Crescent SkyBeam Explosion

Synopsis:	Crescent SkyBeam Explosion #2 - Sailor V blows up the sky with Firebird, meets Stardust Witch Meruru, and accidentally kill a bird

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V is out in the area near the bad part of town, but juuuust far enough away she can claim she's out for late-night snacks at a convenience store if somebody sees her.

Ostensibly, she's out 'doing her job', but it's a slow night. So she does what she always does when things get boring:

Ignore Artemis' complaints, point to the sky, ignore Artemis some more, and throw a single Crescent Beam high up into the sky. It explodes. She does it twice more. Artemis explodes (figuratively). She does it one more time and then sits on a windowsill.

Meruko Akaboshi has posed:
Meruko Akaboshi is up late. Which is probably bad for a girl her age! But, she has responsibilities or something now, because she has great powers. So, she crept out at night after her parents went to bed, and snuck away into the dark and out from where street lights shine.

And then, a stardust witch, Meruru appears! Shooting straight up like a comet from between the buildings she used to hide! She smiles and puts her hands on her hips, smiling with the feeling of power from being transformed.

Then, well. There come radiant beams of light partway across town that explode in sequence. Bam! That was either a bad guy causing problems, or someone stealing her job! So, with a streak of light behind her, she bolts in that direction, sailing down to street level, her feet skidding on the pavement as she appears before Minako. Sailor V herself!

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird hmmmmmmms as she sees the same Crescent Beams once more that almost shot her out of the sky once more. She was floating around, but she sees that and homes in again, glowing with gravity. "Faster, Swirling Vortex," she states. She got an affirming beep as she moves faster and then intercents Venus' location once more. "You REALLY must like shooting things into the sky," she muses. "Hey, do you smell smoething burning?" she asks as a roasted bird falls out of the sky and lands nearby, obviously struck by a beam.

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V gasps at dead birds and only takes her finger and points it at Meruru. "I.... I wasn't in the sky," she says to defend herself, completely forgetting to interrogate mysterious witches.

She also greets Firebird politely, after she's done shifting the blame of birdicide onto other people.

Meruko Akaboshi has posed:
Stardust Witch Meruru gets irate and exclaims, "Hey! Don't point your finger at me! That's rude!" which is about all she knows about this particular finger. That it's a very rude finger, not that it's got crescent beams in it. Rude finger.

"Are you some kinda evil exploder person? You don't LOOK spiky enough to be evil but maybe you're being sneaky about it." she asks. She starts the interrogation off properly.

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird moves to avoid the falling birds. "Are you crazy?" hse asks Meruru. "This is Sailor V. Don't you recognize her?" she asks. She is floating using gravity magic, an aura which a witch could rcognize. "I am Firebird, by the way, and this is Swirling Vortex." She holds up the mace which says "Hello." She glances to Sailor V. "Be careful about birds, would you? Though I bet that cat of yours wouldn't mind."

Minako Aino has posed:
Artemis' fur starts to stand up on end from his nearby hiding spot. He was very particular about not shooting birds out of the sky and now he is being lumped in with the blame.

Sailor V, on the other hand, pretty much says the same thing as Firebird - she is Sailor V, everybody recognizes her, and so on.

"I'm not rude. I'm... I'm a superheroine," she says, pronouncing it less like the title and more like the drug.

"Everybody knows me. Who are you!?"

Meruko Akaboshi has posed:
Stardust Witch Meruru oohs and peers a little squintier at Sailor V, and leans her head to the side. "Really? I thought your mask was blue. Anyway! You could still turn evil and explode people. Don't do it or I'll blow you up!" she explains. "Also! I really like Sailor V stuff! I have a video game at home..." she admits.

"My name is Stardust Witch Meruru! I'm a superheroine too!" she finally says in introduction.

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird nods. "Yeah, I do too." She smiles faintly. "Sailor V has never been evil. Maybe... a little triggerhappy from the news stories I've read. Of course, we can all get that way when we get overly excited. I mean, I was trying to juggle bowling balls using my gravity magic and something distracted me - and I ended up crushing them by mistake."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V tenses up and stomps her foot once. "I won't just 'turn evil' or explode things. That isn't how that works," she insists.

"And what 'news stories' are you reading? Don't read libble and slander," she huffs. "I never triggerhappied not even once."

Then, more seriously: "What makes you a superheroine? Being a 'witch' does not sound like a good thing," she comments, a little warily.

Meruko Akaboshi has posed:
Stardust Witch Meruru stamps her foot and insists, "Yeah huh, it is so how it works. Evil gets on you and then you're done for!" she says. Like it's a disease or something. Or super poison.

She's caught off guard by the other question though. She pokes her index fingers together sheepishly and mumbles, "Well um, if I saw a bad guy I'd stop them from doing bad stuff. But I'd be nice to good people. I'm a witch because I have a wand thing and do magic. But I'm still super and heroine!"

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird smiles. "A wand?" sheasks. "I used to think that magic was done with wands. Not anymore." She smiles. "Swirling Vortex is my Intelligent Device. And with her, I can do magic as well." She glances at an old chair. She points at it as it starts to glow and rise up, caught in the same magical gravitational aura that is engulfing Firebird, as it moves behind her so Firebird can sit on the chair. "Of course, when I get in a fight, Vortex gets a lot more... dangerous-looking."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V chuckles a little. "Hehe, yeah, no magic is done with wands anymore," she says, lips curling up in agreement with Firebird but chuckling in the most obnoxious and teasy way.

"Anyway, evil does not just 'get on you'. It's not like a disease. Nobody sneezes and gives you evil. Nobody here is evil. It's just a little bit SUSPICIOUS when people can fly," she says, staring right at Stardust Witch (and not Firebird, even if she's flying right now).

"How do I know you haven't gotten evil on you?"

Meruko Akaboshi has posed:
Stardust Witch Meruru gets haughty too and harrumphs, crossing her arms, closing her eyes, and turning her nose up, and away from the other two. "Well... well Vortex is just a really lumpy wand probably. It was a normal wand and then someone wadded metal on the tip too."

She sighs out and holds up a hand, palm up as she tries to explain, "Well, if someone tries to sneeze evil on me then they're a bad guy and I'd probably fight them before they could get close enough. If you let a nose monster get close then you'll be sorry one way or another!"

"And I'm not evil because... um... I'm not evil. If I was evil I'd probably like spikier clothes and black and icky skulls."

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird shrugs. "Well - apparently all Devices have a 'chromatic pattern' to them and mine is black. Though it's a black aura that keeps me afloat, it's not evil. I'd turn it off but... I..." She hesitates. And with a bit of sorrow in her voice she states, "I can't turn it off. Not if I want to be able to move." She sighs.

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V starts to get louder. "There are no nose monsters. You don't get evil and catch spikiness. Putting metal on wands doesn't magic them!" she says, educating young witches as best she can.

Meruko Akaboshi has posed:
Stardust Witch Meruru says, "So you agree I'm not evil then! That's good. Umm... so there aren't any badguys out? Where do you think they all are?"

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird shrugs. "I don't know. Maybe they're killing each other instead of bothering us - I have the remannts of a youma sealed away inside my Device, actually."

Meruko Akaboshi has posed:
Stardust Witch Meruru is becoming increasingly suspicious of Firebird's evilosity. She even starts to sidle over to stand next to Minako in case they have to fight together.

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V straightens herself up tall. "I'm... we don't have to fight bad guys all the time and most of the time they're hard to find," she says, looking over Meruru suspiciously. "Anyway, who are you? And don't just say 'a witch'. I'm Sailor V, searching for dangers to my city!" she shouts out, super-serious.

"Witches tend to cause trouble. Firebird and I are heroes. And I've heard lots of bad stories about witches. So, let's talk!" she says, listening expectantly to Meruru (and occasionally peeking between her and the dead bird).

Meruko Akaboshi has posed:
Stardust Witch Meruru replies grinningly with just, "A witch." to rile Minako up a little more teasily. But then she gets serious and monologues for a few minutes about how she got her powers from Comet-kun, a cute white thing, the state of the war between Pretty Star and Evil Star, and that she's a good witch and there are bad witches from Evil Star (that look a lot spikier). It takes awhile to get it all out there.

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird hmmmmmms. She glances around, and sees a nearby creek. "Levitate," she murmurs, an answering beep coming from Vortex, as a globe of water comes up. "There's one easy way to test if ou're a good witch or a bad witch," she states as the gloe of water splashes on Meruru's back. "Sailor V, watch carefully. If she melts, she's a bad witch. Otherwise, she's a good witch."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V listens to Meruru's story.

"That is ridiculous."

"And.... adooooooooorable~!" she says, eyes widening up so much they threaten to knock her mask off. She pets Meruru's face and fusses with her hair and makes loving coo sounds.

Until splashing happens. She keeps making sounds, but she steps back out of wet range.

Meruko Akaboshi has posed:
Stardust Witch Meruru is pretty glad to be out of suspicion, grinning and closing her eyes as she's petted. The cute and garishly pink magical girl that she is. Until she's splashed with frigid water from a river in january. And then she screams and hops around, drenched and shivering. "Hey! Heyyy! That's MEAN! Sailor V! Stop heeer! She's evil! She has evil stuff in her wand and it's making her do bad thiiings!" she complains and tantrums, dripping on the pavement.

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird blinks. "Well. She's not a wicked witch," she muses as she moves to float near Sailor V, staying in that chair that moves with her. "Sorry, Meruru. But V was worried." She smiles. "You'll be fine. It wasn't much water."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V purses her lips a bit. "Yeah, that was sort of mean," she comments.

"Not 'evil', though. No splashing poor little witches," she insists, petting Meruru on the head and trying to calm her down.

Meruko Akaboshi has posed:
Stardust Witch Meruru hugs her weird bead-filled wand looking thing to her chest and shivers and pouts. "I'm cold and wet and I wanna go home." she says, calmer, but not dryer. She hugs Sailor V tightly evem if it makes one side of Sailor V's outfit cold and wet too. Because she met Sailor V and she can hug her! Which is pretty lucky.

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird sighs. "I'm sorry, Meruru. Please forgive me. I overreacted." She smiles faintly as she glances at Meruru, ten over to Venus.

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V initially accepts hugs but tries to keep Meruru from touching her with her wet parts. It's not a very comfortable method for hugging.

"Right, right. You can go home, little witchy witch," she says, petting her head sixteen more times. "You even got an apology."

"But! You gotta come back again. Gimme your number and I'll give you mine. I gotta keep an eye on you and make sure you don't catch pneumonia. Or evil. Work with me and Firebird and Virtue! We promise no more splashing."

Meruko Akaboshi has posed:
Stardust Witch Meruru steps back a little and nods her head. She sneezes! But she politely covers her nose and mouth so nothing, whether it's good, evil, or gross, gets on anybody. "Okay... umm I got my first cell phone for christmas so it's super new. My parents told me not to give my number out but you can have it since you're a superheroine." she says. "It's... 867-5309. It sorta gets spam a lot."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V thinks Meruru is adorable and urges everybody to keep in touch with each other. "Alright. We should break out and go our separate ways. We'll attract attention if we stay here where I exploded the sky," she notes.

"I'll be hanging out in my Virtue base! Or on my phone! Get me if anybody needs me," she says before turning around to jog away. "And take warm baths! Don't get sick!"
