Synopsis: Phantom attempts to lure out Pretty Cure, and lures out Cure Victory! Can she overcome the engimatic Phantom Empire General?
Cast of Characters: Mari Katsu, Phantom

Phantom has posed:
Phantom had no luck drawing out Pretty Cure, or spying any in his 'disguise', so more action was required.

In King Penguin Park, a man was riding his bike along the curves of the sidewalk, peddeling like he was a speed demon on wheels. He almost runs over an old woman. "Hey!... people like you need to show the elderly some respect!" she yells as she turns around quickly. The man keeps peddling. "Oh, as if. What's going to happen if I don't , eh?".

This is when Phantom steps in- as if appearing from nowhere, and with a quick strike, sends the man flying off his bike backwards, and with an open palm---- and with a flash of white light, the man is trapped in a mirror. He pushes against the glass. "Woah, what is this.. lemme out!" he says banging on the other side. Meanwhile, his kinda bads, with awesome white shades are picking up his bicycle.

"TERRIBAD!------ GO!" Phantom yells out as the terribad forms, in the shape of a bicycle, and suddenly, large being with a white scarf, awesome shades and a bad attitude forms. He has wheels for shoulder pauldons and break pedeals for hands.

People begin running as the area directly around Phantom begins to turn to a light purple color, as amethyst crystals begin to cover pretty much everything in the area.

This was a big disruption, surely it'd draw SOMEONE.

Mari Katsu has posed:
It's a nice warm day, perfect for Mari to be out doing some of her routine exercises, keeping in shape, that sort of thing.. She had made plans to meet up with her sister, later, for some 'serious' practice on the tennis courts, but that wasn't taking into account the fact that plans - as plans are wont to do - don't always go smoothly.

Mari had witnessed the rude guy nearly flattening the sweet old lady while doing a few stretches, and was going to speak up about it - infact, she was already on her feet and heading over when Phantom appears, causing Mari to freeze in place as she watches what happens next go down. This is fmiliar territory.. Not like the Cardian from the other evening. In an instant, the man was trapped in a mirror, and people were starting to scatter as panic errupts.. Siezing the opportunity to fit in with the crowd, Mari ducks out of sight and flicks open her change mirror, slotting in the appropriate cards and locking it closed.

"Precure! Rolling Mirror Change!" A voice calls out defiantly as a violet flash of light shines out from Mari's chosen hiding spot! It's a phrase Phantom has likely heard a thousand times before - seems an adversary has taken the bait! A few seconds later, a blur of violet color leaps out into the open, and thrusts her hand forward to point an accusing finger at Phantom.

"Hold it!" Cure Victory calls out, her eyes focused on Phantom and the Terribad. "This city and it's dreams aren't your play things, Phantom General! You won't be allowed to do as you please here as long as Cure Victory is around!"

Phantom has posed:
Phantom looks towards the change callout, by the time he has, Cure Victory is already facing him down, insisting he won't be able to do as he please. He just stares for a few moments and in those moments... nothing happen. "Allow me to Introduce myself. My name is Phantom. I am The Pretty Cure Hunter." he says.

He doesn't draw his ridicolous sword, or make any threating motions, instead. He speaks.

"I will make you wager. You will fight me. If you win, I will dissolve my Terribad, and release the rude man in the mirror, and you will not see me again." he says. "and if you loose, or anyone else interferes with our fight..........." he says. "Your fate, and the fate of everyone here in this park belongs to me!" he says, drawing his sword, finally, with it's shining red edges, he holds it out, pointing at Cure Victory. "What do you say, Cure Victory? Can you come out Victorious as your name suggests!?" he asks.

He's getting ready for the standard reply, of 'try to kick/punch him in the face' of course.

Mari Katsu has posed:
CureVictory stands her ground, listening to Phantom as he speaks before she quietly frowns and holds out her right hand, allowing her racket to form from her prebrace so that she can grip the handle tightly with somewhat narrowed eyes. Even as that daunting blade is drawn and leveled towards her. Somewhat predictably, she doesn't back down.

"Pretty Cure... Hunter?" The girl asks in a slightly confused tone - she hadn't heard about that yet... Or maybe she had and she just sort of glassed over during the explaination. She was guilty of that at times. Still, the girl just sighs as she hears Phantom talk over his deal.

"You say that as though you don't already think that is the case. If I didn't try to stop you, you would simply act as though these people belong to you already. I would never wager other people's lives or dreams on my success or failures, but I wager my own every time I put on this face." She states, flipping the racket to pat the top end against her other hand.

"But if you expect me to back down and allow you to do as you please with their lives and dreams just because you threaten my own. You're sorely mistaken!" A proclimation accented by Victory's pose as she points her racket down range at Phantom in the same method that he points his sword at her. "Your serve, Phantom."

Phantom has posed:
His Terribad!.... continues to do nothing. His KindaBads continue to watch. Ones kind of hunched down watching pretty amethsy form. Sometimes these things aren't smart. Regardless, Phantom seems to keep the large monster at bay for now, opting for the single combat of fighting Victory. He's fought Pretty Cure before. Most of them aren't around anymore. He hrmphs. "Very well!" he says, drawing the swords upwards, and then with a slash forward, A powerful surge of red energy cuts along the slowly purpling ground, it cuts through a small Amethyst growth along the wall, casuing it crush away into pretty sparkly dust.

"Love will end!" he calls out, after his sword swing.

Mari Katsu has posed:
A flashy start, but mostly harmless.. Something that seems to be for intimidation more so than an actual attempt to harm her - though she does stay well enough back that the gouged out dirt and shattered crystal doesn't pose much of a threat. Still, the dist and sparkles kicked up by that initial attack serve as a good barrier for Phantom to hide behind, since it obscures her vision until it clears."Hmhm... He's good... I might actually have to think of some strategy for this fight..." CureVictory comments to herself as she waits for her opening to appear...

"If that's the case, you and everyone here are in alot of trouble..." Comments Raquell from the large volume of hair hanging down behind CureVictory, to which Victory gives a slight twitch in response.

"H..hey! I'm perfectly capable of strategic thought, thank you very much! It's just usually alot more simple to hit something until it stops moving an-THERE!" She exclaims, her eyes darting to one side before she clasps her prebrace and rotates the gemstone set into it. "Passion Victory Ball!"

Forming from the energy generated by her prebrace, a violet ball of energy is created in CureVictory's free hand, which she lobs upwards into the air and slams her racket against. Spinning in place against the racket for a moment, the ball suddenly launches forward through the haze of dust and sparkles, twisting it violently as it punches a hole through - where she thinks Phantom should be.

Phantom has posed:
Phantom continues to slash the air as Cure Victory goes into motion, occasionally sending out a wave of stark red energy, his slashes will fill the air and ground, smashing through rocks and various purple crystals. Eventually, Phantom reveals himself, and he sees the spinning orb of energy coming at him. He gives it a glare as he dissapears from view JUUUUUST before it should connect. He reappears.... in the air over Victory, trying to come down with a downward swing of his sword. Victory might be able to block it in time, or get out of the way if her, or her fairy partner, are quick on the take, otherwise, this might hurt a great bit.

"Your efforts are meaningless." he says starkly, in his downward swing. "You're barely aware of YOUR SURROUNDINGS!" he edges on during the downward swing.

Mari Katsu has posed:
The vanishing trick does catch Victory by surprise, not entirely expecting the man to move quite as fast as he does.. Entering a defensive stance, and readying herself, Victory reaches out with her senses to try and feel out the counter attack, before Raquel suddenly cries out in warning. Snapping her head up, Victory barely has time to ready her racket and block that downward swing with the handle, bracing the racket at both ends to steady her defense. Any other tennis racket wouldn't hold up - but this is by no means an ordinary racket, as it takes the downward force of the attack and spreads it outwards allowing Victory to avoid the brunt of the force, though the effort does clearly strain her to do so. "Ghhh! Not bad! But you're one hundred years too young to pull off that kind of attack on me!"

The reference might be a bit dated and cliche, and lack alot of meaning to Phantom.. Raquel might be facepalming, but hiding in Victory's hair as she does, it's impossible to tell. Still, with Phantom pinning her down like this, she's really limited as far as counter attacks with her racket go... Beneath the clashing metal and clattering, Victory narrows her eyes again and suddenly focuses all of her effort into repelling the phantom general back into the air.

Phantom has posed:
Phantom keeps pressing down on the racket as he attacks. Phantom feels strong as he keeps his attack downward, and with all Victory's strength, she manages to not be cut by the sword, with it's gleaming red edges, and back inner color. Phantom doesn't seem to care for the quip she spouts, or doesn't get it.

Victory tries to reply Phantom, and it takes a TREMENDOUS effort on her part, but she seems to accomplish to a degree, as Phantom jumps away on his own power. He hrmphs. "You're stronger than the others I've defeated and taken away." he says a cross between frustration and being honestly a little impressed.

He however, rushes forward and attempts to throw as much power as he can muster into the swing, his movements turning into a blur as he dashes forward, the red haired general aiming to send the Cure flying backwards into one of the large purple crystal growths that are now litering the field.

More Kindabads marvel at the prettiness of these stones from behind thier wicked awesome sunglasses.

Mari Katsu has posed:
As Phantom leaps back, Victory can't help but breathe a sigh of relief as she takes a moment to catch her breath... The compliment catches her a bit off guard - She's strong enough to warrant that from a guy like Phantom? Either that or he knows how to play into her ego. Whatever the reason, her chest puffs outwards with a mixture of pride and fire as she readies herself for her next attack.

"You know it! Cure Victory is no slacker!" She states.. only to be caught off guard as Phantom decides to take off the kid gloves and rush her with a powerful blow that LIFTS her off the ground and sends her flying backwards. A scream of shock and pain comes out as she CRATERS into the purple crystal, shattering it around her and throwing millions of sparkles into the air in a cloud of dust and shards.

Several moments pass, and Victory isn't emerging.. That hit was a hard one, and one she wasn't exactly ready for. It takes a few seconds for her senses to return as Raquel sits on her chest shaking her face as hard as she can.

"Victory! Get up! This fight isn't over yet! You can't let this guy beat you like this! Get up!" The tiny fairy cries out as she continues shaking her charge.

Reaching up slowly, Victory's hand takes hold of one of the still intact shards of crystal and slowly pulls herself back to her feet, spitting to one side as she does. Raquel, not expecting Victory to be back on her feet so suddenly tumbles off of the girl and catches herself in flight before she huffs a bit and darts back into the Precure's hair.

"Tch... Fine... The kid gloves are off, huh..." She states, rotating her shoulder slowly as she steadies herself after that hit.. The world is /still/ spinning. But there's no time for that, it's time to push forward! A swift slap is delivered to her own right cheek, slapping herself back to her senses with the shock before her wings flicker in at her hips and she launches forward at full force.

"Fine! Off go my kid gloves too! Let's DO THIS!" She calls out at phantom as she flies, bringing her racket back as she continues towards Phantom to deliver her strongest blow - hopefully right into Phantom's head with the side of her racket.

Phantom has posed:
Phantom is walking towards the crystal, he infact, thinks this is all over. He'll take his 'prize', a fairy will be without a partner- and the world will be as it should be, sinking further into misery. But then there's movement, and Victory is-- pulling herself out!? Surely she'll fall flat on her face upon pulling herself out.

When this doesn't happen, he kind of half-scowls. Getting him to scowl even a little is a feat all it's own of course. The man often doesn't display much emotion on his face. Even when yelling attacks.

"Impossible. You're defeated." he insists.

He's not ready for the slap, and indeed, is slapped, hard, in the side of his face, causing his entire body to bend and go flying though one of the large crystals in the area and through the air- his coat flittering in the breeze as he does so--- he crashes dramatically into the ground into a roll.

He pauses for a moment as he steadies his feet. "That's alright." he insists lowly. "You've been weakened."

He raises his sword as he sparks with red energy that lashes out everywhere...."ETERNAL.... GAUGE!" he calls out. All the Red Sparks converge on one area as it forms an almost coffin-shaped like mirror- and it begins to act like a vaccum, attempting to pull Cure Victory towards it. It's effects seem to be draining energy aswell, this is not pleasent at all. It's possible to resist, and Victory has been doing a good job of that so far. But this feels like something on a different level entirely.

Mari Katsu has posed:
It's true, Cure Victory is being pushed to her limits.. The exertion so far has her panting heavily and slouched over, even with her intent and resolve still burning strong. Things were reaching their boiling point. She would have to do something soon, or this was going to turn from bad to TERRIBAD real quick.

Of course... When your options get this limited that the bad guy is so sure they've won... What do you do? Especially against someone so daunting as a Pretty Cure Hunter!

'Impossible.', 'You've been weakened.', 'You're defeated.' The more those words play through her mind, the more determined her face becomes. This jerk is looking down on her!

The mirror forms, the vortex opens, and CureVictory just digs in, doing her best to resist it's pull even as she starts to grunt - even scream from the effort, arms crossed over her chest as though she's attempting to protect her own heart from that black void.

"Don't you dare..." She starts, her eyes focused on the mirror, and Phantom beyond. "Don't you DARE look down on me or my dreams!" She cries out, her arms shifting position as she prepares herself for a desperation attack.

"LIGHT OF DREAMS! TURN INTO SACRED POWER!" She calls out, her arms moving into position, her finger moving to her prebrace as she begins to rotate the gemstones set within. "LOVE PREBRACE!"

Her hand slaps to her prebrace, before she begins twirling her arms to generate a massive ammount of energy from what's left of her reserves, raising both hands over her her head as the energy takes shape into an orb that stylizes into the appearance of a tennis ball.

Leaping backwards, and allowing her wings to take over the full brunt of holding herself back, Cure Victory moves into position behind the attack and winds up her strongest punch before she cries out, "PRECURE! VIOLET PASSION SHOOOOOOT!", then slams the attack forward with full force towards the Mirror - in hopes that her passion is strong enough to shatter this obstacle and hopefully get Phantom beyond it!

Having committed herself to this action, either way, she lands, continuing to try and guard herself through the impact as she cries out, "DREAMS! RETURN TO THE SKIES!

Phantom has posed:
Phantom now seems shocked! First getting up from a strong hit, and now avoiding being entrapped in his mirror? This girl is just full of surprises---- so he just.... closes his eyes, with a knowing smirk and takes the incredibly hard hit

Though to Victory's surprise the Mirror turns around and catches Phantom, it takes him inside of course, but this is his mirror, there's no danger to him. He just stands there in the mirror.

"You fight well. But this isn't over Cure Victory. We'll fight again. And next time I'll use all my power. You win. /For Today/." he says as he mirrow cracks down the middle, and shatters into dust.

AND just as Phantom Promised, the terribad fades away, as do his minons, the terrain of the park returning back to normal quickly---- the mirror holding the rude cyclist spits him onto the ground harshly, but he's unharmed as that mirror cracks and also smashes into fine dust.

Things seem to be calming down immensly and fast now.

"H-hey where's my bike!?" asks the Rude Cyclist.

Somewhere, in another dimension, a KindaBad is all the talk of the town on his awesome new bike.

Mari Katsu has posed:
There's a few moments that pass after everything calms down, where CureVictory doesn't really know what to say or do. She's actually surprised by the fact that her last ditch effort actually paid off... Though despite that surprise, it passes in a moment and a peace sign is thrust forward with one hand as her racket vanishes. "YES! Cure Victory is Victorious!"

"Don't be so reckless, Victory... That could have easily backfired and you would have been trapped..." Raquel protests, as she pokes her head out of Victory's hair.

"Don't worry so much Raquel.. Things always work out in the end with us. Haven't you caught on yet?" She asks before she grins. "Besides... As if I'm going to let my sister down and not show up for practice!"

"I guess..." Raquel comments before she suddenly tenses up "A...Ah! Victory-chan..! I feel the power of a spring breeze!" She calls out, before she sticks out her nose to Victory. "Rub it, please!"

Victory, just blinking a bit gives Raquel a stare before she reaches out and cutely presses one finger to Raquel's nose and rubs it gently, causing the fairy to sneeze and two carts to pop out of her ladybug shell cover backpack thing. Catching the cards stylishly, Victory grins as Raquel pulls out her book, and allows victory to place them inside.

"With this, we're one step closer to our dream, Raquel..." She states softly before she turns to look back towards the man who lost his bike. "...Let's get going before people start taking more notice than they have. I don't want to be late."

"Right!" Raquel replies, before she and Victory leap off into the air and fly off into the distance.

As the two are flying away, Victory can't help but sigh and look towards Raquel. "Hey, Raquel... Why do you say that so strangely? Why is everything "The power of" something that has no direct power to speak of?"

"Look, when you're the magical guardian fairy that has to emphasize the powerful emotions people feel when they react with even the tiniest things, you can say what you want about them!" Raquel replies while dive bombing back into Victory's hair, who just starts to laugh while flying away.
