Cast of Characters: Hannah Sharpe, Haruna Kurosawa

Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Another night, and it's an off day for Hannah at her apartment! She has a belated christmas present all ready, and part of it? Well, it includes food. It's some sort of vaguely Japanese affair for once, the young woman trying her hand at local cooking. She's made somewhat decent sushi, some fried rice, and of course...

Ham with sausage gravy. Because she was running out of ideas, even now Japanese cuisine isn't her thing!

Still, Boris is obediently at the door, awaiting for Haruna to arrive! Hannah is dressed in pajamas: oddly enough, they're pink and have cute little yellow fantasy birds on them. Someone might be a closet geek.

Sip. Gravy's just perfect.

"Now where is that cute little bird?" She wonders aloud.
Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Corvus is staying home. Haruna is not bringing Corvus on a proper evening out. Corvus isn't put out, he had an MMORPG Raid anyways with the guild he's a part of. Oh. Not that bird. You mean Haruna is trying to hurry up the elevator, tapping her foot angrily because the elevator is SO SLOW.

Maybe she should convience Hannah to leave a window unlocked so she can just Pretty Cure fly up into the apartment. :I. But that might be dangerous and also unnessacry.

So Haruna arrives, uncermoniously at the door and is let in by Boris. "Hello, Boris-kun~" says Haruna happily. She shhhhhhhhs Boris and slides him a big ol' steak bone from a fancy bag she's carrying then leans back up and then slides into the apartment.

"Hannah-chan~ Oh! This smells wonderful! I smell.... some vinegar rice--so Sushi? Some Fried Rice and----"

"...is that ham I smell? ...."

"..and sausage?" she taps her bottom lip.

She giggles at a high clip. "Oh, Hannah, that's wonderful~" She beams and moves in to give Hannah a VERY tight hug and a smooooooch~ <3.

But more importantly. "Oh, right!"

"I didn't tell you about Christmas day!"

"I helped murder The Colonel and the American Country of Kentucky is free from his tyranical reign of--- was it 11 herbs and spices?" she asks curiously.

She seems dead serious.
Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Boris? That traitor-dog just sets upon that bone with relish. Nom nom nom!

Stealth Haruna go! Hannah grins as she hears that voice! She walks over, and gets pulled into a hug! Smoooch right back! Ever tactile, the young woman lingers, just enjoying the presence of a dear person in her life.

"I'm trying to branch out! Local stuff, you know. Let me know how it is, okay?"

Pause. Pauuuuuse.

"...What?" Is her first words for a good five minutes as she blindly /stares/!

"I do hope that was some kind of evil youma, and not the real Colonel. Wait. He's been dead for ages. Must have been a youma. Or a zombie. So you're good! But, uh, no attacking random KFC's. And kentucky is a state, not a country."

That's your Hannah fact for the day!

"...Hold up. Is that why I had Evil Fried Chicken in my fridge?" No, thankfully, she didn't eat it. Was tempting though.

Griiin. "So, I've got something for you."

She puts the gravy off the stove, and then pulls Haruna into the living room. There's a small box offered to her.

"Go on. Open!" She offers, oddly excited.
Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa says. "Yes! ... You didn't eat any did you...?" she pauses.

"Oh-- there was a giant chicken and we had to fight and it had his face! Ask Akemi-san about it!" she beams.

She grins. "Boris let me in without notice because he's a good dog." she insists. She blinks as she peers towards the food and begins to sneak over to it-- though, Hannah sees fit to bestow gifts first. She blinks and blushes. "O--oh!" she sort of peeks as she steals the box as she's led into the living room.

She begins to unwrap it and makes to open it. While she does that- she also pulls out some various wrapped objects! They're various sizes.

"I'm gonna open this first!" she says. "Um..." she moves Hannah's hand, carefully to the pile she just laid out. "Here... are my gifts!..."

"I mean. My gifts. To you!"

"Cuz I got you stuff!..."

"Even if you have a lot of everything you could buy alright..." she blushes.
Hannah Sharpe has posed:
What's in the box? Another box. Because Hannah is cheeky like that. And another tinier box. And finally?

It's a silver necklace, with a locket attached. Should Haruna open it? There's a picture of a very, very young Hannah, with her Mother, Father, and finally? A grey-haired woman that looks like a very old Hannah, standing straight and tall.

"My girlfriend is part of the family, far as I'm concerned. And a picture will do you more good than me. You know the rest, but that there? That's my grandma. Didn't get to know her well. Old lady, you see. But one of the first female kickboxers. She's an inspiration. I hope she can be the same to you, Haruna."

"Yes. A good traitor dog." Peeer! Boris whines! Then nombones!

Hannah has to fumble at the sounds a bit, but eventually Haruna comes to her rescue! Yoink! She tears open with her usual lack of subtlety!

"Whoa...that's a lot of stuff! You didn't have to do this much, Haruna!" Her voice is utterly excited and happy as she tears into presents!
Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa grins at Boris and then... a box?

....and then inside is!-----

is a smaller box!----

AND THEN---

A necklace and a locket, she peers inside and blushes a little silently- excepting to find a doofy picture of Hannah- instead, she finds something much sweeter and closer.

Hannah gets another tight hug and a gentle kiss and a 'thank you~" quietly.

"It's lovely Hannah~ I love it... your family looks so happy and--- I'm sure your gramma will gimme help!" she insists. "Because I'm wearing this now~" she says slipping it around her neck.

There's not a LOT of gifts, one is similar to what Hannah got her, a necklace with a locket! Haruna is not silly enough to put a picture in there- but instead is etched braille with the words with Haruna's name written in it. It's simpler compared to Hannah's she blushes. "Erm-- I figured. That'd make more sense..." she mutters a little.

THE NEXT is a book. It's thick, it too- is in braile- because Haruna is once again, not that silly to get a book with regular words. The books is called 'Annie on my Mind' over the cover. The back describes it as being a story about love between two girls in a time when it was largely forebidden. The date suggests the book was original printed in the '80's. It's not a new release.

"Um...." she pauses a bit. "...that book kind of means a lot to me--I don't... even know if you've read it before." she mutters- suddenly seeming a bit pensive.

"Do you know... how I said... my parents... don't care much...? It's because... they discovered my copy of that book." she mutters. "I guess I really wasn't like that at the time... It was just thoughts. But... my parents were super traditional and things got out of hand fast."

She smiles, resuming her usually happy attitude. "You're lucky to have parents who care so much Hannah-chan. That don't care about that kind of thing!" she insists.

"But uh, I couldn't really get you. All schmutzly stuff..."

Which is why the last gift is just a ring with a pretty expensive looking emerald inset on it! "It's a ring! With pretty green gem in it...."

"...cuz your wind magic's green..."

"...and I'm just kind of like an off color of greenish!..."

"So there!" she beams.

"My paychecks haven't been going to waste!" she insists.
Hannah Sharpe has posed:
All throughout that smooch and hug as Haruna puts on that necklace? Hannah unabashedly lets tears slip in joy as the other woman accepts. She squeezes, and nods.

"I'm glad. You need her help more than me, probably. A 'good guy'. Heh. She'd have liked you." Admits Hannah, before letting go. As it turns out, by that grin, Hannah loves books. Knowing how to read despite her lack of sight is something of a point of pride for the young woman. The locket is instantly put on!

"You are a silly little seagull, but you have perfect senses for gifts." Squeeze!

"Thank you, Haruna, I..." Then, that /book/! She goes quiet as Hannah lets Haruna tell her tale, and for a brief moment?

There's that fire and fury in her sightless eyes, before some lemonade manages to quench that fire. For now. Haruna's parents might eventually get one heck of a chewing out.

"I'm going to take care of this, Haruna. Heh. I haven't read it, but bet your butt I am! ...That so, huh? Yeah, I'm lucky. They've always accepted me. Dad always says 'Right or wrong, I'm behind my girl'. They let me live my life, and don't judge me for it. There's..." Gulp. She's crying, joyfully now, clinging to Haruna and smiling at her.

She puts on the ring, too!

"C'mon! I look pathetic, right? That's too sweet. Oh, you're meeting the family soon, you!" She says amidst happy little sobs. And then, the oven dings. Crap.

"THE HAM!" Tear-streaked-faced Hannah is off to the kitchen, to work on the food! One monent!
Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa acks!? "It was still cooking!? Uh---H--hannah-chan don't cry!" she says with a sniff. What. She isn't crying! Birds can't cry! Go away! ;_;.

No, she is, lightly. This has been a really special night. She'll probably cry about it to Aki who'll roll her eyes but maybe feel a little less worrisome aboutt 'White-chan' later. She still won't join WPS's payroll though. :I. Because Aki's a jerk like that.

"Does Ham even burn!?" she asks.

"...maybe if we puts lots of the gravy on it..."
