Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Its been a few days since Shinobu was actually in school. Its been a few days since she actually left her dorm, period. Everything that has happened lately has left her a complete and total mess. She has been struggling to find which way is up, even after her warpath.

Finally she is out and about. She couldn't stay hiding in her room anymore. She isn't her usual self but she is at least trying now. Her feet have carried her to the Crown Center. As memory serves, They have an oversized plush with her name on it. She's taken to playing some skiball foe now as she is just trying to win tickets.

After a few rounds, she has well over a thousand of the things. Even at that, she needs a break. Her attention shifts to the DDR game. Quickly she moves to it and sticks a coin in!

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Mikoto and Minoke - or rather, Miss Blue and Firebird - have just finished one of their regular training sessions, out over the city. A bit of flight, a bit of shooting, and a few new ideas bandied about for possible spells that could come in handy.

Now, however, it's time to relax! Unwind! Destress! And what better place to do that than the Arcade? So they've made their way to the Crown, in search of games, fun, and maybe even lunch.

They've arrived in their civilian identities, having abandoned their henshins before heading for the Crown. At the door, Mikoto holds it open for Minoke's wheelchair, already surveying the game consoles to see if there's anything new in. She spots Shinobu and grins. "Look who's here, hmm?"

Minoke Sato has posed:
Minoke Sato rolls in, glancingat the new Sailor V games. She then turns her head when Mikoto says something as she rolls over to the DDR game. "Hi, Shinobu. I used to be so good at that game. I am glad to see you again... it has ben sometime, huh? New eyes still working good?"

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura is focused on the arrows. She's never done this before and it shows. Carefully she dances, her movements are about as wooden as an oak. After the song comes to an end, she gets graded as as C. The high score currently held by a Kyo... Wonder who THAT could be!

She turns her attention to Minoke. "Hey hows it going?" She asks with a soft smile. She seems really worn out. "Its nice to see you as well. It's been way too long. Yeah. I can see well enough. I get headaches a lot. The other vision I had before sorta overlapped my normal vision and I see both now. It really messes with me."

She turns and looks over to Mikoto and gives a little wave. She may seem out of it but she is at least alert. "Its been a really long week. Way too much happened and I am still trying to deal with it."

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Mikoto nods, letting the door swing closed as both girls move inside the arcade. She walks in alongside Minoke, pausing to check out a couple of new games, then hurrying to catch up as Shinobu finishes her own game.

"Yes, I know the feeling all too well. New eyes? That's news." She smiles casually. "What's been up?"

Minoke Sato has posed:
Minoke Sato nods. "Your life did change a lot. Oh, Shinobu, this is Mikoto. She is my new tutor. Just getting back from practice." She smiles. "I am going to the Sailor V game. Join me?" she asks as she rolls to the machine and pops a coin in.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura nods and follows along with Minoke. She smiles a little, "That is wonderful. I don't have a mentor. I've been giving a few tips and stuff but, right now I'm sorta lost." She sighs and shakes her head. She doesn't want to be debbie downer but sadly, that is all she has in her at the moment.

She looks at the two and blushes a little, "Umm... I also found out some things. I've sorta been lied to and made a fool out of. When I find that white rat... I swear to whatever deity is listening. " SHe stops. She doesn't say it. Not now. After all, Hinote told her not to give in to that desire.

She frowns, "I guess I will just say it like this. If I don't die before things go bad, I will wind up hurting a lot of people."

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Mikoto doesn't have a clue about the dark secret, so she can't really sympathize too much. She'd like to, though. "White rat...?" she asks, "You mean the.... what's it... Kyubey?"

She shrugs. "So far you seem to be doing alright. And it's part of the whole job with WPS, helping you keep ahead of the whole Seed problem."

She leans back, resting her weight on a convenient railing, bracing herself with both hands. "I'd be glad to help you train, but I don't really know that much about how your thing works..." She's talking around it, of course, it's obvious what she means - if you already know. Anyone else who might overhear, however, wouldn't.

Minoke Sato has posed:
Minoke Sato nods. "From what I hear, Puellas have a tough row to hoe," she murmurs quietly as she starts level 1-1. "Hey, Sailor V is much cooler in person... met her recently." She hums as she is getting close to the boss fight. "I am asking about joining WPS."

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura nods slowly, "I've not gotten to talk to Miss White lately. But I joined up with them. No one really knows much about my magic though. I don't really mention it outside it being time related. Put bluntly, I dunno who I can trust anymore."

She turns her attention to Mikoto and shakes her head. "Yes. That thing. I would like nothing more then to bring on the Seasons Finale on that little skunk." She frowns. "It turns out I'm destined to either die or become what I hunt."

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Mikoto nods. "I have a meeting with her tomorow nigth... perhaps you could bring it up then."

She takes in the last comment, and finally puts it together. "You.. oh, that rat FINK. Yeah, that's going to friggin' SUCK. And that means that every single one of 'em is some poor, lost kid?"

Minoke Sato has posed:
Minoke Sato blinks, distracted by the conversation and gets ganked on her game. "Would you two mind telling me what you are talking about? Destined to become wht you hunt?" she asks blankly.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura sighs, "The destiny of a Puella Magi is to become a Witch. I don't know why that rat would do this. What is in this for him. I don't want to be a witch. Thise things kill people. I don't wanna die either but, the way it seems, I am pretty much done for."

She sighs a little and sits on a stool. "I have one hope right now. I hope to live long enough that I can see the cherry blossom festival."

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
"You'll live to see it," Mikoto snaps, her grip on the railing tightening as her anger starts to get the better of her. She takes a moment to force herself to relax, then adds, "And the one after that, oo."

Minoke Sato has posed:
Minoke Sato blinks. "Oh... can that really hapen? Nice people become monstrs like Walnut-chan?" she asks, disbelief on her fce. "Shinobu, you are a wonderful person. My friend. I won't let you become that!"

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura smiles a little to Mikoto and to Minoke. "Its tough. I don't know if I will be able to avoid it. I was pushing so hard I had my gem almost black in the past few days. Its this knowledge. I knowledge. It wouldn't be so bad if they wouldn't of lied to me. I thought Homura was my friend but she lied to my face!"

She sighs and just turns away. She finds the closest game and loads a coin in. Galaga. It had to be something all retro. She simply begins playing letting the images dance in front of her. She doesn't want to think about the nightmare. The fact that she seen what she is doomed to be in a dream. Maybe its time she had a little chat with her old 'friend'?

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Mikoto pushes off her railing-perch and walks over towards Shinobu, even as the girl turns away. "Homura, too, huh? Well. To heck with her, and the white rat, and everything."

She wraps her arms around Shinobu from behind, hugging her close and tight, chin resting on her shoulder. So she can watch the game, of course, she's careful to leave Shinobu's arms unencumbered. Wouldn't do to interrupt someone's fun.

Minoke Sato has posed:
Minoke Sato just stares, speechless. She just reaches over to put a hand on Shinobu's shoulder. "Not on my watch. I have so few friends. I will not lose you so soon. Anything I can do, tell me." She turns to Miko. "Why are the Puellas so... cursed? I do not get it."

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura shrugs, "All I know is I want answers and I won't be happy until I get them. Sadly that won't happen until I meet with the rat." The embrace and does affect her though. She tears up a little as she continues playing her arcade game. Then the caring hand on her shoulder gets her crying pretty good.

"I just want to be free but. I made the contract. I'm pretty much done for.I didn't know just how bad this was. I don't think any of us did until after we made our wishes. I gave away everything so I could live. Now I found that isn't going to happen."

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Mikoto hmms softly, keeping up the embrace, warm and comforting as she can make it. "There has to be a way, Shinobu-chan. It's just a matter of finding it. Please, promise me you won't ever lose hope. Because we will find a way."

She gives the girl a gentle squeeze, then adds: "On my honor as a Knight, I swear it."

Minoke Sato has posed:
Minoke Sato murmurs, "On my honor as a mage, I will find a way. This I swear." She sighs. "I want to get hold of this rat too if he is handing out poisoned wishes." She keeps her hand on Shinobu's shoulder.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura dies in her game and she reaches out to touch both Minoke and Mikoto's hands. "I"m sorry. I wish I would have known it would have lead to this in the first place. I think dying in that labyrinth might have been better then being under that things contract." She turns to look at her friends and it's clear by her red eyes that she is really upset.

"One day at a time. One foot before the other. Thats how it's gotta be. I've heard of people fighting for their lives. well I guess this is literally that. I will keep on going. I can do this! I know it!" She states as she stands up. Her gaze shifts over to the oversized plushie hanging up. One that has purple fur and looks all too fluffy. So fluffy she could die in fact! "Right now, I hope, to win that right there. I only need eight thousand more tickets!"

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Mikoto smiles and lets go of Shinobu as the girl stands. "That's the spirit," she murmurs. "Every step is one more step towards victory."

She looks around at the machines, considering which ones give tickets and which ones she'd do best at. "Never forget you have friends, Shinobu-chan. Friends who'll help you with what you need, and do it because you're their friend." Not for gain, or for alliance or profit. For friendship. Because you're important to them.

After a minute's consideration, she picks out a machine and starts feeding in coins. "Now then. How many tickets did you say you needed?"

Minoke Sato has posed:
Minoke Sato rolls over to the skee-ball game. She has learned about physics and seems to be doing quite well. "We will get you your prize."

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura smiles weakly as she looks between Minoke and Mikoto. "Okay! I Think I can manage some pool!" She glances back at the pool table and smirks. Someone happens to be back there with a nice big stack of tickets. A little hustling goes a long way."

She glances to Mikoto and giggles just a little. "Oh another 9000. The thing costs 10000 tickets. I got some from skeeball a little bit ago." With that she goes back to play pool. A girl who uses a stick to live is about to play a game involving one. This'll be good!

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
Hoshi was feeling a little bored, a little lonely, and none of her close friends were available, so she decided to go alone and headed over to the game corner regardless. She doesn't seem to be entirely sure what she wants to do, just browsing the games and looking around while a five-pointed yellow star is soundlessly shouting while holding some kind of video game controller.

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Mikoto has settled in at a Macross pachinko machine, feeding in a few coins at a time and carefully watching the balls fall through the machine's channels. Time to get a feel for how it goes, before she starts seriously pushing for tickets.

She's just had a very emotional moment, after all. Needs a little time to steady out. And she's promised Shinobu to help win this!

Minoke Sato has posed:
Minoke Sato nods. "Being a master of gravity does help with understanding how things move. Well... journeyman at gravity. She has observed how things move for a while. She's playing legit, even though Vortex beeped once - she tapped the Device to be quiet as she keeps going.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura gives a smile to the pool shark in the back. She gets out 500 yen and sets it on the table. He simply nods to her. "YOu put your tickets up, I am putting cash. I think it will be fair."

The man silently nods.

He racks them up and she grabs a cue. Its a bit awkward to use a stick in this manner. After all, she's used to actually BEATING people with a stick as opposed to beating them on a table with a stick. She quietly plays the fool. She doesn't mind that she will lose the yen. It doesn't matter right now.

Within a few minutes, the game is over and Shinobu loses. She gets out another 500 yen, "Lets go again!"

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
Hoshi comes across the other girls, and especially Shinobu, watching the latter cheerfully lose. "I could take some of your money if you're so desparate to get rid of it." She jokes, the girl's tone clearly amused more than anything. One star pops into existence near her head, counting out what seem to be yellow banknotes.

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Mikoto turns away from the pachinko machine to watch Hoshi and Shinobu for a moment, then chuckles lightly. "Oh, I don't know..." she says, casually. Then she feeds a few coins into her machine, and starts launching balls.

Her earlier observations seem to have paid off, she makes a small score this time, and grins. "Now we're on a roll... let's go!"

Minoke Sato has posed:
Minoke Sato squeeeeees as she hits the high score and gets a bunch of tickets. She fetches them and then rolls over towards Hoshi. "What's up with your stars?" she asks blankly as she has a bunch of tickets already, but doesn't want to interrupt Shinobu.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu gives a smile to Hoshi. "Nice Stars." She states bluntly as she scratches off the eight ball. Instant loss. She sighs and shakes her head. "This just isn't my day." She fishes out some more Yen. 1000 yen! She sets it down. "One more. All or nothing."

The man just laughs He shrugs, "I'll take some more of your money. Silly girl." He racks em up again.

This time there is something just a little different. She stretches, cracking her neck and her back. She breaks and sinks two balls. Both solids. From there. Its all down hill for the man.

As the game closes, He looks completely crushed. He just got hustled and he knows it. He hands over all of his tickets and the money he took from her. She does a quick count. She is now up to eight thousand tickets.

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
"Thank you." Hoshi responds to Shinobu with a bright smile, and Minoke gets an equally kind, "I don't know, really. They're my friends I guess?" She sounds like that's both true and not the whole truth, hiding a little. "They're silly sometimes."

Then Shinobu finishes hustling someone, Hoshi pities the guy, a little. Enough to look through her wallet and her yen bills, with a ponderous look. She puts it back, though, deciding against it to instead point a stern finger at Shinobu, "That wasn't nice what you just did."

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Mikoto hmms to herself. She runs a quick estimation in her head... then starts launching more balls into the pachinko machine's clutches. She's got a good handful or two by this point, but it isn't quite enough for what Shinobu wants.

That's okay. She's got a handle on the machine, now. It just takes very precisely calculated adjustments to the launch power... and tink, tink, tinktinktinktinktink, balls keep pouring out into her tray.

After a bit, she turns to check up on the others again, in time to see Shinobu counting her winnings. And to hear Hoshi's chiding.

"Fellow like that should know better than to try to take money from a cute girl," she says. "He got greedy, he deserves to lose."

Minoke Sato has posed:
Minoke Sato nods. "Indeed..." she muses softly as she hands a wad of tickets over to Shinobu - she got 500. "I'm learning to predict how things will land pretty good," she muses. " So - can I see one of your stars?" she asks Hoshi as she reaches a hand up to touch one (which would probably look weird to a mundane in the Crown).

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura snickers a little to Hoshi, "It wasn't nice to stand there beating people left and right taking all their tickets either. He learned something. And Honestly, If that is the worst thing that ever happens to him, then his life is far worse then mine." Yeah! Not like he is slated to become a witch and kill people right?!

She sighs, "Yeah you're right. Sorry." She frowns and now feels guilty.

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
Hoshi doesn't stop Minoke from touching her star. It probably feels a little weird, and leaves a bit of yellow magical residue behind (it'll fade soon enough) but it's physical enough. "What he tried to do isn't nice either, but just because someone is being mean is no excuse to be mean back to them." Hoshi responds to Mikoto with that same stern voice, hands on hips now.

When Shinobu admits that it was mean, Hoshi relaxes and smiles again. "So what's some fun games to play around here? I don't come here often." The ten year old girl admits, though it sounds like 'often' is probably better understood as 'ever.'

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
"And yet the police do it every day, when they arrest criminals." Mikoto shrugs. She's not really interested in debating relative morality with a ten-year-old. She's got a mega-plushie to help win.

"So, see any games you like? I wish they'd get in some of the giant-robot ones... or maybe a fighter-pilot one... something a little more involved than these."

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura smirks and just looks to Mikoto. Of course she doesn't feel like arguing ethics either. They just take a completely different perspective when you've got a doom clock hanging on your neck. Or in her case on her hand as it were. She looks to the games, "I placed the Dancing game earlier. It was interesting. I never did that before." She states to Hoshi before stepping closer to Mikoto.

"Okay With what you have there we might be getting close. I know I've got like eight thousand here. Oh gods I can't wait to see the counter person's face! He is going to trip when he sees all these tickets!"

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
The kid, however does feel like it. "They're not being mean, they're arresting people for breaking the law. We have that so people will have a reason not to break the law." She sounds like she has had this conversation before, "They're people we as a society have given the task to, so that we avoid having people take the law into their own hands." Smart kid, or possibly just a kid with parents who have that kind of influence.

Hoshi seems to sense that maybe it be time to drop the topic around the time she finishes explaining the difference, "Sorry, you guys probably don't want to talk ethics like that. Dad's really into that kind of stuff, it gets a habit. Uhhh... dancing game sounds neat? Where is it?"

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Mikoto contemplates the tray of balls for a moment, then nods. "Let me get this changed for tickets, then, and I'll try the dancing game with you." She flashes a warm smile before she heads off to confront the counter-boy.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Finally with all the tickets together, Shinobu smiles and takes them up to the counter. She gives a smile to Mikoto and to Hoshi who are getting ready to do the dancing game. She just smiles and gives over the tickets. After a few minutes the count comes back 10,053. Shino simply points to the fluffy purple kitty plush that is way too big. It is taken down and given to her. With a big smile she simply hugs it. "OH gods its so fluffy and cute!" She snuggles it and happy dances her way over to the dancing game.

"I got it! See! Omg its fluffy!" She slides it to Minoke so she can feel it and stuff. "Thank you guys. You are the best friends ever!"

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
Hoshi heads towards the dancing game, but not forgetting to look at the fluffy plush. "That's a pretty cool plush." She agrees with a wide smile, then looks at the dancing game, "So, uh... how does this work?" She doesn't quite seem to be the best with computers or games, based upon her apparent confusion.

Minoke Sato has posed:
Minoke Sato smiles. "Well, you see the arrows?" she asks Hoshi. "You watch the screen and you'll see arrows go to thetop and when tehy flash you have to step on that arrow - sometimes two at a time. I used to be pretty good at it..." she murmurs, then sighs as she pets plushkitteh and looks down at her useless legs.

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Mikoto nods, "That is pretty darn cool, Shinobu-chan." She pets it playfully, and steps up to the dance machine...

And then her cellphone goes off. And it's the ringtone she has set for Important Family Business. "Glaaack. Sorry, I have to take this."

She steps away from the games for a minute to talk. "What. ... he did what? With her? ... No, I don't - of course I haven't seen her, I'm in Uminari. ... no, no, that was last week. ... Yes I'm still using it, it's not - no. No, I can't just pick up and move, I've got fif - for gods' sake. If you want me to - alright. I'll find her. Talk to her. But I'm not going to drag her back there just for you to yell at her. ... No, I'm not going to tell you. Look, if you do get hold of her, tell her to call me, okay? Fine." She hangs up and stuffs the phone away with a muttered curse.

"Sorry... sorry. I have to go. My cousin's... done something stupid, and - I have to go find her and talk to her before she does something even more stupid. I'll catch up with you another time, okay? And Minoke-chan, don't forget our tutorial thursday."

She waits just long enough to hug Shinobu and Minoke, if they'll let her, and exchange good-byes. Then she dashes out and hurries off.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura smiles and gives Mikoto a hug. "Thank you so much. I'm going to keep trying. I'm not going to give up hope." She smiles a little and gives the oversized kitty plush a hug.

She reaches over and puts her hand on Minoke's shoulder. "We'll find a way for you to do this again. You deserve it."

As Mikoto explains that she has to leave, Shino quickly moves up to take her place. She smiles to Hoshi. Odds are this is going to be embarrassing. The song kicks on and she starts.

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
Hoshi reaches towards Minoke and attempts to hug the girl, "I'm sorry." She sounds like she has genuine empathy; there's no pity, no obligation in her voice. Still, she keeps it brief, though one of her stars starts orbiting Minoke's head. "Bye!" She waves to Mikoto, and then steps up to the dance machine.

"Oh, I'm Hoshi Kogane." She introduces herself, looking at the steps and then at Shinobu, and steps onto her place on the machine. "I've never done this before, so bear with me." She sounds a smidge nervous, but not so much that she seems like she wants to chicken out.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura smiles, "Its okay, This is only the second time I've done it!" She states to Hoshi. The machine kicks on the song and she watches. "Okay watch the arrows!" She carefully begins stepping on the arrows as they come. She is not really dancing as much as doing some step number. Its kinda painful to watch but at least she is doing better then last time.

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
Hoshi does okay. She's not great at it by any stretch, and like Shinobu she's more touching the buttons as appropriate than anything that can be considered dancing. She's trying, and though she misses a lot, she gets enough points to not totally feel like a loser. "That was a little weird. I'm not sure I liked that."

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura smiles as she notices that she isn't the only one not so good at the game. She did do a little better this time. She got a B grade this time and of course no where near the list of people who did awesome at it. "I think it's an acquired taste. You do it to look cool. I dunno if I will ever really be good at it." She giggles a little bit. "Good going though!"

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
Hoshi gets close to a B, but not quite there. "I don't think looking cool is something I need to worry about." She moves her hand to the side of her face, elegantly throwing some hair to the side like it's the most natural thing in the world. "So what was your name again?" She asks with a warm smile.

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura smiles a little, "I'm Shinobu Kimura. I attend Infinity University." She smirks. If she was in any position to actually enjoy using her magic she'd power up and show off something fierce but, nope. No way. Plus it would technically be cheating. If you know whats coming its hard to be fair after all. "What was yours again... Also you have lovely stars about you."

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
"Hoshi Kogane." Her name means Gold Star, in that order. She makes a small polite bow, "Nice to meet you, Kimura-san." Something about the girl's mannerisms suggests that she may come from old money. "My starpals are interesting creatures, and I find that the people who can see them can be quite interesting."

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura smiles and blushes a little bit. She shakes her head, "I'm nothing interesting. Just a Puella Magi who has way too much on her mind. But I will survive. I've got awesome friends who are going to help me through." She states this but her tone says she is really worried.

Minoke Sato has posed:
Minoke Sato nods as she removes her choker. "Vortex wants to say hi," she states, holding her choker up. The black gem flashes and says, "Greetings to the small stars." "Vortex is my Device."

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
"Ah. What's a Puella Magi?" Hoshi sounds curious, she looks relaxed though, and she doesn't seem like she will care if she gets no answer, or a meaningless one. "Hi Vortex." Another star pops into existence, this one holding a pair of flags that wave in the direction of the black gem. "Kimura-san, if there's anything I can do..."

Shinobu Kimura has posed:
Shinobu Kimura sighs and shakes her head. "A Puella Magi is a girl who made a huge mistake by trusting a very nasty creature. This creature dangles a single wish in front of them, granting them the chance to become magical girls. The only stipulation it mentions is the fact that we have to fight witches. What it doesn't say is that our souls are removed and turned into gems. If those gems become too corrupted, we turn into witches ourselves and become a danger to everyone we know and love. Fun huh!"

She is almost tempted to show exactly what a soul gem is but she doesn't. She's learned that lesson the hard way. So for now her gem stays right where it is. In ring form on her finger.

Minoke Sato has posed:
Minoke Sato murmurs, "We'll find a way..." she whispers softly as Vortex beeps at its new star friend before Minoke puts the choker back around her throat. "I won't lose you so soon..." she whispers.

Hoshi Kogane has posed:
"That sounds like a very cruel trick." Hoshi says very quietly, there's no secret to her being a little bit stunned by hearing this. "I don't know if I can help with that, but if I can, I'd like to." That offer holds all the sincerity in the world, and a little more. It's probably also of little use."
