Synopsis: Hannah meets with many interesting people at the Mori-ya!
Cast of Characters: Yuko Minami, Hannah Sharpe, Junpei Matsuo, Ail

Hannah Sharpe has posed:
To many, the Midori-Ya Cafe is one of Tokyo's hidden treasures. The bright, happy atmosphere of the shop alongside it's bevy of tasty coffee and baked goods has certainly made it a joy for one Hannah Sharpe as she steps inside. Given the warm weather, she's chosen an aqua sundress with frills at the hem, and a wide-brimmed summer hat to keep her face nice and shaded. Sandals flip-flop with plastic clacks.

Hannah is hit by the smell of delicious food almost immediately, cane-tapping her way about until she gets to the front counter. Slow going, but she makes it! Her nose guides her, sniffing at the various delicious scents, but she's yet to grab the atention of those working. There's a slight line, after all!

Junpei Matsuo has posed:
Junpei Matsuo was just out for a ride. Nothing big just a few miles on the bike for endurance and to have a good out and about. Unlike his on stage clothes or attempts at grabbing attention he wore a black T-shirt and cargo-pants. He liked to go simple on days like this where he didn't really feel the need to impress. How he got word about this place was unclear but here he was and he was waiting in line to see what these good smells were all about. This put him near Hannah, enough so that his eyes flicked from her to the cane. He grunted soft to try drawing attention, "it is good to see you are well miss Sharpe. They ever figure out what happened at the concert?" His voice was light, almost like he didn't care overly about the answer. "Then again nobody got hurt so all's well that ends well?"

Yuko Minami has posed:
Yuko's on the job again today! It's been a busy week for the market part-timer, and today is no different. Today's delivery: A batch of fresh imported coffee beans for those with more expensive tastes. Clad in the brown work vest with her store's logo on the back and a simple t-shirt and skirt combo on underneath that, she shimmies her way in through the front door with a short grunt.

It's not easy getting through a small doorway with a crate on a handtruck, after all! Spotting a few familiar faces in the line, she wheels her delivery over and props a foot up on the back of the handtruck while smiling lightly towards Hannah and Junpei.

"Afternoon, Matsuo-san. And... Uh... You had the big dog, right?"

Hannah Sharpe has posed:
The delicious scent of freshly made bagels entrance Hannah! She leans near the case, only for a voice to cause her to start slightly with a 'wah!'

"Mmm? Oh! Hello there." Drawing herself out of her bagel-daze, she runs the night in question over in her head. Lots of punching, a /very/ pretty conquerer, and the power of rock lifting everyone's hearts.

"Quite strange, hmm? Ahh...what was it..."

Thankfully Yuko helps matters.

"Matsuo-san! The investigation says a gas-leak. And we lost 5% sales, too!" She frowns there at the memory.

"On the other hand, I'm being looked at for a promotion. Apparently they liked my report." After all, she /had/ helped file the claim for that one.

Then, she's bowing to the pair.

"Hannah Sharpe. Yes, Boris is a near-constant companion. At the vet today, sadly."

~Elsewhere~

Boris huddles in a corner of the vet's office, whimpering and whining. The vet, holding a needle and bacon, coaxes to the old dog.

"It'll be okay! Heeeere! Tasty bacon!" Boris just hides his head with his paws.

~~Here~~

"Were you at the concert, Miss...?"

Ail has posed:
One extraordinarily tall specimen of totally normal human teenage boy, Seijuro Ginga, slips into the open door of the Midori-Ya Cafe, smiling broadly. Despite the fact that school hasn't actually started, he stands in his school uniform, a navy blue suit which with matching trousers, identifying him clearly as a student from Seishou Public. At the mention of the concert, and the gas leak, he moves a little closer to the gathering of people discussing it - doing a poor job of looking disinterested.

Yuko Minami has posed:
That concert really was a strange event, wasn't it? So many costumed fighters appearing in one place, all focused on that too colorful, yet weirdly hot guy with the monster...

Wait. Her alibi was being in the bathroom the whole time! Right. "I-is that what hpapened? Huh... Guess I was lucky, then. You two didn't get hurt or anything, did you?" Hannah's bow is returned with a light bow from Yuko, finally noticing the cane and eyeing it curiously before nodding. "Yeah. I... Um. I burned myself on some takoyaki before the music started, though, so I missed most of what happened."

She straightens her vest out and takes a step back from the handtruck, then bows much more fully from the waist. Even if she doesn't particularly enjoy her job, she still holds some pride in her work! "Minami Yuko. Good to meet you, Sharpe-san. That's a... Western name, right?" As she comes back up from the bow, she catches a glimpse of Seijuro and does about as bad a job of pretending not to notice him by staring slightly to the left of him.

Junpei Matsuo has posed:
A small smile at the idea of Hannah getting ahead from the whole mess, "Gas leaks are nasty, though could have swore before things went funny there was odd noise, While I am not a fan of .... Boy bands," by his tone he clearly hated even the word, "I hope they are well." Musician solidarity apparently trumps his loathing of the content.

Then a look over to Yuki, "Minami-san, more deliveries?" His eyes flicked to her outfit as he moved slightly to the side, possibly offering his place in line to her, "Apologies for lateness in my own pickup, there's son finalizing needed on what to get for post rehearsals." Whaaaa? Oh right! He had some kind of band gathering thing going on. "Do you come here often? Any recommendations?"

Yuko Minami has posed:
"At least it was free. And the food was good!" Yuko really couldn't complain too much there. Granted, she probably could have gotten even more food from somewhere else for a fraction of the time, but considering everything that happened? It was definitely interesting.

"Mm? Yeah, it's coffee today." She blinks in confusion as Junpei moves, understanding after a moment and shaking her head quickly. "Oh! I-it's okay. I'm not here to buy or anything. Recommendations..." She glances at the menu. "Iced mocha. Definitely."

Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Hannah doesn't notice Ginga just yet! He's being decently quiet, and the other two have her attention. There's a little chuckle from the woman, folding her arms behind her back for a moment and stretching.

"I was fine. Boris dragged me into one of the changing rooms after I passed out. You should have seen the aftermath! So many ambulances, police, lawyers...oh so many lawyers." Shudder. Really, they were worse than the youma she fought.

To Junpei, she smirks. "They have made complete recoveries."

"The pleasure is entirely mine, Yuko-san! Yes, I was born in America. My family travelled a lot when I was younger, however. You work for a delivery company?" Her accent /is/ a bit odd, southern with a hint of british from the three years she lived there.

She's saved! From having to ask someone to read the menu to her. She makes a note to hug Yuko for it sometime.

"I will have an iced mocha and a bagel, please." Pipes up the girl to the woman working at the counter. Soon, orders come up, and Hannah's hunting for a table. Tap tap taptap! Conveniently, she's soon in bumping range of Seijuro.

Ail has posed:
Walking is a bit wierd when you're used to flying, and indeed Seijuro does make a misstep - just a small one, but enough to send him bumping into Hannah. It actually takes him just a moment to react, but quickly he's reaching - abnormally fast and agile - to steady her with a firm hand, reaching around quickly to attempt practically catch her from the stumble like some sort of fairy tale prince - a role he's rather fond of.

"Oh my goodness are you okay!" will come out regardless of his success.

Junpei Matsuo has posed:
"Black sweet tea and a peanutbutter brownie." Junpei did not like the prices here, but the cost of being social would be endured with stoic indifference to such concerns! As he took his overpriced goods he made his way to an area roughly close to where Seijuro bumped into Hannah. He was about to say something but ball was in her court, though he did eye the slightly odd boy. In his mind he was worried that might have been deliberate, but one did not accuse random people of trying to be a pickpocket. Instead he grabbed a chair and motioned for Yuko to sit, take a load off. Of course she might still be on the clock which would make her not sitting understandable.

Yuko Minami has posed:
Yuko's face pales just a bit at the mention of lawyers. Even though she doesn't live with her parents any more, the sight of one even around the store is still enough to send chills down her spine.

"It's good to hear you have such a protective dog. We never had pets in the house, so it's cool to hear about sometimes."

"America? Wow... Do they really have bigger food there? Ah... I work for one of the supermarkets by the harbor. I just make deliveries sometimes... A lot." She clanks the front of the handtruck against the floor lightly for emphasis, sighing after a moment. It's tiring work moving stuff all the time!

Things seem to move in slow motion for that moment when Hannah was bumped into, and the save from Seijuro was fairly impressive, all things considered. Just like in her anime, but minus the explosions of flowers and sparkles!

Best not to say anything lest the moment be broken, though. Even when Junpei pulls the chair out for her, she chuckles silently and shakes her head, gesturing at the crate on the handcart first before watching Hannah and Seijuro with bated breath. What would be the result of this... This?

Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Wah! The boxer is happy her clubmates aren't here to see her trip, and caught by Seijuro! It's an embarrassing misstep for one so normally on her game, but two fights have left her tired and a little dazed.

How firm! Hannah blinks, and grins a little bit.

"Oh my! Good catch! Yes, I am quite alright. Apologies, Sir, I was not paying as much attention as I should." She uses Ginga to get herself straight again. This close, the young man could likely make out the muscle tone on her arms! Someone works out.

"Hannah Sharpe. And who is my knight of maiden catching, hmm?" She comes with a wink.

Then she makes a motion to the table they're all gathering at.

"Care to join us?" She'll let Ginga guide her over if he so chooses, one arm offered to him.

To Yuko, Hannah's smile is bright. "He's a wonderful dog. Oh? I know that one! I have heard good things, now I simply /must/ stop by. My old market went out of business, it had this wonderful tea. Does your store allow service animals? I can take him to visit. Do not worry, he will not eat the steaks."

Then, to Junpei, she ooh's. "Reminds me of home." The tea, not the brownie.

Yuko Minami has posed:
How smooth! Alas, Yuko is still on the clock, and finding out just how smooth Seijuro really is will have to wait. "Just to the outside of the store. Health regulations and stuff, but I can help you through the store if you come by when I'm around." She offers that with a relaxed tone in her voice, moving around the handtruck to pick up that crate.

"Still got a lot to do today. Sorry to run so soon. Maybe next time." After handing off that crate and signing off the appropriate forms, she's off!

Ail has posed:
"Seijuro Ginga..." the boy says, helping Hannah to her feet. "And it was my fault, I had a bit of an unsteady step... I should've been more careful!" he adds, as it would be incorrect to let her take all of the blame.

To her invitation, he thinks on it for a moment. "That would be rather nice. I only recently transferred here from overseas, and I don't know anyone yet really. I'm just trying to feel my way around my new city... this place is so big." Overseas being only a tiny lie. And it's easy to hear, in the way his Japanese is so correct, yet some of the enunciation is off, that he is a well-educated foreigner in a strange land.

"As long as I'm not imposing, that is." he says, even as he guides her carefullly over to the table.

Junpei Matsuo has posed:
Junpei Matsuo waved as Yuko-san left. He really did enjoy seeing her out and about. Still she was working and he was not. Then he relaxed, turning attention back to Ginga-san. "Overseas huh?" He considered the boy, something tickled at the back of his head. "Oh! Hey maybe you know a pair of people? Apologies but longshots are all I have on a pair that missed their ferry a couple days back. Seemed very out of town sorts." There was a weak chuckle and a hurried drink of tea as he mentally berated himself for asking total strangers about more total strangers. "Apologies but they seemed very lost and I'd last seen them right around the concert accident, don't like the idea of people alone far from home."

Hannah Sharpe has posed:
There's a wave at the sound of Yuko!

"See you again, Yuko-san! Thank you!"

Once seated with help from Ginga, and a little seated bow for his efforts, she shakes her head.

"I insist. We need more young men with manners around." Cue a winning smile.

She perks up. "It is a lovely city, but very confusing. There /is/ this very nice app that has a map of tokyo, though. Do you have a phone?" She fishes out her own, tapping on the braille keys as she brings up said app. It shows a map of the city, and even gives audio cues!

"Where are you from, Ginga-san?" She adds.

In between coffee sips, her attention goes to Junpei. "My, my, is it tourist season? Not that I mind. Mmm, maybe I can meet someone from America." There's a little sigh in her voice, just a touch homesickness lurking in there.

Ail has posed:
Seijuro mentally notes not to say he is from America. "It's a tiny little country... to be honest, I'm not sure how to say it in your tounge." He says an entirely untelligble word." He takes his seat, expressly next to Hannah - but gives Junpei a small amount of attention as well - though it's painfully clear he's less interested in the male than he is in Hannah.

"Ah... no, I came here with my sister... she's currently rather ill, and here for treatment." He adds. That was also not a lie - the treatment just required some things the earthlings might not appreciate.

"So... what schools do you two go to? I was hoping to maybe run into some classmates."

Junpei Matsuo has posed:
Junpei Matsuo "I dunno, sorry. Just those two stuck out because even for tourists they seems pretty lost." Junpei mentally amended that to refer to /polite/ non drunk tourists that lost. "I suppose not much to be done one way or another but that night feels important." How he could not say.

Then Gingan-san spoke something unpronounceable, "Ah, Arabian?" Curious, he looked almost Irish? Strange but hardly his fault for who his parents were, "I wish your sister good health during her stay and that you aren't delayed overly long." More tea and a bit of brownie consumed, "and I am second year Seiyou, big castle looking school, used to be private. Gives us many facilities we are fortunate to be able to share." There was pride in his voice at this. His school had things and was sensable enough to shade them. This was right and proper as it did not harm them to share and it helped socialize everyone.

Hannah Sharpe has posed:
She might have a good ear, but the man has her beat. Hannah tilts her head, frowning.

"Nope, never heard of it! Oh, my, so many interesting people as of late. Still, sorry to hear about your sister. A swift recovery to her, I spend too much time in the hospital myself." Both for her best friend Ao, and a dozen experimental treatments.

"Seiyou is beautiful, or so I am told. Is there a greenhouse, yes? I seem to remember hearing something about that. Oh, I would love to smell the flowers there!"

Then she pumps her fist! School pride! "Infinity High, grade 10. You will find no better school equipped to meet any learning needs! Even Verone cannot match us! And we have the best kickboxing team in all of Tokyo!" Toots the woman, grinning as she plugs club and school alike.

"It is a little difficult to get into unless your test scores are very, very high." A little pride there.

Junpei Matsuo has posed:
"Yes, a very nice greenhouse, though I'm more partial to the music department really." All things considered Junpei's love of music shouldn't surprise Hannah. "And while I will not begrudge Infinity's status as a premiere school Seiyou is very worthy of its facilities and does a fair job of keeping you on your toes." There was an easy manner to his voice as he leaned forward, resting elbows on legs as he looked from Hannah to Ginga then back. "My sister has taken an interest in agriculture. Not just these pretty decorative, but useful plants." She hardly shut up about it actually, and as annoying as it could be he was proud she was finding her path.

Ail has posed:
"Ah." Seijuro begins "I'm headed to Seishou." he adds, pointing to his uniform. "It is a little bit uneasy, stepping into a new school in a new country in a new language." That was probably his biggest understatement so far. He's actually quite nervous.

"I love this city though, it's so alive... everyone has so much energy. Not like back home." he adds.

"And such beautiful, kind girls, I might add." Hannah may not be able to see it, but Seijuro has returned her winning style and upped the ante.

Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Sliding her hand over the top of the table gently, she'll try to find Ginga's hand. If he lets her, she'll take it in hers, squeezing lightly.

"You can do it! If you have confidence in yourself, and work hard, then good things will come to you! Strength and hard work can overcome any obstacle." There's complete conviction in her voice too. Then, she lets go.

"Good! I hope they use that spirit and bring us some worthy opponents this year at the inter-school kickboxing championship!" Comes Hannah, before giggling.

"Sorry, I am a little excited. And nervous."

"Oh? How old is she, Matsuo-san?"

Then, she lights up red on that light skin of hers. Rather than studder or get out of sorts, she stands up, and does a little twist and twirl to show off.

"Truly, you are a prince! Ah, such words, you are fit to entrance this maiden!" Comes Hannah dramatically, taking on a shakespearian tone. Then she sits down, and pokes Ginga on where she hopes is the side of the cheek.

"Charmer! I have a feeling you are going to be awash in confessions once you start at school."

Junpei Matsuo has posed:
Ginga's fairly smooth moves in winning the kickboxer girl over earned him a warm smile from Junpei, "you are here and in spite of our ways likely being very different, are willing to try blending in. Just showing up and wanting to do is usually the important half of anything."

He then addressed Hannah, "She's in sixth grade, but she's actually doing well cribbing off my books now and then. I don't pressure her so much as try keeping her from diving in head first." He still looked and sounded faintly amused, "do you have any hobbies Ginga-san? I realize just adapting is hard, but you must have passions you brought from home you wish to persue."

Ail has posed:
The idea of being awash in confessions is at once a happy thought and a terrifying one - happy because that's what he would like - terrifying because eventually En will get better, and then she whould be... somewhat happy. In the end though, he smiles. "Well, as long as they're as pretty as you I would consider myself very successful."

Then his attention is grabbed. "She's interested in plants?" he asks, turning to Junpei and giving him a lot of attention for the first time in this conversation. "I have an ah... houseplant that is giving me trouble." Then he listens and hears it's more agricultural. Is the Maka... no, no it isn't.

"Oh, I see." His attention already grabbed though, now he responds by drawing from his jacket a flute. It is white, with a floral/ivy motif carved into it. "This is my hobby." He adds, with a warm smile. "My sister enjoys the music, so by habit I've gotten decent."

Junpei Matsuo has posed:
Junpei Matsuo saw the flute and his eyes went wide. "What dedication it took to make such a thing." His voice dropped alto a low contemplative whisper as his body grew still, eyes fixed on the strange flute. "The leader of the flying dragons band is a good flute player. We're all a bit busy preparing for a on eight band jam, but I could pass your name along if you'd like someone to speak with to try getting better... Or at least learn some of the local color?"

Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Ginga has Hannah all smiles and sitting taller. Indeed, she all but radiates happiness and pleased. There's definitely going to be a bounce in her step today!

"This city is full of beautiful, intelligent, strong young ladies! Be careful, some of us bite!" Chomp chomp! She even makes little kitty-scratch motions.

The girl d'awww's at the mention of the sister. "My, I think you are a good sibling then!" She adds to Junpei.

Then she quiets a bit, sipping coffee and listening.

"Play us a tune, perhaps?" Suggests the woman.

Ail has posed:
"Ah, sorry" Seijuro begins, looking at Junpei. "I promised Natsumi that I would only do music with her. She can be a bit jealous." Understamtent, again. The finist obsufucation.

At the mention of playing here, Seijuro leans across the table a bit, looking at both Hannah and Junpei. "I never said I wouldn't do solos, though... Is it alright to do so in this place? I wouldn't want to be rude to the other people here."

Junpei Matsuo has posed:
Junpei Matsuo shrugged dismissively, "So long as you can carry a tune and don't try drownding everything out I imagine not." He featured a out as he spoke, "I prefer drum. Big traditional ones. Sadly not very portable, it to each their own.!

Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Hannah gives several nods to Junpei as he speaks. "Mmm-hmm! Definitely ok! Music fits this place, I think. It has a nice atmosphere." Someone's a fan of this particular cafe. Then, the woman leans back in her chair, all ears as she listens for the performance! Seems a few other customers are looking on.

YOu're in the spotlight, Ginga-san!

Ail has posed:
Seijuro smiles a bit, nodding, and needing no further encouragement, puts the flute to his lips, closes his eyes, and plays a soft song. It's not overbearing or even very loud, but it seems to cut through the hustle and bustle of the cafe like a knife through butter, the tones rising and falling softly. The actual tune is strange and foreign, and as quickly as it has started, it's over.

Junpei Matsuo has posed:
Junpei Matsuo focuses on the flute noise. His eyes unfocused as he let's his ears take charge. He's heard this before, but he can't figure out how it's familiar, if he'd heard it before now he would have eaten up anything recorded by the performer. He wanted to say something but his brain just told the rest of him to shut up and soak it in without care for how silly he might appear sitting there slack jawed.

Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Hannah can't help but gasp as she listens. Sensitive as her ears are, she's all the more effected by the song, eyes wide and hands clasped in front of her. She's utterly silent throughout after her little outburst, being pulled to that song by her heartstrings. She shakes her head, and mentally Raging Tempest swats her to not look like such a dope. She manages that amount of dignity, but not much more, blush back on her cheeks as she soaks in aural nirvana.

When it ends, she lets out a tiny little breath. Hannah cannot find words for once. Thankfully, those watching do so for her, clapping and whistling as Ginga gets congratulated! More than a few other girls are blushing and giving him renewed looks...and a few looks of envy to Hannah, given she's sitting right by him.

"W...wow..." She mutters.

Ail has posed:
"Like I said though..." he adds, tucking it back within his pocket. "I only play it as a bit of a hobby. I can only play well when I am inspired. Perhaps you were my muse today, Miss Sharpe."

"Do you play an instrument as well... ahhh... didn't catch your name, my apologies." he adds to Junpei. It's obvious he's trying to focus on Junpei, he's just very bad at it.

Junpei Matsuo has posed:
Junpei Matsuo was popped out of musical bliss by Ginga-san's voice. "Ah, well I do have a band I'm in. So we kinda learn eachother's instruments to help cover each other." That and personal challenge, "Sharpe-san is a very pleasent woman who I am grateful to have met." He tried searching for the proper words to give this fairly obvious and successful flirt. "As are many others. Treat them with respect and care and you'll never want for friends, treated poorly and you will be alone in a crowd." He hoped that was more warning than threat, after all he was being polite and it did warm his heart Hannah had attracted fairly genteel attention where others would only see a poor blind girl.

Ail has posed:
Seijuro suddenly has a bit of a start, clutching at his chest where his heart would be. He has been out too long, spending too much time away from the Makaiju. He'd been having so much fun he'd forgotten. "I'm sorry... I have to go." he says, getting up abruptly.

"I apologize for leaving so quickly; I hope I will see you both around soon." Seijuro gives a short curt bow and practically runs out of the store in a near-panic.

Junpei Matsuo has posed:
Junpei Matsuo blinked at the sudden exit. Blink. Blink. Stare. Then he looked over. Hannah and grumbled, "I was trying to compliment the guy for being so nice to you.... Oi..." A soft sigh as he looked to his remaining diner companion. "A very talented flute player though, I hope I haven't scared off a potential date."

Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Hannah, finishing her coffee, slowly stands. She offers a bow to the duo as her phone vibrates.

"Ah! I am going to be late for the club meeting if I dally too long here. Matsuo-san, Ginga-san, it has been a pleasure. Let us do this again some time, hmm? Oh, and I am having a practice match tonight. Feel free to come watch!"

But then she's being flirted with. A little laugh.

"You are both /far/ too kind!" Cue a poke at Matsuo's cheek as well. Or she starts to, but then Ginga's off after a pained sound!

"Ah...are you alri...oh dear. I had best follow him, see if he is alright. No, no, he sounded hurt to me. Excuse me, Matsuo-san." Then, she's off!
