This is the beginning of the Dark Endymion arc. As such, it is heavy on dark themes. Tragedy, betrayal, torture, grief, misery, and angst abound. Our heroes cope as best they can, in the myriad ways in which humanity can take action. Do not read if you want to be happy.

With the Prince of the Earth's apparent demise, none of the dreams Elysion guards are good.

Aftermath

The people who loved Mamoru grieve, but keep moving: whatever really happened, there are unanswered questions.

  • Precipice - Kyouko lost one of her two friends. She thinks she knows how to cope. Sayaka proves her wrong. Kyouko, Sayaka
  • I'll Carry On - Tadase must make the announcement to HeartNET that Tuxedo Kamen is dead, and doesn't know how. Tadase, Amu
  • Cutscene: Last Night (Tadase Hotori) - Tadase's announcement to HeartNET
  • Ongoing: Dear Mamo-chan - Usagi's letters to Mamoru
  • Cutscene: A message for HeartNET (Minako Aino) - Minako's announcement to HeartNET and warning to Kunzite
  • What Light through Yonder Window Breaks - Homura's lost one of the only friends she knows she can count on, and has to tell Madoka. Homura, Madoka
  • Home is Where the Hurt Is - Usagi is still in her Princess form, and blames herself for Mamoru's death. Usagi, Rei
  • Cutscene: Desperate Research (Hannah Sharpe) - Hannah is determined to bring Mamoru back from the dead.
  • CSI Mitakihara - Ami and Hannah work on ideas for human resurrection. Hannah, Ami
  • Cutscene: Moonlight Improvisation (Ikuto Tsukiyomi) - Ikuto didn't know him well, but Mamoru encouraged him to seek help; Ikuto comes to some conclusions about this.
  • Surprise Visit - Minako and Artemis stop by Mamoru's, not expecting to find Rei and Usa there. Rei, Usagi, Minako, Artemis
  • Talk of a Friend - Mamoru made all kinds of friends. Hannah and Tadase talk about him. Hannah, Tadase
  • Tea Party - Minako comes down hard on Ami for wasting time when they have a war to win. Minako, Ami
  • A Glimmer of Hope - Maybe... maybe that wasn't actually Mamoru that died. Usagi, Homura
  • Sympathy Donuts - Kyouko comes to visit Usagi and give her some awkward comfort and doughnuts, then both finds out she's Sailor Moon AND gets scanned by Ami. Kyouko, Usagi, Ami
  • Cutscene: A message for everybody else (Minako Aino) - Minako writes letters to cover for Mamoru having disappeared that'll work for having died, too. Also: extra-special helping of sad.
  • Catching Up - Ami, Minako, Usagi, Daisuke
  • Illicit Science - Conclusions are tentatively reached. Ami, Rei
  • Cutscene: Pressures (Homura Akemi) - Homura is convinced Mamoru is alive. But-- she's also found out Pluto won't let her savescum and Walpurgisnacht is coming.
  • Hugs for Makoto - Usagi visits Makoto in the magical girl clinic to give her the bad news about Mamoru. Usagi, Makoto

Epilogue

Everything else follows.

  • Revelations - Our heroes use logic and detective work and gut feelings; Ami compiles everything and confirms that Mamoru did not die on the rooftop-- but that he was stolen from under everyone's noses and is now in the hands of the Dark Kingdom. Ensemble.
