Synopsis: Reiko visits with Ikiko and Ayana! Ayana remembers a few more things it seems!
Cast of Characters: Reiko Touyama, Ikiko Hisakata, Ayana

Reiko Touyama has posed:
Reiko Touyama was in... a mood. Both good and bad things. The bad still outweighed the good though, so she was still kind of strugglin. The most harrowing blow being Mei-chan leaving to chase a lead on her missing mother. Mei-chan.... ugh. Regardless, Dad had brought up Hisakata-san, and inviting her over again- and she realized it's been long enough that it's probably safe to visit Ikiko again now- well not quite safe, but she wanted to give her time.

She gives a text.

'Reikoi: Hey Hey! ^,^ Let's visit in the botanical gardens, okay?'

-and true to her text, she was there, sitting on a bench with a sketchpad and was drawing the snow scape in the gardens. Just because it was winter didn't mean there still wasn't prettiness here!

She was drawing a snowdrift against a tree currently. This was harder than you think it would be.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata was glad to hear from Reiko; they hadn't had many chances to talk since the ritual to free Ayana. She walks through the park, the little fox on its leash as they make their way along the cleared paths.

"Hi, Reiko-chan!" she calls once she's in sight of the younger girl. "How are you today?"

Ayana has posed:
Snowdrifts are hard to walk through, too, when your legs are only about a third of a meter long. This should mean the little red fox is huddling Ikiko's legs, clinging to the well-walked path. Should and curious foxes don't often go hand in hand. The little fox is at the very limits of its rope, bounding through the snow almost comically as it tries to keep up with her walking pace while taking the hardest path possible.

Let it be known that the way to make this fox ignore its lazy tendencies is to introduce it to snow.

As they draw near to Reiko, the fox finally pads out of the snow, shakes itself free of the light dusting, then walks up to Reiko and begins sniffing around at her feet and legs curiously.

Reiko Touyama has posed:
Reiko Touyama beams! "Ikiko!" she says. She eyes the fox. It doesn't take her particularly wrong to figure out 'this is Ayana'- in her head. She giggles a little as the fox bounds through snow trying to keep up. Why!? It's still silly, she gives a stiffled giggle. She let's the fox sniff. She's not about to pet her because she doesn't know what's what yet and she doesn't wanna loose a hand.

"I'm... okay. I----"

"...Mei's transfered schools..." she says looking down a bit. "...because she has a lead on where her mom is..."

Yeah- and here she was worrying about leaving Mei alone. /and she does it first/. She gets it's an important reason, just....

She shakes her head. "So--- not been the best really , I suppose but-- getting better." she says.

Then she says. "This is Ayana-chan, right?" she asks softly. "She looks different! Eek. I hope that's not my fault...." it's totally her fault. "....can she talk, or-- can you talk to her.. or..?" she asks curiously. "What's-- the score... n' all that." she says.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata gives Reiko a hug. "I wish her the best of luck," she murmurs. "And yes, that's Ayana. She seems to have forgotten most of the stuff from before the bond was broken, but she does seem to be smarter than a normal fox. Definitely smarter than a dog."

She crouches down and skritchies the fox. "Foxes are canids, so I'm still able to talk with her," she remarks. "I don't think she'd mind being petted by you, but I should probably make reintroductions."

Ikiko smiles at the fox. "This is Reiko-chan. She's a friend of mine, and she was also a friend of former-you," she explains in caninespeak. "Would you like her to pet you?"

Ayana has posed:
The fox leans into those ear-pettings happily, eyes slowly drifting closed. Oh yes. This fox likes to be scritched.

When the question comes, it almost misses it, but the little fox blinks its eyes open and tilts its head back to peer up at Ikiko (upside down). After a moment, it looks towards Reiko, then bounds up into the orange girl's lap--heedless of getting wet paws on drawing paper. Rude!

"I smell jerky" the little fox observes, as it begins sniffing around Reiko's jacket curiously.

Reiko Touyama has posed:
Reiko Touyama head tilts and looks down at Ayana and she goes down to pet when---- whoops, now there is a fox in her lap! Whoops. She's sniffing her- she does in fact, give the fox a scritch behind the ears like Ikiko was doing, but then hrmmmmms. "What is she...."

"Oh...."

"Oh!"

"The Jerky..." she says bashfully as she digs out the package.

"...does she want some?" she asks to Ikiko quizically with a smile.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
"She still has the same appetite, so yes," Ikiko giggles. "I've even given her the occasional 'Carnivore Special' sandwich that she used to like, although the mustard caught her by surprise at first."

She gives the fox another skritch, then some actual pettings. "Reiko-chan made it a habit to bring along jerky for former-you," Ikiko remarks to the fox. "Especially considering how much you loved it."

Ayana has posed:
As soon as the bag of jerky is revealed, the little fox begins to wag its tail. It presses its nose to the bag and tries to chew the jerky straight through it, but those sharp teeth just slide right off the plastic at this awkward angle.

The fox makes soft noises of unhappiness, and looks up at Reiko with big, begging blue eyes. "Open it open it open it," her voice is busy whining to Reiko.

Reiko Touyama has posed:
Reiko Touyama acks! "O--okay okay hold your tailfin!" she says softly. She tears along that preferation at the top and opens the ziplock portion and takes out a piece of jerky, and begins to feed it to Ayana lightly, two fingers just delicatly grabbing it on the far end so she isn't loosing fingers.

"So she's forgotten everything...?" she asks. "Are you handling that okay Ikiko?" she asks softly.

She shakes her head a bit. She gives Ayana another head pat, another piece of jerky when she's ready.

"So---what did you tell your parents. They... gotta know something by now. right?" she asks.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
"More or less," sighs Ikiko. "I think there's still some of 'her' still in there, but it's probably buried deep. And... my parents already knew that Ayana was fox-influenced, so I mentioned that I did the bond-breaking ritual. I didn't tell them about anyone else involved, so don't worry about that!"

Another sigh as she skritches the fox's head. "I basically have a month to prove that Ayana's still in there, which isn't going to be easy if I don't want them to find out about how I can speak with canids," she admits.

Ayana has posed:
The little fox chomps down on the jerky and begins to chew vigorously. Like her black-haired predecessor, this creature seems to view chewing as a necessary evil rather than a thing you should do, because each bite is swallowed a little sooner than she ought.

Still, Reiko's fingers are safe. The fox seems to know how to take without biting. It sits down in Reiko's lap, tail wagging happily as it continues from piece to piece, obviously eager to get through the whole bag, if it can.

Reiko Touyama has posed:
Reiko Touyama blinks a month? Then what happens? Ugh does she want to know? She shakes her head. "If there's anything I can do, let me know..." she says softly. She doesn't know what she can do---ugh.

"Yeah that's..." she sighs and shakes her head- watching Ayana eat and just continues to feed her jerky from the bag. "I dunno what I /can/ do to help..." she mutters. "Not really my strong suite here..." she admits.

She looks down a bit. "Mei left in charge... I have the rest of the unactivated Chroma Prisms. I dunno what I should do. Mei... wasn't really keen on trying to awaken more Prism Keepers. She wanted to keep people out of the mess she made but...."

"....I'm thinking it might be worth it to try to find the owners..." she admits with a matter of fact nod. "I'm all alone now. And Griselda is getting more active recently..."

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata gives Reiko another hug. "Don't forget that I can help where I can, too," she reminds her friend. "I might not be as effective against Shades as you are, but I can at least slow them down for you."

More petting for the fox. "As for Ayana... reminding her of the past seems to help. Maybe if we meet up on patrol, the sight of us in our henshins might help her recall more about who she used to be?"

Ayana has posed:
The little fox tilts her head at something Ikiko says. The little fox actually stops chewing long enough to turn and stare at Ikiko. Then it finishes swallowing the bite in its mouth before looking back to Reiko. It studies her, then looks to Ikiko again and asks, "You can transform?"

Reiko Touyama has posed:
Reiko Touyama nods. "Maybe!" she beams. "We can meet up some night soon and try it." she says. She sighs a bit and shakes her head. "I uh--- fought----"

"Tall-dark-and-grey-haired. Recently. He's upset. Ikiko, please be very careful." she muttrs.

That's all she says on the subject. More Jerky- though the bag is starting to empty.

She just says. "I just dunno if it's fair to rely on you guys to solve my problems that's supposed to be.... well--- my duty." she mutters.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
"Yes, I can transform," Ikiko smiles to the fox. "And apparently my scent is slightly different in my magical form. Close enough that dogs apparently think my magical self is in the same pack as myself, but different enough that they think we're two different people. And Reiko can also transform, but it's a different transformation."

She then gives Reiko a lopsided grin. "If it makes you feel better, think of it as me also taking care of my interests," she remarks. "I mean, think about my henshin colors -- they're close enough to orange that I'm not sure what would happen to me if you lost your color!"

That may or may not be as reassuring as she had hoped.

Ayana has posed:
The little fox looks between Reiko and Ikiko, then back to Reiko, then back to Ikiko. It seems to be taking its time really trying to think about this matter. Once more it leans into sniff Reiko's hands, then takes the jerky from her fingers. This time the fox hops down from Reiko's lap.

As it chews, the little fox sniffs around Reiko's ankles, as if hunting for some clue as to who the girl is. "Transform," the little fox demands. "I want to see."

Reiko Touyama has posed:
Reiko Touyama can't speak fox, else she'd probably oblige. She does however blink when Ayana hops off her lap and zips the Jerky bag backup, she slips it back into her pocket. She sighs a bit. "I dunno what happens to 'orange-colored magical girls' if something happens to me or my Chroma Prism." she says softly. "I assume nothing good." she says with a soft sigh. "Or at the very least, you're just.... grey." she mutters.

"Probably not good in any sense." she says softly. "Roy's also upset about Mei--- she did it without discussing it with him." she mutters, then blinks. "Oh--- right."

"Roy... Gigi... and Biv. Those are our mascots and our mentors. Roy's able to detect when a Shade appears ANYWHERE in Tokyo which is why I know they've been popping up here and there in small spats." she mutters. "My Prism only reacts to nearby ones." she sighs.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
"Short range, but it also seems to notice other sources of darkness," Ikiko remarks, somewhat distracted by the little fox. A transformation, right now? Well, it was bound to happen, sooner or later...

Well, might as well make it now. "She wants to see us transform," she explains. A quick look around shows no other people in the area, but some habits still die hard. Ikiko steps over to a nearby cluster of bushes, still visible to Reiko and the fox, then touches a hand to her locket.

"Lycan Locket!" she calls out, and then she's covered in a silvery aura. Moments later, the glowing light fades away, revealing the magical wolfgirl Cute Wolf Tsukiko! "Yes, it's still me," Tsukiko remarks, gently smiling at the fox.

Ayana has posed:
The little fox suffers what can only be described as a momentary lapse of consciousness. She's staring at Ikiko as she henshins, but she isn't processing it. She stumbles backwards a step, and sits very suddenly on her bum in the snow.

"Cute ... Wolf," the little fox observes. And it's not an opinion on Ikiko's appearance, that's for sure. "Yuzu?" What a strange word for the little fox to say. With her lead dropped, the fox turns around in a circle, and then begins trotting towards one of the Yuzu trees in the garden, sniffing at it curiously.

Reiko Touyama has posed:
Reiko Touyama nods. "Shades seem similar to--- everythoing else corrupted and 'dark'." she says. "But it reacts strong to shades. It'll physically point at them and I'll feel an uncomfortable twinge in my gutt. Non-shades just make me feel uneasy and the crystal reacts a little." she says softly.

She reaches for her crystal. "Chroma Prism Orange, Transform!" she calls out.

There's a transformation, koi tie a hair bow, one becomes a fish clip!

She blinks and lifts off the bench and floats over towards Cute Wolf. Then follows Ayana. "What's she doing now?" she asks.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Cute Wolf Tsukiko watches the little fox, a smile starting to cross her face. "She's starting to remember the Yuzu trees," she explains, walking after the fox.

Once over by the fox, she picks it up so it can get a closer look at the fruits of the Yuzu trees. "These were helpful when former-you was saturated with deep darkness," she explained. "With the help of Prism Keeper Orange -- that's Reiko-chan's magical self -- we were able to chase the deep darkness out of former-you. And my howl also helped remove the deep darkness, too! The scent and the innate magic of the Yuzu helped weaken to deep darkness, allowing us to drive it away."

Ayana has posed:
The little fox sniffs around curiously, then lets out a noise of startlement when Cute Wolf Tsukiko picks it up. It turns to regard her, and catches sight of Prism Kepeer orange instead. "Koifish taste like baths," says the little fox, and its face scrunches up in unhappiness.

Why does it remember that?

The fox turns around, though, to sniff at an overripe yuzu that she's been presented with, then makes a distinctly unhappy face and twists and nips at Cute Wolf Tsukiko's hand, trying to get itself away from that plant.

Something's spooked her.

Reiko Touyama has posed:
Prism Keeper Orange head tilts at the fox and then eeks! When Ayana-chan gets spooked! "Eeek! Um...." She kind of looks around frantically but there isn't much she can do-- but---- "Diffuse....!" she calls out.

The Yuzu on the tree grow grey as Orange takes the color into her crystal. She sees if this helps-- it makes the Yuzu boring, gray and smell ... well 'mopey'.

"I dun't thing that did anything happy..." She says.

"Is she okay?" she asks.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Cute Wolf Tsukiko yelps slightly, but turns away from the Yuzu tree and puts the fox on the ground. "Don't worry, there's none of that deep darkness left in you," she says reassuringly, walking along for whatever distance the fox decides to scamper. "And while I haven't tried to bite any of them, former-you did mention that magical koifish taste somewhat like soap."

She looks back towards Orange. "I think it gave her a bad memory," the wolfgirl shrugs. "Although she did remember that your magical koi apparently taste like soap. 'Taste like baths' is the phrase she used."

Ayana has posed:
The little fox hides behind the nearest snowdrift, then stares back at the tree worriedly through Tsukiko's legs. It whimpers a little and buries its muzzle in the snow, then flicks some of the white stuff towards the werewolf girl.

"Pain," she whimpers. "Yuzu is pain. Like ... like fire."

Reiko Touyama has posed:
Prism Keeper Orange head tilts and nods some. "Oh--- right she..." she giggles. "I guess they're just kinda of magical constructs in the end." she says softly. "So probably doesn't taste like 'real fish.'" she grins. She head tilts some as she follows along. She frowns.

"I hope it isn't too bad. Is there anything I can do...?" she asks softly. She sighs and raises her wand and returns the color... "Infuse!" she calls out- the color returning. It'd had returned on it's own- but it's better to return it willingly!

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Cute Wolf Tsukiko sits next to the fox, scooping it into her lap and holding it close. "Purification only burns deep darkness," she murmurs soothingly, petting the worried fox. "And there's none of that darkness left within you, so the yuzu can't hurt you now."

The wolfgirl gently rocks the fox, then starts to... well, it's not exactly a howl; more like a hum instead. But it's similar to her Soulful Howl, just softer and quieter, with (much) less power behind it. The gentle lullaby wordlessly carries the feelings of safety and love to the fox, seeking to reassure it that there is nothing to fear.

Ayana has posed:
The little fox seems comforted by the hum. It settles immediately into her lap, and calms. For a moment, the little fox stares at the tree, then turns its gaze to Reiko, before its eyes begin to slowly close.

Reiko Touyama has posed:
Prism Keeper Orange looks to the fox and smiles. She quiets down a little and floats over to Ikiko and whispers. 'I think she's tired out from your singing~' she beams. She looks around. "Maybe... we should go before people come along or at least--- untransform now. Not many people though... come to the gardens in the winter- even if it's SUPER pretty!" She beams.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Cute Wolf Tsukiko nods to Orange, then carefully stands up, still carrying the fox. With a brief glow of silver, she returns to being Ikiko.

She lightly kisses the fox on the forehead, then glances back at the Yuzu trees. "I think this helped, overall," she nods to Orange. "A few more memories gained, and some lingering fears hopefully addressed."

Ayana has posed:
The little fox does indeed seem on the verge of drifting to sleep, at this point. "Warm," it murmurs quietly, then yawns widely. The creature wags its tail and sighs in contentment. "I love you." Dog logic.

Reiko Touyama has posed:
Reiko Touyama floats down and let's her henshin fade and she pats herself off. She smiles! "Thanks for coming to visit Ikiko~ n' Ayana~" she says, giving the sleepy fox a soft head pat.

"--and thanks for listening to my troubles too-- just. Meh. Lots stuff going wrong." she says. "At least one thing is getting cleared-up!" she winks at Ikiko. She means the Ayana situation of course!

She goes back for her backpack and picks it up!

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
"I love you too, Ayana," Ikiko smiles back, kissing the fox on the forehead once more. She carefully tucks the fox into her jacket, giving it an even warmer place to rest for the trip back home.

"Glad to hear from you again, Reiko-chan," she grins at her friend. "And remember: I'm here for you, even if you don't think it involves me."
