Terribad and Terribird

Synopsis:	Oresky attacks the Fall Festival!

The fall festival is a happy place, with the various tents and stalls decked out in the colors of falling leaves, and the smell of delicious food wafts through the air, and the whole place is all about what makes fall - and community - great. With children playing in the between the stalls and joy in ther air, there's no way anything could spoil today.

Right?

Wrong! Because all of this joy at something as simple as the changing of the seasons has gotten a kind of attention and happiness has called out the Phantom Empire, and Oresky isn't having any of this.

So in the middle of the festival, a man in a strange military uniform pushes an announcer off stage. "You're all simple people. This isn't something worthy of celebrating, fall comes every year! It's boring and normal! Now, if you want something worthy of celebration - celebrate me!" he shouts out, pointing at himself with his thumb. "Now... who's going to help me put things they way they should be?" he asks with a grin, and closes his eyes and randomly points into the crowd.

"LET THE FUTURE IN THE MIRROR TURN TERRIBLE!"

A mirror erupts from the ground, locking a mother and her child inside of the mirror with red ribbons. "COME ON. TERRIBAD!"

And as the happy festival atmosphere shifts to a gray and desolate landscape like a battlefield, a massive Terribad springs into existence - decked out like a fall tree, there's a strange terri-bird on one of the limbs, and it also screeches out TERRIBAD alongside its ally.

Things that attract seagulls, food. It is a common fact. So. It is no surprise that Haruna Kurosawa has been attracted by the smells and promises of tasty fall treats- is that pumpkin filled pastry she smells!? Is that Hot Cocoa she smells? Is that Spiced Cider she smells!? Damn straight!

She tip toes from stall to stall to stall and she ends up with a pastry in her mouth and a hot cocoa and a spiced cider in hot drink foam cups as she looks ready, and happy, to find a place to sit down and eat.

Also, Corvus is on her shoulder. Corvus, similarly, has this ridicolous slice of pumpkin pie because he respects the classics. Better not to ask how he uses wings to handle it. People questioning that find thier heads hurt. OR why a seagull is using it's wings like hands. Or why someone has a pet seagull at all.

This is when Oresky appears. "ORBESKY!" she says through the pastry. She looks around. Looks down at her drinks. Her pastry. Looks back up at Oresky. Back to her treats..Oresky...Treats...

She gets wibble eyes. Why can't she just enjoy her pasties!? ;_;.

She drops the cups onto a table nearby and then the pastry out of her mouth then she shotguns the spiced cider before shoving half the pastry into her mouth.

OKAY that is better than nothing and oh god, ow hot, but still.

She dashes underneath the table.

<Rollin' Mirror Change!>

"The wings of hope that soar across the sea, Cure Gull!"

Says Cure Gull as she lands in one of those cool three point landings after 'swooshing' out from underneath the table with those bow wings.

"Oresky!" she huffs. "...wouldn't you rather eat pastries and hot cocoa and spiced cider than do this!?" she says with wide eyes.

She's hoping this will work. It probably won't work.

She moves to leap into the air and come down with a kick at the Terribad as hard as she can! Hoping it doesn't use those branch limbs to block it. Or that scary weird terribad bird. (Is it also wearing shades? Corvus wants shades now.)

Naomi Yomada has posed:
Naomi was at the festival. She just minding her own business. Her moms were watching some of the events taking place. She had snuck off to go get some of the yummy candies and several Taiyaki which have been loaded with chocolate! Its everything she could possibly want! And then, oh come on. Oresky on the stage.

She doesn't even wait for the terribad to be called out. She slips behind a few stands and away from the sight of others. Several flashes of light go off. Curiosity Sparking the Fires of Creativity! CURE SPARK!" With that she moves quickly to the front of the crowd!

"Oresky, How could you attack such a nice event! This place is peaceful! People are having a good time and you do this?! Its unforgivable!" She glares at the military uniform clad man. Leaping into the air her back bow changes into a pair of wings and she flies up into the terribad's face. Spinning her gem she calls out, "Spark Blinding Flash!" She throws her hand into the behemouths face and a brilliant flash of light goes off. She gives a smile and a wave to Gull.

Yuzuki Amemori is of course at the festival today, who wouldn't want to be in the middle of a big gathering of people. Well, she wouldn't really, not without a mask on at least. However, she does get to work on the sound systems with a couple of contacts and that's always good practice. And money, never forget the money. That's why when some goober in military dress climbs the stage and starts demanding attention, she starts laughing, about to call to him to clear the stage all while actually looking for security.

Then bad things happen and she ducks under the stage, ignoring spiders and a few other creepy crawlies to quickly murmur, "Grasp the cord of fate!" while pulling like it's a ripcord. When she emerges in a clattering cacophony, she stands up and starts to call out a taunt to the creature... and the guy when a spider begins to crawl into view, completely distracting her. It's scooped up in her armored hand and hastily flung away, then she shrugs and begins to run straight towards the terribad and it's bird, sword drawn and sliding in, using her momentum to do an over the top spinning slash, almost like she's intentionally trying to leave herself open to get it's attention. She does always present armor when she does this!

Oresky turns and puts his hands on his hips, letting out a heartly laugh. "Good! Now, not only will I remove more happiness from the world in the name of Queen Mirage, but I will defeat two Pretty Cure as well! Why would I want to sit and eat when I could bask in even more glory!"

The bird is, in fact, wearing shades, and it screeches out and tries to take to the air - as the Seabird Precure's powerful kick does, in fact, meet a branch - but it pushes the Terribad back. The Terribad tries to slam down with its other hand, but doesn't connect with Gull because of the Creative Precure's brilliant light.

The bird then dives down and tries to collide with Yuzu - at least the bird's attention has been gotten rather completely!

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Cure Gull nrgs. "Yeah, I hate to break it you hat-face, but you're no Precure Hunter! But if that's what you want, then you gotta do better than this!" she huffs as she jumps back and watches as Spark's blast stops it from retalating immediatly. She looks over to Spark and grins and gives a thumbs up. "Thanks Spark-chan!" she says. "Don't forget what we talked about!" she calls out.

She looks over at Yuzu and grins. "Hey!" she says. "This is one of our problems." she calls out. "I mean. Pretty Cure. Problems. Phantom Empire. Wants Happiness to turn into Misfortune. And it's full of Jerks like that guy." she says, a quick overview.

She moves to dash in as as she throws back her hand. "GULL WINDY PUNCH!" she calls back as her hand swirls with a sudden force of wind and feathers as she throws the almost torando infused punch toward's the Terribad's stomach.

"Also Corvus is a way cooler bird than that thing. And he doesn't even have shades!"

Corvus 'woooos!' from the sidelines.

Naomi Yomada has posed:
Cure Spark looks at Gull nervously. She takes a deep breath. "Its Go time!" She flies down and lands on the stage in front of Oresky. The man towers over her. "I think you and I ought to have a little talk."

The lightning Precure smirks and takes a defensive stance. "Oresky, For all your squawking about being number one, you do a lot of hiding. Right now, you are hiding behind your terribad. Lets see why you think you're number one!" She steps forward ready to engage the much bigger man.

Yuzuki Amemori has posed:
Hakuomaru has drawn aggro on the smaller of the two things, not that she's sure it's a smaller threat or not. Planting her sword in the ground, she kicks her forward foot hard and down, creating a barrier of earth directly in front of her, hoping the bird plows into it. Successful or not, the bird is right there and while it's big, it's probably awkward to hit with a surfboard, so she leaves the sword planted nearby and draws both of her flintlocks, though rather than shooting with either of them, she tries to club the bird to keep it close to the ground. Well that, and keep it from getting a good claw into her face since she's only wearing a half-mask.

She doesn't look over her shoulder to the other two, but she does reply to Gull, "It's less trippy than what we deal with- this is the second big tree I've tried to cut down though! It's getting kind of weird!" She steps back from the bird and tries to catch it off guard with a quick underhand swing before continuing, "Do I need an axe instead!?"

The Tree Terribad doubles over from the sudden impact of the Windy Punch. Oresky laughs. "Your bird can't ever be as cool as mine. Because my bird belongs to me! After he takes you down I'll give him a medal too!"

Oresky grins as Cure Spark lands next to him. "Oh, but a real commander leads." Even still, he punches his hand into his fist. "But I suppose I can do you the honor of losing to the great Oresky!" That's before he jumps back and a crowd of smaller Kindabads leaps up over the ridge, and dives for Cure spark! "It's not hiding - it's tactics!"

Meanwhile the Terribird squaks and spins through the air, having slammed right into Hakuomaru's foot! It doesn't dive bomb though, instead it circles and rains down a shower of Dark Energy feathers on Hakumaru! Which means it's at least somewhat out of range of that underhand swing!

The Tree Terribad roars and tries to bring its branches down on Gull in a twin attack - but if it misses, it'll be wide open.

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Cure Gull grins. "Why don't you 'axe' it a question and find out!?" she says to Hakuomaru over her shoulder as she sends the Terribad buckling. "But do you have a ranged attack? You should be using that. Don't you have those.. pistol.. gun things!?" she calls out.

She nrgs to Spark. "The jerk is hiding." she asides to her. "But you can handle those by yourself, right?" she asides to Spark. Afterall. Kindabads are kind of like obvious cannon fodder-- a human wave tactic. Spark is a match for those chumps. Right?

Right!

Okay, time to give this thing a spin. "GULL TEMPEST!" she calls out as she throws her hand outwards-- a massive windburst emenating from her hand, decked off with more feathers as she tries to trap the Terribad within. Either to keep it still for a finisher and/or sending it into the air! It depends how... rooted... this thing is!

Naomi Yomada has posed:
Spark gets ready to fight with Oresky when, He jumps back! And here comes the Goon squad. Part of her wants to go after him but right now, first things first. Kindabads. Can't let them go. "I got it!" She calls to Gull. Then to Oresky, "Tactics you want? Tactics you get!"

She quickly spins her prebrace and launches herself upward. "Spark Sprite Eruption!" She quickly poses throwing a hand into the air. Immediately a ring forms on the ground and red electrical discharges explode upward almost like a volcano. It quickly clears a path as she lands.

Pretty Cure! Rolling Mirror Change! Rock Candy Break Dance!" Immediately the cards overlap her image replacing her outfit with her dance form.

Neon pink lights flare around her as she spins her prebrace. "Pretty Cure! Terran Jackhammer!" She drops down and begins break dancing. Then she begins bouncing her entire body on 1 hand. With each bounce, The ground shakes a little. Then she comes to a rest, lying on her side with her head resting on her hand. With a wink, An Earthen shockwaves goes out from her in a 360 around her right towards the kindabads.

Yuzuki Amemori has posed:
Hakuomaru calls out, "They take a while per shot! Hakuomaru had to go with the newest and loudest!" Which on that note, as the bird attempts to stay just out of range, she overly pantomimes aiming, hoping the bird would start to try and dodge while focused there while she kicks the ground to create another pillar of earth. Should she catch it off guard, she'll take a shot at it with the green trimmed gun, firing a spike of earth with a loud crack. Should the bird not play her game... well she'll shoot at it anyway, just to see how it reacts.

As the ground shakes, she calls out, "Hey neat." Not really sure what else to say to that! It is just neat that there's another earth-y type around! Still, she can't focus too long on that as she holsters the now recharging earth flintlock and picks her sword up in a reverse grip which in one smooth motion is flipped around and rested on her shoulder as she takes aim with the other weapon!

The Terribads heavy doubleslam misses Gull - but Gull Tempest doesn't miss it! At first the thing's roots hold it away and it roars, but eventually the power of the tempest tears it away, and it's pulled into the air, spinning - by the time it lands it's quite dizzy.

The Terribads move in like the fodder they are, and punches and kicks are easily dodged by the Pretty Cure. The sudden surge of electfied energy knocks the Terribads back - and they ready to attack just as the cure starts breakdancing! The earthen shockwaves shatter them and then the earth rumbles, sending them into the air and away!

And in the battle with Hakuomaru, the gun's fake out does indeed shift the bird from offense to defense, and it tries to take to the sky, only to roll back and come in, beak gleaming at Hakuomaru! But the canny fighter is ready and the pillar of earth brings it right into view! Blam goes the gun and the bird tumbles back, slamming into the Terribad tree!

Oresky pops his head up from a nearby foxhole (how fast did he dig one of those?!) and shouts. "Hey! That's not fair! It was two on two, then you brought a friend - she's not even a cure... is she?" Oresky scratches his chin. "Anyways you're cheaters! Nya!" disregarding his pile-on of Spark earlier.

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Cure Gull watches the Terribad go flying and she hrmphs and watches it land. She hrmphs and and nods a bit to Hakuomaru. "Right! Well clip that thing's wings best you can, Haku~" she says as she watches Spark just... totally utter wreck the Kindabads. Woah. That's neat! When did she get that!?

Anyways, Cure Gull turns back to the Terribad as she huffs. "WHY DON'T YOU MAKE LIKE THE SEASON AND /FALL/!" she calls out as she raises her Prebrace.

"Wings of Hope, Turn into a Sacared Power!" she calls out as she throws down her Prebrace and turns it rapidly. "Lovely Prebrace....!"

She forms her big ol' 'Wing' Symbol with spinning of her hands and then she slams it in front of her and calls out:

"Hopeful Feather Shoot!" she calls out as she punches the thing into the Terribad. When it smacks it-- and encases it-- she'll then call out... "Wings of Hope... Return to the heavens!"

And then there's a big ol' Purification explosion behind her. Yes. She turns away.

Corvus joins her on her shoulder. He has /shades now/. He crosses his arms.

Cool Gulls don't look at the Explosion.

Naomi Yomada has posed:
As Spark stands up, her danceform drops and she is left in her more typical Precure uniform. She steps closer to where Oresky is hiding in his foxhole. "I will agree that I cheated if you agree that you are a coward and are scared to actually fight with me."

She looks up and salutes Hakuomaru before stareing at Oresky with an icy gaze. She gets ready to move in. Then with a smirk she hits her prebrace "Light of Curiosity become Sacred Power!" She spins the prebrace, "Love Prebrace!" SHe makes her intersecting lightning bolt symbol as she calls out, "Pretty Cure, Ball Lightning!" She calls out as those lightning bolts become a ball and go flying at Oresky. Light of curiosity, return to the heavens."

Yuzuki Amemori has posed:
Hakuomaru visibly whinces at the pun, that one was pretty painful and should be considered friendly fire! Still, with the bird dazed and everything grouped up as a nice big target, she can't help but help out. Riiiight after she pops a shot at the guy in the fox hole with a fireball from her other flintlock, just a wild shot to let him know what she thinks about his cries of cheating. "No, no I'm not!"

She hefts her sword up in her right hand and holds it with the handle tucked under her arm, tracing her fingers from the hilt all the way to the tip, leaving what looks like a sheath of molten rock just behind her fingers. Charging forward, she does something far less flashy and far more fitting someone actually trying to defeat a monster rather than get it's attenting with a quick, savage chop from the side at the beast. Should it strike, the blade would detonate, right about the same time she cries out, "Calamity!" She doesn't look away from the explosion. Instead she quickly withdraws her blade, flicks it behind her before spinning it and sheathing it over her shoulder. What, she likes flashy things!

The wind emblem rockets towards the Terribad at a ridiculously fast pace, slamming into - the bird? The bird caws and the terribad tries to get back up to it's feat. The bird is the only one rising into the air!

But then Hakuomaru charges up from behind and slashes the tree as it stumbles to its feet. The Tree Terribad turns - and then Hakumaru's calamity explodes - sending the tree back into the start with its bird friend. Both of them are raised into the sky as they're filled with positive energy and purified.

Oresky, too, recieves a purifying shot - and it slams into him with the same force. But he puts his gloves up and tries to stop it! Shouting loudly - but it still lifts him up into the sky all the same. And for a moment, he glows a brilliant white - until suddenlt there's a surge of poisonous, evil energy - like illness condesened into power. It's not from Oresky - it's coming from somewher else entirely.

But it does shatter the purifiying lightning bolt, and Orseky hits the ground, staggering. He then coughs a bit and laughs. "You thought that... I would believe you? Me, Orseky! I won't rest until Mirage-Sama's dreams are fufilled!" And in a burst of black energy Orseky vanishes - and the mirror releases its captives.

Cure Gull watches as the Terribad disspates and then.. wait. Did Spark just...Direct hit...Oresky?

And it almost worked.. but..

That...

"Nrg...!" she holds her head. That's an.. intense pressure, that dark power that flares- it's gone in an instant, but.. whatever that was it...

Is that... Mirage's power? Or.. something else? Dear lord..

She shakes it off a moment as she turns over to Hakuomaru.

"Ugh. He's gone." she says.

"I dunno what that energy stuff was about but.. Spark almost ended that one for /good/. Nrg. Figured it wouldn't had been so simple." she mutters.

Yuzuki Amemori has posed:
Hakuomaru is less about purification and more about breaking things unfortunately, at least in a fair fight. Dreams, she's still working. Maybe she does have a purification. This is all going through her head as she's wathcing the other attacks going off and fade away. It's interrupted by the burst of negative energy, which she braces herself against her sword with a grimace. Adjusting her mask after, she pulls it away from her face and takes a few breaths, then settles it back in place.

Tilting her head, she asks, "You guys have never just considered punching them? That's kind of funny, if I'm being honest." She grins then and hefts the sword across her shoulders with a bit of clatter. "Are you okay?"

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Cure Gull huffs and and crosses her arms. "I dunno." she says. "Those guys are a lot stronger than they look, you know." she says.

"I'm okay." she looks over to Corvus. "Corvus are you okay?"

Corvus is sort of rubbing his temples.

"Yeah he's okay. He probably just has a headache over that." she says.

"Ugh. I had like. Two hot drinks and a pastry and I bet the drinks are cold now and the pastry is like. getting hard at the edges? I hate that when it happens. Bleh." she mutters.

Yuzuki Amemori has posed:
Hakuomaru adjusts pieces of her armor, then after looking around for witnesses, just fully drops her disguise. What, armor's heavy even if she's in shape and doesn't find it uncomfortable completely! Rolling her shoulders, then swinging her arms around he says, "I should really start working on more than jogging shouldn't I. I'm always afraid I'm going to like- over extend on a swing." Beat, "But it is fun to swing it around that way and apparantly was how past-me did it. Might explain why he died." She's going to get crap about that, but it is funny in her head. Hers, not her past. There's a brief grimace while she says, "It's really weird realizing you're not crazy by talking to yourself. Sort of."

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Cure Gull blinks. "Past you?" she asks. She blinks again. "Wait, are you like the Senshi or somethin?" she asks as she scratches the side of her head. She sighs and shakes her head. "Right. Well." she says. "I talk to a seagull. And also. Like. God. Or a God? So." she says.

"I dunno how that's any different." she laughs.

She points up. "I gotta go." she sighs. The bow on her back turns into bright green translucent wings.

"I have questions for Blue-sama." she mutters as she takes straight up and off nto the air!

Yuzuki Amemori has posed:
Hakuomaru shakes her head, "The whosit? I'm me, I also talk to past-me. He was a weird one though with O-Yasu saying his dreams smelled of gunpowder and sake." Beat, "You know the first thing he said in our dr-" beat, "Nevermind. Dreams are fun."

She waves to Gull and adds, "See you at sc- see you stranger!" yes. Smooth.
