Cast of Characters: | Ikuto Tsukiyomi, Daisuke Hansuke |
- Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
"Ikuto, Ikuto! It's this way-nya! Hurry!"
This declaration is mostly a silent one, as it's Yoru. So few people can see him. But the one to whom he's calling, a blue-haired teenage boy lagging behind him, can hear him just fine. "...It's Sunday," he reminds his diminutive feline companion. "There's no reason for anybody to be here."
"But I wanna check anyway-nya!" Yoru responds. "He fixed the puppy up really nice, so maybe he can help Kobun, too-nya!"
Ikuto looked down at the cat in his arms. It lay still, but it seemed to be just sleeping. However, several cuts and bruisescould be seen on the poor thing's body. They're minor, but they're probably still painful. "Cats get in fights all the time," Ikuto notes.
"I WANNA CHECK!" Yoru declares loudly, flailing a bit in the air.
Ikuto sighs a bit. "Fine. But if he's not here we go home."
"Right!" Yoru replies. "Hansuke! Hansukeeeeeee! Where are you? We need your help-nya!"
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Daisuke Hansuke had an animal to feed and check up on. "I hope Kuroki-san knows what she's gonna do with you, pup..." he spoke to the dog in the cage. He just changed the paper, fed and watered him and played with him a little bit. Just because it's Sunday doesn't mean dogs don't need taken care of! If there wasn't an animal in here---- Daisuke probably would had been in his dorm room. Luckily, he's doing the evening check when there's an animal in here!
He huhs and hears a voice--it's /easy/ to hear Yoru because the hallway and club rooms are otherwise bare!
Daisuke peeks out from the open room. "Eh...?"
"Down here." he says as he waves a little. "What's wrong?" he asks. peek down at the figure in Ikuto's arms. He can't get a good look yet. Hrm.
- Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
It's also easy to hear Yoru because he's a loudmouth! But that helps in the end. "AH-HA! See, what'd I tell ya-nya!?" Yoru heads towards where he heard Daisuke's voice from. "Hansuke, Kobun got into a fight! She's got scratches all over and she says it hurts-nya!."
Not too long after that, Ikuto appears, having followed Yoru, but a bit slower. "Didn't expect anybody would be here on a Sunday," he observes. "Yoru wanted to bring Kobun to you to look at."
This close, it's easier to see. It's a mink-coated Tonkinese, and said coat has visible scrapes and scratches on it. Certainly looks like she was in a fight. Thankfully she doesn't look too hurt.
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Daisuke Hansuke peeks down at the cat. "Hello .. Yoru was it? And Ikuto?..." he frowns. He remembers what Hotori-san said about these two. This cat was not to be trusted. He pulls the table out and place down papers. He takes the cat and places her down on the paper. He begins to examine. "Is she awake?" he asks, tilting the cat's head up. He pulls up a little scope and a light. "Cuts... is it just the cuts, Yoru?" he asks softly.
He sighs and walks over and grabs an open kit, walks over to another storage and gets a prepared small antibiotic syringe.
"So Ikuto. I met someone who said you're quite the troublemaker. That true?" he asks as he begins to slowly begin cleaning cuts carefully.
"Just careful now.... let her know this might sting a little, but it'll help..." he murmurs.
- Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Ikuto nods, confirming the question of the names. Yoru seems pretty happy! "THANK YOU-NYA!" he declares loudly. It is SUCH a good thing the people who can actually see and hear him are so limited.
"...Yoru, you're being noisy," Ikuto complains as he hands the cat off to Daisuke. On the other hand, as he steps back, he does offer to the other boy, "If you need help, let me know."
"She slept on the way here, but she's awake now-nya," Yoru replies. And sure enough the cat stirs as Daisuke takes her. In fact, she starts to squirm a little. Yoru comes to the rescue, though. "Kobun, sit still! He's gonna help you-nya!" The cat stills. "Good, now sit still, he's gonna put somethin' on you that's gonna sting. But you gotta do it-nya! That's an order!"
Who knew someone could successfully herd cats?
Ikuto leans against a wall nearby, but out of the way, as he regards Daisuke's question. "...The little king, I bet. Only one person would go out of his way to make sure everyone knows what he thinks," he says with a smirk. "Word of advice? Don't ever say the word 'prince' around him." That is diversion tactics right there. He carefully avoided actually answering the question.
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Daisuke Hansuke smiles. "Thank you." he says, carefully cleaning cuts. Making none are deep. Some are a little more open than others. Those get cleaned and a band-aid. He keeps doing this as he goes over all the cuts.
He splays the fur and wipes the skin as he gives the cat the antibiotic shot. No infection chance. He doesn't like wasting shots- but there was an ill animal in here this week and he'd rather be safer than sorry.
He speaks. "You avoided the question, but okay." he says as he checks the cat over. "Keep her out of fights. The larger wounds have been bandaged, the smaller ones'll be fine in a day or two. I've given her a shot---it should stop any infection." he says softly as he begins to take care of the trash and the first aid kit.
He gets a dish of water, and some dry cat food and places it in front of the cat. He crosses his arms.
"Hotori-san. Yes. I was pointed there when I had a question about well----" he motions. "'Tiny catboys'." he says softly.
- Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
the cat squirms a little at some of the larger cuts, but Yoru settles her down with, "HEEEEY! I said stay still-nya! He's helping you!" When Daisuke is done, yoru looks up at him with big, shiny eyes. "Hansuke, thank you so much-nya!" he gushes as he lands next to the cat and starts checking her over. Talking with her too, if what he's seeing is any indication.
In the meantime the cat sniffs at the food and water. She seems thirsty. Though that's not surprising if she was just in a fight.
Ikuto echoes, though in rather less spastic a fashion, "...Thanks. She's the beta of Yoru's little band. He'd be pretty upset if he lost his right-paw cat."
Though... THEN he addresses that question. And it's a really abrupt shift of mood, from placid and quiet to smug. "...So what did he say?" Meaning Tadase. "Did he say I'm the Black Cat of Misfortune?" There is a bitter undertone to his words, carefully hidden underneath an almost pleased-with-himself tone. Brittle and bitter. Daisuke could catch it if he's listening closely enough. Or observing Ikuto; there's a brittle edge to his smile.
That's his front coming up again, and even Yoru pauses in checking on Kobun as he looks up at Ikuto. There's a sad look on his face, and he's strangely silent.
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Daisuke Hansuke tsks. "He told me some things. Luckily Hotori-san's opinions are not my opinions. My opinions are my own." he says. "You were wanting to help a hurt dog, and brought me a hurt cat." he says. "I can only really operate off those assumptions that you have some form of kindness within you Ikuto." he says. "Even though Hotori-san seems to disagree." he says as he gives the cat a quick chin scritch.
"He told me you steal dreams." he says softly.
"Is that true?" he asks. "If so.... why?" he asks.
- Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Oh yes, the cat does indeed enjoy chin scritches. For being an alley cat, she's remarkably well-mannered toward humans. This may have something to do with Yoru's influence. Then again he's quite the little troublemaker himself. So it's hard to say.
It's a lifeline. Ikuto doesn't really want Tadase so angry at him. If he tells the truth here, Daisuke could tell Tadase, and he could patch things up. But... at the same time he knows Tadase as well as the would-be king of the world knows himself. Tadase would try to help, he'd get a bunch of people involved... and they'd all get hurt. And Ikuto doesn't want that.
He's silent for a moment after Daisuke's question. The play of emotions across his face is subtle-- a distant look and a hint of a displeased furrowing of his eyebrows is about it. But they're there. Yoru's shoulders slump a little, and his ears lower slightly. He turns back to gently pat Kobun on an uninjured shoulder. Because he knows what Ikuto's going to say.
"...He's right." Ikuto smirks, and straightens from the wall, his arms still crossed over his chest. "They're wasted on those who won't chase them, who doubt. So why not use their power to make MY dream come true?"
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Daisuke Hansuke listens for a moment as he keeps his arms crossed. "No dream is wasted, Ikuto." he says softly. "The dreams of others are thier dreams. I think they can give you power- but only when shared willingly. Taking them. Stealing them? I don't think you'll get where you want to be." he says. "But that's my opinion of course." he says.
"Maybe you should try sharing your dream with someone else." he says. He doesn't ask what that is. It's a personal matter of course! His tone isn't judging. It's more of the suggestive variety.
Huh? He peeks at the desk. He'd been so busy he didn't notice the letter at the front desk. He picks it up and unfolds it and reads it a little with a neutral expression for now.
- Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
'Share your dream with someone else'.
He suddenly remembers Mikoto. The things she said while they... well, they were talking past each other, really. Speaking in half-truths, but knowing what the other meant. She said the same thing, though not quite the same way. She has a lot of the same problems he does. Trapped by family ambitions it sounds like she doesn't want any part of, forced to conform to what they wanted and not allowed to pursue her own dreams.
She's trapped too. Caged. Like he is. She'd understand. But maybe that's the problem. She'd get herself hurt trying to help him, and then her family would be even more ridiculous with enforcing their will on her. He'd ruin her life too.
Just like the Black Cat he is...
Outwardly, whatever he's thought about has changed his mood immediately. He's quiet. The silence is a long one. Definitely long enough to Daisuke to read at least a bit into that letter.
"...I can't."
Not 'won't'. Can't. He's not saying why. But he's confident in that; his tone is firm, even if it's rather quiet for a kid who just basically confessed to being something of a monster.
- Daisuke Hansuke has posed:
Daisuke Hansuke listens as he frowns and folds the letter up and places it into his coat softly. He doesn't seem inclined to share it's contents. He does taps his far arm as he frowns a little at Ikuto. "I see." he says as he nods.
He understands the different between I won't and can't. There could be many reasons he can't. Also. Lying is a thing. For all he knows, Ikuto is trying to protect someone precious---or maybe, just himself. But in the end. That's not his decision.
It's Ikuto's.
"I can't claim to know you in any way that I haven't met myself Ikuto. I think there's someone kind underneath all that, but if you do---"
"'Steal Dreams', then--- well others are going to stop you. I cannot." he says softly.
He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. "Is your cat friend going to be okay or is there something more I can do?" he asks with a smile softly.
- Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Ikuto's staying quiet. After a moment, he closes his eyes. "...I know," he says quietly. He hopes they do; he's counting on it. Others might be his last hope of stopping Easter.
However, he recognizes the question for what it is-- a request to leave. "I'm sure she'll be fine. Thank you." A look to the Guardian Character who has been unusually silent to this point. "Yoru."
Yoru gives an affirmative grunt. "Let's go, Kobun," he says to the cat. She meows, and then hops down to the ground as Yoru floats over to Ikuto. Ikuto turns and makes to leave. But he stops as he does. He doesn't turn to face Daisuke. But he speaks. "...If you really want to know... Tadase can tell you everything. Maybe it's just what he thinks, but he had to get his opinions from somewhere."
That said, the odd procession of boy, Guardian Character, and cat heads out of the room and down the hallway.
