Queen Beryl is the commander of the Dark Kingdom, and a powerful sorceress. Jealousy lead her to this possition, a jealousy for Prince Endymion of the Earth and his love for Princess Serenity of the Moon Kingdom. Queen Metallia, sensing the malice in Beryl's heart, granted her power to turn Endymion's subjects against him, leading to the battle between the Earth and Moon that ended the Silver Millenium. Sealed when Queen Serinity gave her life to banish the darkness, she has recently awakened with her master, Queen Metallia, and forged an alliance with other forces of darkness under the Obsidian Pact, to complete the goals of her master and acheive what she failed to gain the first time; power, and the love of a Prince.
