Foxy Talk
Date of Scene: 01 February 2016
Location: Mitakihara/Pikarigaoka - King Penguin Park
Synopsis: Reiko introduces Hoshi to Ikiko and Ayana! They talk about magical things and a possible way to turn Ayana back into a girl!
Cast of Characters: Reiko Touyama, Ikiko Hisakata, Ayana, Hoshi Kogane

Reiko Touyama has posed:
Ikiko gets a text at some point, it goes like this:

Reikoi: Ikiko!~ I have a friend I wanna introduce to you and she had an idea about Ayana... meet me in the park!~

And thusly, Reiko has tugged Hoshi out into the park. She's in her usual jacket and shirt and has taken up residence on a bench! "I promised you I'd introduce you to some of my other friends so... I'm gonna keep that promise!" she beams.

"Ikiko should be here any moment now. She may have a 'pet fox' with her... that's Ayana-chan, like I told ya. Don't worry, she's a sweetie!" she beams.

"She might try to nip your stars thou.." she says with a short giggle.

A koi's been following lazily along today for the ride. It might be jealous about Hoshi's stars because it's mimicing Reiko's mouth motions whenever she talks about the stars and also it looks jealous even.

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
Hoshi walks along, smiling as she looks around for the potential friends. "Ikichan and Ayanachan, right?" She tries to remember the names, a little star popping up on top of her head with what looks like a big pen and some kind of notebook, as though it's literally keeping notes of what's being told. Another star decides to respond to Reiko's koi by floating in front of the Koi and sticking out its tongue. It's probably not helping.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata walks along, Ayana's leash in one hand. The text had intrigued her, especially since Reiko isn't one to talk about magical stuff to those not in the know (barring special circumstances, of course). So, if she knows of a person who might be able to help with Ayana...

...then perhaps that person has magic?

As she comes around a corner, Ikiko spots Reiko and the koi, plus the other girl and the two stars. "Guess she does have magic," Ikiko smiles, then waves to her friend. "Hi, Reiko-chan!" she calls as she walks over.

Ayana has posed:
For a change, the little fox padding along at Ikiko's side seems to hav contained its lust for bounding through snowdrifts. Instead, it keeps pace with her very primly, that blue leash has plenty of lead for it to move away on still.

As Ikiko draws near, the fox peers at the fish and the stars curiously, tilting its head. But it doesn't offer any noises that Ikiko might understand as words. Instead, it merely continues approaching with her, ears pointed forward in curiosity.

Reiko Touyama has posed:
The koi looks unimpressed and begins to chase the star. The two leave a yellow and orange sparkle trail as they chase one another. They circle around the arriving Ikiko before continuing off somewhere over to the right.

"Ikiko-chan!" she says she nods to Hoshi. "Ikiko n' Ayana. Ikiko is the person, Ayana is the fox." she says. She looks back to Ikiko and beams.

"Ikiko... this is. Hoshi Kogane, she's a friend of mine!-- she awoken as Prism Keeper Yellow!" she beams. Ikiko will remember about lamenting going on alone not too long ago. Seems something made that not an issue, and would explain Reiko's currently very pleasent mood.

"Um.. Hoshi. This is Ikiko Hisakata. She hunts curses and... is the Cute Wolf I mentioned." she says. She motions.

"The fox is Ayana! But. I dunno if she understands human talk still?" he looks at Ikiko questioningly.

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
Hoshi politely bows to the new faces, "Nice to meet you." Her mannerisms suggest she's from a household that values manners, or otherwise she probably wouldn't act like this. "I'll do my best." She smiles, and then the formalities seem to melt away as she looks towards the fox, and around. "It's still kinda weird to me that all this is real, but I guess I'll get used to it."

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
"And nice to meet you!" Ikiko beams at Hoshi. "And yes, it mostly takes time and experience to get used to being a magical girl." And sometimes advice from your mascot, if you happen to have one.

She gives Reiko a small shrug. "Not well enough to tell right now, but she's remembering things in fits and starts," Ikiko explains. "She might recall how to understand humans again, but I'm not sure how long until then."

Ayana has posed:
When Ikiko stops to greet the new girl, the fox continues forward a few more steps, then begins sniffing around at Hoshi's feet. Sniff sniff. Sniff sniff. After a moment, it wags its tail lazily, then pads back towards Ikiko, winding between her legs, before it sits down and leans on the inside of her calf.

Reiko Touyama has posed:
Reiko Touyama nods. "Hoshi... had an idea. About Ayana. Um... she kind of mentioned it off handedly, but-- you would.. know better to look into it maybe. Um. she said something about----"

"Going to a Shrine of Inari?" she looks at Hoshi curiously. "Was that it?" she smiles. She feels like she may be missing a point. She looks over at Hoshi and beams. "Don't worry, you'll get used to it fast... what to do, what not to do. It /is/ jarring." she sighs. "I really need to get Roy out more and hanging with us so he can guide us better." she says crossing her arms.

"I think he's jealous of all the other birds who come to the window and tweet at Biv!" she insists.

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
Hishi crouches a little to lean forward and try to pet the fox. "Hey there." She smiles, and stays down like that to allow the fox to come close if it wants to. "Well I just thought that if she's a fox who used to be a foxperson, then maybe Inari can do something to make her a foxperson again? I mean Kitsunes are Inari's favoured, right?" She sounds a little nervous, like she's not at all convinced that's how it works.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata thinks for a moment. "Sounds about as reasonable as anything else," she finally admits with a faint nod. "Of course, the challenge would be in convincing Inari-sama to grant a boon like this, and... I'm not completely sure what that would take."

She reaches down and gives the fox a few skritchies. "I think Hoshi-chan would like it if you let her pet you," she murmurs to the fox in caninespeak.

Ayana has posed:
The little fox shakes its ears a little, smacking the soft things against Ikiko's legs. Then it slowly inches its way forward, crounching like it's going to pounce. But it doesn't tamp its hindlegs, and it doesn't actually leap; it just slowly edges forward until it can very gently sniff at Hoshi's outstretched fingers.

After a few moments, the fox takes still further steps forwad, pushing its head up under Hoshi's hand, forcing her to pet its ears almost like a cat might. "Outstretched hands usually mean pettings, yes. I like pettings. Tell Hoshi-chan that she can pet my ears." Of course, to Hoshi it sounds mostly like little noises of whimpering and growling. Possibly alarming coming from what should be a wild animal.

Reiko Touyama has posed:
Reiko Touyama beams. "Oh, that's right. Ikiko can talk to dogs and canines and stuff!" she says to Hoshi. "So you'll hear stuff like that. It's really cool actually!" she beams.

She nods. "I think it sounds like a good idea!" because yes, this is Hoshi's life now: 'Let's go talk to gods! Let's ask favors of gods!' and this would probably sound very silly to Hoshi about a week ago.

"So she can still talk to Ayana-chan!" she beams.

She looks to Ikiko. "I told Hoshi about a lot of people I know. I'm gonna try to introduce her to everyone I can. Well. The good people. I hope Hoshi never has to deal with any of the major jerks..." she mutters.

"Like that jerk cat!" she huffs! "That's right!" she points to Hoshi suddenly! Dramatically and she even gets up and places her foot on the top of the bench!

"If you see a guy with blue hair and cat ears- that's Ikuto! He's mean to koi! And-- and-- um... actually he just does bad things..."

Her freveor slowly dissapears.. "And... he gives good advice and..."

"...I don't think he's doing bad things because he wants to..."

"BUT!..." the frevor builds up a little. "He actually steals peoples dreams!" she huffs! "And uses them to empower himself! So! Don't hesitate to stop him!" she huffs!

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
Hoshi does the petting, scritching the fox behind the ears, even though she seems a smidge worried about the whimpering and growling, she tries not to let it bother her. "I guess asking that of her would be a stretch, huh." Hoshi sounds a little worried about that, but tries to be cheerful. "Well if we can find a way to ask, at least we'll know. Even if it's something we can't do, we'll have tried."

Then Reiko goes on a rant about Ikuto and Hoshi can't help but get giggles, possibly to make things worse a star with cat ears pops out alongside a star hugging a koi, and the former reach out for the latter, who blushes. Hoshi doesn't even notice.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
"Don't worry, she was just stating that you have permission to pet her ears," Ikiko says reassuringly to Hoshi. "If she didn't want pettings, she'd move herself out of reach of them."

She does her best to stifle a giggle at the acting shenanigans of Hoshi's stars. At times it's been hard enough to avoid laughing at the capers of Reiko's koi-buddies; now there's a second Prism Keeper with her own set of semi-autonomous emotion-reflecting characters!

This promises to be lively.

Ayana has posed:
The little fox's eyes half-lid as she rubs into Hoshi's outstretched hand. The scritches to her ears only earn even more pleasured noises, and her oh-so-fluffy tail wags excitedly back and forth. The fox loses track of its positioning as it pushes closer, and closer, until its nose bumps against Hoshi's knee. It opens its eyes and bounces back a step with a start, then gives Hoshi an utterly goofy grin before letting out a little yapping noise, "Kon-kon! Kon-kon!"

Of course, to Ikiko that yap actually holds meaning: "Eek, too close! What are you talking about?"

Reiko Touyama has posed:
The koi shakes it's little tiny fish fin at the star as there begins to be another chase. This is just happening in the background- Reiko doesn't notice it until Ikiko is stiffling a giggle, she turns to the side. "Ohmigosh--hehehehe." she giggles.

"I guess they must be teasing one another." she says Thoughfully.

She smiles. "Ayana was nice when she could be a girl. We'll do our best to make sure she can be one again!" she says.

She peeks towards Hoshi and smiles. "See, she's a sweetie!"

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
Hoshi's starpals flee the Koi, but not before the cat-eared one blows a kiss towards it. Hoshi is trying very, very hard not to giggle. Then the fox bumps into Hoshi and she can't help but giggle, scritching beyond the fox's ears. "I'll try to help making her a girl again." She promises.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
"The main thing we're talking about is a possible way of allowing you to turn human again," Ikiko smiles at the fox, giving it a few skritchies under the chin. "There's a few other things being discussed, but nothing that'd be important to you right now."

She looks up at the two Prism Keepers and smiles. "Thanks for helping, you two," she grins. "I'm sure we'll figure out a way to make it work!"

Reiko Touyama has posed:
Reiko Touyama beams and grins. "Hoshi's always willing to help! She's nice like that!" she looks down. "Though.." she says a little. She shakes her head and looks back up. "I'll bother you later." she beams.

"Just... when we handle Ayana's situation, Ikiko can..."

"Can we start working on Misa's a little more harder?" she asks softly. "I'm worried... she went missing. I'm certain that stupid doll has things to do with that." she mutters.

Ayana has posed:
The little fox continues to lean into Hoshi's pettings, happily enjoying the touch. But then, without any real warning or explanation, it turns away and walks back to Ikiko's side. This time, it lays down next to her, placing its forepaws and head on the girl's foot. "Do you think this way will work?"

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
Hoshi tries to remember what was going on with Misa, the star with the pencil and notebook flipping pages to look for it. "Was that the cursed doll thing?" She asks, sounding a little unsure. When the fox moves away, Hoshi opens up her bag and takes out a little plastic box. It contains some pieces of fresh, raw chicken breast. She places it on the ground in front of her.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata nods somberly to Reiko. "Of course we'll help," she replies quietly. She's confident that Ayana will help out as well, given how much the former foxgirl liked helping her friends.

Her smile brightens as a relevant bit of news comes to mind. "And I've met a new magical girl, as well!" Ikiko beams. "She goes by Fist-chan, because she, uh, kinda traded her name in order to gain the power to protect her friend. If we ask nicely and help her get used to being a magical girl, she might be willing to help us help Misa!"

She then gives the fox a few long pettings while the Box of Temptation is set up. "Dunno, but it's worth a shot," she replies to the canid question.

Reiko Touyama has posed:
Reiko Touyama looks down. "Misa.. was cursed by a jealous doll. Yes. It's turned /her/ into one too-- her skin is kind of hard and--she has joints. It doesn't bother me. I just want her to be okay. She's scared and doesn't have many friends---in fact. I think I may be her first in a long while, because the doll chases everyone else away." she says.

"But I'm not letting a stupid doll chase me!" she huffs! "Even if it does cause bad luck." she admits.

She looks at Hoshi and grins. "Aha-!~ I knew you'd bring something like that if I mentioned Ayana~" she beams. "I usually just... bring jerky in my pocket." she grins and looks between Ikiko and Ayana for a moment to see how this goes. She head tilts at Ikiko...

"Trading your name.. or become a magical girl? Oh she calls herself Fist-chan now? Okay..." she looks down. "I dunno if I could trade my name to be a magical girl." she admits thoughtfully.

Ayana has posed:
The fox's ears swivel towards that box almost instantly, although the little creature only watches Hoshi out of the corner of its eyes. That is, until the chicken comes out. Suddenly, the fox is on its feet, and creeping towards the food. "Is this for me!?"

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
"What kind of hero would you be if you did." Hoshi agrees with Reiko, "If that stupid doll has a problem with us, I'll just paint it yellow." She folds her arms, serious looking. To emphasize her point, one star pops out next to her head, holding a comparatively giant paintbrush dipped in yellow paint.

"Trading your name to be a magical girl sounds, uh... not smart. Sorry, don't tell her I said that." Hoshi sighs, and looks up to the sky. "Maybe I've read too many stories, but every time someone trades their name it ends poorly in them." When the fox approaches the food, Hoshi pushes the box towards the fox.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
"Yes it is," Ikiko grins at the fox. "Enjoy!"

She then gives Hoshi an acknowledging headtilt. "I mentioned that those kinds of deals are usually only about as reliable as the entity making the deal," she notes. "Fist-chan didn't seemed too worried about it, and I didn't press the issue. Besides, the tattoo-gauntlet-dragons that work with her seem like a nice enough pair, no matter how different they are from each other."

Ayana has posed:
Now the little fox pounces, bounding up into the air then down onto the meat. It starts tearing into the pieces of chickenflesh with abandon, barely bothering to chew as it swallows the raw meat greedily down. Judging by the wagging tail, this is a seriously pleased canine.

Reiko Touyama has posed:
Reiko Touyama thinks and nods. "Yeah. I'm glad the birds we have are nice." she smiles wide. "I hope your new friend handles the situation well enough." she says softly. "It's gonna be hard without a name. I mean. How will you turn in school tests!? Or get from term to term!?" she says. "She can't use fist-chan can she!?" she asks. "That'd seem like cheating..." she says softly.

"But I figure you have to call her /something/ right?" she asks.

She beams a bit with a smile.

She grins down at Ayana. "Eeeee, look at that tail!~" she squeals.

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
Hoshi scritches the fox behind the ears while it eats the meat, and then leaves the canine alone for now, "Maybe we could make one up for her? It sounds like she wouldn't be able to get in touch with her parents or anything if she has no name... does she even go to school?" She sounds a bit worried about Fist-Chan. "I'll try to think of something."

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
"'Fist-chan' is a nickname -- one that I came up with for her when we were talking," Ikiko giggles ruefully. "I'm not sure how she'll manage school, but she said she was an 8th grader at Seiyou Public School."

A soft smile settles on her face. "Still, I think she'll be glad to hear that there's people thinking of how to help her," Ikiko nods.

Reiko Touyama has posed:
Reiko Touyama beams. "A nickname works for now though at least we don't need to go--- uh 'Hey you!' and 'How's what's-her-name!'" she giggles. "And be wondering who were' talkin about!" she says.

"We should meet her sometimes soon then! The more people we all know, the easier it is to seek help with some issues, right?" she asks with a smile.

She spins a bit merrily, a koi mimicing her motions after appearing and she sits back down.

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
Hoshi nods sincerely. "I'll try to think of a way to help Fist-chan and Misa-chan." She promises. As Reiko spins, a couple stars appear around the other Prism Keeper, spinning in the opposite direction. "I met a nice guy at Seiyou earlier today. Kukai-san, he could see my stars. He had a friend, Daichi-san, who seemed real sportsy."

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata nods in agreement with Reiko. "We have each other's cellphone numbers, so it wouldn't be hard for me to contact her," she points out. "I think we'd mostly just need to figure out a time and place to meet for me to introduce you two to her, and vice versa."

While Kukai's name doesn't ring any bells, the fact that he's apparently magical gets tucked away in Ikiko's mind. "I know that there's at least a couple of magical folks in a 'student government'-type club in Seiyou's middle school," she muses. "They're relatively easy to identify, because they have little floaty characters that only other magical types can see. Sort of like the catboy Reiko was talkign about earlier, but much nicer!"

Reiko Touyama has posed:
Reiko Touyama thinks. "...was that a tiny guy? Kinda like him? He was probably a Chara Bearer. Tadase and Amu are like that, too! They have.. um.. well." she thinks. "Tadase says 'everyone has a dream inside thier heart, and for some people, that dream manifests as an egg, and it hatches into your Guardian Chara'-- which is kinda like-- who you wanna be when you grow up." she says softly.

"Tadase has a tiny king named Kiskei with him.. and Amu has like /three/ of them!" she says.

"Um.. yeah. Ikuto's something like that too- he has a tiny catboy named 'Yoru'. Yoru likes chasing my koi." she hrmphs.

She crosses her arms and hrmphs.

"Yeah, Tadase and friends are MUCH nicer than that jerk catboy!" she says.

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
"He said he was a Seiyou School Guardian or something like it." Hoshi gives more detail on Kukai. "I was going to the Planetarium for Astronomy club but got lost and he showed me how to get there." She explains how she met the guy. "He seemed nice." She doesn't go on and mention anything regarding all those different people. "I should probably give you my number, right? Ikiko-san?" She pulls out an iPhone, the latest one by the looks of it, and pulls up her number.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
"Yeah, that'd probably be best," Ikiko agrees, pulling out her own phone and exchanging numbers with Hoshi. "My family knows that I've taken to helping to deal with curses -- it's kind of a family tradition -- but they don't know that I'm a magical girl, so just keep that in mind."

Reiko Touyama has posed:
Reiko Touyama nods. "Right." she says. "Ikiko's curse hunting runs in the family, but the werewolf thing would make her family upset if they found out. She likes helping people, so!" she huffs.

She beams. "My grandpa knows about me, but he can see my koi." she says softly. "He's probably gonna figure you out with the stars, Hoshi. But that's okay. My grandpa doesn't wanna tell my parents. Mainly because THEY can't see the koi and either a little kid with a wild imagination saying OR a 'senile old man' saying they can see floaty koi in the air isn't good for either of us!" she giggles a little.

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
Hoshi giggles. "Dad and grandma haven't seen." She noticeably doesn't mention mom, in any variantion. "So I think they don't know at home. I think I'd like to keep it that way, I'm sure dad would freak out and never let me go out again if he did, and then I couldn't help any of you." Then she tells Ikiko, "So I won't tell your parents anything you don't want me to."

Reiko Touyama has posed:
Reiko Touyama smiles and dusts her hands off suddenly. "Okay... Hoshi! Let's go bug Roy and Biv until they spill the beans for you! Also, I'm sure Momo will enjoy seeing you for a bit. She won't be able to see your starpals or my koi. But she misses the game a lot so!" she giggles.

"So let's go!" she says softly.

She looks to Ikiko and Ayana and nods. "If that's okay with you two~" she beams. "I'm just glad I got to introduce you both!" she smiles wide.

Ikiko Hisakata has posed:
Ikiko Hisakata smiles at Reiko, then gives Hoshi a big hug! "It was nice meeting you, Hoshi!" the older girl beams. "It's good to know that Reiko has another person who can blast Shades away!"

She carefully empties the box of chicken out so that the fox can finish up the last of the chicken without keeping the box itself preoccupied. "Ready to go when you are," she murmurs to the hungry fox.

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
She's surprised, but Hoshi returns the unexpected hug anyway. "I'll do my best." She promises, and then takes her box back, closing the lid on it to keep the remaining juices from dirtying her bag. "Let's go." She agrees."
