Synopsis:	Breaking up an old car and hanging out with a cute guy can be just what the doctor ordered.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
The events which transpired earlier at the harbor a few hours ago are still very fresh in theh ead of Shinobu. It wasn't enough to carry the weight of a wish, the cost of said wish, and the idea of having her soul ripped out and shoved into a gem. Nope now she has the voice of her parents in her head telling her they'll disown her if she makes the choice for the wrong reasons. At this point she is just walking. Its pretty aimless but she is confident she can get back home.

Music blares flooding this area of King Penguin park. There is a small carnival set up with a few small rides, a little karaoke, and a couple interesting games. This is a winter fundraiser for a local children's hospital. One of the games that happens to be set up is a car smash! They took great care to cover the ground with a large tarp, making sure no debris would be left for anyone to get hurt. On top of the tarp is lightly busted up 80's model Toyota. One at a time people pay for 3 swings causing all sorts of smashing sounds.

Perhaps its the music, maybe it was the crashing sound of a car being beat on, Or maybe fate has a funny way of guiding people sometimes. No matter what it is, Shinobu is here and is definitely intrigued by all she is hearing. She happily moves around listening to people sing and the sounds of music over loudspeakers. Its actually all rather fun!"

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Well. Hinote thought. There are worse things you could be asked to do. Dad is out on a set somewhere in Africa where he's narrating a documentary as a celebrity narrator. He'll probably be spouting out facts about Lions and Zebras when he gets back and he'll never hear the end of it, but he DID promise to bring home a real pith helmet so there's that.

Oh, what was he asked to do? Well mainly, hand over one of those comically big checks for $500,000 dollars to the fundraiser from Dad's Chairty fund that he writes off every year. The check is a public gesture- the money's already been transfered to the fundraising account early this morning- a big check is... just a big check prop. You can't cash it! That'd be silly.

Hinote was in a fancy suit- not formal, but there were cameras and you gotta look your best. Hinote soaks up the limelight like a sponge- Kagaris do not shy away from attention like this.

When that's over, he's now meandering about and paying attention to people smashing a car.

He has a red bird perched on his shoulder, with long red tailfeathers and a short yellow beak. She registers as 'non-magical', because she isn't.

He takes a step backwards a bit to get a good view of what's going on with the car wrecking and places his hands out to either side of his vision---hrmmmmm....

He accidently bumsp into Shinobu and turns around quickly and thusly. "Ah...!? Woah! Hey, sorry!" he says apologetically. "I wasn't watching where I was going. You alright?" he asks.

He probably did not bump into Shinobu that hard- and for all he knows- avoided it outright. He still apologizes because he realize he came very close to it at least!

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
"EEP!" Shinobu stumbles but quickly recovers. "Its fine. I'm alright. No harm done." Given what she's been dealing with, being bumped into is about the least of her worries. She pulls her cane up under her arm and adjusts her clothing to make sure she looks presentable. "Are you alright, Mister?"

There is no cataclysm, No ones been hurt. So its just a matter of giving a polite bow, which she does, and moving on. Idly she walks towards the crashing sounds of the car being smashed. She can see the life energies of the people around the vehicle but not the vehicle itself. "Umm What is this?" She asks curiously.

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari hehs. "Just sizing things up." he says. His eyes trace down to the cane, he looks back up at Shinobu and strokes his chin a bit in idle thought. He says. "Well people are beating up a car for chairty." he says contently.

He hrms. "My name's Hinote Kagari. I'm here in stand-in for my dad at the moment. Smile, wave, look presentable, answer questions all that." he says.

He places his hands in his jacket pockets.

"So what brings you here today?" he asks. "Bored? Excitement? Happenstance?" he asks.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura smiles and faces the man. "Of the things you listed I'd only be able to ask questions. Unless you are like some of my friends, I wouldn't know if you were waving, let along smiling or looking presentable." She snickers a little bit. Shinobu Kimura. I'm new to Tokyo proper. I was living in the suburbs before I transfered to Infinity U. I'm on a Scholarship for public speaking. A pleasure to meet you Hinote-san."

Shinobu turns as she hears another crash against the car. "I think I need to get in on that. As for what brings me here? Fate? Frustration? Stress? All three played a factor today I think." She laughs a little and makes her way to the line. Thankfully its on the short side. It doesn't take too long before she is paying and being guided towards the car.

The guy running the thing looks at her, "Seriously? You're going to do this without seeing it? Its your money. I'll even give you an extra swing." He points her toward the car and just crosses his arms.

Shinobu quietly takes the sledge hammer and quietly sticks it out, touching the vehicle. Slowly she walks around the vehicle until she knows where the front end is. Moving to the driverside front corner, she pulls the hammer away. "HHHHHEEEEYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!!" Everything is put into that swing. All the frustration she has. Everything rough thats happened in the past few days. All she is or someday will be goes into that swing. *BOOM!* *BOOM!* The hammer tears through the metal body and the front bumper just drops. "Three more swings right?"

The following swings aren't as dramatic but she does a bit of damage to the hood and front fenders. Returning the hammer she returns to where Hinote-san is standing. "Deepest apologies."

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari hehs and shrugs a bit. "Eh, it's less for me than it is for the public and making sure I did my job right." he says as he brushes down his front a bit to make sure his outfit is all brushed straight. Shinobu can at least hear the action. He looks to Shinobu and blinks a bit.

Woah, those are some big swings. He steps another foot back.

The bird on his shoulder looks perplexed a bit, wondering why people are swining a big stone stick at a metal horseless carriage. She'll ask Hinote about this later. She knows the rules! No talking in public.

This isn't frustating, the phoenix is patient.

He huhs. "Those were some nice swings. Where'd you learn to swing like that?" he asks.

"Eh, I dunno if I'd swing at that. Knowing my luck, the hammer would bounce off and hit me in the face and I'd break my nose." he snort giggles a bit.

"Fate, Frustration and Stress, eh?" he asks. "That sounds like a winning combination." he says- dripping with sarcasm. "What happened, eh?" he asks.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu blushes bright. "Kobudo. I've been involved in it since I was 8. My mother insisted I not be a victim so I sorta learned. I still do it. Part of the kobudo club and everything. I guess i built up some strength from that?" She states as she gives a smile.

"No harm in doing it. Its for a good cause and those are always worth supporting." She gives a soft sigh and its really easy to see she's tired. A yawn comes out. "Oh excuse me."

Then there is the million dollar question. Its a long story with. One that has kept me from sleeping much these past few days. I really can't talk about much of it. I guess. I'll say this. What if you were offered your greatest dream and that dream was offset by an insanely high price that would take everything to pay?"

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari head tilts... "A victim? Precautionary, or...?" he asks. His voice gets a little more terse here. He shakes his head a bit and sighs a bit. "Maybe none of my bussiness." he says. He keeps his hands in his pockets, as he head tilts....

'What if you were offered your greatest dream...'

His hand sort of thumbs over to the gem of his guardian relic.

'...but there was a high price to pay...'

Hinote thinks about all the 'heroes' he checked into the ground to drain thier energy for a 'greater good'. How Runealy almost let demon magic kill her because she felt weak and saw no better way.

"Well..." Hinote says, he gathers his voice. It comes back easily enough. He's good at talking and at least acting like everything is okay. "...I would weigh options, and find out if what you want is worth the price." he says. "When I was offered... 'my dream'..." he says vaugely. "I took it, knowing that what I would be doing was terrible- but that it was for a greater good in the end. That it was going to be very likely that my time 'here', would be over." he says. "And.. given a chance to make the same decision all over again, I think I would still do it, knowing the outcomes." he says softly.

"So in the end. Such decisions, you need to make yourself. Are they worth it? or is it foolish? How do you benefit? How does it benefit others. Is benefiting others more important than benefiting yourself alone? Things like that." he says.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura shrugs, "That is what has me on edge. I've been weight my options. I'm glad I said I'd have an answer by the end of the week. Any longer, I'd go nuts!" SHe laughs a little.

Carefully she brings her cane out in front of her and she is already using it to make sure of her immediately surroundings. "I can't make a decision based on everyone else. There are people out there who have gotten their wishes and doing what has been presented to me. I've been told it would be better if I not do this."

Idly she runs her left food behind her right, giving a scratch to the back of her foot. "the question is, can I live with myself if I say no?"

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari listens to this and peeks over to his bird companion, who seems to shrug her wings a bit and looks back over to Shinobu. He looks around and hrmmmms. This sounds familar to him, the premise at least, and the word 'wishes' and he taps his chin.

"...ah." he says.

"...so. It's that kind of thing." he says vaugely.

"If we're both on the same wavelength here, You should know the guy 'offering wishes' tends not to have your best intrests at heart, the way I've heard it." he says with a shrug. "...but I don't know much beyond that." he says.

"All I know is, I'm to help those who have 'made wishes' because that's what's been requested of me by my friend. Though there's lots like me. Though. I would wonder why this 'person' needs 'wishes made' to have them handle a problem that many others exist to help with.... that aren't tied in to a 'power source'." he says.

His quoted words have heavy emphasis, suggesting he's talking around himself- to the real words in a public place- perhaps hoping Shinobu picks up on it.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu definitely gets the point. She nods. "I'm well aware. He's a bureaucrat. No emotions. No life. No Magic. He is the only being I can not see in some form. When you have nothing to you then you can't understand the gravity of anything right?" She asks, of course referencing the fuzzball.

"I've met several people who have made wishes. Some have told me to forget it, get away from this situation. Others encouraged me to do it. At the end of the day, its on my head what I am going to do. At least I know I have a few friends who will help me along."

Enough about that. Okay this is some sort of a party right? There is bound to be food. What type of stuff do they have?"

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari nods a bit, though she can't see it. He sighs. "Yes, there's a few many like that." he says softly. "I hear it's horrible and deadly, but none I've known have dissapeared or died yet. I dunno how long that'll last." he says as he taps his chin.

He peers. "What are you looking for?" he asks as he notices her peekign around. "Food? Bathroom?" he asks. "I think there's a stand up the way. Not a lot of vendors. Mostly the hot foods because of the weather." he says.

"Ice creams no good when the lakes are iced over." he grins.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura smiles softly, "Well there is always tea or cocoa in this weather. Those help. Or maybe some ramen. Anything hot would be good at the moment. I've been out here much of the day. Not here here but umm. Well I was at the harbor and sorta fell asleep on the dock."

"Oh and Ice cream is always good. Doesn't matter if the lakes are froze over or not. It just means ya gotta eat it some place warm!" She laughs. For a few moments everything is alright. "I think I know my answer." She states as she takes in the sight of life energy all around her.

"Well how about you, do you want something warm too? Lets both go. It'll take less time for me to get there if I can follow someone." She laughs almost playfully.

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari motions along as he moves slowly, he takes her hand if she offers- but otherwise leads without doing so, he talks as he moves. "Well. I can't tell you if it's right or wrong. Heck. Not even my place to judge." he laughs. "I made my own choices that had consequences of thier own, really. I'm lucky I'm not dead, honestly." he says.

He stops eventually in front of a stall that seems to be doing hot drinks and an instant style of ramen in a cup-- not traditional real ramen.

There is however, an actual ramen cart across the way that he looks too.

The two vendors seem to be giving each other the stinkeye.

He huhs. "Well. Hot Chocolate and Tea here, and.. Just add Water Ramen. and across the way is a real ramen cart.

He taps his chin some more.

"Huh..."

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura hmms and seems to be lost in thought. "I think the add water ramen would be good for today. That usually comes in a cup and that is easier to handle at the moment."

Then the comment registers. "Thank you. That is what I needed to hear. That helps in more ways then you know. No matter what I choose, the consequences are my own. I'll have to live with them. No one else will. That is why I have to think about myself first and foremost with this. Its kinda hard to do that ya know? I think of other people more than myself."

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari nods and waits his turn to slip up to the stand and orders himself an hot chocolate. He steps back and motions for Shinobu. "Your turn to order." he says as he takes his cup. He sips his hot chocolate. He nods. "In my case... well. I had the chance to fufill something in my life I thought would never ever be possible. In turn, I had to do some not nice things--- attack some protectors of this city and world, for energy. It was a mistake, of course-- but we had to save the world I call home now. Not this one. Not Earth." he asides.

"Now we're back here to set some mistakes right, do our best to help." he says.

He takes a deeper sip of his hot chocolate.

"So yeah I can get the wish fufilment portion I guess." he says gently.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura smiles a little. "The way I see it, No matter the decision I make I am going to regret it. I might as well get something out of the deal right. No matter how I look at this, That... thing entering my life has pretty much ended it."

"I guess there is only one thing I can really do. Live!" She smiles and pays the man for some instant ramen. That will work for now. Its really not that great but hey, at least its hot and portable.

"So I guess that simplifies the issue? Do I wanna kick the tar out of some witches or do I wanna watch other people do it? If I wanna get dirty, What do I even think about wishing for?" SHe laughs a little. "Thats it... Thats the key! I need to call one of my friends up."

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Probably it's salty. It's why Hinote didn't opt for it. He just lets the Hot Chocolate warm his hand for now as he shrugs. "That's one way of looking at it. What you wish for- it's your bussiness I figure." he says.

"Witches can be disturbing. I've fought enough of them to know what I'm dealing with though- at least on a base level. I don't know much more that they hurt a lot of people and kill them." he says grimly.

He eyes the vendor across the street.

Now he's giving Shinobu the stink eye for getting cheap cup ramen. He doesn't mention this because she can't see it anyways. He snorts a little at this to himself.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
"This is true. It is my call and my business. It doesn't make it easy. It just means I need to put a lot of thought into it." Shinobu does something potentially rude. She faces the lemon faced vendor and takes a long sip of her cheap ramen!

"I've been told that they are really nasty. That wherever they go they cause suicides, murders and gods knows what else. I can't think of a better reason to deal with em." She snickers a little bit.

"So you are into all of this too. Wow there are a lot of magical types around this part of town." She smiles softly and she pulls out her phone. For the moment she's not using her cane.

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari nods. "Yeah." he says. "Into it, if you can call it that." he chuckles.

"It's not just Witches though. There's things out there that aren't of benefit for you to fight- they don't... payout the things you'd need to live with the deal you're taking." he says.

"There's a lot of problems besides just yours."

"You'll need to decide if it's worth your power and effort to help. But theres other things that kill and prey on people." he says as he shakes his head.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura nods, "I'm aware. Just because I'm not anything special at this time doesn't mean I dunno whats going on. Not everything is as easy as white and black with me." If he could see through those dark glasses he would see her wink one of her white eyes.

The girl nods, "I'm aware of what I'd need. I've been informed by a few friends about the sort of stuff I'm going to need to deal with. I know what will happen if I don't get those things. I know the toll magic takes on the soul gem. Its the cost sadly. I would help out others though. The thing about witches, there are always more of them."

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari nods. "Well, as long as you know." he says.

He tosses his empty cup into a nearby trashcan and places his hands into his jacket pockets. "Some Demons from the other land chased us over here. So me and my friends have been dealing with those. They tricked my friend into an ambush. Luckily, she wasn't alone. They're crafty. They like tricks- and are able to pretend to be people they're not fairly well."

The bird on Hinote's shoulder is still there. It's been quiet. It's possibly fallen asleep. Illume has been learning the score, slowly- about how to behave in public.

"Probably won't be the last time. Heh." he says.

"If you meet someone named Runealy, that's my friend. She's the 'boss' as it were- though we're all really just friends in the end-- her words would have more weight. She'd probably be intrested in helping you sort things out after you make your wish."

"I'm sure she'd relish the idea of helping someone new to this whole thing at least." he smiles a bit.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura smiles, "I know several who hate the idea of me doing this. Its too dangerous, and Well... The puella magi aren't beyonf fighting each other. I guess its understandable." She sighs and then gives a little smirk, "I don't think I'm as worried as they are. If anyone disagrees they can ask that car back there." She laughs. Yeah it ain't much but it sure beats being down.

"I know what I am going to do if I make the contract though. I'm going to live every day to its fullest. I'll fight when I need to but I am going to make sure I live every moment that I have left. That is the only way this wish can really be worth it."

She then smirks, "May I umm... touch your face? I wanna feel what you look like. I think I threw the creature when I asked to this this."

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari shrugs. "Well, Puella Magi, I understand, are kinda an odd bunch. They keep to themselves, and I rarely see them as a group, until fairly recently. I'd say Puella Magi form cliques more than they do groups, really, at this point." he smirks. "With infighting between them."

He blinks. "Oh--um. Sure...." he says. "If you think it'll help yu." he says as he gently takes Shinobu's hand and guides it toward's his face. "There. Right in front of you. Don't poke me in the eye now~" he says.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura smiles softly and gently touches Hinote's face. Her fingers move across his face, taking in every part of it. There is a smirk on her face but that is neither here nor there. "Oh." She blushes a little. "Thank you very much." She smiles and steps back.

She seems to be in a little bit of a daze. Its enough of one for her to seem very distracted. It takes a minute for her to recover. "Oh umm! Sorry! Umm." Her cheeks turn bright red. "I umm. I just was a little lost ya know." She giggles. For a brief moment, she's not a potential anything. She's just a school girl who may or may not have a slight crush.

"I think I am going to umm... I need to get home." She giggles again. Reaching into her pocket she pulls out a pen and a small tablet. Idly she writes something down. "So umm... where do you go to school." She giggles again.

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari is used to 'crushes'. He's a rich actor's son. There's rumors and stories and probably none of them are true.

He has a coy smile as he hrms. "Mm. That's okay. Not the first blind girl to ask that. Touch my face that is." he admits softly.

"Oh, well, Seishou, technically, but I'm transfering to Seiyou this upcoming term. I'll be living closer to there in the next few days." he says.

"Where do you go to, Shinobu?" he asks softly.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura smiles, "I go to Infinity U. I got in on a scholarship. I've got a talent for public speaking. Its nothing flashy. I mean, Sometimes I can help people that way. I get access to the the radio club which is awesome! I'll be starting there next week."

Her phone goes off with an alarm and the voice of Siri speaks up, "Shinobu-chan, Cure Gull will be bringing by dinner soon. Would you like to cancel?" The girl frowns. "I'm going to have to head out. I'm sorry. I gotta get back to the dorm." SHe turns trying to get her barings. Then she quickly doubles back and gives the slip of paper to Hinote. Its her phone number. "See ya!"

Hinote Kagari looks at the slip of paper. Oh, a phone number! He pockets it for later.

"See ya Shinobu, don't do anything I wouldn't do~" he insists as he turns back to the ramen guy.

Wait, what why is he getting the stink eye now!?
