Suzu-chan: The Giftening.
Date of Scene: 29 December 2015
Location: Pikarigaoka - Seiyou Public School
Synopsis: Haruna and Aki give Suzuki thier Christmas gift over cookies and tea, drag her into an argument about Haruna's taste in crushes, girls and clothing.
Cast of Characters: Suzuki Natsume, Haruna Kurosawa

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa had walked into the tea garden one night and just setup shop. It was a safe space- and she wanted a safe space. Also. Suzuki Natsume was also a Virtue-ite so they were both allowed to be here. Haruna has brought /tea!/---

Okay, it's canned iced tea because Haruna stinks at making actual tea, but it'll work- this is totally classless but that's okay- it's not like she's a super high class girl--- yet.

She also has some cookies! The cookeis are also store bought- once again- classlessssss.

Haruna is texting someone- she's texted Suzuki earlier to ask her to join her.

Is Haruna alone!? Well nope. Aki Kurosawa is right there drinking tea and stuffing cookies into her face. Corvus is on her shoulder and also eating cookies.

Haruna smiles like a goofball and puts her phone away.

There's a box on the table. It's wraped in green paper with a red bow.

Suzuki Natsume has posed:
The other point is that Suzuki goes to /school/ at Seiyou, so there was a good chance she was around anyway. Though she didn't visit the tea garden often just because the tea garden was where /the guardians gathered/. And she went to school at Seiyou, so there was just a bit of reverence for the group, even if she could actively work with them anyway.

Suzuki's arrival was... well. It was like usual. Calm, quiet, and not really with any sort of flair or fanfare. But also still very friendly, a warm smile and bow of her head offered towards Haruna and Aki both. "Hello, you two. I hope you enjoyed your vacation, Aki." Suzuki says softly towards her.

She makes her way over to take a seat at the table with Aki and Haruna, carefully settled on the seat. "Is everything alright?" She asks softly, her gaze shifting mildly worriedly towards the two.

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa beams and grins. "Suzu-chan!~ Hello! Yes, I'm fine! How are you?~" she asks softly. Aki Kurosawa waves. "Eh, not much of a /vacation/, Natsume-san. Having to deal with the parents never is- but. Fuffiled that obligation." she smiles. "Made it back in time for the holiday at least." she says. Corvus wing waves, he's too busy eating to talk. Cookies are super important.

Haruna reaches up and pushes the box towards Suzuki. "Merry Christmas~ I know that you probably don't do it cuz your parents sound super traditional, but I did it anyways!" she beams.

Inside the box is a kimono-wrap charm that seems to be some quality twice, ending in deep green feathers, with white beads, and some star pendants. A note says 'I knew your parents might not approve of a hairclip so I made this to wear with your kimonos instead! I still have a hairclip idea for you thou if you want that!'.

"I mean the note too~" she beams.

"Do you like it? I can.. make you the hairclip too- I just... made some guesses..." she mutters.

Suzuki Natsume has posed:
Okay, the tone meant that Haruna hadn't called her for some sort of emergency, that was good! Or at least, Suzu thought it was. Maybe she was hiding it. But this was Haruna. Haruna didn't seem good at subtlety. "I can somewhat empathize with that viewpoint. From what Haruna told me, our situations are complete opposites. My family is in my life too much, while yours isn't in yours enough."

And then... the box is pushed towards Suzuki. She smiles as she looks down towards the present. "Ah, actually... I do christmas to a degree as well. My parents and I get KFC. I know, very normal, but that's fine. It's tasty." She says amusedly, carefully beginning to open the box, meticulously undoing the ribbon, and then undoing the tape in such a way as to cause the minimum amount of damage to the paper, before finally opening it. She smiles softly as she looks at the kimono wrap. "Ah, it's cute!"

She carefully examines each part of the present, methodically taking it in, thinking on what of her kimonos would go well with it. "I have one of my short kimonos that would go well with this, I think..." Suzu says cheerfully.

"Ah, uhm. My parents are okay with hair clips too! My hair is one of the few things they don't mind me doing very much with them." She says softly, thinking on things quietly.

Once the note was opened, Suzuki carefully reads it. Her smile growing soft, in that fond sort of way. She lifts her gaze towards Haruna. "Of course, Haruna. You're welcome. Merry christmas, even if it's a few days late." She says softly, carefully folding the note back up to slide back into the envelope. Hmm. Could she figure out a gift to give to Haruna as well? ... She's never had people to buy presents for, agh!

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa smiles! "I'll make you a hairclip, then too!" she beams. Aki is eating cookies and nodding and listening- until KFC is brought up and everyone sort of grows green and ill looking all that once.

"Ugh, I'm done with chicken for a bit. Maybe. Fricken... Dark Kingdom... turned chicken into a youma and it was greasy and Aki had to clean up all this mess in the dorm after and it was awful."

Then she taps her lip. "Oh... that's right..."

She mutters. "You know... the situation... with Chiba-kun, right?" she asks silently.

"He's alive." she nods matter of factly. "It was a trick--- we were tricked." she says, clenching her teeth a bit. "They-- got him and--- are.. winding him up like a tin soldier and turning him loose like--like they did to me and---" she's obviously getting agitated so Aki has to step in and frown a bit. "You can stop there, Haruna, I'm sure Suzuki's got the point." she smiles encouringly.

Haruna merely nods. "But-- Sailor Moon says-- he was there that night of the chicken thing."

Suzuki Natsume has posed:
"Only if you really want to, Haruna-chan... you don't have to, of course." Suzuki responds quietly. Is she blushing? Yes, yes she is. At least a little. She shifts quietly in place as she thinks. And then... that green and ill looking look.

"...I see. Well... that's... a bit... yes, I can't really blame you for that." Suzuki mumbles softly, wrinkling her nose. And then the mention of The Situation with Chiba-kun is brought up. At first, her face goes stony and serious. The mention of the trick though...

Her face seems to lighten up slightly. "Oh that's... that's... actually kind of... that's good." She says with a firm nod. "If he's just being controlled or tricked or whatever then he can be helped. And is much easier than bringing him back from the dead somehow." Suzuki says with another nod, looking thoughtful.

"Is it absolutely confirmed that it was him that night? ...Sailor moon is a bit distraught, so while I would love to trust her, there is always the chance that, well... she was seeing things a little bit ... well. Seeing what she wanted to see. Which was Prince Endymion."

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa nods. "Sailor Mercury confirmed that the thing that died that night wasn't Chiba-kun!" she says. "Not human ash... was like clay-something. Sailor Moon said he tasted like... a coffee cup. White-chan was sooooo mad! But-- she's happy now. I stayed with her a few days anyways..."

For obvious reasons.

Aki nods. "Haruna was distraught because she never got a chance to introduce me to him yet- and he was important to her for all the stuff that happened when I wasn't here." she says thoughtfully. "Sounds popular thou, if everyone got so upset..." she muses, tapping her bottom lip.

"So-- he's alive and--if the Dark Kingdom has him... well." she looks down. "I dun't think they take people unless they wanna use em for something. They came and took me because I was 'useful'. They think the world is thiers." she muttters.

"I think she really saw him. There was /someone/ there- and... it matches what I know-- they steal you, then you come back some sort of brainwashed mind slave." she mutters.

"I wish I knew more but that's all I know from my own experiences..." she mutters. She looks down and crosses her arms protectivley and seems to sink into herself a bit.

"...I feel so sick about this thou... I-- I don't want that to happen to anybody else ever again."

Suzuki Natsume has posed:
"That's good. So it's just clay, not human ashes. That also explains why purification killed him instead of purifying him." Suzuki says softly, leaning her elbows on the table, she interlaces her fingers and rests her chin on her hands thoughtfully. Hmmm. "That's good, I'm glad that you had fun with White-chan." She says quietly, "He is important in a lot of people's lives."

She tilts her gaze towards Aki, thinking quietly. "He is a good friend and reliable person for a lot of people. He's the reason why I am no longer working alone and endangering myself." Suzuki says softly, her eyes half-lidding thoughtfully. "Again, if the dark kingdom has him... that makes this easier, we just have to recapture him and remove the brainwashing." Suzuki says softly.

"Just like we did with you, we just need to help him. That's what friends and allies are for, after all." She says softly, her gaze shifting towards Haruna, watching her quietly as she listens. "...Haruna-chan, while it may still happen... since you are one who has been captured in the past..."

"Then you are someone who also knows how to help rescue him, since you've experienced it." She says softly.

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa huffs. "If someone told me about it earlier, I could had told you that! Purification never kills unless the being wasn't human or uncorrupted to begin with!" she huffs. "It's why we Pretty Cure use that stuff against Terribads---and Zakenna or Akanbe or-- any of those things without worrying about the people or things used in them!" she huffs. She looks down....

"No one saved me from the brainwashing. It broke when enough people hit me enough and after a rush of energy expelled itself from Corvus's tablet breaking in two.." she mutters.

"I think that should work but..." she sighs. "Who knows. It's different for everyone it seems." she says crossing her arms. Aki pats Haruna's shoulder and nods to Suzuki.

Aki speaks. "I still need to thank him for helping Haruna, regardless. I'm hoping my first introduction to him isn't needing to kick him in the face thou~" she grins.

Haruna just keeps her arms crossed... then looks up and blinks.

"Oh--- right. Suzu-chan, I should have you over and cook for you sometimes! I've been practicing!" she beams.

Suzuki Natsume has posed:
"That's good to know, actually. My abilities are obviously not purification, so I was unsure and did not know." Suzuki responds quietly towards Haruna, her eyes half-lidding thoughtfully. Hmmm. She carefully reaches to take the kimono wrap and begins to wrap it around her waist, in spite of the fact that she was not wearing a kimono at the moment. She didn't care at the moment. It was a gift, and it looked pretty enough.

"Well then! That makes it easy enough, I mean. Beating people up with lots and lots of energy is pretty much my specialty!" She says, flashing what passed as a grin for the reserved Suzuki. "Either way, we will likely have to defeat him to purify him, since brainwashed people rarely want to be saved."

She falls silent as Aki speaks, giving a small nod towards Aki with a soft chuckle. "Well, it might not be the worst way to meet him, all things considered. 'Hello, I'm Aki, I helped free you from mind control' is a pretty good way to break the ice, I think."

"You wish to cook for me? Hmm. If you would like, I will. And give you constructive criticism, so that you can cook better for White-chan later." Suzuki says with a little wink and slightly playful grin.

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Aki Kurosawa leans in with a grin. "Yeah... better for White-chan~." she says teasingly. Corvus grins from Aki's shoulder, also- wide and teasing. Haruna hrmphs and crosses her arms and just blushes as she looks away. Aki tsks, however. "I dunno what you see in that girl, Haruna. I'd had been fighting her non-stop if I was around." she says.

Haruna just frowns. "I'm not talking about that here... or... even at home! I already told you n'...I'm not repeating myself every month or even year on it." she says, looking down a bit, she does blush thou.

Aki leans towards Suzuki and stage whispers. "Did you know she liked this 'smouldering hot jerk' named Riventon before, too?" she asks, clearly intending to cause mischief.

Haruna blushes! "H-hey! None of that needs to be public knowledge!" she says pointing.

"But it's true!" says Corvus.

Haruna merely crosses her arms and hrmphs.

Suzuki Natsume has posed:
"I can say a lot of what anyone can see in White-chan, to be honest. I have fought her probably more than anyone directly." Suzuki says softly towards Aki. "Even if she is our enemy, and has views on things that I ... frankly... find... well, disagreeable. I can understand where she is coming from, but her approach is unpleasant." She takes a small breath. "But... she is reliable. She is loyal to her allies, and always acts in a way that she /thinks/ is best. It is likely something has corrupted her view of the world, but that is not because she is a bad person, but instead because she has grown up a different way." Suzuki says softly. "She is also very fun loving and protective. She has a lot of bad traits, but like everyone, she has just as many good traits, if not more. She is an enemy that I respect and will happily fight alongside when the situation allows it."

Haruna is given a bit of a look, "Though, to be honest, I am beginning to mildly wonder about your taste in crushes." Suzuki says, her tone mildly teasing. "...Riventon hasn't seemed the worst in the world from the time he kidnapped me. I was taken care of while in jail, at least." She pauses, frowning thoughtfully, "But. Hmmm..."

She shifts slightly, beginning to stand, stretching very slightly. "Still. These sorts of things are best... not aired." She says softly. "Who Haruna chooses to date or be in love with is honestly not my business." Suzuki smiles softly, ensuring her kimono wrap is tucked in properly to set in place. She steps towards Haruna, and reaches a hand to rest on her shoulder. "...And honestly, eventually... I believe that Miss White can be taught that her way of handling things is wrong. What she ultimately wants though... is a world free from the pain and suffering that 'weakness' causes. Which ... is not the worst thing in the world." She says softly. "And honestly, I have hope that Miss White will turn out to be one of the most virtuous of people in the end."

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa crosses her arms and mutters... "When I was... Scorn... Riventon was one of the boys I met there. He was... nice to me n' stuff. He was tasked with studying me' n' Corvus. I guess he is kind of a jerk-- which is why it wouldn't work out. But--- he's still. Kind of a ... friend...enemy... frenemy." she mutters.

"...White-chan was the first friend I ever made after Aki..." she mutters crossing her arms and seeming a little small. "...she was a good person and took care of me and checked on me and made sure I was okay a lot, and did things with me that had nothing to do with testing me n' junk--- not because someone told her too... n' when someone took me away she worked herself ragged looking for me." she says.

"Kinda silly since I've seen how she treats people who mess with Ao-chan... n' that's why she sought me out to begin with--- cuz I took Ao-chan's soul..." she mutters.

"...but she forgave me because I didn't put up a fight when she asked for it back." she says looking down.

Aki pats Haruna's other shoulder and sighs and just sort of shakes her head. "There's not much I can say here. I wasn't here and that's my fault. Well. Not my fault. But... eh. I over did it and that got me in trouble." she sighs.

Haruna slams a hand down on the table. "T--hat wasn't your fault!" she insists. She then blinks. "Ah--s--sorry." she mutters.

She just stands up and gives Suzuki-chan a tight hug. "Don't worry about getting me anything, by the way. Lots of people have gotten me stuff! And--- I never really had that many gifts for Christmas before!" she beams. "But--- you helped gimme my sister back and that's really all I could ask!" she smiles.

Aki nods matter of factly. "Haruna got me all the discography I missed from DARTS..." she smiles. "Two years, and it's like I missed everything ever." she grins.

Suzuki Natsume has posed:
"...Well, I suppose that not all jerks are actually /bad/ to be fair." Suzuki responds quietly to Haruna. "He's probably similar to White-chan to be honest. Not necessarily a bad person in the end, but just... handling things in a bad way." Suzu murmurs quietly and thoughtfully. She gives a small nod.

"...That sort of thin is why I believe with all of my heart that White-chan is a good person who is just confused on what is actually the best way to handle anything." Suzuki says with a smile towards Haruna, thinking silently for a few moments. Hmm.

Aki is given a small smile. "You cannot blame yourself for anything that happened while you were held against your will, Aki. Just be glad that you are free and able to help now; that is all that you can do." She nods firmly towards her, her arms lifting to wrap her arms around Haruna, returning the hug carefully.

"I will worry about what I wish to, Haruna-chan. If that is giving you a present, than that is what it shall be. At present, however, I am not ... worrying ... about much, more beginning to think on how best to rescue Chiba-san." She gives a small nod, her gaze shifting towards Aki. Hmm. "Two years is a long time. Many things change. I am certain you will adjust though; you seem to be already doing so thus far." She smiles softly. "...I should probably get home though. Homework and all of that nonsense."

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa softly nods and sighs a bit before her eyes light up! "Oh---w-wait..."

She says standing up. "I--erm..uh...asked.... White-chan. About. That. Thing..." she mutters, a severe blush filling her cheeks. "That---thing. We talked about. When Aki was away. The. Thing...!" she says.

Aki just head tilts, because she has NO idea what she's talking about, and Corvus also looks confused because he was off playing poker with other mascots!

"Erm--do you.. have any.. kimono.. suggestiobns....?" she mutters a bit with a hard blush.

"I know you messaged White-chan about it already!" she says. "She said... it would be romantic.. with a kimono... on some festival day..." she mutters.

Aki looks more confused. "Eh?" she asks.

Suzuki Natsume has posed:
Suzuki gives a /knowing/ smile towards Haruna, listening to her as she talks. "I see, so you did." Suzuki says, watching her silently, listening to her as she speaks. She tives a thoughtful noise as she crosses her arms over her chest, tapping her chin.

"Well, I think I can arrange something. In fact... yes. Okay! ...I'll set something up, and then send you a text when it's ready." Suzuki says with a firm nod. "Don't worry, if there's /one/ thing I can give you suggestions for, it's kimonos." Suzuki says softly. She lifts her hand to wave towards them. "Usually it's a yukata for festivals, buuuut... there's not that many differences anyway."

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa blushes. "Maybe... something casual too..for everyday wear...." she muses.

Aki and Corvus continue to remain clueless and Aki taps her chin some more. Corvus then blinks and his eyes light up and he whispers over to Aki's eyes light up and then Aki gasps scandlously!

"Haruna! Really!?" she says with a cross between teasing and shock on her face. Haruna blinks and blushes and leans forward. "No different then when you brought home that tank top for that date one time..." she mutters. Aki blinks and crosses her arms. "But I was older!" Aki insists. "Now we're both the same age!" Haruna huffs!

Aki just ughs and leans back.

"Besides.. Kimono's aren't a big issue and... are mostly conservative anyways. More so than... something else." Haruna says.

"Right Suzuki-chan!?" she asks. Yes, let's drag Suzuki-chan into this argument, Haruna thinks.

Suzuki Natsume has posed:
"... Okay? I mean... casual everyday wear sounds fine to me." Suzuki says, looking blankly at Corvus and Aki as they begin to talk. "...What." Suzuki blinks a few moments.

She looks between the two as it turns into what appears to be an argument over clothing. She kind of seems to zone out until someone comments 'Right Suzuki-chan!?' and then she blinks a few moments. "Uh, yeah, sure." She says with a helpless shrug. "Anyyyway, uh. Yes. I'll help you get some kimonos, and a few casual kimonos as well." She says with a small nod.

She smiles towards the two, before waving towards them. "Anyway, I really /should/ head home. Good night~." She says towards the two, beginning to gather her things to head home.

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa doesn't let Suzuki-chan leave without another tight hug. "You be well then, Suzu-chan! And---we'll all work together to figure out a way to save Chiba-kun!" she insists. "And---" she smiles. "Merry Christmas~" she beams again.

Aki smiles. "Merry Christmas~"

Corvus also adds. "Merry Gullmas." he insists.

"Christmas." Aki corrects.

"I am a seagull. Merry Gullmas." he insists.
