- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Daisuke Hansuke has texted Kyra to meet at Midori-ya at the agreed upon time. This was a casual affair- by all accounts. He was sitting politely, waiting as he sipped upon what appeared to be a glass of ice water from a straw at a booth in the cafe as he waited politely.
When she arrived, he'd stand up, bow poltiely, and smile. "Kyra-san." he mutters. "Please have a seat. Thank you for accepting my invitation." he says.
When she eventually sits down- he has a seat again and sighs. "A server should be by soon." he says. He trails off awkwardly. How do you even start talking about something odd.
"Has your past few days been well?" he asks, he figures- that's a good start.
- Melanite has posed:
Kyra is quite pleased to have some time off from school, it gives her plenty of time to work on her new assignments from Queen Beryl - and to practice the Light Music Club's new songs. So taking a bit of time to have lunch with a fairly nice boy isn't a hardship, just a pleasant interruption to an otherwise busy life.
She returns Daisuke's bow, and his smile, her bright blue eyes twinkling merrily as she takes her seat. "Thank you, Daisuke-kun. It's a pleasure to meet you again."
She nods, taking a menu to peruse the selections. "Things have been fine," she demurrs, pondering the cafe's limited selection of non-pastry dishes - she wants a bit of protein with her lunch.
"Did you stay for the band, the other night? It was quite a show."
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Daisuke Hansuke orders a simple ham sandwhich. He's not hungry. This is an excuse to talk to someone that triggers that intense deja vu feeling. "I didn't. No. I---" he pauses. "I left after what I came to hear about. I've ordered her book- at least. I'm waiting for it to arrive still." he asides.
He looks down a little awkwardly. "So..." he asks. "I wanted to talk about something but-- I dunno how to bring it up. I think.. we brought it up in passing at the ice cream shop.." he mutters.
"How we both seem familiar kind of, but never met each ohter?" he asks tilting his head a moment as he sighs and takes another sip of his water.
"Have you figured anything out about that all for yourself?" he wonders a little to himself.
"...heh. Sorry. I know this is odd." he says.
- Melanite has posed:
Kyra hmmms softly and orders a grilled bacon and cheese, a slice of cake, and a soda. Dark magic is hungry work.
"Well, that's okay. You'll have to let me know if there's anything worthwhile in the book. I still think she's just some sort of movie shill with a cute publicity stunt."
Her soda, at least, is delivered quickly. "Mmm. I could swear I know you from somewhere," she agrees, "It's just... I can't quite think of where."
She settles back in her seat and takes a sip of soda. "About what, the whole 'know you from somewhere', or the Silver Crystal bunk?" She shrugs. "No more odd than trying to finger an F-chord for the first time." She struggled with that particular one for months.
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Daisuke Hansuke shakes his head. "I don't know about that. She was familiar too... somehow. Like that." he sighs and crosses his arms a little dourly as he waits for his sanwhich. He looks down. "The whole 'know you from somewhere' thing, really. The 'Crystal' stuff I dunno what to make of yet. I felt like It was a good idea to go there. I dunno why. It was like an itch."
"I just..."
"Nrg." he just shakes his head. "I dunno..."
"I feel like I'm stuck somewhere and lost." he admits.
Oh, food arrives. He begins to take a bite. Mmmmm.
"Someone I know calls this feeling--- 'the other self'..." he says. "..but it's still kind of worrying." he says.
- Melanite has posed:
Kyra leans back in her seat and considers it. "Sometimes I wonder," she muses. "What kind of person I must have been, in that time I can't remember. Except that I can't account for any missing time." She shrugs.
"So either a, we're remembering things that happened to someone else, which is pretty hinky, or b, someone's erased part of our memory so thoroughly we don't even notice anything missing. Which is even more hinky."
And then her sandwich arrives. Mmmmm. Food. Time to eat. "Sounds like as good a term for it as any," she says, after her first bite of gooey cheese and crispy bacon and perfectly grilled toast.
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Daisuke Hansuke shakes his head. "I remember everything I can from when I was little to now- and I can't remember anything... odd feeling until really recently. Feeling a little weird maybe a year back and then something happened and things got a little worse." he says.
He shakes his head. "I don't think these feelings come from this time or place really. From what I can figure out of my feelings. The only things I really have to piece things together are a few vivid mental pictures- feelings and colors- and a name and that's it." he says.
He sort of taps the table a bit with a finger as he takes a sip from his drink.
"But...you still sound as lost as me." he sighs.
- Melanite has posed:
"It does seem a little odd, doesn't it?" Kyra asks, calmly. "I get these flashes of places, sometimes. A pillared hall... a fountain... a girl in a white robe, playing a harp..." She shakes her head. "It's all so weird."
"So, yeah," she lies, "I guess I am just as lost as you." She isn't. She's found. But this isn't the time or place to share that.
She pauses for a moment, then hmms softly. "It was about a year ago for me, as well... I wonder if there's anything significant there?"
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Daisuke Hansuke nods a little as he sighs and crosses his arms. "I just feel. Confused. At first. I was scared. Because I thought I belonged somewhere else that--- frightended me. But. That sounded. Silly. Wrong. The more I thought on it. But..."
"The other things I remember. I don't... belong there either and---"
"...people keep me at an arm's reach from things..." he sighs looking down.
"I just don't know where I belong in the end now- and acting alone feels wrong too."
