Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
Earlier in the week, Eilam had sent a text to Norie, mentioning that today he was going to be eating at the restaurant in the Hotel Augusta and if she wanted to come along, she was welcome to. Also made note to mention if she didn't have anything to wear or wanted to bring others(presumably family) or whatnot, he could pay for such things. Then again for all he knew she could magic clothes onto herself or something, but the offer was still there. Then again, Eilam was as much as he ever was on his own time schedule. Which was to say he was a bit early and hadn't really bothered to wait. It wasn't a date, he was offering to get her something to eat and if she wanted to come or talk, the choice was hers.

Which was why he was currently seated at a table near the back, just him at the moment with places for others, the black and silver-trimmed stave leaning against the chair next to him. As ever he was dressed looking like he was impressing others, though that was more for his own taste, the designer suit and attire easily looking the part of someone much more successful and older than he was, the slightly tired look on his face as he idly ate at an appetizer. The current choice of food was a sampling of Gruyere-and-Parmesan Beignets, a glass of Coca Cola of all things next to him. Hi class... and low. Well, he was ordering for his tastes, not others perceptions.
Norie Okana has posed:
Eilam is asking Norie out for dinner and it isn't a date. IT ISN'T A DATE. Norie has been worried about particulars in recent days for a few reasons in her head. She tells her parents that she is going out for dinner with a friend. They hesitantly agree if only because 'going out for dinner with a friend' is better news than 'mope around and stare at a wall' like she used to.

She stops by the manor to get dressed into more fancier clothes.

She catches Jiaying along the way who gets invited along because IT ISN'T A DATE. She seems adamant to continue to insist this to herself.

Maybe it makes her feel better about something.

She arrives into the dining hall of the Augusta in a fanciful dress aswell as shifted into Lacrima because she likes the air of mystery it gives her. 'Who is that lovely pale, purple haired girl that reeks of faint nobility?'.

She gently asks the concierge where her friend is and they are led to Eilam's table. She bows and sits herself.

"Hello Eliam-kun. What's that you have there?" she asks softly, eyeing his food and drink choices.

Something fancy. And Coca-Cola.
Jiaying Maki has posed:
Jiaying Maki at least dressed up in her qipao and pulled her hair back. This is marred by the fact that she's also wearing a hoodie over it, but it's cold and that dress isn't super warm. The real concern for Norie is probably the fact that she's experimenting with her illusion magic, trying to twist the hoodie to be not-there. That way she has pockets, she has a cute dress and she doesn't spend the night shivering. Inbetween bouts of chanting and working on hand gestures, she'll glance over and ask such awkward questions like, "So why are you going on a date? I won't say anything, but shouldn't you talk to her first?" and, "If this is actually a date, I'm going to hide your dresses in the manor for a week. That's so awkward."

She seems distracted though, more than anything. Like she's trying to stay distracted even. She had come home earlier with a new bandage, some scrapes and bruises and an embarassed look and Norie wasn't there at the apartment so she didn't even get a rant!

Then they make it to the restaurant proper and she glances around curiously, wandering alongside Norie until she waves to Eilam and stands there. There's a faint whisper of, "No really, this better not be a date."
Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
"Ah... so you did decide to come. I was curious if you would." He doesn't say anything too specific as the server was there as well, pulling out a place for Norie, as well as Lacrima, and making sure to last-minute tidy up the plates and silverware and so forth. The remark from Lacrima didn't quite get caught by Eilam, so he just nodded her way. "Hello to you too. It would seem she took me up on the offer to bring others along. It has been a bit, miss fox. And..." towards Norie, he does something that was a bit unusual for him, though they might not know such, he picked up one of the toothpicks that were laying on the plate of appetizers and speared one, putting it on a smaller accompanying plate and offering it towards her.
"A beignet, if you are unfamiliar think of it like a fancier doughnut. These are far more savory, Gruyere and Parmesan - two types of cheese- mixed into the pastries." Of note he didn't stand up, however. Perhaps one could blame his health. Or manners. ...lack thereof. Hard to say which. "Order whatever you wish, the both of you." a pause, and he motions a hand slightly to his drink, "Soda. No need to watch my waistline."
Menus were set out for Jiaying and Norie both, and full chair and table service offered to them.
Norie Okana has posed:
Norie loudly insisted that this wasn't a date. IT ISN'T A DATE. Norie is disagreeing too much. Maybe she wants it to be a date but it actually isn't. Who knows.

She still needs to sort her confused feelings out on the matter entirely. Regardless they are here now.

She hrmmms. "I see. No I prefer my donuts sweet. I will have..." she looks at the menu.

"Oh, Paella. And some water. Just water." she says as she closes the menu and then looks to Jiaying.

What will she get? Fancy restaurant means fancy things. Though Europe seems to be the focus of the menu to some degree.

She frowns as Jiaying whispers about it not being a date.
Jiaying Maki has posed:
Jiaying Maki watches Eilam when he calls her miss fox. "Please don't. I know I've asked you not to bring that up when there's a crowd." She gestures around and then bties her tongue and stops. She's a bit grumpier than she had been before. Still she does eventually offer a nod to him, as close to a bow as she'll allow here before settling down at about the same time as Norie, both out of politeness and to avoid seeming too eager to get free food. Even if at least one of them there is well aware of what her appetite is like.

Looking the menu over slowly, she eventually looks over and says bluntly, "I don't know what any of this is." she eventually flips back and forth, eyes closed and a ghostly hand darts out and points at something. Apparently this is a common game? Not that she eats out that often. She pokes her finger at the same spot and says, "Duck confit. That's not bits of duck thrown in the air right?" At least it's in Japanese. Anything in English she skips right over. She won't even admit she can't read a word of it to Norie.

For a drink tea! Just hot tea, because tea is tea!

The offer for food though, a fancier donut. Eventually she reaches out and takes a bite of it out of curioisty, but doesn't really comment on the taste. She does munch it down though.
Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
"Duck Confit, a classic French dish. Typically it is duck prepared using the entirety of the bird, here I imagine it will be pre-brined and prepared so they can take it out and cook it." Eilam remarked in Japanese before nodding to the waiter, "Confit de Canard, avec pommes de terre la sarladaise s'il vous plait, pour la jeune femme." pointedly in French with a soft pause after before giving a soft 'ahem'. "Sorry about that... habit. The last time I ate that was when I traveled through France."

He refrained from specifying exactly how far back was. "Asked him to bring you some duck fat-roasted potatos as well to go along with it, if you do not want them I suppose the two of us could have some. ...or I can, they are quite nice." Norie's Paella order was taken, though he did add to that, "Would you prefer a more traditional Valencian Paella, or chefs choice of Paella?" The waiter looks between the two to see if there was anything else they wanted, as he asked his question.
Norie Okana has posed:
Lacrima merely says. "Chef's choice." and leaves it at that. She places her hands down on the table and head tilts. She does not find it surprising that Eilam speaks French. She would not be very surprised if he spoke any number of languages.

You live a long time, you learn things.

"Duck is a good choice." she says at Jiaying.

She looks toward's Eilam. "How are you doing Eilam-kun. Have you been experiencing any after effects of the.. recent situation?" she asks.
Jiaying Maki has posed:
Jiaying Maki tilts her head from one side to the other, listening to the French. "I've heard the word pomme before. That's the..." she holds her hands up, "The fruit that has the little red seeds." Then he mentions that it was when he went through France and she asks, "Before or after el-hrk." She catches herself and glances over. Maybe she should have finished. Norie has to know and he does keep calling her miss fox!

The duck fat roasted potatos gets something of a shrug from the fox. "I like potatos. Not that I eat them very often."

Back to Norie, she nods and says, "It's like chicken, but not." beat, "Also I need to see if I can actually cook duck. Mother used to a lot."
Eilam Hisakawa has posed:
The waiter nodded at them then stepped away to go put the order in, Eilam taking back the previously offered beignet to eat it himself. Since Norie didn't want it. "Before or after what? Also... if you truly do not wish me to call you that, what would you want me to call you? You've seemed a bit... prickly at me even though I thought it obvious I am hardly the type to bother others, or you for that matter, so I imagined you would rather I not call you by your name? It is your choice in that regard."

Though he paused and consumed the other half of the pastry and took a short drink before answering Norie rather simply with a bit of a nod. "I have no way to know for certain, but at times, I have found myself more tired than normal. Part of me wants to try and solve this by myself, to prevent further problems from occuring, but I do not remotely know where to begin."
