Talk:Kunzite/The Conspiracy
On the afternoon of his sixth birthday, the boy who would become Mamoru Chiba was promised by the man and woman who took care of him that on that very day he would meet the first of his Shitennou again.
On that same day, Kazuo Takeba was due at an appointment to enter a school interested ostensibly in research on certain of his -- problems.
A storm came. Brakes failed. Both boys landed in separate hospitals.
Mamoru Chiba remembered nothing, and there was no-one left to come for him.
Kazuo Takeba remembered the school, but there was no word from the place again; attempts to contact it failed, and when he went there, the school itself was missing, and only a strange house was left, one that no-one else seemed to enter or even be able to perceive.
Eleven years later, the Senshi found the entrance to Jadeite's palace beneath that house.
Questions remain: what happened? Were there only two people entrusted with the knowledge of the reborn Prince of the Earth and his guardians? If there were, why did they both risk the same trip? If there were not, why did the others never take a hand?
Who were they to begin with?
How did they know about the Prince, and the Shitennou, and the Palaces?
Was it only chance that the brakes failed?
(And when a certain girl's parents died, years later -- was that only chance, too?)
