Youma

Tokyo, and in particular the Three Wards of Tokyo, is a very dangerous place; while Magical Girls patrol the city and save lives, in equal parts the diabolic influence of Darkness spreads through the city, and malevolent forces seek to bring harm.

Tokyo is a city somewhat infested by monsters - by youma. Youma are the equivalent to a Monster of the Week for a serial magical girl show, and they're how many of the forces of Darkness do their dirty work. Each form of Youma often takes different shapes and forms, and hails from a different theme. Many of them are available to be run as enemies by anyone, rather than only by whoever owns a villain charbit from the theme. (Indeed, not all themes have youma, or have a general directing youma!)

Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon

Denziens of the Dark Kingdom: Not every monster of the week need serve one of Beryl's generals directly; the mass of courtiers that makes up the Dark Kingdom may choose to seek out thier own glory by defeating a hero of justice or gathering energy for Metallia. These will often take up the forms of humanoid enemies, and can be run by anyone with a good concept for one.

Smile! Pretty Cure!

Akanbe: Akanbe are the footsoldiers of the Bad End Kingdom, and are created when a Akanbe Nose is used on an otherwise inanimate object, becoming a thematic, clown like version of that object. While in the show every Akanbe is created using a Cure Decor (and thus awards it to the Cures upon defeat) this is not true on M2; any Akanbe which is going to drop a Cure Decor on defeat needs to be cleared with Staff (so we can manage the Cure Decor progression.)

Puella Magi Madoka Magica

Witch/Familiar: Witches, curses given life, and their companions, the Familiars, are some of the most dangerous Youma a magical girl can encounter. Witches lurk within Labyrinths - twisted places of no space, with unknowable architecture and dangerous obstacles, twisted versions of reality. Within lie the witches; creatures that are distinctly wrong, and the arch-nemesis of all Puella Magi. By the same token, however, Puella Magi need to hunt witches to live, and they will actively seek out and destroy them, leaving them somewhat relatively rare. However, one does not need Staff permission to run a witch.

MahouMUSH Original

Retriever: Retrievers are universally composed of dark energy and generally resemble fantastic, magical 'dire' versions of thier core animal. Third Generation retrivers seek to acquire magical artifacts of any type (including henshin items!) or magical heroes, or failing that, interesting test subjects - and bring them back. They are the most intelligent, but they're still only very smart animals. Second and First generation Retrievers follow the same visual guide as their kin, but are animalistic, uncontrolled - in short, they work very much like any normal 'generic' youma; they exist to survive, to destroy the Light.%r%rRetrievers are created as negative energy at their very core and look it - there's no way someone could mistake them for a normal animal or something that needs healing. Permission is not needed to run a retriver. See also +bbread 1/9 and 18/10.
