Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
There was yelling. Lots of Yella. Haruna Kurosawa stampped her foot on the ground at that big gate leading into Verone. "Hey...! Let me in! I need to find Katsu-chan!" she insists loudly. The guard seems tired of dealing with this. "I said no pets allowed.". Haruna takes offense at this. "Corvus isn't a pet! he's a friend!" she says crossing her arms.

Corvus, the silver raven on her should merely hid his face behind a wing and shook his head.

"You'll be sorry!" yells Haruna as she stamps her foot and begins to walk off. Oh. The Game Crown is right over there! Is it time for delicious desserts and games!? Yes! It is!

So Haruna begins to cross the road and then dissapears halfway across the steet.

She walks into a strange, strange world where there are peppermint sticks and photorealistic cutouts of Ice Cream and candy cane terlises and tiny peppermint creatures scurrying around like delicious spiders.

"Eh!? What happened? This place is creepy. Corvus-Chan what is this!?" says Haruna.

Corvus paused. "I'm not sure Haruna. This place just...feels wrong. It's making me tingly all over like a Terribad, but... it's all over." he says as he wraps his arms around his bird like form. "A little chilly...". Haruna continues walking into the witches barrier. She's never encountered something like this before!

Meanwhile. Kazue Yamamoto can easily sense the witch in the area, and Haruna hasn't gotten too far from the entrance into the barrier.

Kazue had been taking the scenic route home in an attempt to track Witches since that pink-eyed demon spawn Kyubey gave her a visit. For an entire week, she had been oblivious to the fact that her Soul Gem would slowly become more and more tainted each day unless she purifies it with a Grief Seed. Upon learning this information from said demonspawn TODAY, Kazue proceeded to throw the little monster out the window and begin her hunt before, during and after school with incredible discoveries. Besides her uncanny ability to play anything she that's put in front of her, Kazue can manipulate sounds and redirect them towards her! And that means she can actually hear stuff she cares about during class!

Heraranormal encounters and occult activity have become some of the many things she's been keeping an ear open for during her witch-hunt, since she refrained to ask Kyubey what these strange beings she is hunting truly are.

Kazue's expectations are blown out of the water and blasted into millions of pieces when she passes by Verone Academy that day.

Her intense (and kind of creepy) focus on the conversations of the nearby pedestrians using her sound manipulation is interrupted by Haruna as she demands to pass through the gates of the school. Nothing strikes Kazue as odd about the girl, but that strange bird on her shoulder makes her stop, and she watches on with curiosity as the the girl across the street...

And disappear into thin air.

Suddenly, an intense feeling of dread begins to assault her.
"Th-that mustn't been a witch!" Kazue says, as she immediately sprints to Haruna's direction, blindly extending a hand forward in an attempt to tackle her mistaken target. The quickly distorting sights and sounds, as well as the distressed screams coming from beyond the threshold of the Witch's barrier do little to deter the fledgling Puella Magi from her goal, believing it as nothing more than an illusion made by Haruna.

Haruna Kurosawa was fighting that secrutiy super hard and was grumbling about it before dissapearing.

Kazue runs after Haruna! As Haruna talks to Corvus, Kazue bursts through and crashes into her, turning into a tumblefest on the weird squishy sweet ground of the witch's labyrinth.

"H..hey?" asks Haruna as she's tumbled into. Corvus kind of flys into the air and hovers. "Woah, hey!" says the bird. "What's that about?" he asks. Haruna crawls out away from Kazue and stands back up. She offers a hand up...

"Hey... are you okay. This place is strange! But my raven friend here says it's really bad. So there's gotta be something bad here I think!" she says.

"Also I dunno what the peppermit spiders are about...."

Said weird spiders are massing down the hallway now! This can't be good. These things seem to be the Witches' familars here.

"Alright. I think this trouble so.. uh!"

She crosses her arms in front of her---one hand holding a set of three cards, and another a mirrored compact. "Time to change~!" she calls out, shoving the cards into the top of the mirror. "Rollin' Mirror Changing...!" She spins the tiny mirroed ball on the compact, and there's a flash of green light, a transformation happening.

"The wings of hope that fly across the Sea.... Cure Gull!" she calls out, making a silly pose with two of her hands being 'wings' like someone might make a bird shadow puppet with. Then she pauses.

She turns around and smiles. "Um. Why did you follow me in here. Were you worried about me?" she asks.

The mass of spiders are now headed down the weird corridor at them.

She pauses. "Um. Do you need me to protect you from these things?" she asks sheepishly.

Kazue Yamamoto has posed:
Kazue, whose hoodie flapped off during the assault, tries to keep a stern face after tackling Haruna, but her serious facade turns into an embarrased scowl and an averted eye upon looking the girl in those blue eyes of hers and seeing something familiar to herself in them. The fact that they haven't attacked her is also quite reassuring, but Kazue remains cautious and gets up from the sugary floor by herself, pretending she hadn't seen Haruna's hand.

"Uh... Sorry about that," Kazue replies, brushing sugar dust off of her pants. "I thought you were... someone else." Kazue's face begins to turn red as her target begins to ask if she is alright... She looks away and mutters some assurance that she is fine, but before she can finish, the spiders begin to advance at their position!

Kazue watches in awe as Haruna begins to change before her eyes, and amidst the feeling of immediate danger from the peppermint spiders is also the crushing embarrassment that she might have attacked one of her own.
"Okay, I'm really sorry," Kazue hastily apologizes, "I thought you were the Witch causing all this!"

Kazue gives an aggrivated sigh through gritted teeth as she sees peppermint spiders begin pouring out of the corridor ahead. Glancing at Haruna, and unsure if she can actually protect herself, she puts her right arm shakily in front of her.

"Time to Change!" Kazue says, attempting to mimic Haruna's unbridled confidence.

Suddenly, her Soul Gem begins to burst to life, and Kazue is engulfed in an emerald ball of light, which immediately takes form around her body to replace her old clothes. Replacing her black hoodie is now a light green tunic, laced at the collar and bound at the wrists with blue strings. The plumed sleeves of the shirt appear to burst free from the restraints at the wrists, and puff out near her palms. A blue belt materializes around her waist, and keeps the tunic in place as it extends down in a skirtlike fashion over her thighs. Emerging from the green light surrounding Kazue's legs are a set of green tights, lined with red pinstripes.

A pair of dark green poulaines of leather, with a subtle upward curve at the end and a dark blue strap on its sides appear on her feet, and A vibrant scarlet set of frills burst from the sides of her collar.

Finally, upon Kazue's forehead appears her Soul Gem: A circular gem embedded in her skin with a silver outline and a small hole in the center where her skin shows. Down the gem's right side is a vertical indentation that cuts a fraction of the circle off from the rest.

Kazue grins madly, awakening from her transformation in the same position she was before her change with an energy and confidence she never knew she had before. She almost screams at Haruna,
"I can take care of myself!"

Kazue says that she thought Haruna was a witch. She makes a sudden !? Expression of confusion and shame. "A Witch!? I was never witch....!" she insists. Corvus sighs and lands back down on Gull's shoulder.

She was 'A witch' before. Just not the Puella Magi Enemy. Kazue isn't anyone she knows, so she doesn't have to explain anything. Gull turns back around as the bow on her back explode into two glowing Seafoam green wings. She hovers up off the ground and floats forward.

"Corvus... um. Can you try to pinpoint stuff?" she asks. Corvus nods. "Is it down this corridor?"

Corvus pauses. "Maybe?" Haruna sighs. Ugh. Terribads and KindaBads are easier than. Whatever this is.

Oh. Right Creepy spiders. She grins and looks back at Kazue...who transformed with...

"Oh... you're magical!? Neat!" she says. She shoots down the hallway and stops as she begins to throw powergusts of wind and seagull feathers into the air to blow the spiders away.

"Let's go...um. Get outta here!" she says.

Kazue Yamamoto has posed:
"Witches are the things we fight, right?! You ARE a Magical Girl, right?!" Kazue gives a confused look at Haruna as she dashes down the hallway, blasting Familiars left and right.

Kazue follows suit, instinctually jumping head-on into the swarm of minty arachnids with her hands balled into fists and put together as if to hold a sword. A beam of green light bursts from the Gem on Kazue's forehead and an echo of harmonious guitar chords sound as a red lute guitar of ornate design materializes in Kazue's hands!

The first Familiar she sees is immediately clubbed by the rounded backside of her guitar, which upon close inspection is actually covered in painful looking spikes!

"We need to find the Witch who made this place! Kazue exclaims, hearing distant screams from further in the Labrynth. "If we don't she might kill someone with these spider things!"

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Cure Gull blinks as she fires wind and feathers...."I'm a magical girl...but...." she seems to ponder. "Oh...!?" she says. "I'm a Pretty Cure!" she says softly. "I fight the Phantom Empire from trying to plunge Earth into misfortune she proudly excliams. "You fight...Witches. I was told about girls who fight witches for... uh. Seeds?" she says. Not quite remember what the leader of Virtue told her about them.

"Are you one of those?" she asks as she turns back around. Something big and fast just moved ahead in the corridor. She head tilts. "What was that?...." she asks. Corvus looks surprised. "Woah....! That was one hella a spike, Gull. She huffs...

"Well...I know those seeds are important for you guys. I was told that! So. Let's get you one!" she beams happily.

Oh, then some sort of gigantic candy cane worm with wide crazy eyes lunges out from the darkness of the corridor and grabs Gull's leg.

"EKKKKK!" she begins blasting her wings backwards. This stops her from being consumed... and it doesn't seem her foot is being bitten off.

"AH! GET OFFA ME!" she cries out.

This has gotta be the Witch!

Kazue Yamamoto has posed:
Kazue thinks she understands what Cure Gull is saying, but now she's got questions of her own for Kyubey... That, however, will have to wait, as a huge figure exposes itself momentarily before hiding once again amonst the putrid confection. The feeling of dread Kazue was sensing from the Barrier has returned in full force! Kazue tries to acknowledge Gull's kind support in Kazue's aquisition of the Grief Seed, but before she can, Gull is snatched by the Witch!

Kazue lunges toward the beast, ready to smash it to pieces, but the beast reveals it's tail and deflects the attack! Kazue is sent reeling towards the weblike walls of cotton candy in the hall, and sticks immediately. Kazue quickly remembers her magic, and pulls an arm free from the clutch of the wall, forming a concentrated disk of sound, which she throws at the Witch! The disk explodes and an ear-wrenching crash causes the beast to writhe in pain and release Gull.

Kazue frees herself from the wall and jumps towards Gull's location, allowing her to get her bearings before saying, "I don't think we can take that thing on by ourselves. We're gonna have to work together to kill it!"

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Cure Gull is released and jumps back near Kazue. She huffs..."You're right! I'm going to try to throw something powerful at it.... and you do at the same time...okay!?" she asks. She smiles. "Let's do it now!" she says.

She holds out her hand forward...."Wing's of hope..... turn into a sacred power....!" she calls out as she holds her arm out and brings her PreBrace--- a heart shaped contratipon on her arm up to bare. "Lovely PreBrace!" she calls out---it glows Seafoam green. "Pretty Cure....!" she claps the heart---- and then begins to spin her hands around one another building up energy. "Hopeful Feather Shoot!" she calls out, generating a feathery set of wings in the air that is seafoam green! She then turns around and punches it! (!?) at the Witch, sending it flying and spinning around.

"Come on~ Now you!" she calls out.

Kazue Yamamoto has posed:
Despite the chaos ensuing around her, when Cure Gull calls for her to begin the attack, Kazue is reminded of a song she heard when she was a kid that always used to get her excited!

The Witch is immediately suspended in the air as Kazue appears to conduct an entire orchestra of etherial instruments below it, forming a bubble of sound that holds it in place as the piece begins to reach it's crescendo! Kazue steps back from her place as the conductor and takes her guitar out once more to play a scintillating solo that's sound and energy reverberates within the magic instrument, as she slowly walks toward the cacophonous cucoon. She jumps high above the Witch and plunges downard with her weapon brandished, ending the song with a note that echoes throughout the Labrynth before the Witch disintigrates and the world of candy returns to the street the two were on previously.

Kazue drops back onto the street with her guitar over her shoulder and her eyes looking intently for the Witch's Grief Seed.
"How was that?" she asks as she glances towards Gull, impressed with herself that she felled her first Witch.

Gull has to keep her hand out as she keeps the attack up.... because it's blasting into the Witch and she's waiting on Kazue to throw in. When she does she finally poses. (Involuntarily, but that's partially what being a Pretty Cure is about! The poses and silly introductions, etc.) "Wings of Hope...Return to the Heavens!" she calls out. And there's a giant bright seafoam green explosion, ripping upwards....

And she lands down on the feet onto a sidewalk. She blinks.

"Ah...! We're out!" she says as the Witch's barrier fades away.

Corvus lands on Kazue's head and lowers down the Grief Seed in his beak. "Thish?" says Corvus- with a full mouth, offering it to Kazue.

Kazue Yamamoto has posed:
Kazue reaches out to Corvus to take the Grief Seed and gives her thanks to the bird for catching it. She immediately changes into her normal form and materializes her Emerald green Soul Gem, placing the two next to eachother with uncertainty as to what she must do next.

Luckily, the effect happens immediately as a large portion of the dark cloudy substance that covers the top of the Gem is sucked into the Seed in small clouds that are immediately lost within it's deathly black interior. She then has her Soul Gem disappear, confident that she has finally made progress in this new world of magic.

Kazue looks at Haruna and then up at Corvus with a look of gratitude on her face.
"I can't thank you enough for helping me... Both of you."
Kazue begins to fidget about as she pockets the Seed and says, "If, ah... If's it isn't any trouble, I'd like to keep in touch... Of course, I'd totally understand if you don't want to, since I kind of attacked you back there; It's just that I'm pretty new to all of this and..." Kazue trails off and puts her hands in her hoodie's pockets, waiting for an answer.

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Cure Gull head tilts, and remains Cure Gull. She beams! "Of course.... um...." she pulls out a weird seafoam green cellphone. She peeks at it. "....Kami-Sama said that this won't work with normal phones...." she says as she pockets the device, and then takes out her normal cellphone.

"Okay uh. What's your number....?"

Oh!

"Also, my name's Haruna Kurosama! But.. um. right now. I'm Cure Gull! So. Cure Gull. Right now. Please...~" she beams.

She lets her transformation pop away. And then holds out her hand for Corvus. "So Corvus.... Feel any PreCards?" she asks with wide eyes.

"No...sorry Gull." he says. "Not the right kinda dark energy."

"Awwwww." says Haruna.

She smiles at Kazue. "What's your name...?" she asks.

Kazue Yamamoto has posed:
"Oh, sorry; where are my manners?" Kazue says, still a bit flustered by this whole encounter. "I'm Kazue Yamamoto! Pleased to meet you." Kazue smiles and gives a polite nod of greeting to Haruna.
Kazue takes out her phone to get Haruna's number while she shares her own, and realizes she has missed calls from her parents! And it's actually really late!!
"Thanks again, Kurosama-san! I'll call you if I run into... Whatever it is you fight!" Kazue bids Haruna and her companion a hasty farewell and starts her trek home with lifted spirits.
