." She hunts for a word, trailing off.
"That they're in my world. Not just fragments of my hearing. I know that might seem a little strange." A self-conscious laugh.
Then she grins. "As long as it's nothing that's dangerous, go for it! I don't mind a joke or two at my expense." Cue a loooooong scritch, and a back rub too!
- Ayana has posed:
Ayana blinks in confusion at Hannah, but then there is backscritching and ear scritching and she just winds up melting atop the other girl. If Hannah likes tactile, she's going to get a whole lot of it right now as Ayana takes up pretty much all of the girl's personal space. Cuddles are good, right?
"I didn't know," Ayana eventually mumbles. "I guess that explains why Boris gets to go places that dogs aren't usually allowed." She grins a little, then reaches up to gently touch Hanna's nose with a finger. "Hee hee hee, man, that means I could steal your clothes and you'd never know. Or like, hide your shoes from you by moving them a few inches to the left. Oh, but I guess that won't work when Boris is here. He'd just tell you. Lame."
- Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Thankfully the concept of personal space is a foreign and detested concept to one Hannah Sharpe. Cuddles are accepted and encouraged! She's a lot like Boris in that way.
A few nods, though! "Yup! Having a service dog, nevermind a service /Familiar/ is the best! You get to take your friend with you everywhere /and/ have a case to sue if they deny you!" Evil, evil corporate hanners!
Wah! Hannah wiggles at the nose-touch! Seems someone is ticklish!
"I'm good at finding things, you know? Just don't move the pepper shakers! Boris did that to me once, took me a week to have pepper again!" Oh god, she's giving the fox /ideas/!
"Maybe, then, you should have pranked me today while he's at the vet!"
Poor Hannah, she's doomed!
The magical girl sighs pleasantly, letting go of all of her troubles, and just snuggling the night away with fox-chan! Warmth and an oddly agressive fox, things are good. Ayana might even get a late-night meal if she's good enough!
