Cast of Characters: Ayana, Fate T. Waldia

Ayana has posed:
It's a school day, but neither Fate nor Ayana attend. While most of Eclipse are off to educate themselves, Ayana is left to sit around bored. So when she comes across Fate looking similarly bored, a rather wicked idea crosses her mind!

An hour later, and the pair walk into Game Center Crown, Ayana in a her fuzzy white jacket and boots, waving a handful of bills. "So here's the deal," Ayana says to Fate as they pass through the door. "The last jerk who tried to stop me from draining someone was like ... loaded. He had almost fifteen thousand yen on him!" Which is only a little over a hundred dollars, for our American audience.

"I'm gonna go order us two whole large pizzas," Ayana explains to the younger girl, "and then you can use the rest for video games." She grins and hands Fate a small amount of money, now. "Start with this, though. And I'll come join you after I put the order in. What do you want to drink?"
Fate T. Waldia has posed:
Fate follows Ayana-senpai to the local arcade. It's not what mother would have her do, but... Fate's magical reserves are exhausted. She's been pushing herself harder, using bursts of magic to test for the presence of Jewel Seeds. She still hasn't had much luck.

Fate needed to rest anyways, and so when Ayana offers something else to do, Fate is all to happy to go along with it.

Ayana explains where the money came from. Fate thinks that this is pretty normal for Eclipse. Sure she has a paycheck, but that doesn't stop anyone from paying with someone else's money. For the moment she chooses not to think about whether or not others would approve.

"Um... maybe a chocolate milkshake?"

Fate takes the money, says, "Thanks!" and starts looking around at the different video games present.

Something disturbs her. Some of these arcade machines have magical signatures...? No, they don't. Wait, yes they do... it's faint.

Fate purses her lips. Well, even if it's magic, that doesn't mean it's a Jewel Seed.

Fate sits herself in front of a Sailor V arcade machine and drops a few quarters in.
Ayana has posed:
Ayana orders two extra large pizzas from the snack bar upstairs, bothw ith the works on them. Hope Fate likes extra everything! She also orders two chocolate milkshakes and a big order of soda for herself.

Then she makes her way back down the stairs to the arcade. Poking her nose around, she is surprised to find Fate at the Sailor V game. Surprised and irritated. "Ugh, Sailor Scouts," she says, making her irritation known. "I hate Sailor Scouts. They're the evilest of the evil magical girls."

"You should play something more interesting than that," Ayana tells Fate. "Like that Dance game over there," she points at the DDR machine. "Or I think there's a Karayoke machine somewhere around here. Just anything but Sailor V."
Fate T. Waldia has posed:
"You met Sailor V?" Fate turns towards Ayana, tilting her head. "I don't think I have." That's only half true. She's met Minako, but she didn't know it was Minako. If she knew enough to make the connection, Fate might actually agree.

"Usually when I run across senshi, there's something more dangerous to fight. I didn't realize that they were evil." Fate plays for a few seconds longer, drawn in by the flashy brawler, but with her eyes occasionally wandering off the screen it doesn't take long for her to get a Game Over.

"Um... so you'd rather play that dancing game?" Fate looks over at it. The buttons are a bit far apart for her, but with her speed it might not be a problem.

Fate shies away from the Karaoke machine, but dancing is apparently fine.
Ayana has posed:
"N...no," Ayana replies, shaking her head. "No just Sailor Mars, but she's a jerk. I was just out minding my own business, very carefully draining energy from a girl where no one can see, and BAM she just smacks me with fire and talks about chastizing me!"

Ayana sneers a little as she wanders towards the dance machine. "I mean seriously, that girl wound up in the hospital because of her. Who tosses fire at normal kids!? A little energy drain would have put her down for a nice nap, but certainly nothing hospital worthy!"
Fate T. Waldia has posed:
"It was real fire? Wait, so she has a Mana Conversion Affinity for fire?" Fate is somewhat curious to hear about such a skill from what is, as far as she can tell, a native magical girl. Though, actually, it makes sense. Jupiter had something similar. "She should be more careful with powers like that..."

"People are so weird about energy loss. Like... if people have to go to bed a little early, is that really a problem? I still don't get why that was such a big deal to those pink-haired girl."

Fate approaches the dance machine, looking up at the flashing lights and high tempo electronic music. She slides a few quarters in, looking up to Ayana to see if she wants to play, too.
Ayana has posed:
Ayana leans on the back of the support bar and shakes her head. "You go ahead, kid," she says with a grin. "Anyways, yeah, I guess? I don't know; she didn't seem to be using a device, but I as too busy trying not to die to really pay close attention. She made the dumb mistake of trying to fight me hand to hand, but once she figured out how bad that was ..."

The kitsune wrinkles her nose. "I smelled like burning for like three days, after that. It sucked. It sucked a lot. Like seriously, who burns little kids?" Nevermind that the little kid in question is older than Ayana pretends to be.

"I just don't get magical girls," Ayana continues. "They're all like this. See something they don't like and just charge in all fightey first, ask later. That's why I told you to stop if one of them asks nicely," Ayana points out. "It'd be such a novelty for a magical girl to actually ask instead of just coming in to beat down immediately that I figured we should reward the effort."

Ayana stifles a yawn, then glances at the entrance, briefly. "So what've you been up to, lately, anyways? Do anything exciting since that stupid pool party?"
Fate T. Waldia has posed:
Fate goes ahead without Ayana. Not really having played a game like this before, Fate selects one of the easier options.

It's... actually too easy, as it turns out. She isn't really being challenged. It's a good song to start on, since she doesn't quite have the controls down yet, but she hopes that the harder songs are more her speed.

"Is that what that was?" Fate comments on the burnt fox smell. "I wasn't sure. I didn't want to ask..."

After a while she realizes that Bardiche can tell her what arrow to step on, so she stops looking at the screen. She looks up at Ayana as she hops from arrow to arrow and the two of them talk.

"That one girl didn't attack me. She was weird though. She doesn't seem like she even wants to fight."

Has Fate done anything since the Pool Party? She thinks about it. "Not really. I'm still not having luck. I have to wonder if the Jewel Seeds are even around here, at this point." Fate considers Ayana's word choice. "Wait, so you didn't like the pool party?"
Ayana has posed:
"Wet fur is not exactly fun," Ayana points out to Fate, and sticks out her tongue. "Besides, I was already grumpy and he forced it on us, and while I will always do everything Riventon asks me to, I don't always like it."

Ayana glances down at the pad, then up at Fate. "Is cheating like that actually fun? You look kinda bored. But I guess you'll get the high score, that way." She glances up at the screen, curiously. "Did you like the pool party? Your swim suit looked kinda ... boring. Like you don't like showing any of your skin at all, or something?"
Fate T. Waldia has posed:
"Oh, I guess it isn't." Fate considers. Arf didn't want to go either, but Fate was apparently enough to meet attendence expectations. "I guess that's just how he keeps track of us, I think."

Considering Fate's own homelife, Mandatory Pool Parties are a luxury. Especially if there is pizza and ice cream.

Fate glances back at the screen, and then back at Ayana. "I don't know. I think the challenge is more in keeping up, not really looking at the screen. I could use a bit more speed, though."

At the mention of her swimsuit, Fate looks embarassed. She even misses an arrow, after she had gotten perfect on all of them up until this point. The next arrow begins her next perfect streak.

"... well... I just... get hurt sometimes. My back has some scars on it. I didn't want to answer questions about them."

The song ends. Fate turns around to look at the machine. She looks at each song in turn, figuring out how to increase the difficulty level, reading the stats of each song. She frowns. "Alright, let's see how this works out."

The next song is rapid. The arrows are barely visible on the screen before it's too late to hit them, and there are ton of arrows. Yet, Fate seems to be keeping up.

"This is a bit better."
