Ami Mizuno has posed:
Tap-tap-tap. The sound of Ami's pencil striking her notebook is about the only thing that can be heard in the small room in the clinic. That and the regular sound of Usagi shifting while she's breathing. It's early morning, and the windows are closed, keeping out the chill air rolling in off the bay. The lights are dimmed, making reading hard, but Ami doesn't seem to be reading what she's been writing anyways. The blue-haired senshi sits quietly in a chair at Usagi's side, just as she's done all morning. Much as she'd love to find out that Usagi is alright from the girl's mouth, she's already read the charts. She knows Usagi's condition as well as the doctors do, at this point; probably better than Usagi could judge for herself. Still ...

... Ami lets out a soft sigh and looks back down at the page in the dim light. "What are you?" she asks quietly of her notes, then frowns and goes back to her quiet contemplation. She raises her eyes to study Usagi, then smiles just faintly at her friend. Some small part of her worries that she wasn't there to protect Usagi. Most of her, however, has already put that childish worry aside; she cannot be everywhere Usagi is. If Luna had known she was needed, she would have told Ami to show up. If there had been time for Usagi to contact her, she would have. Sometimes, the Senshi were going to get into fights without one another; perhaps even hurt without one another. That's just the way it was going to be.

Quietly, Ami leans forward, reaching into her backpack to pull out a small tablet computer. She flips it open and turns on the screen, adding to the glow in the room. For the twelfth time this morning, she enters a search into the internet: 'Magical healing powers'. The research continues.

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Usagi dreams, has nightmares, and dreams again.

Right now, she is having a bizarre nightmare.

Kyouko-san is tap-dancing, the rhythmic tap-a-tap pausing only so she can pose with her evil spear, which is also a giant carrot.

Usagi is, of course, already stabbed. But, since this is a dream, she's just clutching her tummy as she watches Kyouko-san stab more and more people who come in the room.

First, of course, is Tuxedo Kamen. Then Mamoru, because it's his apartment. Then Luna. Then her girls. Then Artemis. Soon, it's a stabbing of everyone she's ever met, and there are unconscious stabbed people with cartoonish x's for eyes.

Stabbed Mercury is sitting beside her, though, so a bit of the scary is taken away. She is poking fingers on a tablet, humming in thought, and peering at Kyouko-san. "Perhaps the carrot is to improve the eyesight of the people she stabs?"

"My eyesight's fine!"

This, of course, is out loud. This isn't what wakes her. What does is the slight pull in her tummy when her arms flail.

It takes her a moment to realize where she is, since the room is very much lacking in both pink and bunnies. And she is almost afraid, because this is a strange, new place, but she sees Ami-chan. Yay, just like in her dream!

With a sleepy, possibly half-drugged smile, her hand flops over to pet Ami's hair. "Amiiiii. I love yoooou."

Ami Mizuno has posed:
"Eyesight?" Ami asks at half a mumble, but then sits suddenly stock-still when Usagi's hand reaches for her hair. She blinks at the bunny-girl, then smiles at her fondly. "I love you, too, Usagi-chan," she agrees quietly, reaching up to gently take Usagi's hand in her own.

Ami closes her tablet and set it aside, then draws Usagi's hand downwards so she can clutch it in both of her own. Without looking too suspicious about it, she checks Usagi's pulse with her fingers, even as she continues to engage the girl in conversation. "How are you feeling? Your chart says there was no infection, and that you should make a full recovery, but ... are you feeling alright?"

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Usagi is, of course, unaware of the pulse check. Ami's hands feel like they're touching her from a million miles away.

"Feel?" She tries to think about that. How does she feel? "Floaty. Fuzzy. I think I ate too much because my tummy hu--"

She jerks upright in bed, because she remembers things. "Ow."

Still, she is looking around in a half panic. Or full blown. Or will be in about five seconds. She is looking around the room with frantic eyes.

"Where is he? Is he okay? Did she stab him, too?"

She wants to cry because she's afraid and panicked and the drugs don't help. So she does.

"I bled on Mamoru-kun's floor! What if it stains!"

Ami Mizuno has posed:
"Usagi-chan!" Ami says, admonition and worry both in her tone. She gently, but firmly, touches both of Usagi's shoulders, insistently pushing the girl back down. "You should not move so fast; you shou--"

Oh dear, Usagi's crying again. Ami doesn't immediately respond with words, but she does put her arms around the blonde, hugging her gently. After a moment, she says, "Chiba-san is fine. Rei said he was injured, as well, but not stabbed. Bloodstains can be cleaned out with a little bit of bleach. Don't worry, Usagi-chan, everything is alright."

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Usagi is still very confused, but she is in a hug and hugs make things better. At least for the moment. So she relaxes and listens to Ami-chan's voice. She's always so logical. She knows things! All of the things! If Ami-chan believes there won't be a stain, then there won't be a stain. (Logic!)

She's still crying, but that's mostly just eye leaking than actual tears.

She pats her hands on Ami's back. "You're so pretty."

She really is! Pretty brains, pretty face!

Ami Mizuno has posed:
Ami blushes a small amount at Usagi's compliment, but doesn't grace it with a reply. Instead, she squeezes Usagi gently, then encourages her to lay back down. "You should lie down," she says gently. "You could aggravate your wounds, and then you'd have to stay here in the clinic longer. They won't allow Mako-chan to cook for you here, and I think she would dearly like to do so. So you need to rest and take it easy so you can get out of here sooner, alright?" Placing her fingers on Usagi's forehead, Ami checks for fever. Finding none, she nods with satisfaction.

And satisfied that her friend really is improving, she finally returns to her own curiosities. "Usagi-chan, do you remember what happened after you were injured? Rei said that Chiba-san healed you ... do you know what she meant?"

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Mako-chan food!

Usagi lies back down, scrunching her shoulders against her pillow. She is also a bit worried now.

Lifting her shirt, she reveals the still jagged but quickly healing wound on her tummy. "Does it look angry at me?"

With her shirt settled around her wibs, she tabs her fingers against her sides as she thinks.

"Mamo-chan had very sad eyes." She is being Helpful. Also, she is still drugged enough to not really notice what she calls him. "His hand was very warm and I felt all glowy and floaty."

Ami Mizuno has posed:
The opportunity to inspect Usagi's wound does not escape Ami. She leans forward to very gently touch Usagi's stomach with a finger, studying her injury like it were the most important thing in the world. "No, I don't think it looks angry," she replies, more thoughtful than really answering Usagi's question. As if she had different expectations for what a stab-wound should look like.

"His hand was warm?" Ami asks, looking up at Usagi curiously. "How warm? Was it hot?" she asks, then reaches for her tablet once more. "You felt glowy; was it your body that was glowing? Or was it his hand? Do you recall a colour or how bright it was?"

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
"Oh, good." She pulls the shirt back over her midriff. She hopes it stays unangry at her. That would be...scary.

How warm?

Her eyebrows screw in concentration. "Ummm...normally he's...safe-warm? But that was like...hot-hot soup when you're sick warm? No...pile of blankets in winter warm? Both?" She sighs as she tries to think more. "I think there was a glow. It was dark but I saw his face, so?"

She shrugs. "He told me I was going to be okay, and I believed him."

Ami Mizuno has posed:
"And he was right," Ami replies qauietly to Usagi gently. "You are okay, and you will be even more okay if you rest a little more." She smiles at Usagi, then says, "Why don't you go back to sleep. I will sit here a few more hours with you; at least until one of the other girls comes by to see you." Meanwhile, she's already refining her search on magical healing to include light and warmth as indicators.

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Of course he was. Even in the times of Jerkdom, if he had said things would be okay, she believed him. Just as she believes Ami.

"Okay." She settles back. "He always looks sad. He needs more hugs."

SHE WILL GIVE THEM TO HIM!

"Ami-chan, if you need hugs, I'll aaaaalways give them to you. Always, always." And she drifts.
