Synopsis:	Hikari was sitting around the warehouse alone. Except she wasn't alone. Hello, Yoru!

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
It's a late Thursday afternoon in early May, and the warehouse is quiet. Mikoto had had to leave Hikari here, after being chided once too many times for either 'bringing a guest on campus' or 'bringing a pet on campus'. (Hannah's Boris, after all, is a service animal, not a mere pet. Hikari's status as a Guardian Beast would not have impressed the faculty, so Mikoto didn't mention it. )

Hikari got bored with the video-game console shortly after lunchtime. There wasn't anything on tv that caught her interest, either. So right now she's in her birth form, that of a silver-furred snow leopard kitten, stalking through the jungle of spaceship debris and stalking sunbeams.

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
One of the reasons the warehouse is quiet is because... well, Yoru hasn't felt the need to make a lot of noise. He's been sitting in that jungle of spaceship debris, head bowed, hand-paws folded in his lap. His tail's laying flat out behind him, just twitching sadly every few seconds.

In fact this might be what Hikari sees of him first-- from behind some piece of the debris, a tiny blue furry tail much like that of a cat twitches slowly, languidly. It smells like a strange cat, too! Then again, the scent might also be slightly familiar...

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Hikari pads silently on along the path between the mounds of junk. There's a scent she almost recognizes, and it's definitely time to check it out.

Then she realizes where she smelled it before: It was on Mikoto! Mistress has been hanging out with some other cat! Now she has to find that cat. To make sure they aren't trying to steal Mikoto from her!

She pads along towards it, and then catches sight of that twitching tail... she pads closer, and closer... and then pounces!

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
The response is instantaneous. The owner of that tail emits a surprised "NYA!" and flails wildly as he rolls around! Tiny hand-paws and foot-paws wave wildly at Hikari. And yes, the claws are out! HSSS! Yoru is merely startled, however, and after a moment the hand- and foot-paws are pulled back, and the one they're attached to is seen. A human cat? "HEY!" Yoru complains, once he rights himself and reclaims his tail from the pouncing snow leopard kitten. "What's the big idea-nya?" He's still all puffed up, though he's not flailing at her anymore.

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Hikari is in full feline form at the moment, but she definitely smells like a human as well. After all, she spent most of the morning as one. Or pretty close to one, anyway. "Hey yourself!" she yells back, batting at the tail and ducking away from the paws. "This is my hunting ground!"

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Fluff! Yoru's tail is fluffed up. "Miko-chan said I could stay here while we looked for Ikuto-nya," he says, crossing his arms. "I've been lookin' for him all day..." He trails off as it appears she still batting at his tail. He floats up into the air. His ears go back a little. He's not quite up to his usual mischievous self today, else he'd be calling the cats from outside.

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
As Yoru floats up, Hikari jumps after him, until he gets out of reach of even that. Then she flows up into human form and she's flying too! But at least she isn't immediately chasing him.

"You gotta be Yoru, then! Wow, Mistress didn't say you were this cute!" She grins and flies a circle around Yoru, examining him closely.

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Yoru blinks when the cat turns into a person. Talking to cats wasn't a surprise to him; he could do that. Though if he'd taken a moment, he'd have realized he wasn't just hearing the meows or chirps. He was hearing an actual voice! It didn't hit him 'till just then!

Though his surprise causes him to stop where he is when she turns into a person and starts to fly as well. He blinks large yellow eyes at her. "Yup! That's me-nya!" he replies, crossing hs arms and reclining in the air with a smug look. He pauses, though, opening an eye as she starts to fly around him. "But who are you?"

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
"I'm Hikari, nya! Mistress's bestest little sister kitten!" She is still quite young, and there's a reason she doesn't talk much when she's out and about with Mikoto. Being able to talk at all is fun, though!

"So you're with Ikuto just like I'm with Miko-neesan?"

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Yoru blinks. "I didn't know Mikoto had a Chara-nya," he observes. "But she's got that thingie, right?" He makes motions like he's holding something by a chain around his neck. "The Thingie she uses to do the magical stuff. So that's another kind of magic-nya. But it's probably close enough." So he nods! "I'm a Chara! I'm part of Ikuto-nya." He seems to deflate a little. "So that's why I'm lookin' for him so much." Which also explains why he hasn't been seen around here much.

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
"Oh," Hikari says, shrinking down into her kitten form and landing atop her pile of spaceship bits. "I'm not a Chara, whatever that is. I'm a cat!"

She certainly seems to be. "Mistress saved me from a bad magic rock and a crazy mage-girl. She was shooting light at me 'cause she wanted the rock!"

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Now that it seems less likely he's going to end up being a leopard snack, Yoru floats down to the space debris pile too, and sits down. "Oh, I see!" Yoru notes. "Yeah. There's crazy people that'll hurt you if you have somethin' they want-nya..." There's a bitter edge to his voice, and his ears droop. "Ikuto's like that. Somebody thinks he oughtta work for them, so they make him-nya. I guess that's where he is, but I can't get in t'see."

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Hikari nods and stretches out, claws digging into a bit of soft stuff. "Neesan talks about him sometimes. She misses him a lot." She straightens out and curls up to watch the little Chara. "We're gonna help her get him back, right?"

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Yoru nods, his ears still drooping. "I miss him a lot too," he adds. "We're part of each other, so it's really hard not knowin' anything about where he is or what's goin' on." And he nods firmly at the question, his ears perking up. "Yeah! ...Well, I am. I don't wanna say you gotta-nya. But if Miko-chan misses him, it'll make her feel better if he's back too."

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
"I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for nee-san. So I gotta help her. And if Ikuto's what she wants, then Ikuto's what I'm gonna make sure she gets."

Hikari bares her fangs in a grin, she's been trying to copy the human gesture, but she still hasn't grasped that it isn't appropriate on a cat's face.

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
"Nya!" Yoru is suddenly not there. He's hiding behind something in the debris. One can see his tail, fluffy and scared, peeking out. Yoru is not good at hiding. From his hiding place, he notes, "That doesn't work for a cat-nya. You look like you're gonna eat somebody!"

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Hikari's first thought, on hearing that, is that she is a little hungry. Then she remembers that Yoru is supposed to be a person, not a mouse.

She doesn't bother to apologize. Cat, after all.

"I bet there's some snacks in the kitchen," she says, and leaps down off her perch to race across ... mid-air? ... to the kitchen.

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Floating through midair isn't something that's weird to Yoru, not really. But when Hikari mentions snacks? His stomach rumbles loudly, and he places his hand-paws over his middle. "Eheh... I forgot to eat again-nya," he observes. He's been doing that a lot lately.

So he follows Hikari into the kitchen. "What's here that we can eat?" he inquires. "I can cook a little, if we gotta. If you can lift heavy stuff." It's true, while he's tiny he also has proportionate strength to his size!

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Hikari makes it into the kitchen before flowing back into human shape. "I think Nee-san left some stuff to microwave," she muses. "Some of it's pretty good, too." She starts rummaging through the cupboards.

Eventually she finds a jar of something and a bag of chips. "How does chili-cheese nachos sound?"

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Yoru starts poking around the kitchen too, mainly looking through stuff on counter-level while Hikari looks through the cupboards. He opens a thing that looks like a cookie jar, starts rooting around... and then falls in, emitting a surprised 'NYA!' as the lid closes behind him.

However, it's fortunately a light lid, so he pushes it open from the inside. Her question gets a nod. "That might be safer-nya!" he agrees as he pulls himself out of the container.

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
And of course the cookie jar is empty. Mikoto ate them all last night, working on one of her Device experiments. And never refilled it. How rude.

Hikari opens the jar with a pop, spooning its contents out into a big bowl before sliding the whole thing into the microwave.

"Do you like soda, Yoru-chan?"

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
As the microwave starts up, Yoru starts to groom the crumbs out of his fur. Hey, at least they're yummy crumbs! Though he'll have to whine at Mikoto to get more cookies, since he's been known to nip one when she's busy and he doesn't want to bug her when he stops by. Yoru nods to the question as he makes sure the lid's not going to fall off the empty container. "Yeah! What kind does she have?" he asks.

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Hikari ignores the crumbs - she's polite enough for that, at least - and steps over to the fridge to rattle off the list of what sodas Mikoto has decided to keep here. "I like this one," she says, picking out a root beer.

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Yoru finishes getting the crumbs out and then floats over to the refrigerator to take a look himself. "Ooh, I like those too-nya," he says. "Cream soda's too sweet, and doesn't have a lot of flavor besides." He looks in, sees a burgundy-colored can. "OOH! THAT!" He points at that burgundy can. "Can I have one of those-nya?"

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Hikari reaches in and pulls out the can, peering at it. "You like these? I don't think Nee-san drinks them.. she must have gotten them for a guest." She considers for a moment, then: "Well, you're a guest. So okay." She pops the can open and offers it to Yoru.

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
"Thanks!" Yoru replies, accepting the opened can. He seems to be able to lift it, that's good. "These got more than just sugar in 'em. They got lotsa flavors in 'em that aren't sweet. That's good 'cause I can't taste sweet that well-nya." He lifts it to takes a drink as he moves out of Hikari's way.

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
Hikari nods and pops open her rootbeer, taking a swig. Then the microwave dings! "So, you said you're actually part of Ikuto-kun?" She never really did get how charas worked. Just that they existed, and weren't really little Devices.

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
"Mhm!" Yoru confirms. "I'm kinda... what he wants to be. That's what a Guardian Character is. Ikuto doesn't actually want to be a real cat-nya! It's a metaphor. Easter's always been really bad to Ikuto, and they've always kept him. He doesn't want them to keep him anymore. He wants to be free. Free like an alley cat-nya!"

Mikoto Nakajima has posed:
"I was dying," Hikari says, sighing softly. She rips open the bag of chips and pours them out into a bowl, then dips one in the chili-cheez. "Nee-san saved me. Loaned me a bit of her soul. So in a way I guess I am part of her."

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Yoru sets his soda down on the counter and then follows suit with the chip, grabbing one of them and dipping it into the cheesy stuff. Nom! He nibbles on the chip as he listens. With his mouth partially full, he says, "That sounds right-nya. I'm glad she did! Miko-chan needs help, 'cause she tries to do too much."
