Synopsis:	Crescent SkyBeam Explosion #1 - meeting Firebird and introducing Virtue

Minoke Sato has posed:
Nighttime over a run-down part of the city. There is no youma activity currently happening. But there is a disturbance. An abandoned building has some strange things happening. A young woman is floating in midair, limned in a black aura. She is holding what looks like a mace. "Alright, Swirling Vortex. Combat Mode." "Acknowledged. Initiating combat mode." The mace-head turns around, and a glowing black energy strand connects it to the handle. "Alright. Target that," she states, pointing a laser pointer on a broken-down AC on top of the building. "Destroy it." "Acknowledged." She raises the handle of Swirling Vortex as the flail-head starts spinning around, then fires like a hookshot and smashes right where the laser pointer was shining. "Good. Again," she states as the flail retracts and then arcs up and smashes down on top, making some loud CLANG noises. The flail seems to be ignoring the laws of physics. "Return." "Acknowledged." It retracts until the 'chain' is only a foot long. "Good job," she states, which was answered by a happy-sounding beep from the flail.

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V is also out and about near abandoned buildings in bad parts of town! Today, she's doing her magical girl duties. They're usually exciting things like 'crime fighting' or 'investigating bad guys', but when crime is slow and investigations are complete, she still goes out so she can claim she works 'full-time'.

Tonight, she's got a new plan.

She throws a single Crescent Beam straight up into the air where it explodes like a firework, making a bright, colorful, and mostly harmless display sure to attract lots of attention, reflecting its light off the river water and windows in the entire neighborhood.

The second one hits the building with the suspicious sounds, rocking walls and shattering glass. It's probably illegal property damage.

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird sees the Crescent Beam shoot up in midair. She blinks as she turns to face it, tilting her head. "What was that? A signal flare? It wasn't a firework - that was some kind of beam attack..." "Alert! Hostile attack approaching!" intones Swirling Vortex as the second Crescent Beam slams into the building as Firebird flies up higher. "Track the source, display directional marker." A glowing arrow would appear, pointing in the direction as Firebird books it - she moves inthat direction, ready for battle, not sure what to expect.

Minako Aino has posed:
In between Crescent Beams, Sailor V is lounging around between two walls at the entrance of a narrow alley.

She's taking a breather and terrifying a little white cat who is panicking and bouncing around her. At this particular moment, she's showcasing her flexibility by leaning backwards over a fire hydrant and seeing how far she can bend her body on the sharp point. The cat doesn't approve.

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird slows down, and lowers to rooftop level, the black arrow dissipating once she sees the target. A woman in some kind of sailor fuku with a white cat. Wait - that's Sailor V! But... she's the source of the beam that almost shot her out of the sky - either was a lucky shot or she was targeted. Taking no chances, she murmurs, "Inversion Bubble." "Acknowledged. Inversion Bubble." A black glow would engulf Sailor V suddenly, and Artemis too if he's in range and the two would find themselves suspended in a shimmering black bubble. Once she's sure that she's not going anywhere, she lowers herself. "You almost shot me out of the sky!" she scolds, crossing her arms, a flail danging from her left hand.

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V stays in her backbreaking position once she hears glows and accusations. "Ahhhhhh, don't be silly," she comments, shouting louder since she's not really trying to face the right direction or even get up.

"If I aimed at you, I woulda' hit you. You weren't in the sky," she says, spoken as if she's trying to be serious and resolute even if she is really sleepy.

"Nyaaa! Stop throwing weird attacks at people. That's a sure fire way to get yourself beat up!"

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird stares. "But I was in the sky. I was over an abandoned building, a derelict, practicing. Not many youmas these days. And you almost shot me out of the sky. So I came to investigate and find Sailor V herself. Sorry for the bubble... ummmm... basically you're in an inversion bubble. Where gravity doesn't follow the normal rules. If you promose not to shoot me, I'll put you back on your feet - oh, kitty!" she chirps, looking at the cat who's also in the bubble. "Oh - he has a crescent bald spot on his forehead..." She smiles. "You can call me Firebird." She fingers her Barrier Jacket, wondering if it could withstand that laser beam.

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V eventually gets around to wiping the sleepy from her eyes and sitting herself up. "Arrrgh. You don't have to make a big deal about it," she says, half-way up.

"Anyway, who are you?" she asks. "Not... like... name, but what are you doing? Why are you coming over near me, hmm?" she asks. "But, uh, tell me later! Let's go inside to talk. People'll be attracted to the explosions and also you flying around throwing magic junk everywhere. We got to move!"

Her tone suggests immediate action and urgency but her body language suggests naps.

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird blinks. "Alright..." she states. "Disengage," she states as the black bubble would turn you upright and pop when your feet touch the gruond. "Sorry. But as I said - firsty ou shot a beam intothe air - so I was looking, then you almost shot me out of the sky. I came to find out who was attacking me... but alright, let's move," she setates as she moves to follow you. She remains floating, but near the ground.

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V just makes a grrrrrr sound under her breath. "You weren't even up there! No sympathy from me!" she says after finally, finally standing herself up and stretching for a few moments.

Then, she's off and right back inside the same building you were beating up a moment ago.

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird blinks as you came right back as she floats inside, remaining hovering. "Alright - this a secret hangout for you or something, Sailor V? I didn't do much damage to it - and that AC was so broken down that it'd never work again even before I started beating it up." She smiles. "Can I pet your cat?"

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V shakes her head after getting inside. "Pssht, not my building. But if you beat up on air conditioners, they won't work. And damaging public buildings is against the law!" she declares.

As an answer to your question, she chucks her cat up into the air for you to catch. She clearly gives permission for cat petting; the cat does not seem to approve of random pets or being thrown through the air, but he silently relents with no more than an irritated expression and flattened ears to show his disapproval.

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird smiles as she pets the cat. "So - I... I'm rather new to being a magical girl and..." She clicks her tongue. "I'm not really sure what to do with myself." She smiles. "He's such a pretty cat - soft..."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V just clucks her tongue a few times in response. "Oh yeah? Brand new? Where'd you get your stuff?" she asks, looking at the intelligent weapon suspiciously.

"Not too many of those!" she comments, kicking around abandoned junk and peering through the dark building as best as she can so there's no tripping over dirty things.

"It's dangerous to be out in the bad parts of town and even more if you don't have friends. Some people want equipment or even to kidnap away magical girls," she warns!

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird reaches her hand out as all the debris in the room starts sliding towards a corner of the room. "My parents got it for me. It was hiding as a gem as they like to do - and when I needed help, Swirling Vortex woke up and started helping me. We're still getting to know each other - but I haven't been doing this very long."

Minako Aino has posed:
"Oh? Did they know what it was," Sailor V asks, specifically. "That makes a big difference."

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird shakes her head. "No - I'm QUITE sure they just thought it was a piece of jewelry - a onyx-studded choker." She carefully moves to sit on a counter, her legs flopping into place as she sits there. "When... I had an accident... I figured that I'd be stuck for a long time. But then Swirling Vortex woke up and helped me out."

Minako Aino has posed:
"Huh. So, how long have you had it? What do you DO with it?" Sailor V asks, acting as if professionally interested and trying not to make it sound like an interrogation.

"And what have you done with it so far? Do you know anybody else?" 'Anybody else' means other magical girls like herself. Her tone makes that much obvious.

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird blinks. "A few weeks. Maybe a month. And I've met a few people. Including one with powers like mine. But not too many - I mostly practice alone. I have a few... physical challenges."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V accepts that as an answer. "Yeah. It's hard to be good. Gotta' practice a bunch," she comments.

"So, a month of practice and you 'met a few people'," she says, straightening up and turning to face Firebird. "Vague. What do you plan to do, then?" she asks, suddenly serious and even dangerous.

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird sighs. "I don't know. I'm kinda fumbling around on my own. Swirling Vortex can only help me so much. I'd like... to be able to talk with others like me - other magical people. To learn how to better use my abilities. Do you know of any such team, Sailor V? I mean - you've been around a while. Maybe you know something or someone?" she asks. She looks down at her legs, sighing.

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V snaps her fingers once. "Pssht, I know lots of people. Lots of friends, allies, 'teams', even. It turns out I run a lil' group of magical girls," she says.

"I'm sorta' in charge of lots of stuff. If you were looking for training and other friendly peoples, you should stick around with me! I can introduce you around once I know you're all safe and sound," she promises, walking near windows to peer around and see if anybody was attracted to the building's exterior near the fireworks from earlier.

"It might be fun. And safer! Sound good?"

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird nods. "I accept - but what do I have to do to prove myself to you?" she asks. "I beat up one youma and carry three crystal shards inside Swirling Vortex. Something about the pieces to some interplanar prison or something. They're safe in there." She ponders, clicking her tongue. "I know that you have tomake sure that I'm a good person and all."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V shrugs her shoulders once. "Ha hahaaaa! I dunno! It varies. That's for you to figure out. I gotta go start beaming the sky again later," she exclaims.

"But... uh... interplanar prisons, huh? I guess you should hold onto that. You can send 'em to me if you feel like it, but you can hold onto that, right?" she says, in a voice that could equally be one of a delegator of responsibilities... or somebody shirking them.

"But we can figure it out later. For now, you can be on my V-Team! Talk to my Virtue people. They're really... virtuous!" she promises, before kicking out the window to climb out of it.

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird blinks. "Why did you shoot a beam into hte sky if not to draw attention?" she asks curiously. "And these shards are dangerous - they're safely sealed away inside Vortex but - they'd haveto be given tosomeone who knows what to do with them. And how would I talk to these Virtue people?" she asks as she casually floats sideways to pop out the window with you. "You really like the letter V, don't you?"

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V just kicks out the window. "Nah, don't worry about it," she says. "I'll introduce you next time we have a meeting. Just gimme a call when you wanna meet 'em sometime. We'll be somewhere or come to you!" she promises. Honest but casual.

"And V is an important letter to spell my name!"

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird nods. "True... what's your number?" she asks, tilting her head. "Or could you get me in touch with them now? I don't have anyting else to do. I... I've not powered up too many times because I haven't known what to do, who to trust - it's a brand new world and I feel so out of my depth... but you - yours is a face I know, Sailor V. Please... help me not feel alone anymore."

Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino/Sailor V just rolls her eyes. "Hah, get in touch now? Only bad people are awake this late at night," she says as she breaks the window so she can sneak out it.

But she still passes her phone number out. Three of them, even!

"Call me anytime. I'm a popular girl but I'll answer my phone!" she swears. "I'll check in with you lots. Tomorrow and weekends, since school is still out!"

Minoke Sato has posed:
Firebird nods as she gets her cell and types them in - and then gives her number. "I wish I was popular - but I'm a bit of a recluse." she murmurs as she watches. "Alright - tomorrow I guess?" she asks as she emerges out the window as well, waiting for you to go on yoru way befor she heads home.
