Mint Chip (37) has posed:
It's a beautiful, warm summer evening at Roaring Bayside Theme Park, and with entrance fees at 50% off for teens and children, a busy one. Though the bulk of the crowds have gone home, the rides and pools are still open and busy - after all, Roaring Bayside is 'the only Theme Park in Tokyo where you can relax in the sun, swim in the ocean, then ride a giant roller coaster over the ocean water!

Of course, with so many people here, there have been a great number of lifeguards on duty, but even they are surprised at how many people have reported being pulled under by various currents; but since there have been no serious injuries or explanations, the park is still open - there's simply no way anything major would happen to force an early closure of the park on a day like today, is there?

Sakura Kinomoto has posed:
Of course Sakura couldn't pass up this chance, so she all but begged her dad to buy tickets! And, since she'd been doing so well in school of late, he of course agreed, as long as she had someone to come with her. Despite her assurances that Tomoyo would be more than enough, he insisted that Toya come as well, because who knows what could happen?

And so, as the three of them stroll through the entrance to the park, Sakura forgets that her jerk brother is there for a moment as she gleefully runs ahead, jumping into the air and smiling into the sunlight! "Woohoo! We're here, we're here! What should I do first? I don't know! Hueeeeeh~"

Tomoyo, waving a little flag with a cherry blossom stitched into it, smiles as well. Though she doesn't outwardly express the same energetic enthusiasm, her voice rings sweetly as she says, "Anything you choose to do, I will gladly come with you, Sakura-chan."

"Just make sure you stay where I can see you. If either of you gets hurt, I'm dead meat." Toya chimes in, trying to hide his excitement as he checks out that roller coaster.

Fate T. Waldia has posed:
Arf finally convinced Fate to take an off day.

It took some convincing. Fate was very dedicated to her mother's wishes. Yet, day after day of false positives and endless searching was exhausting, and Arf was able to convince Fate that the theme park might be a good lead.

That's why Fate and Arf are here. Arf is in her human form, of course. Her orange wolf ears stick out of the top of her head, but people apparently just assume that it's cute headwear or something.

Fate herself is in casual clothes, long sleeves despite the weather. She wont be going swimming today, or at least she doesn't intend to, but there are still plenty of fun things to do around the theme park. Arf hopes that she can distract her, at least for a little while.

Fate and Arf are riding dolphins next to each-other on a merry-go-round. Arf is laughing, looking at Fate for any signs that she might be enjoying herself. Fate is a quiet girl, but a close look would reveal that she's slightly smiling. For now, at least, Jewel Seeds aren't on her mind.

Naota Uneme has posed:
Half-off! That's what Naota likes to hear. He invited Ataru to come along with him and naturally has his little sister Akari along as well! After all, it's summer! That and mom's not going to be home for a while anyway, so...

Hey, happy thoughts! It's a theme park! Akari is sitting on her big brother's shoulders, kicking her feet occasionally and generally being chipper and adorable. "Onii-chan! We should see the slides again!"

Naota chuckles a little, smiling. "You really like the slides, don't you Akari?" The girl gives an eager nod. Naota looks to Ataru for his thoughts on the matter.

Ataru Touya has posed:
Ataru Touya arrives near Naota. He is wearing a garishly flamboyant haiwain shirt that's open exposing a white t-shirt, and is also wearing short. Also. Sunglasses. He tips the sunglasses upwards as he smiles. "Hello Naota-kun, Akari-chan." he says with a smile. The theme park was a good idea. It's a nice day. Warm. But not so hot that you sweat buckets with even the slightest bit of activity. He lets his sunglasses fall back to his nose.

"The slides are fun." he insists to Naota and Akari. That's his thoughts on the matter.

Also, he's surpressing thoughts that naka-chan might murder him if she caught him in this garish getup. This works fairly well.

Makoto Kino has posed:
"Aaaahh, it's so nice out today!" Makoto's wearing cutoffs over her sensible tank suit; crossing her arms behind her head, she draws in a deep, satisfied breath. It's summer, after all, they couldn't possibly let the season pass without hitting the theme park at least once, and when she'd heard about the half price tickets, she'd all but insisted that Ami come with her.

Now, in the midst of the park's excitement, Mako looks over to her friend with a grin. "So," she says brightly, "what do you want to do now?"

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Fifty percent off? Ikuto's definitely going to take advantage of that. Even if he wasn't much of a swimmer. That's pretty clear in how he's dressed-- blackt-shirt, black jeans, black shoes. It's as relaxed as anyone's ever seen him. But does he even OWN any clothing that isn't black?! Yeesh. You'd think he was goth or something. Ignore the silver cross around his neck...

It's hot, so Ikuto's got a soda he's sipping from. And Yoru's floating over his right shoulder, as usual, looking this way and that. Likely searching for some manner of mischief to get into, the little troublemaker. Ikuto's got something else on his mind, too. As he takes a sip of his soda, as he releases the straw, he calls out softly, "...Yoru."

This breaks the little Guardian Character out of his reverie, and he looks to Ikuto with a questioning expression. "There will be a lot of kids here. Be on the lookout. The Embryo could be here." Or possibly just a very strong heart's egg that he could use. In fact the white violin case his slung over one shoulder, for just such an evenutality.

As for others? Well, Chara Bearers aren't exactly the most difficult to recognize. It's hard to disguise a Guardian Character if another person CAN see them, after all. Really it's just a case of 'either you see them or you don't'. So anyone who's seen Yoru before? Yeah, there he is. And he's with that thin boy with the violin. Said thin boy with the violin is carrying the same violin in fact (though it's in a case). it's very difficult for Ikuto and his partner in crime not to be 'made' in this situation, at least for the magical types here...

Ami Mizuno has posed:
Ami had a bright smile upon her face as well as she wore a one piece swimsuit underneath of her skirt. She couldn't help being conservate, even during the summer. "Well, I wanted to avoid the arcade because of the game corner, but I think we've been on the roller coaster twice now, and I don't think we've been on the ferris wheel." She says looking about the park. "I don't think we've been near the water yet, Mako-chan." She says sipping on some water.

Mint Chip (37) has posed:
The rollercoaster - the most famous one in the park - slowly inches up the side of the massive rise, that most tense part - the waiting before everything happens! Then it screams down the other side, the joyful (and sometimes terrified) sounds of screams echoing through the park.

Meanwhile, on one of the beaches, there's a sudden commotion. Someone seems to be getting pulled under by the riptide - a young boy! The lifeguards are moving towards him - and one of the lifeguards, a big guy no less, starts getting pulled under too! And any magical types about in the immediate area can sense that /something/ is happening - not evil necessarily, but dangerous.

Sakura Kinomoto has posed:
Toya stares stoically up at that roller coaster as it reaches the top of its curve, then goes barrelling downward. If one looks /very/ closely, one might notice the corner of his mouth twitching upward slightly. But, a moment later, he seems to lose interest, staring off toward that mysterious boy dressed all in black. No, more rather, he's staring at a spot right above the stranger's right shoulder...

"Kinomoto, good, you're here!" a voice suddenly calls from behind them, as one of the park's managers emerges from one of the souvenir shops. "Yamada called in sick, so we need another mascot to take his place, and nobody else has responded to our phonecalls..."

A few minutes and some negotiations later, and Toya is standing, stoically, in a puffy blue dolphin costume. Despite Sakura's laughter and Tomoyo's gentle giggling, he is at least content with the fact that he is allowed to follow them and keep an eye on them as long as he does his job.

That being said, it isn't long before Sakura notices a familiar face or two from school, and elsewhere. "Hiii!" she calls out to Ataru and Ami, giving a friendly wave in greeting. It's always good to let people know you remember them!

But, something grabs her attention. Off in the direction of one of the beaches, something that almost seems to call to her. Poking his head out of her backpack, Kero whispers, "Sakura, you feel that? It's..."

"Yeah. A Clow Card?" she whispers back, trying not to draw attention to the small plushie-like creature.

"Yep."

A moment later, she cheerily exclaims, "Alright, let's head to the beach! I wanna go swimming before the sun goes down!" And like that, she's off, running just a /little/ faster than strictly necessary in the direction of that disturbance.

"H-hey! Sakura, slow down!" Toya yells after her, breaking his usually calm demeanor for a second as he takes off after her. Tomoyo, a little surprised, lets out a small sigh before putting on a smile and following at a more leisurely pace, opening a parasol to shield her from the sun beating down on her.

Fate T. Waldia has posed:
Bardiche pings, and Fate's attention turns to the device. Arf is at first disappointed and then let down.

"Really? Is it really a Jewel Seed?" whines Arf.

"We don't know yet," says Fate. "It seems unlikely."

"Good!" Arf perks up, happy. "Then we can just ignore it, right?"

Fate frowns in thought. Arf looks at her, trying to understand what she's thinking. When the merry-go-round comes to an end, Fate hops off of her dolphin. Arf, resigned to do her master's bidding, follows.

They vanish behind a building. Fate activates her barrier jacket. Arf pouts and is about to transform, but Fate stops her. "There might be trouble if they see me with a pet."

The two of them emerge and start flying overhead. They identify the trouble spot, with a boy being pulled under, and a lifeguard as well. Fate holds out Bardiche, the axe-like device, and tries to understand what's going on beneath them.

<Magical powers detected. No Lost Logia detected. Magical Source unknown.>

Fate really frowns now. She can't figure out what's going on. Arf interrupts, "Hey we should do something! Those two are in trouble!"

Fate quietly considers. Will Sealing even work on this? Would it just make it harder for the two swimmers? Bravery isn't a problem for her, but heroism isn't really her strong point. She hesitates.

Naota Uneme has posed:
"Then let's go that w-" Naota pauses, looking dizzy. "I... something's not right. Akari, I need you to climb down now, okay?" He kneels and his little sister oblidgingly steps off, looking vaguely concerned. Finally he sees the source of his dizzy spell, or at least the effects in the form of the panicking crowd and two people in the midst of drowning. What to do, though? He can't leave his sister unattended and there IS a crowd going on. "Ataru, do you feel that?" It's also around this time that he sees Makoto and Ami and tries to give the former a subtle but urgent wave over. As one might imagine, this is a mixed success.

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
It's not Ikuto who notices it. It's Yoru. His ears swivel forward, and he turns his head in the direction of the beach. "Hey, there's something going on at the beach! Let's go check it out, nya!" Ikuto looks in that direction and sees the commotion. Frowns. Gives an affirmative grunt, and then starts heading towards the beach.

Once they get nearer, Ikuto sees the plight of the young boy... and then the lifeguard, and comments, "...Didn't think the current was that strong this close to shore..." He doesn't make any move to jump in after them though. No, tha tlifeguard is literally two of Ikuto. If it's pulling him in, the thin young Seiyou student doesn't have much hope of helping them.

"It's not just that, ikuto... there's something here. Something that shouldn't be, nya." That gets Ikuto's frown to deepen. But ultimately what can they do? Nothing yet...

He's also aware of other people heading towards the beach as well. And ha recognizes a couple face. "...Crap," he mutters under his breath, trying to 'casually' walk to a place he won't be immediately seen...

Ataru Touya has posed:
Ataru Touya looks up a moment, and.... huh. Did something just ping in his head? It's a really weird feeling. Is that.. a mirror demon? No. Something tells him it isn't. A very very strong gut feeling however, that something is wrong. He looks down to Naota and blinks. "Yeah. Hey. You... get Akari someplace safe. Maybe the Dolphin over there will look after her for a minute." he says, motioning over to Toya in a dolphin getup. "I'll go on ahead." he says. He slips behind stalls and pulls out that mirror shard of his.

"Mirror of the Heart... Shine with Truth! Graceful, Passionate Nobility, Prince Phoenix!"

And then a red clad magical boy is now trapising across stalls and booths towards the beach area. He'll probably expect Naota to catch up in a bit. He's on his way! Regardless, it sounds like people are in trouble.

Even if it isn't one of the creepy mirror mask things.

On his way over stands. He has to peek back suddenly to stare down at Ikuto for a moment. Is that... a guy. With a tiny cat? That kinda looks him, but tinyer and also a cat? He turns back around face forward and continues on his merry way. Well. That was. A thing. He saw.

Makoto Kino has posed:
Makoto laughs a little, with a certain sort of good-natured embarrassment. "Ah, sorry," she tells Ami. "I like the roller coaster, but we should make sure to see everything else, too. What do you think, head towards the beach now, and...?"

--her voice trails off mid-question, the smile fading from Makoto's face as she notices that there's some kind of commotion from the direction of the beach, and several people who seem to be hurrying that way. Looking around for the source of the sudden bad feeling, she catches sight of Naota, makes eye contact, and realizes for sure that something is definitely wrong.

"Ami-chan." Her voice has dropped, quiet and confidential and urgent. She doesn't question that her friend must have already realized for herself that something's going down. "We'd better check it out. Hurry and transform, okay?" In the next moment, she's heading for Naota, concern written all over her expression.

Ami Mizuno has posed:
Ami's little mini computer beeps and Ami looks at it. yes, Ami has a mini computer that's waterproof. She looks over towards the rollercoaster area and nods to Makoto. "Right.....over here then." She says as she actually finds a group of small buildings with a nice little alcove.

What a convienent......what's the word?

Plot Device?

That's the one.

Ami tugs Makoto over towards the small alcove and wastes no time in getting that one little thing every magical girl needs.....her pen, and she raises it high.

Mercury Power! Make-Up!

Her finger nails all flash in sequence, then turn blue, before she grasps the pen again, and the symbol spins out of it. A trail of water flows out of the pen, and she slings it over her head then down in front of her, before she spins, leaning back on one leg and lifting the other. She spins into the flow of water, which wraps around her when she stands up. A water ripple effect occurs and she is in her full Sailor uniform. Fturning around, the mercury symbol appears upon her forhead, which turns into a jewel and her tiara materializes slowly into view when she opens her eyes, smiling.

"You ready, Sailor Jupiter?" She says over to Makoto.....fully expecting her to have transformed with her and running out to see what the commotion is about.

Mint Chip (37) has posed:
As everyone moves up, it's almost like the magical entity is sentient, as it rapidly releases the lifeguards and the boy - and for a while, the magic aura in the area seems to dissipate. Though people are a little shaken, most don't even stray out of the beach.

The lifeguards are comforting the boy and finding his parents - but then, suddenly, there's a much bigger disturbance. With no storm in the air, and no clouds in the blue sky, the water suddenly turns very turbulant - sloshing, forming up large waves and crashing onto the swimmers! It's a sudden, sharp change - and all of the 'normal' folks are suddenly running away from the beach!

But for the magically aware visitors, there's a face in the water. With long bangs, puple eyes, and a mouth full of teeth, she's not a happy looking visage.

Sakura Kinomoto has posed:
As Toya runs after his sister, he suddenly finds himself being recruited into looking after someone else's younger sister. "What? Hey, I can't- I have to-" he tries to say, but sighs and gives up. "Okay, but I have to go to the beach, alright?"

Meanwhile, Sakura realizes something is going /very/ wrong down at the beach, as the crowd of people running by can attest. Taking her key-shaped necklace in hand, she looks for a convenient nook to summon the Sealing Wand in... and finds it, right behind that snack bar!

A minute later, she comes flying out on her winged wand, having discarded her outer layer of clothing as well to reveal a cute green frog-themed one-piece swimsuit, complete with face-obscuring goggles! Down below, Tomoyo already has her camera in hand.

As the two of them fly closer to the beach, careful to stay above the waves, Sakura stares down in shock at the face in the water. "Hueeeeeh! W-what is that!?"

"Oh no!" Kero cries out soon after, recognizing the strange being in an instant. "Sakura, that's not just any Clow Card! That's Watery, one of the four elemental cards!"

Sakura looks at the little lion, puzzled. "Huh? Elemental? You mean like Windy? Th-then it should be fine, right? They should be about equal, right?"

Kero shakes his head. "Technically you're right, but Windy's very gentle. Watery is just as aggressive as she is powerful, so this is going to be dangerous!" Screwing his eyes shut and rubbing his chin in thought, he mumbles, "Darn it, I was hoping we wouldn't have to deal with this one so soon. You don't have many options, and the ones you do have aren't going to be very helpful..."

Fate T. Waldia has posed:
Fate purses her lips. The two normals have been released by the... whatever it was. That seems like odd behavior. Attacking them to begin with is odd.

As the water turns turbulent, Fate flies lower.

~Fate, look!~ Fate looks up to Arf, and Arf is pointing at the face in the water.

~Arf, bind it.~

Arf flies lower, getting close to the water face. Will a bind spell even work on such a creature? Well, only one way to find out. Whatever it is seems to be at home in the water, so pulling it out of the water might be the only suitable plan.

Magical circles appear around Arf, one at her feet and the other in front of her. She holds her arms out forward and shouts, "Chain bind!"

Long yellow chains reach out from the magic circle, racing towards the water face in an attempt to wrap around it. If Arf manages to catch the creature, the chains retract, trying to pull the target out of the water.

As for Fate, she's decided that, regardless of the presence or absense of Lost Logia, there's only one way that she knows of to deal with out-of-control magic.

<Sealing Mode> Bardiche's head spins around, and feathery yellow wings of light sprout the base of the axehead. Taking it with her is out of the question, it's too strange and probably not suitable for what mother wants, but maybe she can settle it down.

Fate doesn't start charging yet. She wants to make sure she has a clean shot, first.

Ataru Touya has posed:
Prince Phoenix arrives onto the beach and everyone is getting away from the water because /that's something creepy right there./. He blinks a bit. He's Prince Phoenix. He's fire- And that is. Water.

He's not really feeling particularly good about the way this may go down as Prince Phoenix unseathes his rapier from it's postion on his jauntily tilted belt. "Whatever you're trying to do here, I'm going to put a stop to it!" he calls out pointing the rapier out spectacularly and with meaning!....

.oO(As soon as I figure out how I'm going to do this. Come on Naota... come and hit this thing, his fire isn't really useful here!)

Wait, others are arriving! Oh thank god. /thank god/.

Naota Uneme has posed:
Naota nods to Toya and then to Akari. "Now be good and stay with this man for a little bit, okay?" He leans further down. "Your big sister needs to take care of something." Akari's eyes light up and she nods as Naota speeds away towards Makoto. "Is this one of your youma, do you know? It's not a Mirror Demon." He makes for a conveniently concealed spot, gesturing for Makoto to follow her. "Either way, we should hurry and help." He fishes out his mirror and stares into it to see the truth it shows. "Mirror of the Heart, shine with truth! Invincible Elegant Heroine, Valkyrie Kirin!"

Brilliant yellow light heralds the arrival of the armor-and-dress wearing heroine with the silver scepter. "How should we handle this, senpai?"

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Ikuto is instantly on-guard when the water turns choppy. And Yoru floats up a little more, so he doesn't get hit by that choppy water. Ikuto steps back; if his ears were showing at that moment, they'd be laid back and his tail would be fluffed out. They're not showing YET, mind. But if things keep going as they are, it's only a matter of time.

And sure enough, once that unhappy face shows up in the water, the ears and tail appear, ears laid back and tail fluffed out. Not only that, but right there in the air over his shoulder, Yoru arches his back and HISSES at the face! Evil water-thing! HSSSS!

Ikuto is less arriving and more 'already there'. ut in response to Kero's words-- four elemental cards? Mean as she is powerful? Sounds like this os one of that girl's problems, but even she might not have what it takes to contain it fully. That doesn't bode well-- he DOES do something that might get some attention. Thankfully all the normal people seem to have left since he doesn't even look for a place to hide first before he does this.

"Ore no kokoro: UNLOCK!"

Ikuto's ears and tail disappear, and then Yoru disappears into a black-and-white egg, which merges with his chest. Then Ikuto's body glows, his tail reappears, then his ears, then the glow of his body resolves into another black oufit. Lastly, a long, wickedly-curves claw appears on his right wrist, and a large silver cross appears opn his chest.

CHARA NARI: BLACK LYNX

Makoto Kino has posed:
"I don't know," Makoto admits when Naota asks her if the disturbance is one of the Sailor Senshi's enemies. "Sailor Mercury will be here in a second, she'll be able to tell us. Either way, for right now we need to get over there and see what we're up against!"

She motions Valkyrie Kirin ahead with one hand while the other reaches into her pocket for her henshin pen. She's got to catch up with Ami. Along the way--

"Jupiter Power - Make Up!"

She transforms on the move, a bright flash of flickering light ducking between the back ends of several food stalls. When Sailor Mercury looks back to ask if she's ready, Sailor Jupiter is indeed there, one hand raised to shade her eyes for a clearer view of the indistinct shape of their enemy. "Can you tell if anyone's still in the water?" she asks, urgently. "I don't dare zap it if I'm gonna shock somebody along with it."

Ami Mizuno has posed:
"I don't think there is, Sailor Jupiter." Mercury says as she taps her earring for her visor, and starts to scan the water with the......face? "Uh....Jupiter.....the water has a face. I think if there was anyone in the water, it wouldbe eaten....or something." She then looks to Jupiter. "Uh....I want to try something. It may not work, but it MIGHT help out."

MERCURY AQUA JET!

And she uses one hand to fire out a torrent of water towards the face....whether or not someone is trying to seal it or not. Because weakening it is a good idea.

Mint Chip (37) has posed:
Watery's figure sinks back into the wave, and it crashes towards the beach! Arf attempts to bind it, but her chains find only water, sinking in and sloshing about.

Mercury's aqua jet doesn't find purchase - but the power of the attack does make a hole in the massive wave, and so as it crashes on the beach, the accumulated gathering of Magical Heroes is only made a little wet, rather than having the full force of Watery's wave smashing into them. For a time, she's invisible, but then they can sense her presence under the water, swimming about! Fate and Sailor Mercury get sudden, pressurized blasts from under the water, slicing through the air and at them, and Watery summons up a second wave to swamp the beach!

And as a final aside, she hisses back at Yoru, with the accumulated fury of a hurricane! It's not a fair hissing fight at all.

Sakura Kinomoto has posed:
Sakura looks down again, noticing for the first time the strange, skinny boy on the sand below. "Hey! Watch out!" she yells down at him, but is startled silent by his sudden transformation. "Huh? N-nekomimi!?"

As other magical girls come rushing to the scene in response to the watery menace, Kero finally grins. "Alright, at least we're not alone! Now we just have to find a way to bind Watery so we can seal it- Sakura, where are you going!?"

Flying down to stand on the beach near the others, the young girl dismisses the wings on her wand, twirling it a bit over her head before pointing its tip at the wave. "I can't just sit in safety while other people are risking themselves!" she calls back up to Kero, then lets out a cry of fright as another large wave bears down on the group! But, thanks to Ami, she only ends up getting a slight drenching, thankful that she left her main outfit behind. Glancing about the beach at everyone gathered there, she asks, "Is everyone alright?"

A moment later, she takes advantage of the calm following the wave by summoning one of her cards before her, striking it with the Sealing Wand. "WINDYYYYY!" she calls to it, and the beautiful, feminine form of Windy billows forth to try to wrangle Watery into submission!

Meanwhile, after Naota and his companions have left, Toya picks up Akari and sets her on his back, where a pair of small handles are conveniently located for exactly this purpose. "Alright, time for a piggyback ride. I have to go find someone." And with that, he takes off for the beach again...

Fate T. Waldia has posed:
Fate doesn't really share Jupiter's hesitance with regards to shocking people in the water. On the other hand that might be because Mid-childian magic is non-lethal. It might also be because she can see the water and the fact that most people are leaving it.

Arf's Chain Bind failed. That's too bad. That means it's going to be complicated. Fate is starting to get an understanding of what she's dealing with. It's liquid, like water. It controls the water. If she didn't know any better she would think it was some kind of water-kami.

Fate watches curiously from the sidelines as an unknown person, Sailor Mercury, tries to fight water with water. The wave is blasted back, which diminishes the attack, but the water doesn't seem to be any weaker.

A spout of water flies up at her. Fate is fast, incredibly slow, but at this moment she's distracted. The spout douses her and launches her in the air. When it passes, she's dripping wet, but her barrier jacket seems to have withstood the pressurized blast.

Eugh. Salt water.

~Arf, forget the chains. Set up a barrier.~

~Right!~

A wide barrier forms, the magic clearly coming from Arf. Anyone who can see the bright magic circle underneath her or feel the flows of magic could tell that Arf is doing something over a wide area. The sky darkens, and the civillians vanish. The magical beings in the area seem unaffected, the spell meant less to keep the magicals in and more to keep the civillians out.

Fate herself attempts to counter attack. Water conducts electricity, so what would happen if Fate attempted to shock it?

<Thunder Rage>

"Skip the binds this time."

<Understood.>

A heavy shot of thunder blasts from the tip of Bardiche, racing down to the point that Bardiche and Fate 'feel' Watery at. It might be a long-distance shot, but salt water conducts electricity and Thunder Rage travels as fast as, well, Lightning.

Ataru Touya has posed:
Prince Phoenix jumps back from the beast flooding the beach! (Say that five times fast, I dare you.) and lands out of the water's flooding distance. It's a graceful leap. And he spins during, landing on one foot. Then hrmphs a bit. He can't exactly fly. But he does raises his rapier and with a flick of flame from it's tip, let's loose a thin golden beam from the sword's tip, while calling out... "Allonge!" he calls out, as the beam ignites into red and gold fire, trying to hit this thing under water. Maybe magical fire won't immediatly turn into steam and smoke.

He looks backwards! Yesssss, here comes Kirin with backup. Now maybe there's a chance!

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
It's a good thing Ikuto Character Transformed, otherwise Yoru would probably have run away at that hiss. Fortunately Ikuto pre-empted that! So yes... nekomimi! And claws, too! On one arm, anyway.

And then suddenly a wave of water is coming at the group, him included! He does leap back, but not fast enough to avoid getting soaked. And as he lands, in a bestial crouch, his ears go back.

Uh-oh. Angry wet cat.

Others may be trying to seal or bind it... but Ikuto's not. Ears still pinned back, he draws his right arm back, then snaps it forward again, with a growl. Slashes of energy emit from those slash, at the card. That is very definitely not a non-lethal attack!

Naota Uneme has posed:
Valkyrie Kirin nods to Jupiter. "They're getting out of the water. But... a water monster?" She frowns. "I'm not sure I know how to fight that." Briefly she wonders if this is the kind of RPG where water monsters take more from lightning attacks or the kind where they're slowed by ice. Not that she's got access to either!

In that case, she's got one other trick up her sleeve: trash talk! "Oi! Kappa! Over here!" She grins and sticks out her tongue at it. "If you want someone to hit, why don't you try me?" There's hopping and gestures involved: Naoko's pretty good at infuriating people when she wants to, it seems. Of course, it remains to be seen if Clow Cards respond to that sort of thing.

Makoto Kino has posed:
Sailor Jupiter honestly isn't quite sure how to tackle this one either, but she won't get anywhere just standing around. At least between Sailor Mercury's assurance and the magical barrier that Fate has laid down, she can be sure there aren't any helpless bystanders in the line of fire.

She flicks a quick salute to her teammate and flashes an equally quick grin in Kirin's direction, and then Jupiter orients her focus on the shape in the water. Lightning seems way too risky in this situation - gathering her strength, Sailor Jupiter springs into the air, borne upwards by the sudden wind that kicks up around and beneath her in a flutter of brightly-colored petals.

She was able to join her Flower Hurricane's strength with Sakura's Windy before. It can't hurt to try it again now.

Ami Mizuno has posed:
*BLOOSH*

Is the sound that hits Sailor Mercury when the wave hits her. She's not even surprised so she's able to hold her breath just in time. "Well....that didn't work." She says starting to tap more buttons on the computer, even as the water recedes. Whe looks up as Jupiter tries her flower hurricane attack, and smiles as it combines with Sakura's Windy, or the attempt anyways. "Hmmm......." She says trying to scan for where the card is. "Not to state the obvious, Jupiter, but it does seem to be quite fond of the water. Is there a way to.....separate it from the ocean?"

Mint Chip (37) has posed:
Watery rises from the ocean to hiss again, first at Naota, as though it can understand his taunts - and thats when it spots, for the first time, Sakura's sealing wand. That's when it goes from hostile to outright full of rage, its eyes practically bulging from its magical water frame!

It ducks back down in time to dodge the blast of heat from Prince Phoenix, which does kick up a great deal of steam to little effect. The blades from Ikuto similarly slice water rather than Water...y.

Fate, on the other hand, has an elemental advantage here, as anyone who has played Pocket Monsters would know. Thunder Rage strikes down upon the water, and the electricity spreads through it! In order to avoid the attack, Watery jumps high out of the water...

Which is where it is caught up by the combined attack of Sakura and Sailor Jupiter, pushing it through the air and buffeting it with powerful flower petals!

Watery's only recourse would be to dive back into the electrified water - or, as it does, to bring up a third wave! This wave though is born of the creature's desperation and as it rolls towards the group, is almost of tsunamic proportions! The only way to stop it may be to stop Watery herself as she floats in the air!

Ami Mizuno has posed:
Ami looks up and......eep! "Uh......Jupiter? Water and lightning down't mix! I'm gonna try and stop this Tsunami!" She taps a few buttons fairly quickly and........"Definitely hit it there." She then puts the computer away, cupping her hands in front of her.

SHABOU!

She turns and crosses her arms behind a growing point of light.

SPRAY!

she sweeps her arms through the point of light with fires numerous small globes of water towards certain points at the base of the Tsunami.....and explode like concussion grenades. Break the base of the Tsunami, and it'll drop straight down instead of on the town, and them.

Or that's the theory anyways......

Sakura Kinomoto has posed:
The combined assault seems to be having an effect on Watery, much to Sakura's excitement. Yes, they can win this! There's nothing that Watery can do now!

Except bring an /even bigger/ tsunami at them! "H-hueeeeeeh!" Sakura cries out as Windy is helpless against the force of the tidal wave, and Kero shouts her name, unable to do anything. It seems it's all over...!

But, while Ami tries her bubble bombs, another person enters the fray! Wearing a bright blue dolphin outfit, Akari on his back, Toya charges in without a second thought and snatches Sakura up in his arms, turning on his heel to sprint back toward the park! "EVERYBODY, RUN! /NOW/!" he roars at the rest of the group as he barrels across the sand.

Once she gets over her shock, Sakura sets her mind to thinking. How /can/ they slow Watery down, or even better, stop her? Even that one girl's lightning didn't seem to do more than anger the card.

Unfortunately, weighed down as he is by two young girls, Toya is not running quite as fast as he could, especially with his bulky costume on. It would be an easy matter for Watery to catch up...

Fate T. Waldia has posed:
Fate flies higher above as the waves rush underneath her, her speed carrying her to safety. Electricity seems to work, to an extent, as does wind. Which is good, because electricity is kindof Fate's thing.

~Arf-chan, cover me~

Arf, still in her human form, appears in front of Fate arms stretched out. A magical barrier appears before her.

Fate doesn't really know about Sakura's sealing power. She only knows that this Watery creature needs to be sealed.

Fate aims Bardiche at Watery, as magical lightning gathers into the reversed axehead of her device. The yellow arcane power gathers into an orb. When it reaches its cresendo, Bardiche announces the spell.

<Sealing>

Arf drops the barrier long enough for the spell to go through. The orb becomes a beam, and the beam races towards Watery. The magical spell is powerful, but it's not meant to do damage. It's meant to subdue and, as the name implies, seal a magical artifact into a more managable form.

Ataru Touya has posed:
Prince Phoenix is Graceful, Passionate-- but there's really nothing about being particularly smart in that. He watches as his attack turns into sizzling steam. Yeah. Magic Fire apparently still folows... physics? or something. Thermodynamics? He doesn't even know.

He does blink though, is Kirin trying to... taunt the thing!? He leaps up over there by her side for a moment.

"Hey!.. Uh! I've seen water in bathtubs more dangerous than you!" he says, joining in Kirin's attempt to get it to respond to something.

"Kirin, I don't think this is working." he asides in a whisper to her. "Also, my fire is pretty useless here. Want me to swim out and try to... hit it.. or something?" he asks to her.

Naota Uneme has posed:
Valkyrie Kirin raises her scepter. "Behind me, guys! STALWART EMERALD!" Once more the scepter comes alight with a pulsing green glow that trails away behind like the head of a comet, enveloping Naoko and anyone behind her in its protective light. Any jets of water it tries to throw will likely bounce right off.

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Other than shoot those energy slashes, there's not a whole lot Ikuto can do. That huge wave of water... he's got to do something. But if he gets in the water with that thing he's in its domain. And there's not a lot of options for him if he's in the water.

What else can he do? Ikuto just repeats his attack from before. Not just once, either. He really can do nothing but unleash wave after wave of energy slashes at the thing in the water. If not hitting Watery, possibly making a dent in the oncoming wave of water.

He's close enough to Naoko's barrier that he should be able to leap behind it if his plan of at least destabilizing the oncoming wall of water fails too catastrophically. Not that it will probably matter-- the barrier might not hold against that much water...

Makoto Kino has posed:
It's working! --Sailor Jupiter gets a couple of seconds to feel pleased at the success of her and Sakura's combined efforts before Watery calls up that massive wave in retaliation, and then her eyes go wide in sudden alarm. That... looks bad.

With only a moment to make her decision, she reacts on instinct. Lightning won't help here; instead, Jupiter falls back on her other main strength. Propelled by the last gust of her petal-laden wind, she dives, sending herself hurtling shoulder- and fist-first toward the onrushing wave to impact the wall of water with the full force of all of her considerable strength. It's the very definition of futility, but if she can help break up the wave even a little bit more--

Mint Chip (37) has posed:
It is only through the combined efforts of everyone - Ikuto's slashes, Mercury's Shabou Spray striking it, and Sailor Jupiter's incredibly bold strike at the base of the wave - makes it collapse. There's still a huge volume of water coming, but they've saved Uminari City from a major disaster! The water comes in hard, swamping the beach - it's only Valkyrie Kirin's defensive shield that keeps the group above water!

The group except Toya, who is caught - weighed down by two girls - in the crash of the wave! The costume keeps him mostly afloat, but there's some concern for Sakura and for Akari!

Fate's energy begins to seal Watery, and she hisses... but begins to take shape, returning to a card... for only a brief moment! This might have worked on other cards, but being one of the Four Elements, Watery is one of the prides of Clow Reed's magic, and it's simply too different from Mid-Childan for a mage like fate to seal right now!

Bardiche likely chirps a warning as Watery returns to her form, though weakened from the effort, and begins to shift forward - now out of the water - her efforts focused on Sakura, beliving she had just tried to seal her! Watery herself becomes a massive blast of pressurized water, heading for Sakura, Akari, and Toyua like a dangerous missile!

Fate T. Waldia has posed:
Fate's Sealing magic seems to be working at first, turning the creature into a card.

~Well I guess we know it's not a Jewel Seed~ muses Arf.

The sealing doesn't last long. It wasn't that there wasn't enough power to it, Fate considers after reading the data from Bardiche. The spell itself was incorrect. Well she can't say she didn't suspect that might happen.

Arf takes Fate's side. "So what do we do?"

Fate's response is so quiet only Arf's ears can likely pick it up. Especially since she's so distant from everyone else. "... it's going for the others."

"Eh. It's their problem." Arf shrugs.

"It could hurt the park..."

"Ah! I didn't think of that! So what do we do?"

Fate considers, then aims Bardiche at Watery, tracking its path. <Device Mode> announces the device as the axehead spins into its default position.

"Photon Lancer"

<Get Set>

"Fire"

Bardiche pings, and four electrically charged magical orbs fire. Each one travels towards Watery , sweeping and dodging between the buildings and people as they fly nearby. When they get close, the orbs converge upon and then surround Watery. If Watery avoids them, they try to herd her into a corner where she can't escape. If Watery tries to go through them, Fate just lets all four of them hit her at once to overwhelm her with electrical power.

Ami Mizuno has posed:
Mercury withdraws as quickly as she can while still scanning Watery as best she can, which is pretty good. However, she looks up towards Sakura and then looks towards Jupiter. "Jupiter! Can your wind blossom cut the water pressure! think like cutting a hose!"

Sakura Kinomoto has posed:
As hard at Toya tries, he just can't get away from the wave in time. As it crashes down around him, he holds on tightly to Sakura to keep her from floating away, trying his hardest to keep her head above water. However, in doing so, he loses track of Akari, who ends up being carried off!

Once the water has receded somewhat, Toya stands up and sets his sister down on the sand, coughing up water. But despite this, he doesn't hesitate to turn right back around once he notices the small weight gone from his back, searching desperately for the other girl. "Stay here. I need to go find her." he tells Sakura, heading back toward the withdrawing tide in search of Naota's sister.

Sakura, unsure of who exactly he's talking about, instead turns her focus toward Watery, who is now angrily advancing toward her. "H-hueeeeh! What do I do!?" she yelps, only for Kero to float down to settle on her shoulder, offering a reassuring pat on her cheek.

"She's weakened, Sakura. That other mage, the one with the lightning, hit her hard. Now's your chance, take your Sealing Wand in hand and strike while she's showing her true form!" he says, clenching one of his paws into a little fist.

Breathing deeply to calm herself, Sakura nods and raises her wand above her head. "Card created by Clow, abandon your old form and reincarnate under the name of your new master, Sakura!" she chants, bringing her wand down to strike at Watery at the same moment that Fate fires her lightning blasts!

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
In the meantime the wave of water, while disrupted enough that it doesn't cause massive property damage, catches Ikuto and carries him some distance away. He's at least smart enough to hold his breath, and so when the water recedes he's not completely drowned. He is however, not only soaked, but bruised from the rather unpleasantly rough trip. His cat-ears are still pinned back, and as the water recedes, he sits up, shaking his head from side to side sharply, to clear the water from his ears.

He's about to get back in there now that this watery thing has left its safe haven, but then Sakura looks like she's doing something that might work. So he waits. though he's in aslight crouch. Because if Sakura's thing doesn't work? He's going to be very mean to Watery...

Mint Chip (37) has posed:
There's a circular burst of energy from the end of Sakura's card, and instead of trying to get away, Watery has dived right into it! She tries to execute a turn, to get away from Sakura's sealing magic, and is almost clawing her way through the air, a testament to her immense strength!

But it's not to be - especially not when Fate's Photon Lancer boxes her back in and she shrieks back - putting her within the Sealing Key's range. Hissing the /entire/ time like an angry cat, she tries one last time to escape, but fails... and rapidly shrinks into her convienient carrying size. The card flutters, and falls to the sandy beach.
