Cast of Characters: Haruna Kurosawa, Mikoto Nakajima

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa is off on a shopping trip, she needed a few things if she was going to hang out at Hannah's for the next few days and keep her company and her mood up from the horrribleness of the past week. She was also looking drained and tired. She had with her, one of those big brown bags full of groceries. She passes by the Cafe and slows down and takes a big whiff.

Then she realized she was hungry. Not starving. But hungry. She stepped up. Ordered, and placed her bag down on the tabletop as she peeked at her phone to see who was available to talk. Her phone landed on the work contact field and there was 'Miss Blue'. She blinks and taps her chin. 'You know....' she thinks.... '..she helped save your sister, and you haven't said a word to her since!'.

So she does. Tappity tap tap.

'Hey Miss Blue! I'm Haruna Kurosawa--- Cure Gull! I work with White-chan~ Rememeber! I'm eating at the Tako Cafe in front of the theme park. Did you want to join me? My treat!' she texts.

Then she goes to shove a ball of Takoyaki into her mouth.

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
%Mikoto was out shopping herself, picking up a new outfit and a few things for a school project. She's had a bit of a talking-to from Certain Parties, and she needs to at least pretend to care about it for a while. Long enough to pick her grades back up, at least. It's a good thing that math has been easier since she started working with Carnwennan, and the Device can help her remember all sorts of unimportant trivia for History and such, too.

((You have a text message from Haruna Kurosawa, Meister. And your history essay is due Tuesday.))

"Blah... so many more important things to do," she mutters, taking out her cellphone to read the message. Since she's in public, she actually types out her response, rather than just having her Device do it for her. 'Hey, cool. Am in the area, wlll be there in a few.'

Hitting 'send', she goes looking for a quiet place to transform... and once done so, she heads out. She isn't far away at all, and since Ms Blue's Barrier Jacket looks rather ordinary (a well-tailored blue suit isn't an unusual thing to see on the streets of Tokyo, compared to, say, Fate's), she just walks on in and looks around briefly for Haruna, then takes a seat across from her. "Thanks for the invitation, Kurosawa-san."

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa is just the perfectly normal Haruna Kurosawa. Really, there's no point in hiding your ID when a bunch of evil already knows it and the people close to you know who you are already- it's inconvient for her to try to keep up some charade that serves to just make her look silly.

Well except for the awesome seafoam green bussiness suit. She isn't currently wearing that. Corvus also isn't with her. Corvus is off with Aki somewhere probably. She smiles and waves. "Hello Blue-san~" she says. "Um... a moment." she gets up. Walks up to the truck. Pays, walks back with a box of Takoyaki she offers to Miss Blue.

"You helped me save my sister and I haven't even...said hello or anything since and I feel really bad about that and I've been thinking a lot due to recent stuff." she says softly.

"So..thank you." she says softly giving a bow.

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Mikoto looks down at the box, then back up at Haruna. She's been replaying that day in her head at least once a night ever since. Part of her trying to figure out how they could have done it better. Part of her seeing all the ways it could have been wrong.

She doesn't, quite, burst into tears. But she might like to. It isn't often that someone shows her they care about what she's done. So she opens the box and takes a whiff, and lets her trademark smile creep back onto her face. "I... it was an honor to be there, really. I just wish we could have gotten more of them out of there... there were so many..."

She shakes her head. She's been trying to force herself not to dwell on it, and recent events have helped, getting her to pay more attention to Ikuto's problems, the White Flower, and so on. But it's still been at the foreground of her thoughts for quite some time since that day.

"How... how is she? Is she alright, after.... all that?"

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa shakes her head. "You couldn't. Not yet. I was only able to save Aki because of my connection to her..." she mutters and looks down. "I'm sorry. I know that was trying. It was for everyone." she says quietly. She does look back up thou. She has to keep her head up. It's done and over afterall.

She smiles. "Aki is well. She doesn't remember anything of her time there. From her point of view she said bye to me two years ago, went to go help setup a dance at the school I used to go to before that is where Infinity is now, a fire happened--- then she woke up in bed and it's two years later. She said she felt 'uncomfortable' for a bit sleeping after, but that's passed. I guess I might feel weird about sleeping after effectivly 'sleeping and having a nightmare' for two years straight..." she smiles good naturedly.

"There was no long term effects from it, besides the obvious...."

"...when Aki last saw me, I was shy, kept to myself. Aki was my only friend." she says. "..and when she suddenly woke up 'the next day' from her angle... I was two years older, odd and talkative and had lots of friends from all over!" she says. "She's happy- but she's had to adjust because she missed a lot of things, and had plans to help me and I've changed a lot. She doesn't approve of me working for and dating Miss White, for example... or tried to date an evil jerk or sometimes talks to the evil jerk civilly instead of in 'justice speeches' all the time..." she mutters.

"But that's my choice!" she insists. "And I love my sister but she doesn't get to boss me around just because she's back from the dead!" she says crossing her arms comically.

"But yes, she's okay Blue-san!~" she says.

"She's just grumpy!" she insists. "Really grumpy about some stuff!" she beams.

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
A sigh. "At least she's well," Blue murmurs. "She just needs to adjust, to understand what you've been through since she was - taken." Another sigh, and she looks down again. She picks up one of the fried octopus balls, rolls it over in her hand, and sets it back down.

"It just burns me, down in my heart, to leave so many of them behind like that. I've been going over and over all the data I could get from scanning things there... and I just can't see anything I could do. I was hoping Hannah would have more data... or you could tell me about how you got Aki out... but..."

She shakes her head. "I refuse to believe it's impossible. There must be something." Almost viciously, she chomps a bite out of the ball, chewing heartily and swallowing.

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa looks down, then back up. "What I'm about to tell you is a little secret. I'm telling you, because you helped out and I owe you..." she says.

"Us Pretty Cure, at least-- the 'Group' I belong to, got our powers from a deity named 'Blue'. He's one of the guardian deities of Earth. He's effectivly a god. You will hear me sometimes say 'Kami-sama' and this is who I am talking about when I say that." she says.

"Kami-sama said that what we did was 'impossible'. No one knew where Phantom was hiding and-- we knew what he was doing. Even the idea that 'I might be able to pull Aki out of that' was just a conjecture from him. I know this sounds really silly, but gods don't seem any more infallible as you and me..." she giggles.

"I don't think it's 'impossible' to save all those Pretty Cure from the Precure Hunter. But it's probably going to be difficult. You saw how hopeless that battle was. Any place the Phantom Empire controls is just... a dead zone." she says flatly.

"I know that, Mercury----" oh! "Oh, you know who Miss White actually is? Okay I can just call her Hannah-chan now." she beams. "Hannah-chan and you can all figure it out. I'm not a researcher. I fight things!" she says. "--but. I know very little about nothing except what I've been told or experienced." she says.

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Another bite of the takoyaki is put away while she listens to you, probably having her Device record every word, just in case here's a hint she can put to use. "And I'll definitely be talking with them, as soon as I get the opportunity. It's just that everyone's been so busy of late, I haven't had the chance, you know?"

It isn't like she hasn't been busy herself. Mostly with chasing after a certain stubborn cat-boy. At least she actually seems to like him, and they seem to get along. Most of the time.

"I want you to know, Kurosawa-san, that when the time comes to try this again, to take that Phantom down once and for all, I will be there, even if I have to hire a necromancer to drag me out of the grave to do it."

She picks up another takoyaki and turns it around, again. "I'm a fighter, too, you know. Not much of a scientist. That's Hannah's and Mercury-san's game. I can run numbers, come up with ideas... but I'm just beating my head against a wall. That's why I agreed to work with her. Because I need that knowledge, that genius."

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa nods. "You're a um.. 'Intelligent Device' user like her, right? You guys all seem smart. Heck, I only caught onto the term 'Intelligent Device' recently- I just called them 'Talky Weapons'." she giggles a little to herself. "You can probably learn what she can do better than I can. I just excell at fighting and sometimes causing mischief with a PreCard change-up." she says.

She looks down. "Phantom isn't the problem. It's Queen Mirage. She's the leader. We could probably defeat Phantom and that wouldn't free anyone yet- though it might stop /more/ Pretty Cure from ending up there- and even that's a guess. Even Phantom feels like... he's being used- like.. what he's doing isn't his fault. Cure Victory and I agree on that... but there's nothing we can say that phazes Phantom enough to say anything except how much he hates us all and wants to trap us for 'Mirage-sama's' sake." she mutters.

"I wonder what she has against Pretty Cure anyways!" she huffs.

"Did one tip over her glass of juice when she was little by accident or something!?" she asks with a comical little sigh.

"I know... I'm being silly. It's been a bad week." she says softly.

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Mikoto reaches across the table, hand briefly clasping Haruna's, before she settles back. "You have every right to be silly," she insists, "It's all about what it takes for you to get up and face another day of... of all this."

She's heard about Mamoru's death, of course, but she really doesn't know how popular or influential he was, how many people were devastated by the loss. So she doesn't immediately connect Haruna's issues to that particular bad news.

"I think it's important for us to remember, all these creatures we fight... that some of them are people, too. That they might well ... regret, wish to do things differently." Ikuto, for example. "Erin chose to step away from the White Flower, to find her own path in the light once again. We gave her that chance, and she took it. Maybe... maybe we just need to find the right way to do the same for this Phantom, and... and we can..."

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa shakes her head. "He's corrupted. That needs to be handled first. Without the fuzz.... you think clearer I...." she looks down. "Being full of power like that. It fuzzes your head. It dulls positive feelings that you need to go to an extremes to just feel something basic like 'Happy'... You think bad things and it feels /comfortable/ to think that. It's most likely different for everyone I guess- we all want different things I guess- and it depends- but.. for me. That's how like what it was." she says.

She looks down. "If Phantom can be saved... Pretty Cures aren't about to just 'end' him. I can promise you that. He might had done... terrible things to us! But...."

"I don't know any Pretty Cure that wouldn't try to save him if he can be."

"Everyone.. deserves a chance. You know? To be happy and free and allowed to be themselves. Even jerks and bad people."

She says with a series of nods.

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Ms Blue finishes off another bit of the snack while she listens, paying close attention. Something about Haruna's description of the effects of dark power... well. She's been feeling sharpish, short-tempered and such, the last few days, ever since Tessen's fight with Takashi... maybe this would explain why.

"I... I understand, I think. Thank you." She's glad to have the explanation, at least. "We still have to find a way to get through to him... that's always been the case. Not just with him..." She shrugs. "You know how it goes. We need to understand more, about why he chooses to follow her... that's what helped with Erin. Showing her that she didn't have to be afraid of us, or of Shiroi..."

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa nods. "He's not really at the forefront of my mind really right now." she looks down. "Honestly. I just talked because you wanted to know." she says softly.

She has been eating this whole time in between pauses. She smiles.

"I'm glad that whole mess was sorted out!" she beams.

She yawns. "Okay... Miss Blue. I had to get some things because I'm staying at Hannah-chan's for a bit and she's out of some staples to cook for her. I'm going to have to go now." she smiles and picks up her bag of groceries. "Are you going to be okay?" she asks.

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
"I... yeah, I'll be okay. I just needed to get some perspective, I think."

She looks Haruna in the eye, for a long moment, and manages to smile a little bit wider. "I've been kind of freaking out over it all, the past couple of weeks... kept telling myself, if I pushed a little harder, went over it again, got the scans from Hannah's Device... I could find something." She does look a little tired, come to think of it. But relieved, now, too. Relaxing, maybe for the first time in days.

"Thank you for sharing all that with me. I've got a lot to think about... and some priorities to rearrange."
