Meeting of a Knight and a Mage!
Date of Scene:	05 December 2015
Location:	Uminari City - Central Harbor
Synopsis:	Nanoha crashes in on a practicing Storm Knight!

Suzuki Natsume has posed:
     Off and on for the past half hour or so, there have been occasional flares of magical energy. It wasn't particularly well-hidden, and there didn't seem to be any other flares of energy to accompany it. Luckily, it wasn't a particularly /dark/ energy either!

     Following those flashes of energy would lead one down to a distant end of the beach, a place beyond where most people bother treading because the beach is covered in rocks and debris that far down the beach, and it is a long trek-- at least an hour from where people would normally be on the beach, and that's if you're moving at a relatively fast pace.

     "Alright, I've recovered from the last one. Verdrehen Sturm, simulate another cartridge at one-half strength."

                <JAWOHL.>

     Another flare of magic, and Suzuki Natsume flinches slightly, gripping hard at the wooden Naginata in her hand, lightning flashing along its length as she discharges the energy. She breathes slowly, her grip loosening slowly as she moves gradually. It wasn't the most glorious of training, nor was it anything but basically brute strengthing her way through it. She gives a slow exhale, resting on a piece of relatively smoothe driftwood, rubbing sweat from her brow.

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi was basically practicing 'flight'. She had those glowing pink winglets from her shoes and she was in her barrier jacket. She had that pink and white staff, Raising Heart, in her hands as she practiced. It was... a straight line. "Okay...let's try... something daring...." she mutters!....

"Loop de!....."

Nanoha comes tumbling down from the sky and lands face first into the sand somewhere to Suzuki's right about twenty feet. She lands with a resounding thud. Her barrier jacket, luckily, protects her from heavy damage. She slowly forces herself up as-- a sudden flare of magic nearby sends her reeling!

"Ah!? An Attack!" she says.

<Simulation Detected.>, Chimes Raising Heart, it's way of suggesting. 'Not an actual attack.'.

"A simulation?..."

She peeks over at the other girl. Squint.

"Hi?" she says. Well this is awkward.

Suzuki Natsume has posed:
                <EINGEHEND.>

    As Nanoha comes tumbling out of the sky and towards the ground... Suzuki Natsume turns slightly towards the incoming Nanoha Takamachi as she lands in the sand. Luckily, it seemed, in one of the less rocky areas of it. And the girl freaks out about an attack? Hmm. She seemed to calm quickly enough. "...That looks like a Knight Armor." Suzuki comments as she begins to walk towards Nanoha, her Naginata aimed towards the ground, rather than towards Nanoha. As she approaches, her hand is lifted!

     But it is definitely not in an attack, but rather in an offer of a hand up for the younger woman. "Are you alright? ...That looked unpleasant." Suzuki gives a somewhat awkward smile towards her, "Hello." Being a member of Seishou Public, it would likely be easy for Nanoha to recognize Suzuki as the rumored and/or fabled Shy Helper of Seiyou. If she paid attention to rumor and stories around, at any rate.

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi is helped up, she accepts the help and sighs and bows politely. "Hello. Thank you! I'm alright. I tried to.. loop." she says. "But I didn't 'de loop'?" she says. "So.. I came down." she says. She head tilts.

Nanoha? Gossip!? and Rumors!? Never. Well. Maybe second hand. Thtough her rich gossipy friends. But still. She doesn't know what she looks like.

However, that doesn't stop her from introducing herself anyways.

"I am Nanoha Takamachi, 3rd year in Seishou Public." she says, as she bows politely.

She head tilts. "Who are you?" she asks back politely.

Suzuki Natsume has posed:
     "It sounds -- and looked -- as if you lost balance and instead of performing a loop, you tumbled." Suzuki says softly, releasing Nanoha's hand shoftly after she stands, giving a polite bow in return. "It is nice to meet you, I am Suzuki Natsume, in 9th year of Seyou Public." Suzuki says, straightening afterwards.

     "...A kendo practitioner, if that wasn't particularly obvious from the wooden practice naginata." She says, lifting the glorified staff with a slightly blade-like head for Nanoha to look at. It was mildly blackened from the electricity that had been going through it every so often. She tilts her head a little bit in the opposite direction of Nanoha, seeming to muse on that. Hmm. There were questions she wanted to ask, but she wasn't entirely sure if she wanted to ask or not. She does finally ask something, though.

     "...You are surprisingly open with your name. Most of the magical people who I have met have been more secretive."

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi sounds seretipously introspective for a nine year old. "Well... if you can't open your heart to others... how can you expect others to open your heart to you?" she asks softly. "So... Nanoha Takamachi...um...."

She raises her staff. "This is my partner, Raising Heart!" she says.

Raising Heart is quiet for a moment.

<Greetings.>

Is all it says.

"Yeah--I um. I'm still learning and practicing. But I'm working really hard!" she says.

She pauses. "O-oh..." she says. "Are you a mage too? I thought I heard... something like mine but it was weird sounding..." she says.

Suzuki Natsume has posed:
     If you can't open your heart to others, how can you expect others to open their heart to you. Those words caused Suzuki to pause and look thoughtfully for several long moments. She gives a small smile towards Nanoha, shifting her hand. The wooden Naginata is slowly lowered, as she holds her hands out, ready to hold it. "Verdrehen Sturm, device mode."

                <JAWOHL.>

     Soon, Verdrehen Sturm has grown into its full form, and Suzuki has taken her in hand, holding the device up for Nanoha to see, with a small smile towards her. "This is my partner, Verdrehen Sturm. I think, uhm. Mine is different from yours... I think... someone called her Belkan?" Suzuki says thoughtfully.

     "I am a Knight. ...Which is essentially a mage, though... from a different device type." Suzuki responds thoughtfully, giving a helpful shrug. "I haven't learned everything just yet." She says quietly, her device kept in a non-threatening stance, she wasn't ready for a fight, and she didn't want one with Nanoha either. "I am the Knight of Rolling Storms, or Storm Knight."

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi head tilts. Belkan? Did Yunno know anything about that? She'd have to ask him. Surely, he'd know. Right? The Ferret isn't with her right now though. She instead, looks to Suzuki and nods matter of factly with a smile.

"I'm not really knowledgeable, but my friend might know..." she says softly. "I can ask him sometimes? He's a space ferret!" she said. "He said I was..unqiue or something because I was able to bond to Raising Heart... or something." she mutters. "I dunno really, but I'm doing my best to help him!" she smiles.

"No one should need to do something important alone, right?" she asks.

She head tilts. "A Knight...?" she asks. She hrmmmmmmsss. She's thinking. Birdman Helmet.. armor and.. hrmmm.

"Storm Knight then... okay!" she smiles.

"So you're.. practicing out here. What do you know?" she asks wide eyed.

"I know. Enough." she mumbles.

Suzuki Natsume has posed:
     He'd probably know more than Suzuki, that's for sure! Suzuki, meanwhile, thinks a bit on that. "A ... space ferret?" Suzuki asks curiously. In the back of her mind, she pictures an adorable ferret with alien ears and things of the sort. She may or may not devolve into a bit of a fantasy of cuddling and petting said adorable ferret with alien ears and purple fur. What? She likes cute things. She blinks a couple of moments, coming out of her thoughts at the question. "Of course, it is always better not to do important things alone. Having people to support and protect you as you do what you are doing."

     Suzuki gives a small nod. "Yes, a knight. It is apparently what Belkan Device users are called." She says, lifting her Device a bit. Verdrehen Sturm simply gives a ping of agreement. Which sounds like a normal ping, really.

     "I know ... uhm. I know some things, what context of 'knowing' are you asking of? If it's magically related... I know a few spells and similar that my Device has helped me use." Suzuki responds, giving a curious look towards Nanoha.

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi beams! "That's what I mean, yeah... like spells. I don't know a lot, but I'm getting better!" she says with a smile. I practice everyday and drill myself! I run every morning! Up and down! Bright and early!" she says.

"I really don't know much about Raising Heart..." she says quietly. "Just what my friend told me about her when he gave her to me. He was something called a 'Guest User' because he couldn't properly adapt to it. He's been teaching me things, and Raising Heart has been teaching me, too."

"Erm.. I really should have had Area Search on flying thou...maybe I'd spotted you earlier....." she mumbles.

Raising Heart delightfully pings in response.

"See. It agrees!" she says.

Suzuki Natsume has posed:
     Suzuki shifts slightly, listening to Nanoha speak. "I know a fair variety, as well as how to generate electricity and wind. Hence, well, Storm Knight." Suzuki says, giving a soft chuckle as she muses on that. "Perhaps we can train together sometime. Your Knight Armor should protect you and make it safer than it would be with other magical people." Suzuki says thoughtfully.

     "In my case... Verdrehen Sturm is an ancient artifact of a long-dead civilization that ... apparently destroyed itself? She is generally a good partner though, and I think it was sadly the ... uhm. Human...? I guess..? Element that resulted in that destruction. Misusing tools. and partners." Suzuki says with a thoughtful nod.

    "Area Search... ah, a scanning spell? It might be a good idea. If only to help keep out for potential enemies that pick up on your energy signature." That delightful ping is given an amused look from Suzuki. "Yours seems slightly more talkative than mine, as well. Raising Heart must be a good teacher."

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi ums. "Barrier Jacket. That's what my.. uh. 'Armor' is called." she says softly. "Um.. I think Yunno said, my device is... Mid-Childian..." she says. "I don't know what that means." she says as she taps a finger to her lips introspectivly again. Maybe she should be asking more harder questions to the ferret friend.

She says. "Um, most of my attack spells. Are beams. I use a 'Cannon' mode of Raising Heart to shoot blasts of energy mainly..." she says.

"Yours looks like a blade. Do you...."

"Actually hit people with your friend...?" she asks shyly.

Is that an okay thing to do? "Yeah. A Scanning spell. Do you know it?" she asks.

Suzuki Natsume has posed:
     "Barrier Jacket, then." Suzuki responds. Mid-childan device. Hmm. That was probably like the fox's and Riventon's devices, which seemed to be more modern. "That is ... probably more modern than my own Verdrehen Sturm." Suzuki says softly.

     "I have a few short-range spells that are not entirely different from beams. Uhm..." She pauses. "That wording makes it sound ...worse than it is. Verdrehen Sturm is designed for close ranged combat. She is arguably a weapon which happens to have an AI, rather than an AI that happens to be capable of being used for fighting, from what little I know. ...This feels insulting to speak of though." Suzuki says, looking down towards Verdrehen Sturm somewhat apologetically.

     Verdrehen Sturm simply pings in response. "I do not know Area Search, though I am sure that Verdrehen Sturm is capable of similar. It would likely be called something different, due to different languages though."

                <UMKREISSUCHE.>

            "...What she said."

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi regards Suzuki a moment. "Have you met other mages...?" she asks softly. "or knights?" she asks softly. She looks down a moment, and in thought for a longer moment as she mumbles. "Have you ever met a girl who calls herself "Fate"....?" she asks softly as she looks up at Suzuki, obviously eager for the answer.

She nods.

"Well...I'm sure it's not insulting?" she asks. "I mean. If your friend doesn't take offense to it, Right?" she asks softly.

"I met one other besides me earlier in the night..." she smiles. "So you're the second I've met!" she smiles.

Suzuki Natsume has posed:
     "I have met Fate, yes. I have also met Riventon, who also uses our style of devices, as well as Helix and another who I have not seen in a while, I hope she is alright." Suzuki responds, thinking of Lena Reiniger briefly. "The one who is missing is unfortunately the one who knew the most about my style of device and its abilities." Suzuki says with a slight frown.

     "She doesn't seem to be taking offense to it, no." Suzuki responds to the comment of taking offense or not, glancing down towards Verdrehen Sturm. "Verdrehen Sturm, Standby mode." She says softly, as Verdrehen Sturm returns to being a 'good luck charm' on her wrist. Afterwards, she bends down to pick up her wooden Naginata again. "I'm sure you'll meet several more over time, Miss White, for instance, is another user of our style of Device. She seems to have a Mid-childan device, though her fighting style is close ranged -- similar to the Belkan. But her device speaks the same language as yours."

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi nods. "Fate is... she's after the same things I am. I need to get them before she does. But.." she looks down. "Doesn't she seem so sad...?" she sighs a bit. "She said it was because she was trying to make her mother smile..." she mutters.

She listens. "I don't know the others." she says softly. "I hope your friend is alright!" she says with a concerned.

She then head tilts.

"That doesn't sound too odd I guess...." she says. In regards to Miss White.

Raising Heart pings again at the question.

"Um, I guess I outta get going though and back to practicing." she says as she grips Raising Heart apprehensivly. "Do you need anything before I go?" she asks eagerly.

Suzuki Natsume has posed:
     "...She is a decent-seeming person, from my limited interactions with her." Suzuki responds softly, thoughtfully. "I was captured by herself, Riventon, Helix and another that I do not know the name of. While in captivity, she and Helix trained with me to help me pass the time. It was not entirely an unpleasant captivity, though being separated from Verdrehen Sturm was unpleasant." Suzuki says softly, shifting slightly.

     "...Perhaps I could help you find whatever it is you are searching for. I enjoy helping people, as a general rule." Suzuki says with a small smile towards Nanoha. "I will keep an eye on you if I can, to ensure that if you have another tumble it is not into anything too particularly dangerous." Suzuki says with regards to the mention of her having to get going.

     "...Not at the moment, I believe I am fine. Though, perhaps... ah, actually." She pulls out a cell phone from her pocket. "...Let's trade phone numbers, so that if something comes up or either of us need help, we can talk to each other?" She asks softly towards Nanoha, already starting to enter a new contact.

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi looks at Suzuki and then ums... she digs out her cellphone which is a basic feature phone affair one would expects the parents of a nine year old to give them. She rattles off her number and puts Suzuki's in.

"I'm after... things called 'Jewel Seeds', helping my ferret friend find them, because they're dangerous and wreck havoc--one time, they made a cat giant!" she says with wide eyes.

"Fate's after them too. But...I have to fight her to get them I guess. Even though... I would rather not." she says.

She looks up. "But--- you can't just talk, either! You have to be willing to back up those words!" she says.

"And---if someone doesn't listen. You can make them listen through your actions!" she says, like she belives this.

She doesn't ask if she's right because she knows she is.

"Um. If you need help, you can call me, yes! But.. sometimes I need to help at my family's cafe, Midori-ya..." she says quietly.

Suzuki Natsume has posed:
     "Jewel Seeds... alright. If I see or hear of anything that looks like it could be a jewel seed, I will either let you know or see if I can obtain it for you and your friend." Suzuki responds softly towards Nanoha, carefully inputting her number.

     "... Words are backed up by actions, I suppose that's a good way to handle it, yes. To speak without following up leaves you as ... ... not ... a particularly reliable person. Or effective if someone is doing wrong." Suzuki says softly.

     "...That is alright, everyone has their own needs and obligations. I am frequently busy helping people out with things, but ... well. Something that endangers someone is frequently a higher priority in the long run." Suzuki says softly. She rests the wooden practice naginata against her shoulder. "Regardless; I should get back to my own practice. I can communicate with my Device now, so she is pointing out a lot of shortcomings in my fighting." Suzuki says with an amused chuckle. That and, honestly, she didn't really want to go home at the moment.

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi nods. "Alright...!" she smiles. "Well, I'm gonna head off then! Um... Flight....!"

..."Oh..."

"Raising Heart, Flight!"

Then comes the tiny pink winglets on her feet again as she begins hovering upwards. "Off I go again!~" she says as she takes back off...out over the city. She just realized she could had landed in the ocean! She could had caught a cold being so wet on a colder night!
