Synopsis:	The Kickboxing Nationals are interrupted by a youma.

Hannah Sharpe has posed:
The venue for the Nationals has ended up being Infinity University's gym! Everything's been spruced up, re-painted, and generally made to look even more advanced than usual. The bleachers are utterly packed, with the two remaining teams not eliminated during the former competitions being Infinity's own, and Verone!

There's drinks and snacks available all throughout the competition, a few volunteers walking the bleachers and stands with drinks available. The seats are plush, at least for bleachers, comfy, and the crowd howls as the teams are introduced, by Captain first as the two teams parade out in their protective gear.

Hannah, sporting the colors of Infinity, raises both of her hands enthusiastically. If one were to just look at her, she'd seem completely ready, but she's been through a lot. Those who know her here? She seems tired, and the rumors surrounding Infinity's kickboxing star are dire indeed, as well as mostly ridiculous.

Hannah walks back over after the teams are introduced, and one of her junior members steps up, and the first match starts. She cheers them on, Ao giving Hannah a play-by-play despite the announcer doing the same! With a ring of the bell, fists and feet fly!

Those in the magical know might feel something odd. All of the energy of the crowd is high, but there's something menacing and dark seemingly all around the large gym. It covers the ceiling and floor, permeating the building.

There /is/ a Stockroom though where there seems to be slightly higher feelings of dread. Nothing happens yet, but it might be enough to put people's hairs on the backs of their neck up!

Vespa Rayne has posed:
Vespa in the bleaches watching with interest, she not much into it as everyone else but the fairy on top of her head is cheering and yelling! "Whoo! It's time for Mortal Kombat!" Vespa sighs. "I think you need to cut back on the fighting games Sunbeam. "Aww your no fun Vespa.", the fairy says pouting a bit. "oh did you see that kick??", and she right back into the match. Vespa suddenly feels a chill run down her spine. She hms looking around. "..something isn't right here..", she pauses. "Something isn't quite right..", there nothing she can do about it at the moment but she keeps alert in case something does happen, Vespa hopes nothing does.

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa woke up at some point last night, left Hannah's apartment then raced home to Infinity to a VERY GRUMPY Corvus that she stuffed into a cage so he couldn't stop her from visiting Hannah-chan and being angry at her. Thusly. Corvus is sitting next to her on the bleachers, perched on the edge of a box and slowly eating an entire cake by himself with a fork. No one finds it particuarly odd that a raven is eating a cake with a fork next to her. It HOWever did make Corvus forgive her. This one time.

Though maybe he won't care next time if it ends in whole cakes.

Haruna is watching the going ons as she head tilts, hands in her lap as she watches, peek over to Hannah and back at the matches.

Corvus seems to tap the fork to his beak, as if sensing something for a moment, but shrugs and goes back to shoving more white frosted chocolate cake into his beak.

Takashi Agera has posed:
Takashi Agera has had an interesting few days - the effects of channeling so much negative energy in that recent fight are still affecting his personality, though he's better today than he was yesterday. It'd be wrong to say he became more of a jerk - just that he had a harder time hiding it. Even today, there's a possibility he wouldn't have shown up if Hannah didn't go to his school - if this wasn't a matter of pride for himself. Even then, he's arriving late, just now walking out of one of the entrances.

He arrives just in time to see the first match start, and cheers a particularly good hit by Hannah's teammates as he's walking down the steps, before he continues to look for a place to sit.

Any latent negative energy is hard to pick up on over the roaring feeling of the emotional turmoil within himself.

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Mikoto has been having a fine few days of school, without any big fights coming up outside of the Kendo team's practice meets. It's been actually relaxing. And so she's here today, showing up to support her school's competitor - Hannah. She doesn't know the girl terribly well, but she wouldn't mind getting to know her better. The pervading negative energy worries her, though, and she spends her time sitting and watching, warily awaiting the worst, fingers idly reaching for Carnwennan's storage form as she tries to focus on the match.

Madoka Kaname has posed:
    Though one school sports teams making it to National competition was a pretty big deal this is normally not the type of event one would normally find Madoka Kaname. For one thing she's only attended actual classes at Infinity for a few months and the necessary school spirit has yet to be fully instilled in her. For another she knows nothing about kickboxing except that it likely involves both kicking and boxing. Finally there's the fact that large groups of people she doesn't know bothers her.

    Counterbalancing all of this out is one simple fact: she's recently made friends with the Kickboxing team's captain, Hannah Sharpe. Though she hasn't known her long Hannah is important to Madoka, and when it comes to supporting people important to her she's always there to give it her all.

    She'd had a surprising amount of trouble finding a friend to bring that didn't either already have their own ticket or other plans for the night. Going herself was something she might be willing to cope with, but in the crowd she'd rather not. So instead she'd brought along the person who had been teaching her some rousing cheers; her own mother, Junko.

    As they enter the gymnasium it would look for all the world like this arrangement was the opposite, Junko Kaname leading her daughter to some front row seats on the bottom level of the bleachers. This location better than a mere friend of the Captain could normally obtain, especially without showing up early; Junko straight up bribed the seating attendants, teaching her daughter a valuable lesson on being assertive in getting what you want.

    Now that the event is going in earnest the two are both on their feet, necessitating the same of the row behind them, and behind them, and so on. It makes for a lively atmosphere.

    "Gooo! Everybody do your best! Faito..!" Madoka shouts a bit weakly, only for Junko to shake her head.

    "Madoka, that isn't what we practiced."

    "But... at school? In front of so many people?" She squirms in place.

    Junko takes matters into her own hands, lifting a fist and shaking it towards the Infinity student, "SHOW NO MERCY! BEAT THEM DOWN UNTIL THEY RUN CRYING BACK TO THEIR MOMMIES!"

    Madoka's face turns bright red. Still, she help but be inspired at the audacity of it. "Kick their butts!!!"

Hannah Sharpe has posed:
One cheering fan behind Vespa hears the fairy...and seems to think she said it!

A big, bulky hand slaps her on the back!

"Da! Is good to be enjoying fight! Remind me of home!" Comes a big russian man who seems to be making the bleachers creak a bit.

"Gooooo Infinity Team!"

There's a noticable block of people avoiding where Takashi sits. Something about his feeling right now seems to push them away, latently feeling all of that magical energy and evil in him!

Haruna would find a volunteer walking up to her!

"Would you like some peanuts, pretzels, a drink?" Comes the middle school girl with green hair. Smile! That pack of peanuts is ripe for the stealing by Corvus!

Hannah, as Mikoto is looking, turns around and sits up on her team's bleacher.

"Hah! We'll clean their clocks!" She yells out to the audience, grinning, filled with school spirit!

And then there's Junko and Madoka! Half the team, and a few cheerleaders jump or yell out encouragement!

"NO MERCY FOR VERONE! SEND THE OLD MONEY PACKING!" Echoes Hannah, poor Madoka's voice lost in the chanting as the match heats up! But her mother has certainly gotten her fired up!

God help everyone if those two ever meet in person.

The match is going evenly! The two junior fighters last several long, gruelling rounds, before a lucky strike from the Infinity team finally puts down the Verone fighter!

The dazed Verone member is helped up after the count, and led off for some light medical attention. They're conscious about student health in such a dangerous kind of competition!

The next two matches go swiftly. Both are nearly evenly matched, the two teams in top shape. It ends up an even score: two wins, two losses, and the final fight between the two team captains. Hannah steps into the ring as she stops, pumps a fist and blows a kiss to the crowd with a cheeky grin!

"Cheer me on boys and girls!"

Ding ding ding! The taller opponent is a bit slow, taking a few jabs from the lighter Hannah, before she gets a hard one to the head! She staggers back, but takes the next two blows with her fists! A counter-kick, and the two dance around in a harrowing battle!

All throughout the fight, as the violence and school spirit increases, so too does the feeling of darkness rise. It's disquieting, even for the mundane, and there's a few mutterings of the crowd. Hannah tenses at the wrong moment, and takes a blow to the face, sending her to the ground!

She gets up at the count of three, struggling to concentrate!

Deep below the gym, a faulty containment cell finally breaks down, and lets loose its contents.

Hannah lands a harsh uppercut, sending her opponent to the ground! She's battered, bruised, but in a show of skill and a bit of luck, she's put them down! 1....2....3...

5....6...7...

8...9...

There's an unholy howl as people begin to pass out, both teams and in the audience. Right in the middle of the ring a burst of dark energy blows through it, sending Hannah and her opponent careening from the ring to the floor, rolling about. Hannah coughs and sputters, stunned, as a gigantic creature rises from the resulting hole! A dozen tentacles with sharp spiked tips writhe and lash, crushing the ring as a bulbous body lurks. The youma is /massive/, and a creeping tentacle goes for the first source of magical power it can get!

It wraps around Hannah's ankle, and starts drawing her towards a maw in the center of its body!

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Haruna Kurosawa winces as Hannah takes a blow to the face. So she gets up and places a foot on Corvus's box and points. "GET UP SHARPE-CHAN! BEAT 'EM UP!" she yells. She makes punchy motions in the air. "BEMPPH UP!" says Corvus with a mouth full of cake.

Wait, monster!?

MONSTER!?

TRYING TO EAT HANNAH-CHAN!?

"Rollin' Mirror Change!" yells Haruna as people fall unconcious around her. In a bright, seafoam green flash, Cure Gull takes Haruna's place and she dashes forward toward's the ring, coming down in a chop to try to sweep Hannah-chan off her feet! She's not worried if she can get Hannah-chan somewhere so she can activate her device- but right now- she's just regular old Hannah and not Miss White-chan!

"GET AWAY FROM MY JERKY FRIEND!" she yells.

Vespa Rayne has posed:
"..and of course a monster appears.", Vespa says with a deadpan voice, seeing everyone around her has passed. Sunbeam is fluttering around her head. "Just don't stand there go do something! "Okay okay! I'm going!"
"Gaint killer come!", she says and a bright light engufs her and now she has a masive axe in her hand and in compelty different outfit! She jumps from the stands bring her axe down on the massive Youma!

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
"Alright, this is beginning to get annoying. I wanted a day to -relax- after the last mess, not another new fight." She scowls and watches various people transform in front of her. Some people really don't pay much attention to secret identities. Although, it is true that most of the civilians around them are out cold, by that point.

    "So. One monster here... is that all there is to it?"

    "Wide Area Search, Stealth Mode, commencing," Carnwennan's voice answers her, and there's a brief flash of light as the Belkan rune-circle surrounds her for a moment. Another brief flash, and Mikoto's school uniform is replaced by Tessen's barrier jacket. Her rapier quickly drawn, she hops from seat to seat through the crowd of sleeping civilians towards the creature.

Takashi Agera has posed:
Takashi has joined along in the cheers - though his seem to be decidedly more... violent. He's matching Junko Kaname for urging Hannah onto violent victory. The lack of people around him is uncommon, but not unheard of - sometimes people wisely keep their distance from him. The two matches that are losses draw especially loud condemnation from the Science Club member.

Hannah's request for cheering is met by an especially loud response - maybe even one she can hear - of Takashi telling her 'not to lose' but that passes for excited cheering in his state.

No matter what's going on in his heart, though, eventually the circumstances change - rapidly. When the monster bursts through the floor, Takashi's first thought is 'who authorized this experiment here, I'll kill them' - since Youma shouldn't be spawning at random on Infinity's Campus! - and his second thought, followed closely behind is for Hannah's saftey.

The people around him have fallen unconscious, but his henshin doesn't come with bright colors and general protection from being spotted changing, so he has to fall back - quickly - to the entranceway. He sees the others transform. And the situation is dire enough that even with his befouled outlook, he's worried for Hannah - but he also knows if he engages he might exacerbate the situation, with others thinking he might be responsible.

He's also worried about people connecting dots, or blowing Hannah's cover for someone she hasn't shared it with. So he stays back - for once hoping the magical girls succeed. And that feeling is, oddly enough, helping cleanse some of that foulness from his heart.

Madoka Kaname has posed:
    Madoka lets out a gasp as that lucky hit sends Verone student to the ground. They're using all the proper safety equipment but she can't help but notice the way he went down like a sack of potatoes after that blow. "I hope he doesn't get a concussion..." she says with a little sigh, wondering if she'll be seeing anyone from this competition at the hospital later.

    Junko is watching the young man too, and lets out a long sound of curiosity as he's met by his teammates. She puts her arm around Madoka's shoulders and points towards him, "There, on his face, do you see it, Madoka? He just got showed up in front of everyone and he's not going to forget it. That's the look of determination. That boy is going to use his failure as motivation to get even stronger, and when Nationals come back around next year he's going to be back, and your classmates had better be ready for him. You should learn something from an example like that."

    "Does that mean he's actually better off losing now so he'll be stronger for next year?" Madoka asks, looking at the Verone students face and expression, and then up to her mother.

    "Hmm..." Junko thinks a moment or two before responding. "In this case I think that's true. Some people are motivated more by success, but everyone should be ready to let their failures push them as well."

    This little conversation goes on long enough that Madoka almost misses Hannah taking her place and getting ready to fight. The pink haired girl cups her hands to her mouth, "You can do it Hannah-chan!"

    Junko's own cheers get especially rowdy after Madoka tells her it's her friend fighting. "KNOCK HIS LIGHTS OUT! GET IN THERE AND MAKE HIM WISH HE'D NEVER BEEN BORN!"

    Madoka does her best to follow suite, though lets out a worried squeal as Hannah takes that hard hit. That icky feeling in the air makes her feel rather gross, but it's hard to separate from the emotional hit of seeing her friend get decked. "Get back up, Hannah-chan! ...get back up and give him twice as much right back! Kick his teeth in!!"

    Junko, looking eminently proud, slips a small 'water bottle' with some suspiciously colored liquid in it and starts to take a drink.

    And right about there is when all hell breaks lose. Rather than merely screaming Madoka outright shrieks as the horrifying monster springs up through the gym floor, the powerful magic rocking her and dazing her on her feet. If she hadn't been exposed to magic recently she'd probably be slumped over with everyone else.

    As for Junko... she is mortal, but also incredibly strong willed. Almost strong enough to shake off the negative energy.

    Seeing this Madoka reacts, not knowing what to do, but somehow being more terrified of her mother learning about tentacle monsters attacking her school than the monster itself. She reaches over, and tips up that water bottle higher.

    Glug, glug, glug, glug.

    Even Junko can't take the double whammy of too much liquor and negative energy. "I'm sorry, Mom..."

Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Haruna's shouts raise Hannah's spirits after that blow! And so too does the cheering from Takashi (And of course ever-enthusiastic Junko!)! With the help of her friends she manages to keep going!

"I...I won't lose here! I have too many friends looking on! I HOPE YOU'RE NOT ATTACHED TO YOUR TEETH!" She 'looks' back to the crowd, and right at Junko and Madoka, grinning woozily!

At least until gigantic black blobby spike-slime youma burst through! Cure Gull descends, her fist slamming into that tentacle grabbing Hannah's ankle! The blobby appendage is smacked, and the creature growls in irritation.

Haruna's words only meet more roaring from the creature, and its tentacle re-forming, but shorter this time! It lashes out, trying to smash Gull-chan into the ground hard enough to leave shattered floor!

Vespas has a little more luck, as a trio of tentacles aim to grab and pull her in! That swinging axe hacks up all of them! They fall back to the ground, and slowly inch back to the creature to be reabsorbed! So far, blows only seem to make it angry, even if they slow it down slightly!

As Mikoto charges, the creature makes what's best described as phlehm-gathering sounds in its maw. The creature then purses it's maw, and a massive burst of black /gunk/ aims for Mikoto! The stench of it all is horrible, like chewing tabacco combined with rotten food. No doubt it'd churn stomach and body alike if it hits!

Takashi, at least for now, goes unmolested by the gigantic creature as he stands back. Indeed, it almost seems oddly afraid, instead focusing on the magical girls. But there's a wealth of data to gather here, as well as a few names to check in Eclipse databases! Someone needs to pay for all of this!

And thus Junko falls along with the rest thanks to a minor case of adolescent delinquency from Madoka! Is this the long hard road to Magical Punk Biker Girl Mado-chan!?

Likely not, as perhaps sensing Madoka's talent, there's a tentacle or two sliding her way! And more than one civilian is in danger of being similarly dragged off by the inky, horrible things!

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Somewhere, Desparia is already writing the pink slips.

Corvus is yelling from the bleachers and still eating cake. He has really good faith in Cure Gull's abilities by now that he feels she doesn't need a shoulder bird at the moment. However, he does hover over to Madoka. "Kaname-chan, you should. Um. Run. Right now!" he says worriedly.

Corvus makes tail back up towards the top of the gym.

Cure Gull, meantime, trying to save Hannah-chan and calls out an attack after spinning the dial on the PreBrace and makin the call! "Gull Windy Hurriane!" she yells out as a blast of wind shoots up from around the monster, trying to send it straight up at the top of the ceiling and possibly make it spin and get dizzy or something---if it can.

Vespa Rayne has posed:
"Oh it's the feathered one.", Vespa comments to herself seeing Cure Gull. She hms seeing the tentales she cut off getting aborbed back into the main mass. She looks at Hannah. "Don't worry were going to get you out of this mess!" As Cure Gull wind attack (hopefully) get the monster airbore Vespa throws her axe at youma hopefully hitting it and possibly sending it threw the roof with the extra momentum!

Takashi Agera has posed:
Takashi watches from afar - torn between his desire to do something for Hannah, his need to keep his identity secret, and a still-festering ball of hatred. But eventually he does resolve to do something small - something perhaps Hannah might notice, even, but something that will keep him from being directly visible. From his gauntlet, two little spheres detach.

These small, ebony orbs rocket toward the youma, and taking up residence around Hannah, orbiting nearby at high speed and occasionally creating small beams of energy that attack the tentacle, in the hopes he can get the thing to unhand his Lab Partner.

Madoka Kaname has posed:
    As Junko falls to the floor Madoka steps forward and half catches her, easing her to the ground so she doesn't smack her head on the bleachers in the process. When she looks up there are several magical girls who have burst from the woodworks and started attacking the monster, defending Madoka, her mother, and everyone else in the process.

    "What should I do?" she frantically asks no one, unsure if she should simply run, try to find some way to help, or try to drag her mother somewhere a bit more out of the way and safer. Half on instinct she starts looking at some of the other collapsed people around herself to make sure they're unhurt, only to quickly get completely overwhelmed by the number of them. It's quickly obvious that a one girl triage team isn't going to accomplish much at all.

    If it weren't for Cure Gull, who Madoka has met a few times though never before actually witnessed fighting, she might go do her best to try and help Hannah, but it seems she's already getting far more direct help than the pink haired girl could offer herself.

    "Corvus-chan," she calls to the silver bird as he speaks to her, "I... I wish there was more I could do to help, but you're right!"

    Her mind made up with the assistance of the Gull's feathery friend she goes over behind her mother, about ready to try and lift her up and try dragging her slowly from the gym when her leg gets yanked out from under her.

    Another shriek of surprise and terror, and she kicks and thrashes as the Youma drags her towards itself. Trying to crawl away doesn't seem to help, so she starts trying to get creative, looking around for anything she can get her hands on. The first thing she finds is the half-empty water bottle of booze, but soft plastic just bounces off.

    After she's been unceremoniously dragged a quarter of the way to the center of the gym floor she's close to a tripod holding a video camera that was recording the event. Since this is Infinity it's a large HD one. She sits up, momentarily going with the direction she's being pulled rather than fighting it, and then lunges grabbing onto it and tipping it over, slamming down the expensive video equipment right on top of that terrible thing that has a hold of her leg!

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Some fights go easy. Some are destined not to. It looks like this one is yet another of the latter. Mikoto would -much- rather be sitting in the bleachers, cheering on her fellow athletes. That's how she was -supposed- to be spending the day. Not dealing with hentacle monsters that spit condensed /eewwwwwww/.

"Round Shield," speaks a familiar voice, and the named defense interposes itself between her and the oncoming blast of goo.

With the defense handled, Tessen sees no reason not to go on the attack, putting her fencing skills to good use as she closes in on the creature, fending off further attacks. "Hey, kid! Step it up!" she calls out to the dithering Madoka, and she is pleasantly surprised when the girl does just that - and is smart enough to destroy the video camera, as well, that might have given away far too much of what's going on for comfort.

Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Getting blasted by dark energy, as Mamoru can no doubt attest, hurts. At first she's just mumbling and groaning in Gull's arms. The girl unleashes cleansing winds, and manages to kick the giant creature into the air! It floats there, tossed around, and many civilians are dropped!

Which is only amplified by that spinning axe! It cuts through the air, and bisects a third of the creature! Its cut third lands, and melts into the hole it created! But now it's gushing that very same black goop, spilling down and beginning to coat the floor!

Suddenly, there's a duo of black balls by her, and the orbiting things fire out! They cut at a few of the tentacles still grasping for her, and manage to land at the creature itself as it goop-bleeds! Seems for now she'll be okay, but that rising puddle of goop is a problem!

So far, thanks to the magical girls, no one's yet seriously harmed aside from Hannah! But danger is rising, and then out comes that tentacle!

Madoka proves tenacious, however! Smashing that heavy camera down upon the tentacle! There's a schlick sound as metal and force and pure Madoka pluck causes both to smash apart. It wiggles on her ankle, before the rising goop melts it! That stuff doesn't look healthy, and it's getting closer to the civilians and Madoka!

One very dirty shield spell later, and Mikoto's lashing rapier cuts into the creature! More tentacles fall as quickly as they regrow! The creature wobbles, backing off, and finally begins to suck in air with what remains of its maw!

That growing goop backpedals, being sucked into the creature's mouth, the being puffing up like a balloon! Danger and dark magic fills the air as the thing trembles! The heroines gathered need to act fast!

Madoka Kaname has posed:
    The video camera crashes down and smashes the tentacle hard enough to splatter it, and Madoka crawls away as quickly as she can. She kicks her leg a little after getting up, trying to flick that oozy goo off of her, partly because she's worried it might be harmful and partly because it's disgusting.

    Considering how poorly running away worked out last time she decides, quickly this time, to try something else, especially now that she's proven that a strong enough smash can get people free.

    She may not be a Magical Punk Biker Girl, but for the next few moments she might seriously look like it. She runs around where those smaller tentacles attack people knocking over cameras, sports equipment, and flinging people's bookbags by their straps like missiles- effectively trashing the place but hopefully managing to knock a tentacle or two loose in the process.

    With people unconscious she's not sure how much it helps since they can't get up and run, but she's trying!

    One of these ends up being a large stage style light, and Madoka doesn't realize that cable going to it is live power. When she knocks it over onto a tentacle it lets out a loud zap, pop, and bursts into flames! She lets out another little scream of fear while backpedaling quickly, nearly falling over as she tries to get away.

    Only... that fire suddenly gives her an idea. She looks around frantically for something for several moments, only to return to the source of that fire.

    In her hand she's holding the waterbottle filled with high proof liquor.

    Swallowing hard she unscrews it sticks the top towards, admittedly rather small, flames. Almost immediately it lights, a bright flame emanating from the top of what now is a very real, dangerous weapon.

    "..." Madoka steps closer to that growing blob.

    "THIS IS FOR MOM, YOU GIANT PILE OF TRASH," she shouts at the top of her lungs, pulling her arm back and flinging the bottle towards it. It tumbles in the air, burning alcohol spewing everywhere.

    But mostly at the Youma.

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Corvus screams from some catwalk or support beam high above. "What are you waiting for Gull! Make with the purifying already!" he insists. Cure Gull looks back at the creature and frowns. "R..Right!" she says. She raises her arm and the heart gem on the Lovely PreBrace sparkles as it charges up for the attack! "Wings of Hope! Tu----"

Woah did Madoka-chan just light this on fire!? Her goes wide...

"Awwww yeah! That's it Madoka-chan!" she says with wide eyes.

"GULL!" yells Corvus. "Oh. right!"

"Wings of Hope! Turn into a sacred power!----- Lovely PreBrace!"

She calls out. Claping the brace. "Pretty Cure!---- Hopeful Feather Shoot!" she calls out. Spinning her hands around each other and letting loose a bubbly, winged symbol of hope made of green energy towards the creature...

"Wings of Hope! Return to the heavens!" she calls out.

Vespa Rayne has posed:
Vespa catches her axe as it returns to her. She watches the youma puff up. "Uh-oh that can't be good!" The blade of her axe start to glow with a purple aura. She swings it at the trash youma (yes that what I'm calling it)

"TAKE THIS! FINAL SLICER!", and a a purple arc of light is fired towards the youma!

And there Tessen is in amidst the fight, and putting her blade to use. "Carnwennan, Flicker Stack," she mutmurs, and slender arrows of light start to form, orbiting around her as she slices and dodges tentacles. She hops quickly from one position to the next, spending most of her time dodging the creature as she tries to get at the one holding Hannah. More and more of those arrows of light orbit her with every passing moment, even as she continues fighting, occasional flickers of a Round Shield interposing themselves between her and incoming strikes.

Finally, she leaps back, abandoning the effort to reach Hannah directly, as the others launch their heavy attacks. "Flicker Focus," she calls to the Device in her hand, and a ring of runes forms before her, narrowing as the accumulated Flicker Shots race into it... finally emitting the sum of them in a single blast, directly into the monster's body.

Hannah Sharpe has posed:
A blast of green feathered energy flows towards the puffing creature courtesy of Cure Gull, blasting into it! The pure PreCure Hope causes the creature to pause, as evil and good alike battle, causing it to jiggle and quiver alike as the energies crackle and fight! There's no immediate purification, but slowly, Gull's will and love is defeating the darkness!

An arc of pure purple light smashes towards the creature, combining with the pure love that is already assaulting the beast! The thing howls as Vespa's attack combines, energy building, the rest of the darkness of its mass bulking up in defiance!

Arrows of slight smash into tentacles, and civilians and the few tentacles still trying to get to Hannah being destroyed! Runes form, and a dozen flicker shots crashing into the creature! The love-hope-power energy is overflowing, and beating back the darkness, but it's yet not enough!

Two things happen at almost exactly the same time. A single remaining tentacle lashes out at Madoka, just as the magical girls are distracted, smashing towards the young girl with enough force to send her flying through the bleachers and break bones!

And then she tosses her molotov cocktail. The actual attack does little other than set the gym on fire.

Or it would. Cure Gull might have a sudden flashback to a certain magical girl currently unconscious and hazardous magical chemicals.

Right into the maw it goes, and all of the magical energy explodes just as pure fire lights up the flammable materials within the creature.

KABOOM!

Infinity Gym now has a sunroom. As in it no longer has a roof period. Or a ring. And there's a massive crater in the middle of the gym.

And there's a huge pile of gunk headed right towards poor Madoka, heroic karma catching up to her, unless someone shields her!

Tessen's barrage of Flicker Shots continues, even as she herself lunges from one position to the next, making herself as difficult a target as possible for any return fire. "That's almost got it," she mutters to herself, "Keep it up..."

And then the new kid gets flattened. Oh, that's not good. "Somebody's gotta teach that kid to dodge," she tells herself.

Her next leap takes her closer to Madoka, and that's a good thing, since she's in position to see the monster's last shot lash out at her. "Barrier Flash," speaks a voice that isn't hers -or- Carnwennan's, and a familiar circle forms in the path of the gunk-blast.

"That'll teach you to mess with Infinity!" she calls out, grinning.

Vespa Rayne has posed:
The combined attack take out the Youma and most of the gym as well. She holds up her axe to block herself rom the spraying goo. ew She looks around.

"Good news We took care of the youma. Bad news The gym has a new skylight. or is that good news as well? hm."

Haruna Kurosawa has posed:
Cure Gull charges back down to the ground and as she does so, she screams "Gull Windy Punching!" out, charging down and hitting the ground with a fist as she sends a wave of wind out towards some of this gunky garbage. It feels particularly familar to her, but she isn't going to really worry about that right now. For now, she's just trying to drive this lively oil slick back to the can it came from!

Madoka Kaname has posed:
    It occurs a little to late to Madoka that while her efforts at smashing the weak tentacles are getting some results that any kind of real retaliation is going to put her in a world of hurt. This comes to her right as she sees the tentacle whipping towards her. No shrieks this time. No, this time she just freezes in place, eyes widening as it comes towards her.

    On the other hand it looks like her little firebomb is right on target! Though, in this frozen moment of fear and regret she realizes that normal fire probably isn't going to do much at all to a magical creature of darkness. As burning alcohol splashes and sets fire to the gym she begins thinking it wasn't worth the risk it all. What effect could it possibly ha-

    A flash of light bright enough to temporarily blind her and an intense wave of heat hits her. The shockwave would be next, except that tentacle gets to her first, hitting her hard enough to send her flying into the bleachers with enough force to smash some of them apart. She bounces off of them, rag dolling for a moment before dropping limply to the floor, obviously out cold.

    Lucky for her Mikoto acts quickly to prevent the blob of magical gunk from splattering into her- with that horrible hit she just took it might just have finished her off otherwise.

Hannah Sharpe has posed:
Splat! Mikoto saves poor Madoka from her utter end! Her every strike rends the remains of the creature, cutting up any remaining evil gunk that rains towards the civilians!

Vespa blocks the raining stuff! Hannah, for her part, manages to mutter out!

"Could...always...have used a bit more warmth...Ugh!" Cue her finally passing out in inhuman agony! AUGH!

Wind flashes towards the few remaining bits of gunk that seek to destroy the poor civilians, Gull's attack sending the rising bulk of that one third of the creature into the air as it leaps up from the hole it created! The purifying winds cause it to utterly dissolve, that explosive energy contained!

Madoka passes out. On the one hand, by pure chance, she did damage to the creature. On the other, she's now unconscious and only the interferance of a magical girl (again) did she survive. It's Kyubey's greatest dream, if only she were awake!

Third?

The gym is /ON FIRE/ and there's ambulances in the distance and fire alarms going off. People should make their escape, or try to wink out the fire!

There's a fire, there's gunk everywhere - there's chaos - the remnants of a Youma attack. But there's also a victory for the magical girls, and his orbs return to him.

There is also still a fire, and an unconscious Hannah Sharpe. Which means someone has to do something. And this, this is something he can do without exacerbating the situation.

There's a flash, a blur of dark movement as Takashi, in his henshin, flies through the firey gym as most other people are trying to leave, collects Hannah in his arms, and rushes with her somewhere safe - escaping through the open roof of the area.

He looks down at her unconscious form, and even as he fights the last sticky vestiges of dark emotions from his heart, he can't help but be snarky. "We really have to stop meeting like this." he says to her.

Tessen is a bit busy to notice Takashi making off with Hannah. Probably a good thing, that, since she'd feel obliged to intervene and make sure that the girl got to proper medical treatment. ... well, maybe Takashi will get her there anyway.

Instead, she turns to Madoka, gathering the girl up to get her away to where she can care for her wounds. It's likely to be a long night for someone. It's off to the hospital for the pink-haired girl.

(With any luck they'll end up in the room right next to Hannah and Takashi's.)

Cure Gull blinks, okay. /Riventon-chan(?!)/ *swoon* totally just stole Hannah away. At least, a very familar blur did. She's cool with that. They're friends, right!? Gull motions Corvus down. "Let the authorities do the work now. They're here. We're just gonna confuse them and stuff." she says as she turns into a sea-green beam of light and zips upwards and to the right towards her dorm room!

It's like /right/ there!
